Name: Catos
Full Name: Catos Sonus Sicarius
Appearance: Standard Marine, Without Helmet, With Hair!
History: Catos is the son of Ultramarines Captain Sicarius and is heir to the dukedom of Talassar. Catos however ran away from home and joined the Ultramarines chapter, unaware that his father was the captain of the second company. Catos showed great potency in close combat and was very lucky when it came to the small problem of plasma pistols. Nevertheless, he rose throungh the ranks and ironically was placed in the Ultramarines second company, much to the amusement of his fellow scouts. He was also remarkably proficcient in protecting his mind from the clutches of daemons, such as the assault on Ulthrax IX. Following the cripplement of Marneus Calger, Cato Sicarius took over the position as Chapter Master of the Ultramarines. Catos Sicarius was soon elevated to the position of captain of the second company.
Wargear: Artificier Armour, Shadowbolt Sword, Frag and Krak Grenades, Jump Pack, Masterfully Crafted Plasma Pistol created for the duchy of Talassar.

I’m going to say that we are starting this from the beginning. I will pm each person with their bases location. You can choose to start in you base or onboard a cruiser. If you are on board your cruiser and you want to get down. You must choose a direction for your transport/teleport. These are north, south, east west and middle or a combonation of the first four. You also get to decide what you have with you (within reasonable perimeters). Alliances made must be fluffy (so no chaos+IoM). IoM and Space marines are automatically allied and so are daemons and Chaos. You can be of any faction that there is a dex for. That’s me have fun X]

Name: Romulus Greythroat
Full Name: Romulus Aredic Greythroat
Appearance: Classic Space wolf Lone wolf, covered in armour and totems af fenris sporting the emblem of the Black Wolf of winter symbolizing the cold reality of life and the brutality of death. His Frost sword never stops growling its lament of doom and his thundershield never stops crackling.
History: He has raged across the battlefields of the 41st millenium hoping for the glorious death in battle that has awaited him these long years, he avenged the former members of his thunderwolf cavalry pack along time ago and rides into battle astride his massive thunderwolf and old friend: Bloodmaw. His pack was decimated by fanatic worshipers of slaanesh when they detonated a massive explosive as his pack cut through them, only he survived and he and his cybernetically repaired friend have become almost a legend in that noone can kill them, his hands brought down a bio titan of the tyranid horde as it was approching a settlement of the imperium and then he dissapeared, the near victems of the monstrosity unable to laud their saviour, he now travels in a borrowed transporter of his Ordo Malleus allies strapped into the core of Bloodmaws robotic frame he dances a bloody crusade across the galaxy.
Personality: A true veteran of battle who can ignore the extremes of emotion and can suppress the russ gene in his blood. He has forsaken the usual spacewolf way of fighting alone and attaches himself to any squad in combat with a foe, eager to reap his blood toll. Laughs easiy and quick to joke but his mind never stops thinking.
Wargear: Frost Axe, Stormshield and his mount Bloodmaw

Full Name: The Murderfex
Equipment: 4x scything talons, bio plasma maw, flesh hooks, Leader-beast synapse relay (Big brains!), Hardened carapace, bonded exoskeleton, regeneration
Appearance: A horrifying bipedal monstrosity, with viciously spiked talons and sinister glowing red eyes. it's carapace is a dull, bloody red and it's skin underneath is a slick obsidian.
History: The Murderfex is an uncommon deviation of the carnifex genus that demonstrated synaptic control over lesser tyranid beasts in the absence of formal leaders such as hive tyrants and tyranid warriors. It seems to travel between hive fleets by having it's genetic code assimilated and re-used on battlefields where the conventional leader-beasts draw too much priority fire. It can be noted that on every occasion, it has displayed the same carapace colouring regardless of the hive fleet it's attached to.

Bar'goth observes the chaos fleet. Hiding the mainstay of the tyranid fleet out of sight in preperation for his attack. Soon the valuable Biomass would all be theirs. Nothing could stop them. Quietly the tyranid fleet reveals themselves and attacks the rear of the chaos fleet. Bar'goth grins as he prepares for the upcoming fight.

Romulus watches the main space wolves force head out with sadness in his heart, he knows that armies as powerful and spendrous as this are often torn to shreds by forces outside of his control. From his position atop Bloodmaw he observes a strange flickering in the sky and vengeance grips his heart: chaos. The enhanced autosenses in his borrowed Ordo Malleus helmet pick up the subtle vibrations of the warp power of a chaos sorceror in the space above, realizing that this may be his last battle he whispers to his old friend: "shall we dance one more time Blood?", locking on to the source of the disturbance he initiates Bloodmaw's in-built teleporter. He has one last brief glance of the sky then his vision is covered in the whispers of the warp and for one terrible second the deamons of chaos reach out to him as he uses their plane to assault the chaos ship, and then he is through his eyes resting on the bulkhead of a massive door in the warped livery of the chaos gods.

