*Grmwaldt: A weapon so tainted by chaos that even the most minor of cuts will turn its victems to dust.
*The Black Armour of Oreth: Power armour that has been extensivly reconstructed with strange carbon polymers, is so supernaturally tough that the wearer can walk through a battle cannon blast and be unbowed.

I'm currently trying to think of a new character but I'm tired of doing guard and SMs...so I'm trying to figure out what character to play as...

Yeah well you get the good with the bad:

"Good news you've been accepted into our cult! I've got good news and bad news."

"Whats the good news?"

"You get to be perfect in every way!"

"And the bad news?"

"You must develop a taste for women's clothing..."

Meanwhile at the Khorne camp its rather simple...Blood for the blood god...

And with Chaos undivided you just get the best of all four...

If I had my pick I'd be undivided...you get all of the cool stuff from all four gods and not necessarily any of the draw backs...

I'm thinking of night lords...not really partial to black legion or Word Bearers...

Eh...I'm not that into renegades...I mean nothing bad to your idea but I want to avoid doing more mercenary esque characters...I kinda found that it made Beltayn boring when he did not have a real motivation to fight other than to survive...

The more I think about it the more I think I want to try a character that is a Commissar...I've never tried one before...I think that's what I'll do unless reaper has a problem with it...

sorry about changing my mind so much...just trying to find something great and not mediocre...

Hi guys, here is some basic WIP background so it is not final.

Tell me captain...

What have you created?

The shaking Chaos Space Marine could not answer, his fear was at such a high level

Off all beings or inhabitants of reality, I guess you doubted that I would be asking you....

You see that now we are alone I must tell you, you have created nothing human.

Not a single thing.

Not one thing except for failure, constant failure.

Not very promising actions in deed are they not captain?

The Marine nodded to the flashing light, its green glow echoing through the dark room.

"But my lord....I was....buh"

While my next actions may seem a violation of your rights, you really don't have any and in this current situation and I need you dead.

The Chaos Marine begin to rise, and his flesh collapsing.

Goodbye captain.

The marine exploded in a gory explosion, his remains covering the room while the strange glinting light devoured the soul.

It was not pleasent but thank you for the sacrifice.

The light faded in the shadowy room, and across the world of Hecroin Chaos War-Bands prepared their raiding parties but something had changed. The hunt was no longer the greatest prise, something was buried here and they knew it, for the first time something had changed in the hunt.
A great prize of War and Power.

A Titan.

This is the Serpents Rise

I personally think we should just continue on a few weeks after the last RP. Or just re-do the very first RP again (which was great), particularly since I've fine tuned playing that character.

hey blood, I have looked back at my previous RPs and am honestly ashamed with myself, I was too focused on 'bangbangbang'

I would like to know if you would be accepting...

The only characters I have ever liked and felt had depths were Calvin, Demmie, and my new BM PC: Derrick Moss (My greatest achievement so far.)

hey WARORK, you remember ol' demmie?

say hi to him again...(minus the 1000+troops he had with him.)

Could I join?

Here is my character sheet for the RPG.

Name: Victorus "Vic" Elixan
Age: 27
Wargear: Imperial Issue Power Sabre (broken); Las-pistol; Knife; Improvised Demo Charges
Race: Human
Affiliation: Renegade
Rank: Imperial Guardsmen Deserter (Formerly Sergeant)
Powers and abilities: A particularly stealthy individual, who may have a low psychic potential.
Comrades: Hectorus "Hector" Atlan; Katerina "Kat" Iala; Theodore "Talon" Mathola
Background:

Victor was once a rather adept Imperial Guardsman who managed to survive for six years during a horrendous campaign against Heretic forces. During which time he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

However, during the last battle of this war (which ultimately secured Imperial victory), the squad which he led was completely wiped out. With the rest of the Imperial Forces focused on the immediate after effects of the battle, which were securing an Imperial Hive City, Victor was forgotten about and abandoned to die on the Throne Forsaken world he had fought so dearly to save.

Of course, this was not the end. Determined to rejoin his comrades, he searched the, now abandoned, battlefield for survivors. Astonishingly, he found a total of three other soldiers during this time, which had clearly been left for dead.

Eventually, the quartet found civilisation once more, where they elected to leave the planet they had almost given their lives to save. Secretly stowing themselves into a freighter ship which was scheduled to leave for an unknown destination, the four set off into the void, in an attempt to forget their miserable past...

