you and a platoon of other chimaira mercenary been in the badlands for over a year fighting a deadlock war witht the other ruling powers. You find yourslef pinned with the last of your unit fighting overwhelming odds. tens of enemies have fallen by your blade yet they keep streaming in. a slash destracts you for a moment and the death set againts your head by a fail.

Images of distorted deminsions, demons and angels killing eachother than saving one another. confusion sweeps thorugh you as you find your self in a dark castle in a halllway filled with corspes. your hands burns as if branded and you find a dark spiral tattoo going down your arm with words of a unkown language.

you go down the hallway breathing in a dark fog, you feel like your home within this eerily castle. you are so caught up with your own thoughts you didnt realize a door behind had open. it was till a loud moan of hunger broke your attenition. a grey undead creature stupidly looks around and fixes its sight on you. you reach for you weapon to find none

you look around to fine nothing but the undead beast wailing arms at you as it stumbles closer. your hand burns with great intensity, the unknown dialect forms new words of your nations language.

Temilin was making his rounds around the camp blessing the wounded and thoses requiring spiritual help. the camp located beneath a dam creating a drought for the other armies in the bad lands. the soldiers been here days without contest and fiannly lowered thier gaurd. a firely metor some say others, the survivors, saw a fire ball freashly spent form a capital slams the dam forcing it to burst. the massive kill all in the camp excempt the wounded on a small hill on the hill. Temlin trap by a timber ontop of him couldnt move as the water level slowly rose above his ironically drowning him with his most holy of objects

you awake to find yourself sinking in a deep but beautriful clear water. you rush to the surface to find yourslef not being able to breath the air above. you dive back down to find you now breath under water. you look around to see stone statues also sumerged in the water

Temlin was shocked, the fear making his mouth dry as sand. He waded towards the statues, perhaps they may help him.

you step within the center of the stone to find it as the foundation of a temple. your back becomes to tingle, as you approach the apex of the temple. a mirror hidden in sand reveal light blue tattoos over your back. once your in the center a vast shadow as dark tendrils lash at you

Background: Once a happy and content Dwarf living in the mountains, Kurgan's life was turned upside down years ago when his family was slaughtered by raiders. Grieved beyond comfort, Kurgan left his life and became a nomadic slayer, traveling the fringes of the world, seeking the biggest fights with the most dangerous monsters and villains in a suicidal quest to end his miserable existence.

the Badlands have given blood raiders power and reputation and thier berserkers fearsome and mighty. a skimshe have been the reason and its been immedaitly birthed into a full scale battle. your axe been slaying any who stood in your way friend or foe. it was till you heard the heavy breathing of a battle troll that you remember what being a afraid was. is massive fail broke several men around you, your hieght saving you by a inch.it immedailty grabs you and begins devouring you.

you awoke to similar sights of a caven mined to familar fashion of your home drawven ways. you walk around to find a stone golem burrying purple diamonds. you look at the diamonds to see your reflection and the new brownish grey tattoos on your face. you move closer to golem to see something, a face within the diamond. the face belonging to your dead wife screaming mute. anger bubbles and you attacked the golem that been diligently ignoring

Tremlin screams in fright, attempting to flee.

Kurgan's anger boils through him and his hand grabs his two axes. He raises them screaming the names of his wife and family as he swings for the golem's head

you rush to the outer circle to find a force compelling back to the center. the giant octopus begins sending its tenticles going through the open door pass. begin chanting a prayer preparing the terminal for thier demise. the words "our faith within the water shall save us."

(Kurgan)
the golem smash in pieces, you go to put your wepons away to find you never had your axes in the first place. you used your bare fists to kill the stone being. you claw at the diamond at your wife. the golem final words appear in before "the stone breaks all"

Kurgan's anger fizzles as his astonishment takes over, he looks at his hands and turns them over trying to find the source of the power, he hears the last words of the golem and wonders at them. A smile creases his face as he contemplates his new found powers and how they will help him kill even bigger things. Taking one last look at the purple diamonds, he sees the tattoos and grins, this was going to be fun.