I send forth many genestelers and other cc guys to assault the ship. Maenwhile I'll send a synapse creature to try and direct the ship into other chaos ships. most likely a zoanthrope. Hopefully this insane plan works. Meanwhile the other hive fleet ships will continue to assault the chaos ships. ( BTW tyranid ships are living themselves in a way and they like crash into other ships and release a wave of nids. )
Silently Bar'goth readies a mycetic spore to deploy as a precaution. He grins as through the screen he sees his ships hurtling forward. "Those fools thought this was the main attack." He smirks, then reaching into the hive mind he calls out, "close the pincer". More tyranid ships appear from behind the main attack and encircle the Chaos fleet.

The murderfex relays the message to intercept the scouts and surround them. Waves of chittering gaunts surround the scouts and the towering murderfex sprints towards them. Plasma crackling in his mouth, it's screaming charge alerts the scouts and draws the fire from the gaunts surrounding them. the sniper rifles and bolt shells do little but to scratch the chitin of his armour. The murderfex unleashes the volley of superheated bio plasma into the scouts ranks as they are flooded with the fire of fleshborers. Surely the scouts have voxed the source of their demise, but it mattered not to the murderfex. only that there would be more prey for him to exact his fury upon. Alerted to the smoking wreckage in the southeast, it strides towards it with his underlings behind him. would that there be prey alive amongst the wreckage!

While he was walking he heard something rushing towards him. He knew that there were Tyranids already on this planet, and know they must be coming for him, they could mostprobably smell him from a mile away, so know they want his flesh as dinner.
"Everybody, battle formation! Prepare for them!" Kais told his troops. "Here they come..."
Then all hell broke loose...

The Murderfex rallies the ground forces under his control around the perimiter of the wreckage and acknowledges the hive tyrant. Hive directives dictate that tyrants are dominant leader-beasts, so The 'Fex cedes command to it. Something may well be inside, but the hulking beast would wait for the prey to make it's move. wreckage or not it was deemed unsuitable to rush into a trap.

Without warning a shapeless bellow escapes his lips and he charges forward shield raised to his front and his frostblade "Winterfang" held loosly in one hand, his yell solidifies in to his old warcry "PRO TOTUS ABBAS!!!!!!"
(for the allfather in latin)
reaching the huge creature after massacaring a few of its minions en route he swings his frostblade down in a blinding arc for the tyrants chest......
(for those who dont know a frostblade is a power weapon that increases the strength of the user by +1, so no written in armour saves)
Mean while Bloodmaw closes with the Murderfex, in a blinding jump it leaps from 100 paces out and teleports onto the murderfex sending both it and its quarry tumbling down the hill, Bloodmaw's jaws begin to close about one of the creatures sythes.....

The murderfex doesn't wait long. 'Fex sends his gaunts and genestealers around the sides while he is met with some resistance outside. What scant survivors remain are wounded and make easy prey. Though they fight fiercely there is little that can be done to stop it's rampage. Charging in close, he fires thick barbed strands that latch onto the armour of it's foes and bind them to the beast. It then halts and twists it's frame, using the flesh hooks tether to fling the assailants off their feet where it pins them to the ground with it's talons. One of the dying men scrambles to prime an explosive, but his strength falters as his frame is crushed underfoot. Sensing the approach of the tyrants forces, it slowly withdraws towards them leaving some gaunts to search the wreckage.

I saw/read all instances of "idiot wars" and it seems like whenever any player did what they were supposed to (which was attack somebody as per natural progression of 40k) they got omgwtfpurged for even trying. granted some of those instances were kinda mary sue depictions of how much ass their race would kick.. but the defense seemed to be an equally one sided "idiot wars" flaming of the individuals involved. If i'm never going to die and nobody can attack me personally, i might as well be Marneus MarySuegar.
I'm not even sure how to handle playing this game.
If i'm not allowed to engage any target that the gm's lead me to then what AM I supposed to do? (Since i was trying to do a sensible portrayal of tyranid behaviour, naturally any target pointed out by the gm is the one i'm going to be attacking.)
That said, The only (sensible) option is C) Run
Having been blocked out by the void shields after falling back, the murderfex witnessed a fairly insurmountable set of defenses hidden in the wreckage. It retraced it's path back towards the landing site. Perhaps the other warriors it had encountered had brought reinforcements for it to slake it's hunger upon.

I like Christmas. You are doing fine so far undivided. Keep it up. Btw. I was going on Wednesday, so I’m here for another 36ish hours. I’m seeing a strange absence of Kais's tau. Just a hit. If you don’t want to start an episode of idiot wars, use siege tactics and orbital bombardments. That way, you will die slower. We have entered a phase of waiting for Marta. To avoid future phases of waiting, characters that are the cause will become temporally invincible, invisible and immovable. Issues that may rise because of this will be looked at when they occur. I declare that all chaos forces are not allowed to be attacked or attack while undivided is gm. this stops faction destruction while his profile is unused. His is to busy to be both gm and a player.

