It is three years after the events of Dawn of War 2 Retribution. Azariah Kyras is dead and Gabriel Angelos is the new chapter master though he is badly damged after the fight with Kyras. Adrastia has halted the exterminatus of the remaining worlds in Sub-sector Aurelia, Meridan, Calderis and Aurelia itself. Though the Blood Ravens are themsleves free of the shackles of corruption there problems are far from over.
The Orks left on Claderis are regathering.
Eldar of the Uthwe craftworld re-appear and are raiding Meridan.
Reported Tyranid sightings on the Exterminated world of Typhon
And a old threat has appeared on Aurelia bent on the Blood Raven desturction for chaos undivied.
The question is who's side are you on? You can be one of the follwing: A Blood Raven from the 3rd or 4th company.  A Imperial gaurd from the 8th cadian or the 85th Vendoland.  A Ork from the Bad Moonz clan.  A Eldar from the Uthwe Craftworld.  A Chaos Space Marine from the Hydra warband.  A Chaos Space Marine from the Word Bearers legion.  A Tyranid from the Hive fleet Leviathan.  A Grey Knight. I think I might add some NPCs.
Captain Nero of the 4th Company.
Nero was promoted to a Force Commander at the prelude to the Aurelain crusade. He fought with Veternas of the Kronus crusade, Davain Thule, Tarkus and Avitus. He also fought alongside Cyrus, a scout Sergeant who fought in the Karvana capaign and Thaddues an ex-street brawler and now a Assault Marine Sergeant. He fought off with his handfull of Space Marines a full frontal Tyranid invasion. Though Davian was badly wounded when the Tyranid first made their presence know, he later fought with Nero as a mighty Dreadnought.
A year after the 1st Aureluian crusade, the planet Aureluia re-emegred from the warp. Nero, Cryus, Avitus and Tarkus went to respond to a distress signal which was a trap set by Traitor Guardsmen. When Eliphas showed himself on Meridan the Second Aurelian crusade began.The Commander and his veterans fought Chaos time and Time again. Sadly Avitus fell to Khorne. He was killed by his fellow brothers. Then the gravest secret of all came out. The Blood Ravens Chapter Master was corrupted by the Daemon Ulkiar. Nero, his handfull of Space Marines and the Third Company including Gabriel Angleos mounted an attack on the Chapter keep on Aurelia. Nero battled Ulkair and eventually killed him. Both Nero and Gabriel Angleos were exiled from the chapter for their supposed 'Heretical' thoughts by Kyras himself. Though Gabriel stayed Nero went to the warp with Thaddeus because both wished to repay their sins for allowing Avitus to fall. While Cyrus, Tarkus who masked his identity as the Ancient and Old friend of Nero's the Techmarine Martellus tired to convince Apollo Diomedes captain of the Hounor Guard the corruption of Kryas.
No one knows what happened to Nero or Thaddues untill a year after the killing of Kryas. When their strike crusier aptly named the Retribution returned from the Warp. Nero had lost an arm during the grueling 11 years in the Warp. Thaddues was lucky and not badly harmed. Nero is only one of a few who saw Gabrieal have to put in Terminator armour.
Nero has a thunder hammer and the Armour of the Angel. (The armour worn when Angleos was injured by Kyras).

It seems more likely as the Council of Sicarus could use Eliphas to destroy the Blood Ravens as a Sacrafice to Chaos. I also see it unfair as their are several Alpha Legion warbands in the sector that I'm a lone Wolf and he's the Captian of a Company.

Thank you , here are the numbers.
The Hydra
Numbers: 120 Marines , other large amounts of Cultists and Heritics to muster when needed. Techmarines and Sorcerers generly stay out of the fighting unless needed.
Tactics: Infiltration and Saboutage , large scale warfare is generly unused.
Colours and Symbols: Green and Blue , Cultists and Renegade guardsmen desplay loyalist colours as a methoud of infiltration or disguise.
Vehicles: Around 30-43 Predators , at least 1land Raider.

Right RP time.
The Imperial guard had been fighting for weeks now. With no help. Secertly leading them was Inquistor Adrastia, which most Guardsmen did not know. They were being pushed of Aurelia's capital and into the wastelands. Adrastia had sent an message to blood raven command 2 weeks ago and there had been no reply. Know Chaos forces were hunting them down, She had no option to ask the Ordo Malleus and the Grey Knights to investigate. Meanwhile on Calderis the Ork threat began to grow, the Blood Ravens and the Imperial guard held them back, it was a dire situation just like on Aurelia. Slowy the joint forces of the Imperial Guard and Space Marines started to break, the defsenive line was being cracked, Orks were pushing thourgh. What was a large expanse of land that was an dried out sea was now a trench network and the canyons either side of the flats were filled always with convoys suppling ammuntions, food and fresh soldiers. On Meridan the fighting was not so obvious, in the Eldar lurked in the shadows abushing anyone who was coming near to the base of operations. May Guardsmen detachments had been destroyed by the Eldar. Led by a farseer and an ancient warmachine. A small amount of Blood Ravens went to deal with this threat but they found somthing worse hiding in Merdian's lower hives, Cultists and Chaos Space marines. While the higher populace of Merdian are clueless of the war beneath them it is quite real and threatens every sing one of them...

Kain and his forces had made it onto the Planet about a week ago and had formed several encampments in the lower areas of one of Meridans founderys , he had his forces use it to produce weapons and repair vehicles that had been transported to the world using warp portals created by his Sorcerer Sindrithic and Xethousis. Chaos Cultists and Marines had set up armoured positions around the perimiters of the Camp and had set up Patrols in points where the enemy may try to break through.

Yano and his squad were pinned on the outskirts of Aurelia's Capital. On a routine patrol on the wrecked landscape of the surrounding area around the capital, a small platoon was sent to act as vanguards against Chaos cultists who were on the offensive.
A sudden burst of accurate heavy bolter fire from hidden positions mowed down most of Yano's squad, including Sergeant Hobbs, and the attached Commissar. The few remaining men of Yano's squad huddled behind the wreck of a Chimera, unable to retreat from the suppressive fire from the Chaos Havocs that were now in well entrenched positions.

Martes fear landed on the planet and set up a small camp with his 20 plague marines and 50 cultists.
He spoke a dark chant "To nurgle the the father of all grant me your powers and disease."
But his chant was intorupted by lasgun fire, Martes fear turned and ordered his troops to return fire it lasted 20 minutes before the las fire stopped.
Martes fear walked over to the location of the of the las fire and saw 2 guardsmen injured praying for the emperors protection. He was death incarnate, a tower of Wraithbone filled with dedication and purpose. Crushing the ape-like Mon'keigh beneath his great feet, Kieren fired a stream of monomolecular disks at a group of traitor Astartes running for cover, scything them down with the hail of fire, dropping them to the earth with wet thuds. A Rhino lumbered near the Wraithlord, firing at the god of bone with it's Havoc launcher, the rockets failing to scratch the surface of his armour. Bringing his great sword to bear, Kieren plunged it deep into the human transport, bisecting the pilot with the Wraithsword, and halting the tank's movement as the passengers bailed out. The crimson armoured Word Bearers opened up upon the Eldar gholem, their bolt shells failing to damage him. Taking aim, Kieren fired his Starcannon, unleashing the fury of a thousand suns in a bright beam of blue light, which utterly destroyed the Astartes.

Kain and several Marines cut down the Word Bearer Cultists in the area clearing the ammunition depo for a further attack and take over , the Cultists had hastily formed a weak willed defence and had fallen under a hail of bolter fire. Others mounted despret counter attacks against Hunter and his retinue of Chaos Chosen as they broke through the lines of the Cultists and Guardsmen , decapitating those who begged for mercy. After several small scale fire fights the remaining Cultists retreated and left the Ammuntion Depo clear for a full scale take over.
The Aspiring Champion tore his Power Axe from the chest of a Chaos Cultist who had attepted to bargin with Kain , a foulish and pathetic mistake. Kain had no use for Word Bearer Zealots in his War Band and realied on the pure skill of his Warriors. As Kain cleaned the Ancient Axe's blade two green armoured Marines bowed to him
"Champion Kain we have news of Death Guard forces in the Area , a smaller force made up of Zombies and Plague Marines. They apper to be lead by a Champion of Nurgle and have established a camp not far from here."

With the situation rapidly deteriorating, Onjage and members of the first company begin rallying PDF forces in the hives, and simultaneously request additional support. A large detatchment of PDF, with a few veteran marines among them, are sent to the surface to deal with eldar forces.

Martes fear has been on this planet for a week and his camp is now a stronghold with the powers of nurgle protecting it, large tenticles and claws attack any of nurgles enemys that pass.
Martes fear was worshiping nurgle with a sacrifice, the sacrifice was a space marine scout try to get a good look at the plague champion but got grabbed by a tenticle.
A cultits come running in "My lord are enemys know we are here what should we do?"
Martes replied "Dont panic nurgle will protect us and i know are enemys have detected us, by the time they find will will have a full army and when they fall in battle their corpses will rise and fight for us."
"My lord way dont you offer them to join us and a question what happens when we fall in battle?" said the cultits.
He was replied by a slash from the champions manreaper then the cultits body rose from the dead and the champion spoke "We could offer them to join us."
The plague champion walked out of the room.

The ork encampment burned. Marines patrolled the area between the ork dead, ending the life of any that was two dumb to die. The 3rd company banner flew high above the camp, Ancient Niven stood by its side, preventing anyone from approaching it. Guardsmen chucked orks onto a pyre by the corner of the camp, the smoke blocked the sun. Varn smiled beneath his helmet.
Yet another warboss slain.Yet another waaaagh! prevented.

Kain sat in his Command centre with his Sorcerers and Techmarines constantly checking the Communication of the enemy forces for any new activities or events, little more than infighting and desperate attempts at moral boosting.
“Check the Imperial Air waves now and incinerate any bodies and take ammunition dropped by or left by the enemy. Set traps and security devices everywhere and record any important information! Sabotage any vehicles in the area and have patrols hourly and deploy our infiltrators into the Imperial Forces and begin spreading our rumours and turn the Imperials on one another. Block communications and prepare the Herald for its departure and using our stolen Blood Raven Codes send them to the planned locations.”
Sindrith nodded to Kain’s orders and continued typing the many orders to the War Band and sending messages to the small clocked fleet in orbit preparing for its decent.