Subject: Hecrion
Location: Nightmare Spiral, Eye of Terror
Life-Forms:

  • Rouge Adeptus Astatres

  • Traitor Adeptus Astatres

  • Heretics

  • Renegades

  • Daemons

  • Hell Bats

  • Enslavors

  • Kroot

  • Tyranid Splinter of Hive Fleet Hydra

  • Pirates

  • DELETED BY ORDER OF INQUISITOR GREYSTONE ][

  • DELETED BY ORDER OF INQUISITOR GREYSTONE ][

  • The Planet Hecrion is located in the Nightmare Spiral, it is a barren and icy world and is inhabited by foul Xenos, Daemons and traitors. Chaos Fortresses dot the world and the forces that inhabit them raid other Chaos-Warbands constantly, Pirates also inhabit the upper atmosphere of the planet; rarely making trips down to its surface. The planet is a low level strategic location, until now.
It's been 13 years and 13 Days since the death of Syrath, his forces left scattered and his armies feral. Few loyal servants remain, and the Inquisition wants it to stay that way. For over a hundred years the Inquisition has never mentioned the planet Hecrion at all, now they are deploying forces to destroy it and what ever inhabits it. Problem is that the location and energy produced by the planet stops the Inquisition from bombing it. Inqusitor Graystone has deployed two hundred and fifty élite Storm troopers along with support from any other forces he has to purge the world and destroy anything inhabiting it but the forces of Chaos will not go down peacefully and something terrible lurks within its depths......

Name: Helmian Gausse (Pronounced Hell-me-an Gow-ss)
    Faction: Inquisition
    Rank: Inquisitor Lord
Equipment: Artificer Armour, Blade Encarmine, Inferno Pistol, Cyber Familiar.
    Retinue:
All of his retinue bear his colors of black and cream:
    Inquisitorial Storm troopers:
    Jonathan Carks- Plasma gun
    Nathan Forjull- Melta gun
    Gery Bleath- Handheld multilaser
    Inquisitorial henchmen:
    Only his cyber familiar
Appearance: Helmian's artificer armour is covered with designs of angels and other celestial beings scrolled into the faces and plates of the armour. His left shoulder pad has the ensign of the Inquisition on it whereas the right has his own personal crest, a pair of angel's wings with an inferno pistol between them. His Blade Encarmine was given to him by a battle brother of the Blood angels who he fought along side for several centuries before the black rage took him and he handed his weapon down to Helmian. His inferno Pistol is a master work of the design, its structure and craftsman ship is close to perfect, having been constructed for him buy a member of the Salamanders chapter long ago. His Cyber familiar is that of a raven that perches on his shoulder at all times. The familiar he uses for messenger work when the need is required as it can often be relied on more than vox whilst in battle. Or in the eye of Terror for that matter. Behind his helmet he has black buzz cut hair and icy blue eyes, his thick rich voice carries easily through a loud room and can bring silence to the most heated of arguments. He often takes the chaplains role upon himself in battle, urging his warriors onwards.
History: Helmian Gausse has led a strong but silent career as an Inquisitor, as a liberal he has often dealt with Inquisitions that are below the public eye. Such as the dealings with Xenos in treaties and the such. He typically works alone as he has the means to raise armies as he moves through systems, his reputation as a true servant of the Emperor a valuable lynch pin to add to his charismatic career. His sources picked up the location of the Chaos titan on planet Hecrois and he was immediatly dispatched to see that whatever forces there were there destroyed it utterly. Such a device must not fall into the hands of anyone. He was hand picked by inquisitor Greystone to lead the inquisitions forces down on the planet. Greystone was notably more of a commander than a fighter and he never quite couldmotivate troops like Helmian could. The two had been posted in an inquisition near the ghost worlds fighting all manner of unspeakable evils side by side, now centuries later Helmian returns to the front lines side by side with Greystone once more.

    Its fine, I'm also adding the first early enemy character;

Lord Montigus, Champion of the World Eaters

    Age: 10,000 years old
Equipment and Weapons: Montigus was implanted in Dreadnought armour after a Plasma Cannon blast to the waist that completely destroyed his legs and most of his lower body, he was dragged away from the battle and implanted into a Dreadnought. The experience drove him mad and he now has only one wish, to kill for the Blood God constantly and never stop until he is a burning wreak. Montigus uses two massive Dreadnought Close-combat weapons that slice and tear through his foes.

    Thoughts?

Colonel Commissar is a very rare rank in the guard...the person holds both the job of commanding the regiment and ensuring its morality and faithfulness is in check...usually these two jobs are done by the commanding officer (a colonel) and a Commissar separately. They aren't technically supposed to be combined but sometimes are out of necessity and circumstance...