You barely make it to your forward base with the monstrous Ripper swarm biting at your heels. Many Rippers never see the inside of your base, as most are gunned down in bursts of heavy weapons fire. Despite your best attempts, several guardsmen are still killed, and even a few tanks and emplacements are destroyed. A small number of Rippers lurk inside the base, awaiting the Hivemind's command. IG Options: A:Commence immediate lock-down of the fortress in order to perform search and destroy on the remaining Rippers B: Proceed as if normal, increase night patrols only. TYR gain a free choice with what to do with the remaining Rippers

The remaining rippers prowl the inside of the base, hiding wherever possible and digging themselves into walls, floors ect. This is a concerted effort to keep the occupants busy trying to hunt down relatively low threat targets while taking out some of the defenders from the inside

The IG base is under lockdown, defense personnel is lowered in order to devote more men for search parties. You have exchanged maximum defense for the safety of the men inside. Because of this, you cannot order any men outside the walls of your base.
TYR the hunt for the Rippers have begun, with the base defenses lowered, it is a prime chance to strike.

A: Attack full on.
B: Begin siege tactics.
C: Do not attack and continue to harass with the Rippers.

B)egin siege tactics!
Large groups of gargoyles start to form outside the base, drawing fire and firing upon emplaced defenders.
Meanwhile packs of genestealers and lictors attempt to infiltrate into artillery positions and silence/destroy ensconced tanks. To disable the larger earthshaker cannons and heavy artillery would be a great boon for the larger masses of the tyranid horde.
However the Murderfex has yet to be spotted in this ordeal...Perhaps waiting for a more concerted effort of resistance.

The IG put up a good fight. They show no signs of breaking, yet. However many guardsmen are killed and more tanks and fire positions are destroyed. You have also successfully infiltrated a considerable amount of genestealers and a few lictors inside.
Free option for just the lictors and genestealers, for the rest:

B: Stop and pursue another target.
C: Direct assault.

B) While the tyranids leave harassment units within the base, rippers, lictors, genestealers... it seems like the rest of the force breaks off. What is left of the devourer's forces serve mostly to sow fear and confusion inside the base and disrupt artillery batteries. Multiple encounters with imperial forces have given the Tyranids valuable experience on the function of the Guard. To disrupt their firing platforms is a boon to the advancing hordes. The Murderfex however takes his forces elsewhere, knowing that a frontal assault on that area would come at too great a loss and possibly defeat!

Oops, sorry, forgot to put the IG part. Fixed it. The Tyranids have laid off their base, it seems they might pursue a different target.

You make it to a small clearing, everything is silent. Until, you hear primal screams and roars. Opposite from your side, a group of feral Orks burst through the brush, behind them a large screamer-killer(Carnifex with a bio-plasma cannon) is in pursuit.

That said, the Ultramarines have yet to reply.
The IG base is in chaos, Lictors and Genestealers kill off many guardsmen during the night. Explosions erupt from the tank bays now and then.
Many are killed in action, and the ranks of the men are constantly thinned.

The orks have literally swamped one of the carnifexes that went ahead. It's roars and thrashing alert the Murderfex, who stomps through the brush to reach it. There are orks all over it, hanging off it's spiked carapace and hacking at it's bovinely-shaped underside. The murderfex fires it's flesh hooks onto the carapace of the carnifex, pulling the beast down with the carapace facing towards it. This measure leaves several greenskins crushed under it's massive weight.Pulling it's hooks back, it charges and fires it's bio plasma again.. but having used it fairly recently, the fire sputters and sprays like grenade frag. Fairly harmless to the thick carapace of the carnifex, but scathing and lethal to the lightly armoured greenskins. he charges towards the carnage, as the fallen beast regains it's composure. Together they slaughter the remainder of the assailants, too battle hungry to retreat from the certain death that awaits them. The murderfex calls out and keeps tighter ranks among the carnifexes as they traverse the jungle. They had already inflicted considerable damage on it's cohort, and even the murderfex had a score of wounds. As it's genetic structure re-knit itself, the Murderfex slowed it's pace through the foliage, knowing that more traps or greenskins were hidden.

A)
The murderfex and it's cohorts start to pass through the clearing where the previous battle had taken place. They pace forward cautiously, sometimes testing the ground for traps or pits. The clearing seems relatively devoid of obstruction however, so the Tyranids advance unabated for the moment. The gun-mounted carnifex's enhanced senses seem to be triggered by something in the distance. The murderfex pays no heed to this, certain it's just more ambushers. They will taste death if they show their faces, so their presence is of no concern.