Sgt. Moody trudged down the trenchworks, where the dust was worse than the mud that he generally fought in, towards the command bunker where he and the rest of his company's leaders had been called for a briefing.
The fighting was pretty boring. Sporadic raids by units from both sides, accompanied by sporadic casualties, and more f***ing dust!
Gunner Bates, turret gunner on Moody's Chimera "Steel Fist", rushed past towards the motor pool, a large can of oil in his hand. Moody threw him a wink as he passed, getting a grumpy scowl in return, causing him to laugh. Everyone in the company was fed up. Due to the sudden advance of Ork units they were all doing what tankies hate...sittin' heavy!
His next meeting was with young Commisar Darr. Moody grunted in acknowledgement before trudging past - as the least ranking commisar in the company, Darr was not privvy to tactical meetings.
"Sargent!"
Moody turned.
"Are you not meant to salute the commisarate as you pass?"
Moody stood, dumbfounded, for a moment. "B***** off Darr!"

They rode back in the Chimera in silence. Of the thirty Guardsmen sent to patrol the outskirts, only a handful returned to the command center. Yano had managed to commandeer a Plasma gun from a dead guardsman, and relieved the corpse of two plasma flasks, a ration pack and a water canteen. It served the dead guardsman no good now, who was blown apart by an autocannon shell.
The ambushing marines were barely recognizable, covered in camouflage and dulled livery, although the surviving junior officer recognized them well from his battles with Chaos on Cadia during the last Black Crusade. They were unmistakably Alpha Legion marines. However, there was no intelligence from command about Alpha Legion being present on Aurelia. What were their motives? The junior officer could only speculate as the Chimera returned to base.
Yano disembarked from the Chimera, he looked back at the column of armour that had been sent to support them. It seemed that while the majority of the men sent to fight had died, most of the armoured support had made it back safely. There was little action at base, the area was heavily fortified, with Sabre defence platforms and Tarantula Sentry Guns littering the ruins that surrounded the area.
There was little time to rest for the guardsmen in the area. It was sentry duty followed by routine inspection by the Commissariat. Due to his newly acquired firearm, Yano found himself reorganized into a squad that had been on Aurelia for some time, who knew the enemy well after multiple close (and often brutal) engagements. This meant extra heavy equipment and more dangerous duties, but to refuse was to meet the end of the Commissar's bolt pistol.
For their next mission, Yano's team had been assigned to monitor the main road leading from the former industrial area of Aurelia to the capital. The base was situated in between, and any large spearhead would have to pass through that road. It meant that cameleoline, rations, vox networks and extra explosives to create snare mines and traps were required to maintain effective sentry duties.
The requisition store was busy as usual, with the ratling chief passing on equipment, rations and the general contraband to those who were willing to risk it. It was Yano's duty to collect the gear, the sergeant had ordered him, as it was the "new guy" who should carry the heavy equipment back to the squad. Even a relatively "fresh" guardsman such as Yano knew the fickleness of plasma weaponry, destructive yet potentially very dangerous for the user, but was prized by the tech adepts and commanders for the sheer power from such a flexible weapon. It took some hard bargaining, but Yano managed to haggle alternative equipment for the squad, also acquire the "Chef's Special", an ornate power sword belonging to the late Commissar-General Kafe, during her ill fated command in the Doman campaign. Among the extra equipment alongside the power sword were two meltaguns, fresh from the machine forges of Accatran, a sniper rifle using the rare Triplex multiple setting lasgun base, the cameleoline cloaks, several mines with proximity settings and various contraband items (including nitro inhalers and the latest issues of exotic magazines that Yano couldn't quite make out)
It was dusk when they set out, this time, his squad had the privilege of riding in an Imperial Navy valkyrie instead of walking. It would take them two hours to reach their drop zone.

It became abundantly clear that Nurgle's followers had taken the advantage in the brief firefight. Blood and puss was everywhere, but the bodies had vanished. It reeked of Chaos.
"Less bodies to burn..." Brother Jern muttered, his Terminator Helmet attunuating his voice.
"I wouldn't be so sure of that. Emperor knows what they've done with them." Onjage replied, examining the carnage.
A hanger door was ominously ajar, and trails of filth and refuse gathered near it. The lair was that way. Each Marine sensed this simultaneously, and no order to advance was required. Jern activiated his heavy flamer.
Reaching the door was no struggle whatsoever. No one was there to stop them. Always a bad sign, Onjage mused.
Almost as soon as the thought formed in his head, fire and light erupted.
A great slithering tentacle had emerged seemingly out of nowhere, and had lashed out at the party. Brother Huez was impaled immediately, but had enough time to call the creature, "Scum!" before being ripped in half. Jern was already at work, trying to burn away the flailing monstrosity.
Bolter fire filled the room, and the creature continued its rampage. Marines were being grabbed, flung and tossed about like toys. One of which was not let go. Brother Omnio had stabbed the thing with his combat blade, and was promptly blasting away with his bolt pistol. He would not last long.
Onjage loosed a ferocious cry and rushed the demon. Seeming to sense the new threat, appendages suddenly burst from its girth, and lurched towards him. 4 of 10 Onjage removed swiftly, but the ones that remained grappled and held his arms. Onjage snarled, and spit upon his axe arm, the tenctacle grasping it instantly recoiling. With his arm free, Onjage slashed out wildly at the thing, spilling foul ichor all over himself and the floor. He did not stop. Angrily and brutally he continued, untill a gaping wound was prevelant.
"Jern!" he called out, before being silenced with more blood from the creature. Jern immediately understood the strategy, and approached the Honor Guard. The remaining smaller tentacles attempted to stop the terminator, but its bulk was immovable. With a shout to the Emperor, Jern thrust the flamer into the hole Onjage had created, and pulled the trigger.
The creature convulsed and spasmed, but it was too late. A horrible screech reverberated through-out the entire chamber, and suddenly silence. The tentacles holding his bolt pistol firm dropped. Omnio hit the floor abruptly; the beast appeared to have forgotton him. Jern continued to burn its insides, untill the shuddering beast finally lay still.
5 of 30 Brothers lay dead. There was little time to mourn, however. Such was the life of a Space Marine. Onjage nodded, and they entered the dark room beyond.

The Chaos Cultist carried a strange device and bowed before Kain in fear of being decapitated or shot but was simply told to leave.
"Sindrith send the following messege to all Blood Ravens in the area, make sure the code reaches all of their combat units."
[To alll Blood Raven Combat Units disingage and prepare for combat with Ork freebotters. Leave the area now to face Ork Freebotters in the area and divert attention to Ork combat under orders of Gabriel Angelos , prepare for combat with Ork units.]
"Sir we have begun uploading the codes to all Blood Raven private Vox channels."

The Journey was terrible. Even in his mobile command Razorback 'Emperor's Fury', the ride was uncomfortable.
He had received orders directly from chapter master Angelos, to disengage, move to this area and prepare for combat with ork freebooter units.
He sighed. His entire company was there, withdrawn from there missions and brought to this area to engage with an unknown ork freebooter threat.
He changed vox channel so he could speak with the entire company.
"Blood Ravens dig in and secure the area. If the orks want this area they can come and get it, while feeling the bite of our bolt guns. None shall find us wanting brothers."
A cheer sounded over the vox.
"Our brother tech marines shall deploy tarantulas to support you. With aegis defense lines for you to take cover behind and bastions to fell the orks at its walls. Knowledge is power brothers, guard it well"

A brother plague marine ran into the chamber of Martes fear.
"My lord space marines have entered one of are hangers not far from here what should we do my lord ?" asked the Plague marine.
"Dont panic my follower these sad marines dont know what they are walking into. Are the zombies in place?" said Martes.
"Yes my lord, how did you know of the enemys actions my lord?" Replied the plague marine.
"Nurgle showed me, Send some cultits to to check that hanger to see how the emperors puppets are doing and you can led them and nurgle will grant you the power to raise the dead. Go offer the space marines to join us if not kill them and raise their corpses." Said Martes.
The plague marine ran out and ordered 10 cultits to follow him to the hanger they arrived at the hanger 30 minutes later they saw some of nurgles tenticles destroy but the space marines had moved on.... But they left their dead the plague marine asked nurgle to grant him to summon the dead corpse as he spoke they rose.
The space marine would not be happy to see their dead brothers in this form the followers of nurgle walked on following the space marines deeper and deeper.

Moody whooped with delight as he rode in the cupola of "Steel Fist", Bates, sitting next to him, legs swinging from the turret, grinned.
"This is the life isn't it sir?" the young crewman called across to him.
"Oh yes!" replied Moody, a great feeling seeping into his body from the reverberating Chimera around him. They were on the move, the order had emerged that the 85th mechanised were to assault into the ruins of the capitol, crushing all ork resistance in their path.
Bates shouted another question to him. "Why are we moving now? We've been sitting heavy for weeks!"
"Does it matter?" Was Moody's reply, though inside he shared Bates concern- the Astartes now sent to garrison the flank against ork free-booters were meant to be souring the cities, so that factories could be put back into production. Why were they being tasked with menial garrisoning?
As the outer habs of the city hove into view Moody forgot his fears, they'd get to grips with the enemy at last. With a curt nod to Bates to prep his turret weapon and side-arm Moody retreated into the tank to address his squad.

It was night when they arrived. Yano could feel the engines of the Valkyrie begin to power down as they began their descent. As soon as they jumped from the Valkyrie, it had already blasted off into the distance.
It would take the squad several hours to finish setting up the surrounding booby traps and sentry posts to monitor the area.
After several days of routine sentry duty, it appeared that a small movement of Chaos Cultists had began to move, taking with them a significant number of former Imperial tanks. Among them were Astartes Rhino transports which appeared incredibly rusted and oozed dark ichor.
The vox channel flickered to life as Yano powered the vox network. "This is squad theta, Chaos forces detected at sector 273-89, co-ordinates 28-31, grid reference G, requesting fire mission, over".
"Request granted, over and out" Several minutes later, a thunderous barrage from basilisk batteries rained down on the road. Although accuracy was difficult to achieve from such a distant bombardment, the sheer quantity of the shells managed to disrupt the column, forcing them to dig in to avoid the worst of the bombardment. Using his range-finder, Yano could see the wreckage of Chimera and Leman Russ tanks covered with chaotic graffiti. Black smoke oozed from these vehicles, making it difficult to get a clear view, however none of the Astartes vehicles were hit. Yano could see however that the majority of the vehicles had managed to swerve off road, and the heretics were now entrenching their position until reinforcements arrived, and they could safely attack the base, and finally force the Imperials out of the capital. It would be some time before the forces of Chaos would make their move....