Kurgan rises and walks through the cavern, looking for a way out or another beast to slay.

you find yourself in the appex of the cavern with largest diamond could be found. a image of a dark best lay beneath its solid wars. a image shoots through your mind of the diamond shattering

Kurgan's hands immediately go for his axe upon instinct, but he remembers the golem, how it sundered beneath his hands, the vision of the shattered diamond filled his mind and he wondered if the same would happen to the diamond, and what would happen to the creature underneath if he did so. Kurgan figured there was only one way to find out, he launched himself onto the diamond and smashed it with both his fists, hoping it would shatter like the stone had done.

I slip into the shadows, and take in the power, before letting it go upon the undead monstrosity, the shadows consuming its weak body.

you watch in marval as the shadows act llike chains grabing the being's limbs and pulling it apart

the diamond explodes shattering in a thousand pieces as it does so does the reality around you. you awake in a tent bonded, you hear cheeliry voices out side

Kurgan quickly looks around himself. He angrily wonders what sort of sorcery has tricked him and swears he'll rip whoever is playing with him to shreds. Kurgan struggles and eventually breaks his bonds and stomps outside to see what all the commotion is about.

you find your axes in a bundle next to you. a dark figure appears before.
he holds a mirror to your face revealing the tattoos
"do you know what you are now."

Kurgan looks at himself in the mirror, he sees the golden rings in his nose and hair, the ornamentation of a slayer. He sees the scars....and the tattoos. For the first time he wonders how he had gotten them and who had given them to him, and more importantly, how did they give him this power over earth and stone? Kurgan looks back at his hands and then to the dark figure, He spits on the dirt next to him.

"Not really" He says in the gruff voice of the dwarfs "Just another old slayer with a new trick up his sleeve..." He finishes with with a grin and takes hold of one of his axes.

I smirk, and go to investigate the area where the monstrosity came from.

you see an altar glowing with the only natural llight withn the castle yet the light contain a sinister feel to it

I walk up to it slowly, and observe it, try and make sense of it.

the altar is of plain stone and it contains no information. a image spears your mind of a dark fog sorround ing the altar

a force that would normally break a mans entire arm smashing your hand to the ground.

Still blubbering like a babe, Tremlin reaches out to the mind of the cepphalapod.

Kurgan grunted as his arm was forced down, he laughed haughtily as he brought it back up.

"A little jumpy are we? Don't worry, If I wanted to kill you, I'd have done so already. Its a reflex, a force of habit, can't be too careful."

Kurgan looked the figure up and down, sizing him up.

"What the hell is a seeker? Is that what gave me this.....ability?"

screeching pain enters your mind as the beast rejects your mind
your frozen in fear. you feel cold in fact your covered in ice from the nearby water

yes a seeker is a being sent to the spirit realm and brought back. they fight some sort of entirty that repesents themself. when they kill this entirty they lose half of thier soul but gain powers of the element they were born to
most go insane beacuse the soul is built on memories and those memories have a way of coming back. the reason why they are called seekers is because majority go back seeking their souls to be whole agian

Temlin weeps madly as he flails his arms about, then his panicked mind seizes upon an idea. He focuses on the octopus' blood, trying to force it back into it's heart.

Yeah! PAN system!

the blood didnt force its way back into the heart but massive ruptures of internal blood begins to kill the creature. your return to the center and begin dusting off the center tile. you find a hole and a pearl

Picking up the pearl, Temlin examines it, then inserts it in the hole.

a whirl pool swallows you and darkness similar to your death knocks you out. you awake to angry yelling nearby as you see your hands are bond, you look up to see a women in the clothe of a unknown religous order

Temlin weeps, his tears splashing the ground below. "I-i'll do whatever you want! Don't kill me!"

JEEZ your pathitic. i wonder how you became a seeker

a being with only half a soul, they lose a half for elemental powers. they are called seekers beacuse the half they lose is all their memories. at first they dont care tell a drip of the person they were before taouches thier lips and then thiey are on a quest seeking out thier lost soul

(Let me get this straight, our characters lost half their souls in exchange for elemental powers, specifically the half of their soul with their memories? Just trying to be make sure I'm getting this right.)