The surviving Imperial Guard march together, in a long narrowing line, their souls and hearts broken. The rain and thunder beats down on them and the jungle constantly opposes them. They reach a river in the middle of the great jungle, and there they are stopped by a crackle of lightning and a clash of thunder. Behold, what appeared before them was an Angel of Death, a Defender of Humanity; a Space Marine. With the fire re-lit in their eyes, they welcomed the warrior of the Space Wolves chapter, ready for the coming battles ahead.
Feel free to discuss with one another what you guys will do with your free option.

The Murderfex senses the loss of the harassment forces. It seems that the base was detonated, resulting in the loss of the genestealers, rippers, and lictor. Such casualties had been expected to occur as the Imperials tried to maintain their stronghold, but it's abandonment is quite advantageous for the hive mind! Murderfex was much too far away to be in the blast radius, but now the skirmishes with the greenskins add an unforeseen challenge! There are only three other carnifexes with it, and none of them have gone without a modicum of damage.
(since the 'Fex and HT split at the chaos base, i don't see how he was involved in the explosion.. except as punishment for not being around.. lol. Anyways yeah that's kind unfair to him esp. since i was off doing my own thing with a relatively small amount of forces)

the conversation continues. scouts that had been sent ahead to locate safe routes around the enemy are confused when you ask them if the had seen any fortifiable area they had seen. the report the condition of the surrounding area in these directions.
1. go north to a swampy area.
2. going east would take you to a plain.

4. south will take you back to your old base
5. You are currently in a less dense forest area that would sustain fortifications.

Upon awakening Romulus walks calmly around the base inspecting everything that the guardsmen have accomplished, after realising that this is a more suitable base of operations than his own because of the proximity to the other races, he quickly familiarizes himself with the layout, after this he sits down at his cot, and begins to polish and clean his armour and weapons, taking several long miniutes to clean every last speck of grime of them, exiting the tent he whistles in a low base that spreads across the ground in all directions in a long throbbing note, in the distance the unmistakable shape of bloodmaw lopes across the ground, a quick teleport sends him sprawling into Romulus's arms, they greet each othe as old friends do and head to the command bunker for an update and the request of the guardsmens aid in an assault against the Tyranids, "They are weakened, now is the time to strike, they have suffered a grim defeat at the hands of the Chaos filth, and now that our enemies are fighting amongst each other, we can bring the might of the Allfather down upon them and send them scurrying back to the vile pits that spawned them!!!, what say you?"

The Murderfex is startled by a hail of sniper fire that sweeps over his position. The already wounded carnifexes at his side are mowed down, rounds tearing into their faces, chests, and other vital points. Using it's massive talons to block it's 'face' , the incoming fire patters off with little damage incurred. The Murderfex sprints away, into the forest where sniper fire will be obscured. There may be greenskins, yes, but those creatures fight with honour & savagery.. Not the cowardice of fragile beings who rely on firepower and machines to compensate for the weakness of their flesh. The Murderfex scoffs as it retreats, denied the pleasure of killing it's assailants.

The Murderfex uses it's synapse relay to pour psychic energy into the webway portal's activation runes. Engagement information from Eldar encounters remind it that the Eldar use these portals to escape. And it knows that there's no way out of this conflict bar this portal. Using it's flesh hooks to engage it to the portal , it pours all of it's psychic capacity into reactivating the portal. If it is successful, it plans to enter the webway and discover where it leads.. Anywhere seems more viable than being blown to pieces by the oncoming Tau.

I will take out my lovely rail rifle, and attempt to blow its head off with my sniping skills, yay!

The giant black sphere that swallowed the Fortress of the Raven had finally collapsed. It seemed that the Forces of Chaos have disappeared once again. Where? Only the Gods could know.

Bar'goth personally oversees the project but while their another devous scheme comes to mind. Suddenly he feels the murderfex trying to draw on the power of the warp. Investigating through the hive mind he sees the situation and immediately send his own physic powers through to help the murderfex. "Help will soon be on the way"

The commander on your com wakes up. "Burr, Vhat! of course we vill destroy any ships ve see."
the recon squad looks at you like your crazy. theirs no canifix near you base?
you can head out into the wilderness to find a nid if you want. the others are battling far to the south-west of you.

the portal begins to glow green, and then begins to go red. The gate must require some kind of key to activate! you can hear the wince of engines as the piranha’s fire at you. you turn to see a shot fired from the end of a rail rifle somehow rickshaws off you mighty armour.
behind the rifle is several tau and you can here more on the other side of the wall.
you then hear the terrible battle call of nid s further in the forest.
1. charge into combat, num num num!
2. attempt to rip through the physic seal on the portal.
3. RUN!
reinforcements will arrive based on a random number generator.