BIC:Matres was waiting for work from his plague marine and cultits, he stud in the courtyard when a group of chaos marine walked over and spoke "We pledge are loyilty to you." these marines were word bearers.
Martes spoke "where are you from?"
The Aspiring Champion spoke "We came from the capital we have news about the imperial guard they are setting traps for other chaos followers, and we bring 20 marines and 30 cultits as a gift."
Martes looked down at this small group of followers his army was growing.
"We will send a small force to push back these weak guardsmen some will join and some will fall." spoke Martes.
The Aspiring Champion spoke "My lord we heard a message from a guardsman who sounds like he is incontrol his name was Yano we saw him to when we pulled back."
Martes laughed and said "You retreated from guardsmen?"
The Aspiring Champion replied "They called in fire support and we wont do it again my lord we can prove ourselves"
"You need to prove yourselves, you will take your men back and fight the guardsmen back when you do bloke communications so they cant call in fire support now go and fortify your position when you get there." Order Martes fear....

"Sir our Wolves have made some rather intresting information about the Death Guard forces they seem to have recruited new allies from the Word Bearers Warband , I suspect the Death Guard plan to use the population of Meriden as a army to take the sector. But I sence the wispers in the warp wishing to knaw on his bones and devouer his soul. The dark screams of daemons and warp beasts wish to be unleashed on this world , they could be a grand assistance in our conquest of the planet i you wished but they would require a sacrifice great enough to feed them."
Kain laughed sinsterly and sighed
"I trust no Daemon Sorcerer you know this perfectly well but after I have dealt with the main threat shall they be summoned. The Creatures shall not feast on my bones again... Prepare for the orbital bombardment of the Death Guard Base!"

As the word bearer troops set up position in the capital waiting for the imperial guard the Aspiring Champion spoke "we will slaghter these guardsmen in a haill of fire." as he spoke some dark shapes walked around the corner the Aspiring Champion yelled "FOR THE DARK GODS!" and a hail of fire sprayed the battlefield and both sides took heavy loses in the end the chaos marines were victorious, the enemy they slayed were space marines and guardsmen. The Aspiring Champion walked around the corner and saw a guards man shaking in the corner whispering "the emperor protects.." other and other he looked up at the dark warrior and the dark warrior spoke "DEATH TO THE FALSE EMPEROR" as he implaed the guardsman.
At Martes's fortress martes walked out of his command room into his worshipping area and he started to pray to nurgle after his chant he walked out to order his warrior.
"What is the report?" asked martes.
The plague marine replied "The word bearers lost 7 marine and 12 cultits and no reply for the others in the hanger, but we have had reports of the alpha legion not far from here and they a lead by a Aspiring Champion called Kain My lord."
Martes fear replied "I will go talk to this fine warrior see if he will join are cause." Martes walked to the enterince of his fortress and his plague marines ran to him and said "We will come with you my lord." martes noded his head and walked out his fortess with his bodyguards their destination the alpha legions camp.

Sindrth eagerly awaited Lord Kains answer as he did not wish to meet the Warriors of Nurgle in combat.
"Alow them pass but keep my guards ready and the Serpents Spine preapered to fire on the enemy , we must see if this Champion can truley bargin with me and my forces. The defenses were complete. 5 bastions with aegis lines connecting them protected by several interceptor guns and tarantulas.
If that didn't hold then the 3rd company and there supporting vehicles manning the defenses would.
If that didn't work then an orbital bombardment from the Litany of Fury would commence.
The orks will not take this ground.

"Keep the blight grenades ready incase they fire." Order martes.
They came to the enterance of the camp when a alpha legion marine stopped them.
"Keep your weapons low death guard!" The marine spoke.
"We will use them if we must. Where is your master." spoke martes letting out a chuckle at the end.
The alpha legion marine did not understand why he chuckled. He point to the area their lord was.
Martes walked over to the area the champion was.
"Stay here till i order you." Ordered martes.
"Yes my lord." Replied his guards. They stud at the courtyard waiting for their master.
Martes enter the room were the alpha legion champion sat.
"You are the lord of this small group of chaos marines, i come with a offer let us join forces we death guard are hard to kill in battle and you need the extra marines. Its marines you need not weak cultits. Will we join or will we battle with eachother ?"

In a matter of seconds the camp became became a flurry of activity as space marines rushed to man the defenses and formed a firing line. The tarantulas and interceptors whirred into life and began charging or loading there ammunition, hums and clicks filled the camp.
A massive dust cloud blocked out the sun and the ground shook to thousands of orks stampeding to reach the marines.
"Brothers we can not let these Xenos claim this ground. This ground is the emperors, this ground is the Imperium's, this ground is ours. The orks shall not pollute it with their filthy structures.
the orks will feel the bark of our bolt guns as we purge them from this holy land. By the chapter they shall not find us wanting."
"By chapter and emperor none shall find us wanting." the marines replied in union.
The orks came into view.
"Hold your fire brothers, wait until you can see the red of their eyes"
the marines faced the orks bolter's aimed watching as they came closer and closer.
"Hold...hold....hold...that will do open fire, FOR THE EMPEROR!"
The battle for the pass had begun.

As the Death Guard entered the chamber Kains chair turned to face them and quickly made a hand gesture to his men for them to lower their weapons.
“I see you have arrived Death Guard, Your decision to arrive was most foolish and ill fought and I cannot stand foolishness. I propose a test Champion of Plague and it is not simple in any way at all.”
Kains image vanishes along with the rest of the Chaos Marines in the blink of an eye and are replaced by newly formed Daemons.

The city was deserted, Moody didn't like it at all.
He called through on the vox to the driver's cab. "What's going on? Why aren't there any greenskins?"
The reply was muffled by a wash of static...another curse of the dust around them. "We've been infiltrated on some level, the vox-net is going crazy here!" Moody looked across to his vox operator Haber, who nodded to affirm the co-pilot's statement.
The vox opened up again. "New orders, the Blood Ravens 3rd company are being attacked by a greenskin force of unparalleled size, statistics say that they will buckle and collapse before the day is out. We are to move with all haste and flank the horde, sending elements to deal with the ork artillery."
"Let's get moving then driver!" was Moody's curt reply. The men around him looked at each other, obviously worried. If the astartes were beginning to buckle, then how big could this horde be?

Martes didnt think a chaos champion would be so foolish to turn down a death guard proposle and then summon some weak daemons martes's guards ran in and openned fire at the daemons. 5 of the daemons ran to a lone death guard jumped on him knocking him to the floor and stabbed wildly, 2 death guard turned to kill the daemons they fired killing 3 of them but the other 2 turned and decapitated them. Martes ran into the endless daemon hored slahing at them and his guards followed blood and limbs were everywhere the lesser Daemons had ended 5 Death Guards lay dead. Martes turned think it was over....suddenly 5 Flesh Hounds of Khorne burst from the warp 3 of them dragged a death guard into the shadows the other 2 leaped at Martes he slashe 1 with his Manreaper and shot the other multiple times with his bolter. The 3 Flesh Hounds of Khorne left came from the shadows mouths dripping with blood and ooze the remaning Plague Marines hossed them in never ending fire in the end 7 death guards lay dead.
"That foolish Kain his small army will rot in nurgles garden when we get him. Search this camp for information on where he would be.... NOW!" spoke martes.
"Yes my lord." Replied his death guard.
"My lord we have found a camp not far from the capital and thats it." replied a wounded death guard.
The angry death guards got back to camp warned their men and left but martes said his quick worship to Nurgle,
"Nurgle gift me the power to speak to all by my mind." Asked martes before leaving for the last time until that ship was out of orbit.
Martes and his troops had reached the capital and scattered but still kept com-links martes used his new power from nurgle.
"You are a foul kain you will die by my hand you are a coward. You are not a chaos lord you are a cultits nothing more nurgle will take your soul and devour it. Surender to me or perish." Martes spoke into kains head.