Kurgan laughs bitterly. "Insane? Most think I am already insane."

Kurgan thinks of the stranger's words.

"The spirit realm? Pah, your saying that I'm dead? That's strange, this doesn't look like hell and I dont remember dying." Kurgan says flippantly

He stops there, he DIDN'T remember dying, he didn't remember anything the last thing he remembered was waking up in a cavern next to a golem, that was it, he knew he was a dwarf slayer that much had been ingrained into his psyche but what scared him was that he could not remember WHY....

Kurgan cursed harshly. in the Dwarf tongue, unless he could remember he would forever be recorded in the Dwarf records as one who had not fulfilled his oath, and that was the most heinous thing a Dwarf could ever do. His mind's hope grasped at the stranger's words though.

"My memories? You said I can recover them? How? What ends of the earth must I go to recover my soul?"

Kurgan: yes at themoment the only thing your character knowns about himself is his name and what faction he is. he didnt know he was trading his soul at first too.

hahahaha now you know why we call you seekers. and i dont know that no one does. i suggest going to where the first seeker was ever seen.(marks the map)
there are two other seekers in the camp, you wil have to wait to leave till they awake, go train with hansen, hes the one next to the blue tent

Kurgan was confused but satisfied at least to be pointed in some direction, he grabbed his axes and without another word left the tent to find where it was that the figure had told him to go.

By far he figured it wasn't the worst thing that had happened to him, the worst thing being......

He couldn't remember.

Kurgan cursed again in Dwarfish as he arrived at the tent next to the blue one. He kept his hand on his axe haft not knowing what to expect and entered, looking around for this "Hansen"

Kurgan:
a tall elf looks you over and gets up and swings his sword at you

Kurgan's hand immediately comes up upon instinct with an axe in it, the blade of his weapon blocks the elf's sword.

"Oh your going to have to do better than that. You must be this Hansen I've heard of." Kurgan spat, he wrenched his other axe out and chopped it at the elf's midsection savagely.

"My soul? W-where is it?"

he swords slashes your cheek and the froce drives you away, you put your hand on your cheek to find its not bleeding.

Temlin
you traded it for your power over water

I move closer to the altar.

Kurgan reels from the blow but is astonished to see no blood coming to his hand. He laughs

"I guess having no soul has its perks" He says as he steadies himself. He notices his steadying hand has brushed up on something about his height, it is a large stone, very heavy. Kurgan's grin comes back.

"Perhaps you'd like to know what having no soul allows you to do."

Kurgan reaches out with his new powers and hurls the boulder at the elf.

the elf side steps the boulder and was shaken by the attempt.
"you idiot i blunted our blades via magic. nice try though"

zranze
a mysterous bleeze blows a some of the dark fog to the altar darking the light(hint hint)

"How can I get my soul back?"

Kurgan continued smiling, his wicked smile.

"Is that so? Perhaps you'd like to try this on for size!"

Kurgan wrenches up another stone and hurls it as hard as his new found powers will allow with his free hand. He then hurls his axe at the elf as well in the area he expects him to try to dodge the stone. Trying to keep up the pressure, Kurgan charges with his second axe in both hands intending to pummel the elf to the ground with it.

(Hmmmmm)

I use some of my newfound shadow powers to attempt to make the entire altar dark.

kurgan
you miss his body but the force of the shapnel slams the elf forcing his body into the air. he gets up, finding a cloth to cover his bloody face.

Zranze
you see tens of shadowly tendrils enter the room slowly blocking the light away from the altar. the rooms becomes pitch black. you blink to find yourself on the rock formation you were killed on. your wounds healed and your strength replenished. you hear voices nearby of complaining about finding someone's body.

Kurgan stands there, watching the elf get back up, he pants harshly and spits again on the ground.

"Had enough, pointy ears?"

Kurgan huffs again after hefting the rocks and retrieves his thrown axe.

Kurgan
"how crude. fine im done for now. i need to train the other two."

(Temlin is waiting for his turn to spar)

Kurgan sneered at the elf who haughtily rejected his combat.

"Pah, more wimpy elf talk. You're lucky I'm busy at the moment, pointy ears, or I'd have pounded your bones to mulch and dust."