Shaking his head in disgust Rumulus stalks out of the command bunker and mounts Bloodmaw, "I am going to assault the Tyranids base, if anyone wishes to join me, you know where i will be, Pro totus abbus!" with those final words the haze of the teleporter surrounds him and he is thrown once more through the warp. emerging in the wastelands in front of the tyranid bio spires the sight in front of him shocks him to the core, never before had he seen so many Tyranids in one place, and straight after their defeat at the hands of chaos too. "this is it old boy, one last charge for the black wolf of Fenris, shall we dance once more my friend?" The wolf growls a strong affirmative and then rockets down the slope Romulus draws Winterfang and his Stormshield, powering them up in one swift movement just as he reaches the enemies lines, immediatly he is embroiled in seething hordes of Horrmagaunts, bitterly slashing his way through the masses he spies a massive tyrant at the foot of one of the spires, bellowing a furious warcry that skitters the remaining gaunts he charges forwards feeling the embrace of the Canis helix his body ripples and morphes as he leaps of Bloodmaw's back onto the tyrants chest digging his Frost blade deep into one of his shoulders. Bloodmaw leaps with him slamming the tyrant lower and crushig one of its legs in his massive steel jaws.

The murderfex relays the psychic power generated by the hive tyrant through to the portal, trying to strip the locks placed upon it. Having been shot squarely, it turns and charges it's bio plasma firing it full force at the trajectory of the shot that hit it. The bio-plasma blast would at best take one or two casualties but was fired mainly to disrupt their firing position. Using this window of opportunity, it doubles it's efforts to break the seal on the portal and egress through it

Post by: Evaelc
Using his legs Bar'goth kicks the tyrant away and then stops and grimaces at him. Bar'goth gestures to the walls where genestealers are scaling down. He gestures all around the lone space marine to the masses of Tyranid forms. "Do you have a death wish?", he snarls. "well I hope you like what I give you" and then through the hive mind barks at all the nearby tyranids. "Kill him." Lictors, genestealer, hormagaunts, termaguants, gargoyles rippers and all other types of monstrosities descend on Romulus. Several larger Bioforms lurk in the background such as warriors and even a few carnifexes. Now ranked by a couple of Tyrant gaurd, bar'goth continues his psychic chaneling.

Calmly eviscerating the Tyrant there he drops onto Blood's back still moving forwards his body is still rippling with the Canis Helix and his vision shifts between the auto senses of his helmet and the infra red vision that the gene imparts, feeling the blood rage inside him he charges forward into the fray. Quickly swamped by the Tyranid masses he cuts his way through them, by the time he has cleared a space around himself Winterfang is smoking and his shield has arcs of lightening spraying from its surface decimating the remains of the beasts stuck to its surface. He is bleeding from several small wounds on his face and chest. Seeing the tyrannofex steaming towards him firing blasts from its rupture cannon he grins, finally a proper fight.
Dismonting from Blood he cuts down a few more gaunts and yells in Bloods ear "go for it my boy!"
Blood teleports directly into the face of the monstrosity, landing on the front of the massive cannon dragging it down to the ground. Tearing at it he rips it to shreds disabling the massive weapon.
Close on his heels Romulus leaps up onto the face of the beast, using his sword as a climing aid he swiftly scales its massive hide, he deftly avoids the bursts of flesborer microbeasts and catching the rest of them on his shield. Summiting the peak of the beasts back he digs Winterfang into its side and drags down on it putting his whole considerable bulk behind the weapon and releasing his foothold on the beast.
In this fashion he drags his blade down one massive flank of the beasts body tearing open a massive rent in its flesh and armoured chitin.
The screams of rage and pain form the creature dont even phase Bloodmaw as he systematically rips the front of the creature to shreds, carving great bloody furrows of its body with his claws and tearing chunks of its armour of with his teeth.
Soon the beast succumbs to the weight and pain of the great Thunderwolfs assault, and sinks to the ground in a great bloody heap.
Mounting Bloodmaw again Romulus charges once more into the fray seeking more victims of his sword.

(lex article states: Imperial teleporters are massive devices built into spacecraft and buildings, and require considerable power supplies. The military use of teleporters is to place combat squads directly into battle from ships in orbit. Safety devices built into the teleporter prevent the possibility of squads fatally materializing into solid matter)
How you're able to teleport at will is beyond me

Not laying waste, just living up to the epicness of the games workshop fluff, im trying to make a point here, when an rp is run like this players need to activly counter each other otherwise battles tend to appear rather one sided. (And btw my char doesnt care if he dies remember, he longs for a glorius death in battle, and to do this he has to fight)