Leave the area now to face Ork Freebooters in the area and divert attention to Ork combat; under orders of Gabriel Angelos , prepare for combat with Ork units.
Silence. The dark passageway made not a sound.
"...Brothers, we have come this far. The Nurgle's rot that eats away at this planet is infinitely more insidious then Ork Pirates. What I suggest -"
"What you suggest is heresy! We've been ordered by our CHAPTER MASTER to disengage and return to the surface!" Brother Sall shouted, his hands clenched in rage.
Jern turned and shoved him into the wall, not holding any of his incredible strength back. The outspoken marine was haplessly flung into the steel, and Jern had raised his powerfistfist for another strike before Brother Omnio stood between them.
"HOW DARE YOU ADDRESS THE HONORGUARD WITH SUCH DISRESPECT!" The lens of his terminator helmet almost flaring with the rage of the wearer.
Still holding Jern's powerfist at bay, Omnio quickly interupted, "Brothers, please! This violence accomplishes nothing. What say you, Onjage?"
The Honorguard sighed, and looked at his companions. All were staring back, with the exception of Jern, the terminator still was furiously scowling at Sall, who remained on the floor.
"As Honorguard, I cannot obligate any of you to do as I say. So I will offer you this instead of issuing vain orders. To those who wish to continue the purge of Chaos from this hive, follow me. To those who wish to aid our brothers on the surface, you may go, and I will not stop you. I would only ask that you divert our brothers from the Eldar to the Ork Pirates. Should we survive the purging of Meridian, you will not hear my mouth uttering damning words against you."
Silence again filled the corridor. It's presence was stifling.
Sall rose to his feet, looked at Onjage once, and proceeded to walk away, back to the hangar. Onjage suspected as much, but when 7 more of his brothers also turned to leave, he nearly lost his composure. He wished he was wearing his helmet, so he didn't have to hide his expression.
When the plodding of ceramite feet were no longer audible, the remaining 17 brothers began the journey into the bowels of the hive. Such was the life of a Space Marine.
It was not long after the 'traitor' marines left when resistance was finally discovered in force. More tentacles had accosted them, but none of the size and ferocity of the first they encountered. Cultists assailed them from all angles, but the space marines, a breed above the rest, had no trouble with them. Jern battled with particular fervour; to show that they were no worse off for having lost 8 brothers, perhaps?
Suddenly, a heavy bolter not of their own came blasting down the hallway, a Death Guard at its control. The Blood Raven's composure instantly changed. They had found a traitor marine in the flesh.
"DEATH TO MORTARION AND ALL HIS FELLOWS!" Onjage cried, and charged. His brothers charged with him, fury in their eyes and the Emperor on their lips. The Death guard gave no noticiable reaction, but simply continued to fire. Gerhad was hit, and went down with a shout. Omnio stopped to pull him to cover, a broken doorway was nearby. It would have to do.
Onjage reached the plague marine, and swung his power axe. The Death Guard had been firing untill the very last second, before dropping the heavy bolter and retrieving his power sword. He ducked beneath the swing, and the duel had begun.
The Death Guard had lured Onjage into a trap; for he had been standing just beyond the corridor, in a large chamber. The Honorguard and his brothers had charged, leaving them exposed to all manner of weapons. Cultists were everywhere, on boxes, containers, and derelict loading vehicles.
Without needing to say anything, the Blood Ravens left Onjage to the fight, and engaged the amassed cultists, with bolter and flamer.
Despite being bloated with disease, the traitor marine was as swift with his blade as Onjage was with his axe. Their weapons were a flurry of glinting steel and grinding noise. Onjage raised his pistol as an opening presented itself, and fired. The armor held however, and in a sudden fient, the traitor knocked the side arm away. He returned fire with a swing of his own, aimed at Onjage head. He ducked, pivoted and dove to the side, swinging his axe as he did so. Tainted blood seeped from the side of the Death Guard's armor. His moment of stunned surprise gave Onjage the real opening he needed. And with a mighty blow, removed the torso from the legs. Onjage retireved his bolt pistol, and turned to the larger battle before him.
Despite being vastly outnumbered, the cultists were hard pressed to bring down the space marines. Only one had been felled, and almost half of their number was gone. Onjage laughed, and ran to the fray. Their work here was nearly done.
It was clear that whoever had been running the operation was long-gone by the time the space marines had arrived, or the defense would have been much harder. All that remained were bodies of the fallen. And fuel. They went to work.

Onjage frowned, and turned around. It was indeed Brother Huez. Or at least, it was. His torso and legs had been fused back together, rippled with boils and seeping sores. His helmet secreated a green fluid, and it dribbled down his armor. It was shambling towards them.
This blasphemy could NOT be allowed to exist any longer.
More of the rotting fallen began to appear, from doorways, grates and loose tiles in the floor.
"I prefer burning bodies when they're dead." muttered Jern, re-activating his flamer.

It had been a long night, and the barrage of artillery from the previous day had finally settled. The last Earthshaker rounds had landed hours ago. Yano's squad was to rendezvous with a Salamander Scout vehicle to regroup with the main battlegroup that was amassing to counter the Chaos forces before they could attack.
Two Salamander rumbled into the hastily constructed watchtower the squad had erected a mere week ago. The squad boarded the vehicle, they would have to act as the Salamander crew, as the Imperials were hard pressed to man every vehicle and gun in preparation for the main assault. Using the advanced auspex and targeting arrays of the Salamander, he could see that the Heretics had formed a defensive line just 8 miles from their position where they had been first hit by the artillery. The salamander jolted violently as it reversed off the high ground and onto the level ground. They would join the battlegroup code named "Spearhead".
Task force "Spearhead" would be a largely armoured battlegroup, with tanks borrowed from the 85th Vendoland, however the main firepower for the force would be three mighty Baneblades taken from the Cadian 8th Superheavy tank company. Leading the force would be General Serik commanding the Baneblade "Gatekeeper". The rest of the forces would mostly be Leman Russ Battle tanks and armoured fist squads. It was a logistical nightmare to organize this attack, the Imperial guard were hard pressed to gather enough men to man the vehicles, if this attack was to fail, then the Imperial Guard would be pushed off Aurelia until the 85th Vendoland and the Blood Ravens could arrive to spearhead another orbital drop.
Yano observed the various crewmen and troopers in the attack. Most had been support crew and members of the reserve company that were held in base. Every man that could fight would be committed. The Blood Ravens had not responded in all attempts for aid against the enemy, yet there was no response. The situation was dire, reinforcements from Cadia's own 8th regiment could not be easily found as the ground campaign still raged over Cadia.
A patrolling Thunderbolt soared ahead. It was a common sight seeing aircraft scrambling for patrol and harassment missions. During the initial skirmishes, Yano could recall many dogfights between Chaos and Imperial fighters. He had seen a downed Chaos fighter, it was odd as the Hellblade was not marked in any way, except for a Hydra Dominatus symbol near the cockpit, where the pilot had escaped long ago.
It was highly suspected that the majority of the aircraft that arrived seemingly from nowhere belonged to the Alpha Legion. They must have been launched from orbit as it was impossible to establish an airfield without Marauder strikes from destroying them.
It was clear that the Alpha Legion had intentions on Aurelia, their constant attacks on both heretical and loyalist forces was incredibly confusing for the high command.
The Imperial cipher team of the Astra Telepathica worked tirelessly to decipher the dealings of the Alpha Legion commander who had tapped into the Vox channels, and they had finally discovered a lead.
Their leader "Kain" had made dealings with the Dark Mechanicus to retrieve various STCs in Aurelia's capital. In exchange, the Dark Mechanicus would provide the Alpha Legion commander with a full complement of Titans from the infamous Legio Vulcanum titan legion. The news was terrifying if true, the Imperial forces could not petition the aid of Titan legions from the Adeptus Mechanicus before the traitor Titans arrived.
All along the front line the Vox casters crackled into life, "All units, operation is go, I repeat, operation is go. Commence mission, out." The engines of hundreds of vehicles rumbled into life, it would take several hours before they could first engage. Yano manned the autocannon of the Salamander, the attack would have to push the traitors back, or the Capital, and ultimately the planet would be captured with the arrival of the Alpha Legion.

The 85th Armoured smashed into the flank of the ork army inflicting heavy casualties; driving a wedge right through them, although not without loss. The Leman Russes "Might of Vendoland" and "Lord's Own" were destroyed before the advance elements of the strike force could reach the Blood Raven lines. Fully half of the Artillery company had been destroyed by ork infiltrators with oddly advanced weaponry before any counter could be mustered.
While fire-teams of Guard and marines burnt the ork dead (fully 1/3 of the ork force had fallen back under the wrath of the Imperial guns) The commanders convened to discuss their next move.

Kain sat in his true base in the depths of a factory on Meridan , he eagerly awaited for a reply from his scouts and sipped a cup of rare wine and ordered his Sorcerer Sindrith to open the Vox-Channels again and send another messege to the Imperial command. He grabed a device and began speaking
"This is Captain Naik of the Blood Ravens , I declare the Imperium of Man as are grandest enemies and the Emperor of Man as a Corpse."
Kain smiled as the messege was sent to Imperial Command.
"That will cause some trouble for them Sindirth are my Infiltrators in place?"
"Yes my lord"
"Tell them to begin the killing of Sergents and officers key to the Blood Ravens command and realy information to us constantly and keep the Comms locked!"

The defense was on the verge of disaster. The ork shelling had made holes in the line. Several marines lay dead. And that was before the orks hit.
They drove for the weak parts in the defenses, before the marines could man the breach. The Land Raider Redeemer "flames from hell" drove to a breach purging the orks with holy flame and Terminator Squad Antonio strode out to meet the horde. Brother dreadnought Jano held another breach killing swathes of orks with his assault cannon and swating any ork that dared come near with his fist. Varn and his command squad held another defiantly holding the ork horde back.
The defense would of failed however if not for the timely arrival of the 85th vendoland armored they destroyed the ork artillery before driving a wedge into the horde forcing the orks to retreat and together they cut down the remaining orks. Apothecary Jutan checked the fallen marines attending to the wounded and gathering the gene-seed of the dead. Varn knew the orks would be back however and they must be prepared.

"Chapter Master Angelos, I have held onto the position you ordered me to against the orks. But we have sufferd casualties and I fear we will not be able to hold on. Therefore I request further reinforcements."
A reply came across the private vox channel.
"Wait, did you say I gave you the orders to hold that position?"
"Yes, my lord we were told that we should hold this position against ork freebooters, the order came through two days ago and they said it was from you."
"Those orders weren't from me, I will investigate this, but to be on the safe side."
A message came through on the Blood Raven Frequency.
"To all Blood Ravens, this is Chapter Master Gabriel Angelos. I fear our codes have been compromised therefore we are switching to reserve vox channels. Angelos out"
The private vox channel reopened.
"Oh,and about those reinforcements, I'm afraid I can't send them you'll just have to hold on"
The vox channel cut off. Varn sighed he'll just have to repair the defenses and hope for the best.
A marine entered the room. Varn turned to face him, he didn't recognize him.
"What do you want brother?"
The marine smiled and pointed his bolter at Varn.

The sound of bolter fire drew the command elements of the 85th to the Blood Ravens command chamber, sergeant Moody among them. Over the vox-bead they heard frantic chatter before General Draves addressed them all.
"I've been informed by my signal-man that over a private, encrypted channel Lord Angelos has given us new fall-back channels to use. It would seem that our normal band-widths have been decoded and are being used by the enemy. From now-on we use coded-level sigma. All switch and confirm."
A number of assents came back over the amended vox link. "Good." Draves continued. " Now lets find out what the Feth is going on!" with that he picked up the pace, drawing his power sword as he went. Moody, running just behind him, did not have his chainsword to hand so instead he primed his bolt pistol and flexed his augmetic arm. It was stronger than any sword wielded by him anyway...

The bolter roared. Varn rolled to the side, the bolt pulverized the vox. Varn was unarmed so he rushed towards the marine. The bolter roared again it hit Varn full on in the chest. His Armour saved him but he was knocked of his feet and winded.
The bolter was pointed at Varn's head. It clicked. It had jammed.
The marine tossed the bolter to the side and drew his combat knife he approached Varn.
"Death to the false emperor and you brother." he spat
Armored feet rang out as company champion Teyrion rushed in his power sword humming. He casually decapitated the marine.
"By the emperor what was that?" Varn asked.
"I don't know, but what is that?"
He pointed at the marines shoulder guard. Paint had chipped off revealing flecks of blue and green. Varn rubbed at it, more paint came off revealing the symbol of the hated Alpha Legion.