Kurgan makes a dismissive hand gesture and stomps out of the tent, kicking a stone through the door and chuckling as he followed it out.

you are shown into a blue tent, where you hear the elf mutter about how dwarves have lost the touch of delicacy they once had.
your the water seeker are you? come fight me, use trickery if you must

I listen to the voices to try and determine whose voices they are.

Zranze
the voices are unfamilar. you see them in unkown colors. they dont seem to be any of four factions. but they are highly armed and seem to be unhappy.

I raise my blades, and try and make myself as unseeable as possible, preparing to strike at any moment.

Temlin rises shakily to his feet, the cold talons of fear gripping his heart in a death grip. Facing the elf, he points his azure stave towards him. Suddenly, the priest is filled with strange energy, a voice in the back of his mind urging him to call upon his magic. Without thought, he begins to fill the elf's lungs with his blood.

"Want to risk it? Otherwise, you should really run. Now, before I decide to kill you."

he simply grins, "thats for you to decide" he hands you a map and beginns walking away

I look down on the map he gave me.

it appears that he marked a clearing the nearby forest

Temlin rolls back, lashing out at the elf with his staff, intent on sweeping his legs out from under him.

you follow the stranger just out of sight, you arrive at a clearing with no one around but the stranger

Temlin flips upright, driving his staff into the base of the elf's skull.

before you know it you find yourself once agian on the ground. this the sword bashes your skull and you awake next to a dwarf

the armed guards drag a sorry excuse of a man into your tent and flop him on the cot

Temlin rubs his head, the strange presence gone from his mind.

a dark shadow open the tight, gray and dark steel march through the opening
he slides into the chair

Kurgan watches the man be dragged in and shakes his head with a pitiless glare, but when the dark shape steps in, he stands up, his hand going to his axe.

"What's this then? Another big ugly bugger for me to smash? I hope your tougher than that prissy elf!"

Kurgan snarls and stands his ground.

the figure appears to be a knight of the empire.
well then dwarf dont hurry after your second death?

Kurgan folds his huge arms and continues to stand, though less threateningly.

"Whats it to you then manling?"

Kurgan turns his attention to Temlin who is still on the bed.

"And why in Grimnir's name is this twig here? I could pick my teeth with his bones!"

Temlin cowers, throwing his arms up in front of his face. "T-temlin, priest of Myrm."

you reach the clearing to find the stranger in the center waiting for you

Kurgan's attitude changed as the man mentioned his death, he still couldn't believe he was still alive after his own death. He was a slayer, he was supposed to have died and in doing so gain an existence of honor and glory, and now...all he had gotten was another nightmare.

Kurgan sighed, and spat, he kicked at a stone with his foot.

"My name is Kurgan Ironbane, Orcslayer, Whatever power has seemed fit to rob me of a mighty doom has given me power over earth and stone...

Kurgan turned toward Temlin. "What about you twiggy?"

Temlin squirms, looking from between his fingers to stutter; "I-I was crushed by a dam, a shard of wood running me through. I-I can use water, to-t-to h-hurt people."

"earth and water dont mix so well", he chuckles "ah i died as well, i found myself falling and did somthing next thing i know im being carried to this camp." he says as he practices creating a orb of wind with in his hand

Kurgan stomps his foot on the ground and a stone bounces up to his hand, he crushes it with minimal effort.

"I was fighting a damned troll, one second I was in its gullet, the next, I was in a cave, then I was here. I'll tell ya manling, its been strange."

wonderful you both know how you died! yet we all know nothing of our previous lives. i was killed by a brimstone spell.

"I drowned I think... Then I was underwater, in these ruins... An octopus attacked me. I killed it with it's own blood..."

Kurgan bristles at the mention of his previous life. He growls in frustration as he struggles to catch memories that aren't there anymore.

"Grungi damn all this! All I ever asked for was a mighty death, is that so much for a slayer to ask!?"

Kurgan stomped angrily towards the tent's exit.