I have comprised all the episodes of Idiot Wars up to this point, remastered and edited to give the best possible grammar! Episode 1 blood reaper wrote: Araghist strikecruiser fell from the skies burning clouds of flies swarmed around the ship as it crashed into the Tau controlled camp , Plague marines and other mutated beasts along side Plague bearers and Vermin kin. Araghist charged into the nearest Tau troops screaming for Syrath! Idiot Wars, Episode 1, Attack of the Space Marines The Chaos marine troops are drastically outnumbered. They are pushed back and after the battle is over, only one squad is left. The tau squad is predominantly intact. What do you do with your pitifully small amount of your army? This proves that base attacking a tau army as the first thing you do on arrival is NOT a good idea. But this is only the start. The incompetence of some idiots will be proved in Episode 2, the chaos marines strike back Episode 2 coming soon Episode 2 undivided wrote: Deep Strike into the ethereal council chambers with my terminators. The rest of my warriors are ready for siege just outside the camp. Death to the Tau! What you have done is not my fault. Read previous posts to see what happens next. Scrap that, I’ll tell you anyway. Idiot Wars, Episode 2, The Chaos Marines Strike Back. Your terminators teleport into the council chambers to find.......no-one. A sign on the door explains everything--- Out for lunch-back later---. The tau guarding the room notice your arrival. Your terminators are shredded in a volley of rail rifle shots. Yes, they strike back, and die a miserable death. This has happened before. Don't say I didn't warn you. You may have to wait a while for the next episode. It depends when someone does something really stupid. Episode 3 Blood reaper wrote: Well if where going to be like that say hello to the giant warp gate, and who said this was my main base. Activate self destruct! The explosion will cause much damage Araghaist teleports back to his cruiser "The Pilliger". He orders an orbital bombardment on the Ultra\Tau base and with mine gone why not raze the planet ha ha ha, But the fun would end wouldn’t it Ill just Disintivaporate your base! And if that don't work all remaining forces attack! Burn and destroy the Emperors lackeys and the false corpse god! Idiot Wars, Episode 3, A New Flop, Unfortunately for you, a large chunk of the teleport module was knocked out during the artificial earthquake. The teleporter teleports you, but it accidentally teleports your squad of marines as well, and it teleports you to the northern magnetic pole which is rather too warm and bright for you. The communications are not working either and the orbital bombardment is not ordered. Episode 4 Shas'ui T'au Kais wrote: OK then that was unexpected but wahoo I am a commander!!! OK I assume I get a good battlesuit then, if so I will send a transmission asking for my battlesuit, ok now time for a bit of payback, but I will make it slow, first off it is a horde isn’t it, then this will take us a long time and we could die. So here’s a solution, I advise we retreat for a while and create a camp that we can get supplies to, then once we have enough forces and supplies, attack the Necrons. Guys do you think it is a good idea? Idiot Wars episode 4, Return of the Dipsh*t The retreating tau are cut down by the advancing necrons. Only a few devilfish and three squads of fire warriors are left, along with Shas'kais, Shas'davre and Shas'dern. However, the Ultramarines are still in the battle, orbital strikes landing every few seconds, but they seem to be fighting a losing battle, a final push would see them defeated. I'm quite sorry for doing this, I did warn you and unfortunately, Ledabot was already leaning towards this to happen, but it's that time again. Episode 5 Idiot Wars part: Too many to count, Revenge of the 'Nid. The Mawlocs entered into the courtyard of the Raven's fortress to find absolutely nothing but the large calibre guns staring them in the face. Meanwhile, hearing the sounds of death and explosions inside, as the Carnifexes near the walls the void shield activated earlier slam them in the face, leaving them confused. As the gargoyles and harpies attempt to rip the empty decoy guns, they are gunned down by Chaos marines awaiting them. Several genestealers and warriors manage to slip past the void shield after its reactivation. They are flamed and butchered by the Heavy weapon turrets' kill zone. Only small forces of the Great Devourer were lost. The rest of the xenos watch through the Invisible field as their brethren are ripped to shreds by the forces of Chaos. And now the latest edition….. Episode 6 Idiot Wars Episode 6, The Fainting Fenrus Suddenly, the earth begins to shake. A ravener rips up from underground. You try to teleport but as you try to enter the warp, you find yourself trapped. A terrible voice appears in you mind. “get ready to die” A zythethrope appears floating from behind a structure. And floats towards you. You try to raise you arms to swing your weapon but it is then that the ravener’s mouth griping into Bloods body drags him down into the ground. You let out a yell as the very angry Bar’ Goth descends on you. Completely at his mercy you only have seconds to react. At this point I was doubtful weather to let you live, but since you don’t mind. The great bladed limbs of Bar’ Goth rip at you sides as he slowly eats you. And that boys and girls is why we don’t play with giant hungry insects.

Yes. our accent effects our spelling. Woop!
and im sorry muderfix but bad news.
The portal explodes (my dice rolled a 1 ) sending stone everyware. you are throwen back into the unprepared tau squaching the first two.
your reinforcements are still imbound.
the remaining tau attempt to kill you while you are in the stunned state but you are still able to deflect some. you are in dire strights and you head for the large hole in the far wall created by the explosion.
You can do anything except attempt to assult the tau within reason.