The attack commenced, the main push from the column reached the entrenched heretics, however, there was no resistance upon approach. The traitor astartes that had accompanied them had vanished, most likely preoccupied by other engagements, however, the remaining cultists abandoned their vehicles and were in a trance.
The trap was sprung, the cultists had opened a rift in the warp, allowing daemons to possess their very bodies. The lumbering form of a great unclean one lumbered out of the portal.
"Full reverse" ordered General Serik in his command tank. Yano could feel his Salamander jolt back, as it attempted to reverse, the column was in disarray.
Fortunately, the Chaos powers were as fickle as they were dangerous. As soon as the portal had opened, it had already closed and the daemons were already being pulled back into the warp. If the heretics had the experience of Daemonancy or Sorcery from Astartes the warp rift may have been stable enough to fully destroy the guard.
Unwilling to spring any more traps, the Imperials retreated back to base. The threat of attack had dissipated. It would be running skirmishes with heretical forces on Aurelia.
Yano received the order to scour the area for remaining traitor forces, the Salamander would be on the frontline engaging and observing enemy movements. For the first few days of this mission there would be little activity, the occaisonal cultists in light reconaissance vehicles which Yano's autocannon made short work of.

Two guardsmen had come in shortly after the alpha legionnaires death, a general and a sergeant. He had informed them of the situation. In return they informed him that similar occurrences had happens around the camp as his sergeants and command squad were attacked. Two sergeants were found dead while the rest had bested there opponents and as some were helped by fellow marines or guardsmen. He was also told that Captain Niak had denounced the emperor. Niak had gone missing shortly before the Tartauraus campaign presumed lost in the warp a new company was raised to fill the losses.
The alpha legionnaire had also claimed to be working for Niak. That probably meant that Niak had defected and joined the alpha legion. They must pay for this treachery, but that would have to wait the orks were attacking.

Kain watched from the Serpents Spite as the Space Marines tried to figure out his vile plans. He quietly hummed as he directed the orbital cannon into position and began the countdown as it targeted the Blood Raven command post and unleashed a beam of super heated energy against the Space Marines.
"Sir the beam has destroyed or damaged most of the bases defences and has killed several Space Marines, what are your orders?"
"Keep the ship in orbit and alow the Imperials to take the bait , and contact our armour on the ground. Prepare for a assault on the planet to spearhead an assault on the Blood Raven HQ."

The base was under attack. A laser had targeted the base. It hit the ork horde vaporising it. But the shock wave hit the base full on collapsing 2 bastions. The marines inside either got up as there Armour held but was severely battered or didn't as they were severely wounded or killed. Jutan got to work, administering the emperors mercy to those to badly wounded.
This was only the start of there problems however a strike like that would be followed by an attack. The blood Ravens and the guard manned the remaining defenses and there vehicles.

Martes stud in the ruins of a building looking out at the capital. He watched imperial guard retreating from a great unclean one but the fouls summoned it done it wrong and their summoning back fired.
"What fouls they needed a bigger sacrifice." said Martes
His attention was drawen by some alpha legion troops running past. In his hatered of the alpha legion he leaped out of the ruin on to the Aspiring Champion crushing his head and the culitits shaked in fear 2 of them tried attack Martes he slashed 1 with his Manreaper the cultits organs spilled out. The other one got shot in the head the remaining culitits were killed in a hail of fire.
"My lord the guardsman Yano has been spotted shall we attack?" Spoke a death guard.
"Yes but not to kill. Lets watch how he handles under attack from all sides." Ordered Martes
Martes ordered all his troops to attack to attack Yano's Salamander. All his warrior's were hidden in the ruin as Martes watched from a distance "Fire at it" Ordered Martes. He saw the rounds hit the vehicle. 20 minutes later had vehicle sped off into the distance.
"He is not in control he is a regular guardsmen." spoke Martes.

A hail of fire envelops the Death Guard as two Predator tanks burst through the walls of a ruined building , several Plague Marines are torn apart by the heavy bolter fire and continue to attack the Plague Marines. Mortor fire also hits the Death Guard as Chaos Cultists begin fiering Frag shells at the Plague Marines.

The death guard used all their blight grenades and pulled back into the thick ruins where some cultits had stole some imperial heavy lascannons as the death guard made it to the thick ruins one of the predators made it through the clouds of flies and disease. The driver did not see the heavy weapons and a giant beam hit the predator and it went up in a ball of flames.

The Predators left Heavy bolter is torn of but the vehicle is only imobilised , it's turret spins and crashes into the death guard before imploding. The Other Predator continues to bombardt the Death guard with its weapons. The Mortar fire also incresses as the Death Guard are pushed back.

The Predator tanks move towards the outpost and are repaired and are reloaded. Chaos Space Marines quickly leave the outpost for a teleporter array.

As the Death Guard left they planted a bomb to destroy the base. The cultits who placed the bomb ran to their fellow warrior they made it as the bomb detorated.
"We are one more step to destroying the Alpha Legion led by Kain." Spoke Martes a a cheer came from his warriors as they reached the ruins where they hid and the met up with their word bearer allys.
They fortified their position for any attack.

The Salamander ground to a halt. It had been hit by accurate autocannon fire, which managed to kill crewman Orek and concussed Yano. Luckily, the extra ablative armour had protected the driver and they managed to escape.
Yano inspected the Salamander, the rounds that hit the Salamander had managed to damage the track links of the tank which had finally buckled and broke under the stress of the high speed which they were travelling.
It appeared that the Salamander was "bleeding". The hits from the traitor autocannons had already caused the exposed metal to rust, and a dark red liquid oozed out of the seams of the vehicle.
"It's beyond repair, set up the melta-bombs, we'll sabotage it so the enemy can't loot it". Demolition charges and melta bombs set, Yano and his driver made it clear before detonating the Salamander. No doubt it would alert sentries of their positions, however they still had their cameleoline cloaks and special weapons on hand, they would have to trek back to the nearest outpost before they could get an evac.
Yano's vox network lit up, it was a new order from HQ, to rendezvous with the survivors of another scouting force, they had managed to retrieve valuable data that would require the tech adepts of Mars to decipher. All forces in the nearby sector would be required to protect the vehicle convoy containing the precious cargo and act as it's vanguard.
Looking at the auspex map reference, the rendezvous point was less than a mile from Yano's position. Only a forty five minute journey by foot.

The 85th armoured moved out into the mountains, what remained of the artillery companies were stationed to re-enforce the Blood Ravens stronghold. Moody, newly field-promoted has chosen to remain in charge of his squad. It had been his, or rather, Haars' idea, to turn the artillery company's weapons skyward as the traitor's drop ships began to descend, beginning to take a toll on the attackers as the crews got their eyes in. Fortunately most of the hydra tanks had escaped the battle against the orks and they were now being put to great effect turning alpha legion ships and fighters to blazing wrecks.
Even as Moody mused (OOC: hehe, alliteration) a large force was moving to the capitol's space port to take command of the laser defences in an attempt to wipe the heretics from the sky!
Moody's vox-bead burst to life in a haze of static and Haber's voice patched through, "Sir, the General has patched through a communicae with Captain Varn. He wishes to discuss how to tackle this new threat."
With a low growl Moody climbed back into the Chimera, pulling the hatch shut behind him.

Onjage swung his power axe, decapitating yet another of a seemingly endless swarm.
Cultist and Plague Marine fire all but ceased, having been killed or preferring the undead to do their work. What at first seemed like over-whelming odds, slowly but surely their ranks began to thin. The Undead, despite their incredible toughness and disease-riddled attacks, had lost whatever combat prowess they had once possessed. They marched stupidly, attacked stupidly, and died in droves. They were not entirely harmless, however. Being reborn under Nurgle had done nothing to deminish their strength, which still threatened even power-armored space marines. But after an hours fighting, it became clear that it was only a matter of time before the space marines succeeded. Whoever the mastermind was behind the ambush was not present at the battle, and his simple servants had no guidance but their own stupid intuition, and it cost them dearly. Nurgle's taint was nearly gone from this world.
Onjage was eager to return to the surface to aid his brothers against the orks. He did not trust Sall to keep his self-rightous mouth shut.

The Litany of Fury had found the enemy fleet. They were hanging in low orbit above Caldaris. They didn't spot the Litany and supporting imperial ships until it was to late as half it ships were already crippled. While there crew streamed out into the void.
Varn watched the fireworks from the ground the shelling had stopped as the enemy ships turned to face the Litany. Varn could see that it was too late for the ships it couldn't withstand the imperial fleet. Varn turned his mind on how to deal with the ground forces.

Sirens were sounding on the Fury, several sections had been forced to seal. The enemy fleet was decimated only a few ship remained, it would be over soon.
The Litany took a direct hit in the bridge, the crew streamed out space marines and serfs. The Sword of Vengeance avenged the bridge crew by delivering a killing blow to the ship that did it. Chain reactions tore it apart, then it became a bright new star as it exploded.

As the command Chimera rocked, rolling over the mountainous terrain, Moody nodded to General Draves. It had to be done. Draves turned back to the vox-link mouthpiece. "Magos Sensidere? You have ground forces permission, Magenta level, to fire the cylonic warhead."
The reply that came back was hard to hear over the background noise at both ends but the monotonous tone ratified him as the Magos, commander of the Adeptus Mechanicus vessel, engaged with the Alpha Legion fleet. "You realise that the radiation backwash will interfere with all transmissions on the planet and from surface-to-fleet leaving you stranded for a minimum of 24 hours. There are then, longer-term biological hazards that.."
"I don't want to hear it!" Draves snapped, "we can't lose the Blood Ravens or their fleet."
"Very good." was the curt reply before the link was severed.
"I don't like this Torias." said Draves turning to Moody, this could doom us all.
"If you hadn't sir," Moody replied, "with respect, we'd be dead within hours anyway!"
Night was falling and the vox-beads were filled with the astonished exclamations and profanities of the men as they watched the night light up above them.

The Serpents Spite began to back away from the Blood Raven forces as a Warp portal opened behind it allowing the massive crusier Hydra to pass through , the massive Size off the ship allowed it to take several hits from the incoming Blood Raven fleet without being heavily damaged. The Crusier soon turns its guns on the Litany of Fury and let lose a massive hail of fire that tore through the shields of the ship.