"I'm going to find what I've lost, and damn this waiting and anyone who stands against me!"

well both of you and me are now on the quest for our memories. i belive going back to the killing field is our best bet for finding any friends

Kurgan spat in the dirt and stroked the handle of his axe eagerly. He did something unexpected, and flashed a devilish, gap toothed smile.

"Killing field eh? Sounds good, maybe a little blood will cheer me up."

Kurgan laughed at his own joke.

Hey whats your opinion of the killing feild.

You and temlin and the knight begin to travel to the killing feild during morning and arrival before a mild skirmish starts.

Its all the armies just clashing with some small forces

Temlin shuffles behind, crying softely.

the knight screams SHUT UP AND SIT STILL FOR ONE MOMENT

Kurgan smiles wickedly as he sees the fighting in front of him. He draws both his axes, holding them out in front of him purposefully.

Kurgan begins stomping froward, intent on getting stuck into the fight.

"What are we waiting for you manlings!? Ain't nuthin like a good fight!"

Temlin raises his staff, looks around nervously, and looks at the knight quizzically? "What are we supposed to be doing exactly?"

It seems an potential alley isnt going to show but go ahead test your abilites

"Now, is this where the camp was, or are we just in an empty clearing waiting for an ambush?"

You are in a open clearing with the stranger in the middle of it waiting for you

Kurgan, now set loose, goes to work in the only way a dwarf berzerker knows how: He ran straight int to the nearest group of orcs he saw and began whipping back and forth with an axe in each hand. His fury boiled in his muscles and he slew relentlessly taking heads, arms, legs, splitting torsos and rending flesh. Within the first few moments of his onslaught he killed a great many and was covered from head to toe with dark orc blood, grinning ferally. With the immediate threats taken care of, Kurgan searched the field for a suitable challenge....

He found one in the form of a large, raging orc chieftain charging straight at him. Kurgan blocked the incoming, savage blow with crossed axes but the orc was strong and flung the weapons to the side with a flick of his enormous wrists.

Kurgan saw his death in the eyes of the orc and shrank to the ground...

he felt it with his hand, rock hard stone, Kurgan smiled in the eyes of his own death. He focused all his strength into concentrating on forming the stone beneath him. He was rewarded as the stone began to give and take shape in the form a a great hammer. Without a second to spare Kurgan flung the chieftain back with an uppercut of his newly made weapon. The orc landed many yards away, Kurgan closed in to stave the orc's skull in, laughing maniacally.

I walk up to the stranger and ask him where the camp is that he was tasked to take me to.

While you roar with pride as the stone bearer you decide to fight instead of dodging. as you skillfully block two blows by the troll. a memory of your wife filters into your mind. Givening the troll a opening where his ax buries itself through your body nearly spliting you in horizontally.

( what i meant by a memory of your wife filters through your abilties. means you were about to attack then a you pictured your wife, it was more of a reason why the character died and if you remembered i told you that sometimes memories come back. the reason why you died was you failed the test. you said 8 when it was 3 so you died, and if you play lazuras there were people dieing right and left and i dont care if there are three people if you fail , you fail and be prepare to pay the consquences.)

the figure is easily 6"5" its covered from head to toe in armor and you see red mist as its breath. its horned helm concentrates on you.

"If I will learn more of the Shadow Arts, then yes, I will."

"Good." in a instant you find yourself with the hooded stranger in front of a battle..
"Show us what you have know."

"I will be happy to do so," I smile.

I rush into combat, twirling my blades, slicing and dicing all with grace, before using my shadow powers to bring swift death to all around me.

you kill two men when enter the skimish, you see a knight killing enemies with his sword but it looks like wind is acting as a secondary blade

I disappear into the shadows before appearing next to the knight and plunging my blade deep into the gap in his armour around his neck.

no that what the knight is saying, i kinda got lazy once i heard from mordo he would be concentrating on darkness

your dagger lengthens with the shadows slicing through his armor he falls to his kness. a heaily armor knight takes his place swing a fail he aims at you.

He swings to find ground he looks down to see your blade slip between his helmet's eye holes into his eye killing him.

"well then thats pretty impressive." the knight says. "Now what can you do about my memory lost?"

"That will come back. But with time, and with our power pulsing through you."