The Murderfex retreats towards the stone wall. as one of the piranhas swoops overhead, The 'Fex fires it's flesh hooks into it and reels it in close enough to impale it and throw it to the ground. The piranha's explosion obscures the retreat of the hulking beast. It dashes off further into the forest, staying in thick wooded areas and avoiding clearings. Perhaps it failed it's egress through the webway, but it had certainly denied the access of any other race! It's bearings somewhat lost, the Murderfex tries to link with the Tyrant and runs towards the base. If it is to attempt any assault it certainly cannot be caught alone again!

Having reached the base again, the Murderfex retreats into a large mycetic spore. It is covered in wounds from it's various encounters, it slumps to the floor, and leaves it's mouth ajar. Engorged rippers cascade over it's body, depositing biomass and secreting enzymes to seal and repair it's wounds and rebuild it's carapace. The murderfex is aware that his previous attackers would surely be following it's trail, but would they pursue it right into the heart of the beast? The murderfex knows that the other races will vie for the destruction of the tyranid threat at one point or another. Unless it is fully prepared for another onslaught it will be destroyed and the chain of command amongst the lesser tyranidia will be sorely disrupted.

(I had not forgotten, I assure you. Tyrants aren't the only synapse creature, they rely on other beasts like warriors ect to extend synapse ranges. As they cannot be everywhere to command every being, the loss of a major synapse creature would screw up the command net)
Muderfex remains in the safety of the mycetic spore pod. However, aware of the tactical situation... It is deemed that surface fortifications would be of little use. Mawlocs / Trygons & raveners ect. are gathered to tunnel their way deep underground & create a base of operations out of the range of artillery fire. V shaped tunnels are employed at the entrances to prevent the ability to just drop a bomb in and watch it roll down inside.Snaking tunnels within are employed to obfuscate firing lines and shorten visible area. If the other xenos or imperials wish to throw themselves into the mouth of the beast, they will have to fight on the whims of the hive.
The murderfex, for the time being, remains topside. amongst a great number of mycetic spore pods that are seemingly abandoned, there is no way to ascertain it's presence amongst them.. And no way, barring sheer luck, to find the one the devious beast is interred in.

Name: Tyranic
Full Name: Tyranic Daegos Arelas Marta
Appearance: Chaos space marine in heavily modified terminator armour, a banner of slaanesh extends from the rear plating, the lower legs are slightly mutated into massive hooves that are welded into the plate. The helmet consisted of a faceplate of ensorceled marble mixed with plasteel and gold. the helmet then arches back into the armour. His face is mutated into a blank slate with a thin mouth and bloodshot eyes, no nose or ears and his armours autosenses are joined directly to his brain, his body has been destroyed in battle so many times that he is more machine than man, he is practically a suit of enchanced armour with a warped CSM brain controlling it.
Prsonality: After being crushed in the warp for 3000 years he has lost all sense of morality or passion, he is a perfect worshipper of slaanesh always attemping to restore his flagging nervous system to its former glory with incredible acts of decadance.
History: Once a loyalist Space Marine of the Black templars his ship and crew were lost in the warp for millenia and the spawn and followers of chaos found and rebuilt his body into the near machine it is now, always searching for the exaltace of battle and the adreniline it brings he takes every opportunity to destroy those who he believed left him for dead, holding no loyalty to any bar his appropriated patron, slaanesh. He takes what he wants and many whisper that slaanesh will not let his champion die. He wages a personal crusade against the Black Templars and those who work with them, he takes the fight to those who left him in the warp for all those long years.
Wargear: Blastmaster, Modified Lightning Claws (just allows them to be equipped over the Blastmaster)