A blinding flash, that must have been the destruction of at least a dozen lower-class ships lit the night sky incandescently. On the ground a growing wash of white noise and static filled the vox-bead's of the imperial forces. At it's apex men tore their helmets off, screaming in pain as their eardrums bore the brunt of the noise. Those inside tanks were the safest, the radiation unable to penetrate the thick hulls.
In the final ork base, located high in the mountains, lumbering orks ran screaming in circles as they tried to rid themselves of the white noise. The warboss himself stumbled from his hut, blood running from his ears.
Hearing the screams from the hatch of the Chimera, Moody grimaced. He called down to Haber. "Do you remember your old training in the anciet semafore signals Haber?"
Haber called back, bemused. "Not really sir, I could remember it if I tried though."
Moody smiled "Better get remembering then!"

The Super Carrier and the several remaining craft return to a safe position but continue to bombard sections of the planet,while Kain teleports to the bridge of the Hyda.
"Next time don't be so late! I've lost seven attack craft and it will take a week to compesate for that! Our landing craft have established a foothold and will be moving out once we have glassed the planet. "
Kain pushed the Alpha Legion shipmaster from his chair and took his place before ordering his crew.
"Begin Glassing process on location 1799.0028 now , leave nothing alive. Deploy attack craft as well and destroy anything that moves and get the remaining forces on the vox."
A Techmarine began his work and activated a Hologram infront of Kain and bowed before him.

"Quite I have no time for bosting the plans have been altered. Pull back and regroup to the Landing sight and prepare for departure and make sure the enemy do not follow. And do not lose any more of our forces."

The rendezvous point was bustling with activity. The guardsmen who had arrived earlier had already set up a small outpost and gunnery pits to ward off scouts. Yano checked in with the Commissar in command.
"Reporting for duty sir!"
The Commissar looked up from his data pad, "Acknowledged Trooper, the convoy is ahead. You will be under Sergeant Kal's command. Dismissed."
The convoy had stopped to refuel at the makeshift outpost. Sentinels, Atlas and Centaurs had their engines idling as they had their tanks filled with promethium fuel. Yano inspected the cargo the Atlas was towing. It appeared to be two fragments of a STC, otherwise intact. Next to it were many data slabs, some cracked, however, it would be the tech priests duty to recover them.
Then entire cargo was huge. It took three vehicles to tow it, and even so they could only travel at a slow pace. The escort had bloated as troops from around the area had been ordered to their location.
Yano found himself allocated to the Sentinel squadron "Railsplitters" under command of Sergeant Kal. Climbing into the cockpit of the Armoured sentinel, Yano had only a few hours to learn and adjust to the sentinel control system. It was a non standard system from the Forgeworld of Ryza, Yano could recognize most of the controls from his training at boot camp, but some of the more advanced systems required to use the Plasma cannon were more confusing.
More sentinels and light vehicles were being dropped by Imperial Navy Sky Talons, and more men were being assigned their vehicles. Anything beats walking Yano thought. The sentinel had a large enough crew compartment to store his equipment from his previous mission.
A sharp whine came across the communication system. "All units prepare to move out on my signal." It was time to move out. The base at the foot of the Capital was a mere 41 miles away, judging by the speed of the Atlas vehicles, it would take 8 hours of travel.
The convoy had a full complement of fifty scout and armoured sentinels patrolling the nearby area. It would be near impossible to ambush the convoy without alerting one of the vanguard units, and will give enough time for Imperial Navy reinforcements to arrive to deal with any marauders. The unit was well rested and resupplied, however running battles in the Capital were starting to turn against the Imperium, whilst the Imperial Guard excel in stalemates and attrition warfare, the enemy had instead decided to attack in lightning strikes, teleporting in with vile Nurgle terminators and quickly teleporting back before the inevitable counterattack, making small gains where possible. Although it would be slow, this method would eventually whittle down the guard enough for them to dig in and stop any further attacks without Astartes support. The Blood Ravens had still not responded and HQ was beginning to get desperate. There had also been no word from the Inquisitor who had been watching this entire time. Were the Ordo Malleus and Ordo Hereticus going to act and send the revered Grey Knights and Sisterhood? Foul portents were brewing over Aurelia, the skies around Chaos held areas began to putrify and noxious green smog had surrounded the areas. It would not be long before the Aurelia Portal would be opened, and Daemons would be able to freely spew forth as the Cultists became more fanatic.

The traitors was retreating. The space marines chased them down the valley into the waiting Guardsmen at the other end. The enemy was gunned down between the two forces. Across the planet this was repeated. The enemy cruisers were still bombing the planet. But the bomb had messed with their senses and what they presumed where Imperial troops were actually their own and with no way for the ground forces to get the message to their ships, this friendly fire continued.
The Imperial Navy harassed the enemy transporters allowing few to escape their fighter escorts blown to pieces. The ground forces had to go without reinforcements or supplies.
The enemy was defeated and decimated but this was only the beginning.

The Cruiser began a second glassing as the Imperials seemed to gain the advantage annihilating hundreds of Space Marines and Imperial Guardsmen as they took the bait of the Cultists and hired Marines , the transports and ships may have been lost but The Hydra had destroyed many Blood Raven ships and had reduced a massive amount of Meridenins factory’s to ash and its defenders to glass under its orbital cannons while supported by The Serpents Spite and the 7 out of 14 ships the Alpha Legion once had.
Kain turned in his chair to his second in command Sindrith who had greatly assisted in the naval battle and had resulted in a Pyrrhic victory for the Alpha Legion and the opening of a Warp Portal.
“Sindrith report now.”
Sindrith stood up and bowed his head
“Our ground forces have taken 75% casualties and our fleet 25%, but with the arrival of the Super Carrier and have gained more forces. “

The termintors corpse feel to the floor.

The termantors armour began to leek and rust began to show. Their shoulder pads had 3 mouths instead of the Blood Ravens symbol, these mouths were the mark of nurgle.

The Hydra ends its glassing process and the fires out several Probe Bots to scour the surrounding area for survivors while deploying beacons while others deploy to the Death Guard camp. While their they begin to activate orbital strike beacons and disable shields.
It’s quite unfair that you can just turn other player’s troops against them.

The escort went smoothly, there were no unexpected attacks on the convoy and the entire column made it back with no losses. The techpriests would get to work on the recovered dataslabs and STC information immediately.
On arrival however, there were several Daemons attacking from the Capital, it appears that the Chaos forces had begun dark rituals from the fallen bodies inside the capital, and minor daemons were beginning to rampage through the sector before being dragged back into the warp.
The daemons engaged the escort as they arrived. Yano saw a large group of small crawling daemons, charging his plasma cannon, he saw them incinerated before discharging back into the warp.
The battle was going well. It was not until the arrival of a large winged bird like daemon that the tide began to turn, firing a bolt of pure energy, the daemon ripped apart several sentinels including Yano's own.
Falling onto the ground, Yano found himself unhurt, but in front of a group of tall, red muscular daemons, each with a large sword dripping with unholy blood. Strangely enough, the daemon ignored Yano, as if he did not exist and turned to attack the man behind him.
A Leman Russ rumbled behind him, it was a great boost to morale for the guardsmen seeing the armoured support. Firing it's mighty battlecannon, the Leman Russ vaporized several daemons, but the shell glanced off the winged daemon's back. It turned around and spew out a bolt of energy, the energy blasted Yano and hit the tank behind him, causing a few tracks to come off.
Yano was astonished, he was not hurt by the energy blast, the ground around him was seared and burnt, but the warp blast had no effect on him.
The battle ended as abruptly as it began, the daemons suddenly vanished into the warp as the summoning sorcerers ran out of sacrifices to keep the portal open, and the daemons were dragged back into the warp.

The Techmarine and his Sevitors departed and begun their duties while Kain gazed into the void of space remembering the Horus Heresy and the many battles he fought and the Daemons that gnawed on his flesh for days. The Gods were fickle and would not reward the foolish and Kain had learned this the hard way. He quickly became aware of the incoming message from his spy.
[The Blood Ravens are in position and my snipers have already completed a list of targets to remove shall we begin our reign of terror?]
Kain hesitated but stoped himself to say yes.
“No my snipers wait till I give theorder.”

The daemonic incursion was a concern for the Imperials, Yano found himself inducted into the the commander's command squad as the squad's Vox operator. Yano had one of the few voxes left on the base, a departmento munitorium supply drop was en route, but it would take some time before it arrived.
The psyker advisors shuddered when Yano accompanied the commander in the command bunker, they felt his presence "unnatural". The commander picked up the vox headset from Yano's backpack.
Activating the Vox, the commander began to issue orders to the guardsmen around the base, most of the defences were still intact. Yano looked at his equipment, he still wore the camo cloak he was assigned near the beginning of the campaign, the accatran pattern sniper rifle he held had also been unused, the mag-scope was dirty from constant usage however.
OOC: Templar, my character is a blank/null so he can't hear psychic/warp messages and warp entities can't see him.

Martes ordered his men out not being effected by the las fire. He ordered the Plaguebearers to enter, they entered and all was heared was the screams of the guardsmen.
Martes and his forces entered and the Plaguebearers where hanging what was left up on the walls. This would be the new HQ, Unknowing guardsmen would enter but never leave.

With the arrival of the Departmento Munitorium supply ship, the base finally was resupplied with a fresh detachment of guardsmen and supplies. There was a lack of officers on the planet due to the massive losses on the frontlines.
A shrine to the Emperor had lost all communication with the Imperials and all scouts sent have not reported back. It was likely lost for the time being.
Yano found himself promoted to the rank of Junior Officer under command of Commissar-General Taihon, who had commandeered the regiment. Yano chose his members of his command squad, and chose his equipment. Retaining his cameleoline cloak, Yano also requisitioned a power sword and bolt pistol. He handed his Sniper Rifle to the Ratling chief in order to outfit his command squad with fresh equipment.
The fresh influx of men still was not enough, large numbers of tanks; chimeras, Leman Russes and sentinels were still unmanned due to lack of crewmen. Yano was assigned his own command Chimera and his men were beginning to mount up. A squad of stormtroopers had been sent to scout out the area around the Imperial Shrine, with express orders to not engage, their intel will be valuable to the Imperial commanders.