In space a massive warp jump unfolds spewing hundreds of ships into the surrounding space that engage the remaining fleets, the main assault however is a decoy allowing several thousand chaos droppods to scream to the surface near the chaos base, the sky is blackened in places with the numbers, They thunder down spewing forth tides of renegade warriors, who quickly decimat ethe small resistance in the area and reninforce the chaos stronghold, in the midst of them a warp portal opens and a hulking figure in terminator armour strides through the breach with a group of just as heavily armoured warriors behind him, (only teleport this char will do unless someone else teleports me its just his entrance) Tyranic Marta oversees the army around him bringing the full weight of his will down upon those who tarry, eventually the army enters the fortress and begins to enhance its size and defences as several companies of iron warriors came down in the drop The commlink in his helmet splutters into life, "mission accomplished overlord, we have succesfully deployed all ground troops to the surface, pulling back into the warp" Tyranic grunts into his visor, "Excellent ensure that none of these dogs follow you, we must make sure the Allpower is protected, the fleet is too powerful to be trapped fighting here, out" "out" As Tyranic makes his way to the spire peak of the fortress, in orbit the chaos vessels jump back into the warp leaving only the wrecked hulls of their enemies as proof they were there. Tyranic opens the door of the Spire peaks tip and sees a powerful figure in the center of the command room, immediatly he drops to his knees and bows his head. "We thought you had died great sorceror" The sorceror in the room turns and instructs Tyranic to rise "These dogs cannot kill me (maniacal giggling), I am far to powerful for that. You have done well, these reinforcements are timely, and well looked for, you will now proceed to gather reconnasance about the forces on this planet, we must not fail this battle, the secrets contained on this planet are to valuable to lose" "As the gods command" "Let it be done" "And so with this breath" "We curse the false Emperor" The sorceror finishes the ritual and sais as Tyranic turns to leave, "Do not fail, you dont want to make me angry, I have already lost one source of fun to the Tyranids i will not lose these weaklings as well" "As the sorceror wills, I will now go to my warriors and make these fools wish they had never stepped on this planet."

background: on nocturne the salamanders of the 10th needed to do an ritual to become an battle brother with power armour. they needed to slay an salamander and bring his carcass to the armoury. on that mission they found him arogh. he was only 7 years old and was living fully by himself in an cave. they took him and raised him as their battle brothers. and so he became an battle brother on the age of 52 (which is quite young for an space marine). in his actions as battle brother he fought against many and one of the most memorable things was the fight on armaggedon to save civilians from an artillary bombardment. risking his own life to save the child and his mother.
wargear: nocturne's wrath (an master crafted thunder hammer) the flame of Hephaistos (an self forged flamer)
and the terminator armour: the black dragon

They MUST be popular.

But sure I don't see why not. Of course even though I created this RP in the first place you'll also need the thumbs up from Ledabot, the GM

I assume you're counting chaos. lol one highly inactive player (who somehow got away with being a codex character + some extra mary sue) and one new player.. hardly makes a horde! (remember the space wolves team is out)
Sadly there are a couple players who started and kinda just never went anywhere, or aren't consistent for whatever reason. I was hoping to see more involvement from those factions!
I guess today IS christmas! Hope you guys get some nice presents & tasty nom noms!

Hmmmm. yes there are currently 2 players that are sm. Nocturne's wrath and Catos (last posted on the 13th) hardly a large amount.
perhaps start with saving your guard friends from depresion.
On a sad note, me and my family are going away till the 11th of jan on holyday. we will not have internet access. (NOOOOO!) This of course means that I wont be able to gm. :(

when returning to nocturne after fighting in the vengistan sector. they received multiple destress calls from the planet of rak'noll.
"sir we are receiving multiple emergency calls from the planet of rak'noll."
"ok full speed to the planet of rak'noll, we need to aid the emporers loyal servants as it is the honour code of the 4th"
"yes sire"
"when in range ask the loyalists for their coardinates and go in defencive positions, as we dont want to get backstabbed. so activate all the radars and bioscanners, and watch out for anything strange"
"sir yes sir"
(on the comlink) "al personal to defensive positions it looks like we are not going to nocturne after all."

nice, i like your style. Hard to believe you joined dakka just to be a part of this
I guess I did spend a lot of time lurking before I joined.
Whoa man, GM's out again? Who is going to do it now?
35940
Post by: Shas'ui T'au Kais
Well I did start this RP but I am not sure whether I should GM
35808
Post by: Mukkin'About
Seems fitting for you to take GM for awhile, unless the issue is that you don't want to do it. I would do it but i'm only on when the majority of the players are asleep
35940
Post by: Shas'ui T'au Kais
Hmm who think I should GM?

Post by: Shas'ui T'au Kais
Hmm ok I can work with that
You jump up alert as you hear something coming over the comms,
"Urgent assistance needed, under heavy attack from armed forces, its Necrons! Repeat, urgent assistance!"
A Go out with a squad to lend them a hand
B Could be a trap, best leave it
C Someone else will do it

So yeah lets go on with your options
(I presume you have advanced hearing)
You are stomping along when your advanced hearing tells you that there is a battle going on, biiiiiig battle.
Your hear bolt fire and the screams of helpless troops as they are cut down.
A Interesting, must investigate, possible meat.
B Murdafex ain't stupid he knows a deathtrap when he hears one
C Charge in, must kill!

A Help, they are in trouble.
B Definitely a trap.
C Someone else will do it.

As Tyranic Stomps out of the command center his terminators (4 man) are already arranged in battle formation, taking charge he calls into his comm, "Bring up the Emperors Folly".
A huge rumbling beast of a landraider steams out of the base, grinding to a halt next to the squad, Tyranic growls a last unholy benidiction to his squad and orders them into the raider. "These dogs will pay for thee insolence!!!"