The Storm Troopers reported back, there were Chaos Marines in the temple. Using their advanced optics and scanners, they could make out the form of a hulking Chaos Terminator, likely the leader of the warband.
"We've got them!" Yano said to his fellow officer. The mechanized force began to move out, Chimeras and Leman Russes mobilizing to the location.
It was a big boost to the Imperial forces, force the Chaos leader to retire or if possible, capture him then surely the rest of the Chaos forces would crumble.
It was expected that the forces of Chaos would have heavily fortified the area, and the majority of enemies would be Chaos marines, the two large forces would meet in a full scale engagement.

Martes was chanting to nurgle his men killing any they see who walk past their postions in the ruins.
"My lord i see imperial tanks moving in on your position and they are setting up artillary." Said a cultits on the com-link.
"It will be okay the ruins are to thick and there are to many shrines here the imperial will not destroy them they have relics of the emperor." Replied Martes and continued his chant...it was intorupted by some guardsmen burst in.
"Stop heretic!" Yelled a Guardsman
Martes stud up turned around and walked towards them, they opened fire but it had no effect, Martes swung his Manreaper decapiting the guardsmen.
He left the corpse and returned to his chant.

The Imperial attack force had arrived, however the heretics had descended into the lower levels of the shrine.
The Ecclesiarchy would call heresy if the shrine was bombarded, and the entire company would be under the scrutiny of the ordo hereticus.
"Damn!" Yano shouted. The company had too few men to scale an infantry assault against their opponents, veterans of several millenia of warfare. He and his men would have to dig in and wait for the Blood Ravens to arrive.
Using his Vox, he called HQ about their situation. The astropaths of the Imperial Guard sent their message to the Litany of Fury, the nearest Blood Ravens ship.

The predator was deployed and send to the nearest place to fire at the guardsmen. It got near the location and fired it autocannon and heavy bolters some guardsmen tryed to escape but got killed in the hail of unholy fire.
The predator took out 2 imperial tanks before needing to reload.

Two Chimeras exploded from side hits from a Chaos predator, it's Autocannons and Lascannons firing without mercy. A Leman Russ Vanquisher turned the tide by destroying the Predator in one hit.
More Word Bearers and Plague Marines arrived to engage in the battle.
As soon as it had started, Orbital cannons had begun to rain down. The Imperials withdrew, several Guardsmen and their vehicles were hit by the Orbital Bombardment.
Yano could see several Chaos Astartes in their Rhinos be instantly destroyed. After the initial attack, the smoke and smog from the orbital barrage obscured all other views, he could no longer make out the enemy.
Deciding not to stay around to be hit by Orbital Cannons any longer, Yano sounded the retreat. Only superfluous damage had been done to his company, Yano couldn't speak for the Chaos astartes, he could not see them after the initial salvos.
Such a reckless barrage, it could not have been the Adeptus Astartes of the Blood Ravens, nor the attacks from the Chaos Marines, even they had a sense of honour not to sacrifice their own troops.
If not, who was dabbling in the affairs of Aurelia?

Yano heard the vox boom in his headpiece.
Yano mused at this offering. It was clear the Blood Ravens were not coming, but to work with traitor Astartes? His men would commit to any order he would give, but the Ordo Hereticus would never forgive his actions.
"Sir, your orders?!" One of his crew shouted over the whirring engine.
Yano paused. He saw the Commissar eyeing him, hand on his pistol.
"I will not accept the offer of any traitor to the Emperor" Yano spoke through the comm link.
However, knowing that a common enemy was near, Yano knew that fighting two enemies on two fronts was a terrible idea. Deciding to withdraw and let both sides lick their wounds would be a better tactical decision, and would sit better with command. The waste of men is regrettable, but the waste of ammunition is unacceptable, especially for such little gain.
For the time being, the factions on Aurelia would be locked in a brutal free for all.

No word from the second party. The Blood Ravens sent to deal with the orks were lost. The comm-link to the commander of the strike force was white noise.
The Blood Ravens on Meridian would endure.
Mopping up the Nurgle encampment was an arduous and dangerous task, and no further casualties were taken. Of Saul and the others, there was niether sign or communication. They were presumed killed by orks.
They had missed much below the surface. Apparantly, their vox-network was once again used as a tool for the enemy. Under orders from the true Chapter Master, only secured links were to be operated. It was through this their next orders came. Despite all odds, Guardsmen on Aurelia still held out against the forces of Chaos divided. It is suspected that the Nurgle Ring Leader was there as well; killing him would likely stop further rebellion from festering. Their objective being to conscript any and all friendly forces to succeeding in this goal.
The force behind vox attack was operating in space, and was whose side it was on was anyones guess. Regardless, their mission was still the elimination of the Nurgle Champion.
The Thunderhawk would take them to him in hours.

Considering the threat on Calderis dealt and the fleet repaired. Varn responded to the Astropatic signal. He took the 3rd company and half the Guard tasked to help Varn (while the other half mopped up on Calderis) to Aurelia.
"Its that traitorous scum again" the bridge captain spoke aloud.
Varn looked out across the void an alpha legion fleet hung in low orbit glassing the planet below. Wounds were still visible across their sides 7 ships to the allied imperials 15. However a monstrance choas cruiser was with them causualtys would be suffered if they didn't take it out fast.
"All ships aim for the biggest of theirs it must be destroyed" Varn commanded.
They obeyed aiming for its wounds forcing them wider. Its Shields collapsed then its armour broke. Its wounds were forced wider. There fleet turned to face the imperials but it was too late. Catastrophic explosions spread along there ship. Then a bright flash that temporarily blinded Varn. When his vision returned the ship was gone along with at least 2 others that were close to the blast had also vanished. The remainder of the fleet was in disarray either fleeing or frozen still, blinded by the flash.
"Kill the ships to stupid to flee, and get us close enough for a drop pod assault." he told the bridge crew. They relayed his order across the rest of the fleet.
OOC: This seems like the final battle to me how did that happen so fast? I think someone isn't going to walk away from this.

The Hydra begun to fire it's massive weapons destroying Imperial ships with ease while the others covered the flanks and continued to fire on the Space Marine ships while keeping in order. The shields held on the Hydra while it continued to attack the Imperials with its mass fire power while the others used the Warp gate as a meens to escape losing only two frigets in the battle.

The data slabs that were recovered proved useful, the techpriests had managed to decipher a mere fraction of them, but the vital data was of utmost importance.
The information to reactivate the vast defence laser matrix and macro cannons that were stationed around Aurelia's capital to defend it. Now in Imperial hands, the enemy would be foolish to attempt to try a ground landing or bombardment from low orbit.
The gigantic macro cannons also would serve as a deterrence from any ground assault, their long range and enormous power being able to cripple even the largest of enemy formations.
Returning to base command, Yano had found that the senior officer in charge of the camp had been relocated to the new HQ at the Capital's base, which was now far more secure after reactivating the machine spirit's defence relay.
As the most senior officer present, Yano defaulted to the position of base commander, taking command of the former Imperial HQ and the garrison that was situated there.
Good news was also on the horizon, the Blood Ravens had responded to the distress call initially sent out and had arrived. They were currently engaged in the mystery enemy fleet, and the Chaos on Aurelia appeared to be settling for a defence rather than offense. The tide had turned on Aurelia.

The Death Guard forces knew that the Blood Ravens were in orbit. They set about finding anything they could use among the dead, they pulled heavy bolters from the Leman Russ tanks wreck took weapons from dead guardsman. The line of 100 cultits was ready for battle.

The orbital assault had begun the Guard in their landers supported by space marine Thunder hawks carrying their tanks. The remainder of the 3rd company took to their drop pods aiming to land directly on the enemy fortifications.
The decent was bad as always the G-force making Varn feel sick. The retro thrusters fired slowing down the pod throwing Varn side to side in his straps. Then it landed the doors opened and the straps released Varn.
He and his command squad rushed down the ramps firing as he went knocking many cultists of their feet. He drew his thunder hammer it crackled in his hand. He ran towards the cultists knocking them over killing them with the impact. He swung his hammer at the leader of the group the hammer boomed like thunder and he was now a sticky mess on the end of his hammer. The perimeter was secure in seconds the cultists unprepared for a lighting assault. Brother Augustus readied his melta preparing to breach.

Seeing the mighty strike of the Blood Ravens and the descent of the drop pods, Yano called the order.
"Forward, press our advantage!"
The rumble of engines was deafening, committing the entire reserve of the base, Yano ordered the guard to support the Blood Ravens. Although the majority of the guard had been diverted to the new regimental HQ, there was still enough to press a significant attack, the auto defences and turrets would have to defend the base.
Rumbling forward, a mass of chimera, hellhound and Leman Russes pressed on. Spearheading the attack was the Baneblade "Gatekeeper", a superheavy tank that had been on Aurelia since the first landings of the Imperial Guard. As befitting his rank, Yano had chosen the Baneblade as his command tank. He would issue his orders and survey the battle from the cupola of this mighty behemoth.
It would take some time for the guard to reach the Blood Ravens on the frontlines, it had been a back and forth battle on Aurelia, but victory was near. He could taste it.

Each death on that battlefield guardsmen,space marine and chaos alike. All Helped summon the warp creatures. The Warp ripped and a swarm of bloodletters rushed upon the batllefield slaying all in their way. The daemons kill some forces but were killed by the non stop fire from the imperial forces.
"All force retreat to all chapels lower levels and nurgle defences will help us." Orded Martes.
All the Plague Marines made it to their cover but the cultits were all but dead the bloodletters we a distraction. Martes was just summoning more Plaguebearors in his underground Temple.

Rubble crunched under the mighty treads of Yano's baneblade, the Blood Ravens were present, but the enemy was nowhere to be seen.
Riding in the cupola, Yano took out his rangefinder to look for the enemy. There were scattered gunshots and the odd muffled explosion, he could not see the enemy or the fighting anywhere.
Blood Raven drop pods littered the area, the fight must be underground. Unable to pursue them in the tanks, Yano gave the order to hull down. Fighting on foot would simply slow down the Blood Ravens, the guard would prevent any reinforcing Chaos forces to the temple, they would not escape from the surface at least.

A piratical scavenger force of orks had arrived in system, and began to descend on Calderis, forcing the 85th to remain planetside, instead of leaving with the Blood Ravens to deal with the Chaos fleet and matters elsewhere (OOC: couldn't remeber what planet templar and the rest are on, forgive me. I've got exams in a few weeks)
Using their slowly dwindling number of vehicles (a resupply was due in a month) the Guard staged attacks on the few chaos clumps that still remained after the attempted invasion and the orks arriving to loot the place, in heavier numbers with each passing day.
"We've killed these greenskins before and we'll do it again!" Growled Moody to his men (and the few other squads gathering to hear the grizzled sergeant), "no mount up and give them hell. Today we'll crush the kine beneath our treads!" The men gave a cheer and moody flicked away the Iho-stick he'd been smoking, smiling at the word he'd learned from fighting with the Crimson Fists almost twenty years ago. He jumped off the track guard and strode after his squad, behind him the Punisher's engine snarled to life. "Music to my ears!" Moody muttered to himself, the grin still splashed over his face.

The temple was too far gone. Chaos mutation had wracked it turning it into an unholy temple a dedication to the dark gods, it must be put to the torch. Anything considered too valuable to lose had been reclaimed.
Flame troopers moved forward preparing to turn the underground into a raging inferno nothing would escape.

The orks had attempted to land on Aurelia. The massive defense lasers cut through the landing ships and the kill kroozas in low orbit. What recklessness to attempt to land when the defenses were still active.
One Rok however, did manage to break the atmosphere and enter the planet. The macro cannons however, destroyed it in one hit and the Rok exploded in a massive spectacle.

The inferno started it took route in seconds, spreading through the tunnels. Unholy screaming filled the temple. The flames purging the chaos filth. It would take time but the flames would cleanse everything.

The Hydra slowly took positon over the planet Aurelia and begun deploying drones and becons onto the planets surface before firing a single large device onto the planet , the Hydra then arrived over Caladeris and deployed several drop pods full of Chaos Space Marines. Kains drop pod hit home with no difficulties as the Imperials were busy fighting the Orks and Death Guard while the Alpha Legion had spread its web of betrayel across the sector with ease.
Kain pushed pass his marines and took a step towards the crashed Imperial craft and aimed his bolter towards a Imperial Storm trooper decapitating it as the bolter shells tore through his neck , kicking the dead body aside he entered the crashed Imperial craft.
"Yes it is apon us, bear witness to the weapon of the gods."
A massive device lay in the cargo hold of the ship.
The Hydra soon teleported the group back to the ship along with the device.

AA guns each ship had arrowed
1000 bikers 1000 death choppers and 1000 war buggies.
The choppers unwittingly started a dust storm so the guard out posed didn't see them coming for dust storms are common on Calderis they did not know until the screams of the dead were filling the air (and waaaaarrrrrr but what I put sounds betta)but then it was too late
when the resupply when to the bases news spared quick and soon every man on Calderis was trebling with fear....fear of the ORKS!

Nah, I used them to blow up the Ork invasion, you're going to have to be more sneaky to take em out.
Planetary defence lasers can take entire battlefleets in low orbit which is orbital bombardment and teleportation range, it's why the Dark Angels didn't engage the Citadel of Vraks directly as one shot from the laser will instantly destroy even the largest battle barge.

Apon teleporting down he and his guards collected the device and rewarded the Cultists with Bolt shells while others with new weapons.

The Thunderhawk approached the front-lines on Aurelia. Blood Ravens were already on the ground, and Imperial Guard tanks and infantry dotted the Landscape. It was beautiful.
Onjage, in the cockpit, noticed Blood Ravens attempting to cleanse a defacated Shine to the Emperor with flamers. It was indeed too far gone to save.
"Hold Pilot. Contact those marines; tell them to back away. When they're safe, bring that structure down."
The Techmarine nodded, slowed the craft down to a hover, and picked up his communicator.
"Blood Ravens 3rd Company, and any Imperial Guard forces, withdraw from the Shrine immediately. The structure will be levelled with a precision strike from the Thunderhawk Aegis. I repeat..."

The ground opened up near a Leman Russ, destroying it instantly. Yano took cover inside the turret of the Baneblade, and used the vision ports to view the warp portal opening up.
A few Death Guard terminators and cultists emerged.
"Open up!" Yano ordered. The massive Baneblade cannon turned and fired a hire calibre round directly into the emerging Chaos forces, utterly destroying them.
The warp portal started to collapse as the forces of Chaos retreated back into the warp.
OOC: Might want to find a new planet to land on and some more allies Templar! Aurelia is ours!

The Blood Raven assault arrived just in time, the forces of Chaos that had been massing had finally been driven out. Although the leader Martes and his retinue escaped with a sizable army, Aurelia was finally secure.
Imperial landers dropped off techpriests and new guardsmen to garrison the planet, with more turrets and defenses added to the capital and surrounding areas. To attack Aurelia was to plunge into a massive war of attrition that would take years to break.
Yano and his men found themselves being transferred to Calderis. Although there were few men being transferred (mostly Veterans on Aurelia), the men on Aurelia had suffered a shortage of manpower but an excess of tanks. The regiments on Calderis however had the opposite, a large amount of crewmen but a shortage of tanks.
Inspecting his new quarters on his Command Baneblade, Yano had already started personalizing his command cupola, stenciling a small Aurelia campaign badge as a souvenir.
The landers arrived on Calderis, the vehicles that had crew rumbled forward, led by Yano's Baneblade, the rest of the vehicles would have to be dismantled and reassembled by the crew already on Calderis.

The Blood Ravens 3rd had moved to Meridian in an attempt to stop the orks manufacturing for weapons of mass destruction. While the guard had moved to Calderis to stop the orks there which had taken root soon after the blood ravens left. The ork menace would be stopped.

The Imperial armour mobilized quickly, engines brimming with promethium fuel and ammunition banks full, the guard tank company under command of Yano made it to the Ork frontlines. There was little resistance, only three thousand Ork vehicles total, but they were spread out, mostly bikes and koptas. There was no serious armour to challenge the might of the Imperial tanks, although wherever the Orks went, more were sure to follow.
Acting routinely according to the Tactica Imperialis, Yano took the fight to the Ork held manufacturing areas on Calderis. Destroy the Big Meks and the Orks would find it difficult to mobilize and spread, as there were not enough Orks to form the dreaded Green Tide.
The guns of the mighty Baneblade blazed, each gun firing constantly. There was no shortage of targets.
"All Stop!" Yano shouted. He surveyed the area, the huge exhaust clouds from the Ork Warbikers had caused visibility to drop in the area, "All vehicles crews, seal the hatches and use your respirators. Do not let the fumes damage your engines or you will be left behind!" he shouted down the vox over the din of the engines.
The Orks had retreated for now, the warbuggies barely reaching the tank line. The Orks had started recklessly firing their rockets from miles away when they first saw the Imperial Tanks, and when they were in range of damaging the Imperial armour, they were already out of ammunition.
Yano pressed on towards the first of the many Ork "Mek Shops" to raze it to the ground.

The remaining orks ran to there frigates one got shoot down the second one made in back to the fleet.
boss norg gave off a annoyed grunt and killed the ork next to him "landed all orks on the offer planet make it so no humi can landed and get more of them humi wagons from that angel place"

The orks fleet headed for Meridian when they got there norg could not see 5 yards for the smoke coming from the burring cities he smiled with please. 10 leman russ battle tanks and 5 leman russ demolisher a day rolled out of angel gates to burn the planet but a lot stay at the factory because it to important if it was to fall the orks would have a lot less hope of victory

All the Death Guard ran out of the warp killing all orks in a hail of fire.
As the Death Guard looked for new prey. As they walked their foot steps make the round rot.

The space marines descended on angel gate. The orks were manufacturing imperial weapons there. So the factories had to be taken intake to help the guard on the front.
The orks came at the marines in a green wave but were cut down by disciplined bolter fire. Angel gate was secure for now. The factories churning out machines for the front and the automated defenses came back to life. The 3rd company would hold the gate until the guard could take over then they would press on and rid the rest of the planet from orks.

The Orks had seemingly all left Calderis to Meridian. The Imperial commanders had decided that the Cadian 8th currently on Calderis would be reassigned to aid the Blood Ravens on Meridian.
Yano read the order on his comm screen and ordered his company back. There would be complaints among his men about this decision, nothing was worse than being deployed over and over again with little action.
They would board the orbital landers and make way for Meridian immediately. The regiment in the sector still had a shortage of manpower, so most of the tanks that had been sent to Calderis had been left on loan for the 85th Vendoland.
It was unknown to all Imperial Guard forces that the seeds of Chaos had reached Calderis.
The Lander blasted off as Yano watched from the view port, they would be on Meridian in no time.

"AAAHHHHH do I have to everything me self" Boss norg put on his rokkit pack, ready nash his pet squig, power up his klaw and ready his twin-lined shoota " IT TIME FOR STOMPING BOYZ CHOPPERS READY" Two leman russ battle tanks with a lot of spiky bits on them came next to norg "em boss what do ya want me to do with dis" it was a remote for remote detonators.Boss norg graped it and pulled the trigger a loud ban was heard in the back round "there that angel dealt with" But only 10 go off the rest were found and defused.The ones that did go off where all in the main factory taking it out until a replacement can come and that wont come for days. Kain turned his chair and faced his weaponry chamber and steped out his chair and entered the chamber and chose a large two headed power axe and twin linked bolter , as he left the chamber he retunred to the bridge and gathered a group of Chaos Space Marines and elite Cultists for an assault on a damaged Blood Raven ship.

They checked it and found 2 orks raiding the camp some the Death Guard killed them and claimed the camp.
Around the camp swamps of ooze appered and tenticles rose from the ground. This camp was hidden from all untill they got to close and die.

It is three years after the events of Dawn of War 2 Retribution. Azariah Kyras is dead and Gabriel Angelos is the new chapter master though he is badly damged after the fight with Kyras. Adrastia has halted the exterminatus of the remaining worlds in Sub-sector Aurelia, Meridan, Calderis and Aurelia itself. Though the Blood Ravens are themsleves free of the shackles of corruption there problems are far from over.
The Orks left on Claderis are regathering.
Eldar of the Uthwe craftworld re-appear and are raiding Meridan.
Reported Tyranid sightings on the Exterminated world of Typhon
And a old threat has appeared on Aurelia bent on the Blood Raven desturction for chaos undivied.