    Name: Edric Thade

    Age: 45

    Race: Human

    Affiliation: Imperial Guard

    Designation: Colonel Commissar

Appearance: Tall, 6'6, broad shoulders and strong upper body, scar from right temple down the jawline to the chin, stern in face and strong in jaw, amber eyes and cropped, straw blond hair.

Personality: Thade is a man of his profession, he has experience both in leading men and supporting them. Other commissars think that he is soft, bing merciful where others would be jackbooted. Despite this, Thade has been lauded for his tactical insight and his ability to inspire troops with his "From the front" style of leadership.

Bio: Thade was born on the world of Terrax where he was put into one of the world's many Schola Progeniums. He was placed into the Commissariat due to the abilities he was deemed to have and after many years of training, earned his scarlet sash and peaked cap. He was assigned to the Cadian 98th mechanized regiment and soon took his post, gaining experience in fighting the many chaos assaults on the fortress world. It was then that the greatest and most horrible of Abbadon's crusades struck, Thade and the 98th were in the thick of it and were involved in a rearguard action in the battle of Kasr Faegan which involved brutal fighting against waves of cultists, traitor guard, and lastly, a contingent of Chaos Space Marines. It was in this pitched battle that Thade proved his mettle as a commander. The regiment's command structure was in shambles and in the final crucial moments of the battle, the regiment's commanding officer was struck down with a mortal wound, his last words were to pass his duty to Thade who took up the regimental colors in one hand and his black chainsword in the other and led his men in a counter attack that pushed the chaos forces from the Kasr. Thade went on to lead his regiment for weeks more, by the time it was rotated to reserve, Thade was approved as the troops' commanding officer and led them against Chaos forces for years. Eventually, the 98th was deactivated and Thade was transferred to a desk job at brigade headquarters which he lamented. Later, an Inquisitor named Greystone offered him a position on his retinue, citing his past as an experienced commander and authoritarian as qualifying him for such service. He took the position, knowing that it would be more eventful than any job he could have at his desk.

Equipment: Black greatcoat and peaked cap, combat pants and black polished boots. Master crafted carapace armor, camo cape, Chainsword, power fist, and bolt pistol.

    You don't have to unless the weapon takes up to much space, and armour and other equipment available. Here is an example;

Kain and his War-band of Chaos marines defeat mini-boss Blood Reaper, they gain 2 enchanted Boltguns and a Greater Hellblade. Kain swaps his Chainsword for the Hellblade while the Marines swap their bolters.

yeah... just kinda annoying you know... Something really doesnt like me on this site.

First my Tyranic character in the Uriah RP loses his horse, then Ludias in the last RP from reaper loses his ship, then Lucian gets corrupted, now ludias in this one loses the hand that gives him most of his viability in this RP...

Personal log of Inquisitor Helmian Gausse 41.381.7.21
Abord the Amoneo Obscurum subsector 11.9.Alpha
I was contacted today by Inquisitor Greystone, his message was short but valuable. The chaos forces on the planet where he is presently at have produced a titan of indefined power. Understandably with the defeat of the Arch Daemon Syrath not three months previously we are anxious to see any form of the chaos gods will crushed. We dont need anouther servant of the chaos gods wreaking quite the havok that that particular daemon did. I will depart at 0700 for the planet where upon I fully expect to be briefed on the situation. Greystone's message was far too brief for me to get a proper understanding of the situation. The Amoneo Obscurum will be able to make the journey in 5 days.

Personal log of Inquisitor Helmian Gausse 41.381.7.26
Abord the Amoneo Obscurum approaching the galactic eastern rim of the eye of Terror
I met with Inquisitor Greystone today, he made it quite clear to me the situation. And frankly it is not a position to be envied where I am. The chaos forces on the planet have recently become more and more active, and indeed the pirates surrounding said planet havee had to push out from the planet furthur for fear of unprovoked attacks of madness. The Amoneo obsurum has already destroyed several pirate vessals that have strayed within the range of her guns. Emperor willing they will learn to stay away from us.

I am to lead a forward group down to the planet to begin a primary assessment of the planet's inhabitants threat level to the inquisition. I am to be accompanied by three inquisitorial storm trooper's who have shown distinction in the inquisition. They are equipped with the equipment required to make this mission a success and I fervently hope that their backbone is as strong as it has been professed.

The forces of the Inquisition are still slow to approach the planet, Inquisitor Greystone has been having difficulty getting through to the high lords of Terra exactly how dangerous this planet could be, he sent for me as reinforcements both on the planet and on a political level. As for reasons mentioned previously in my logs I have attained the position of Inquisitor Lord. Perhaps Inquisitor greystone needs the extra clout. Perhaps not, regardless my duty is to the Emperor and the Imperium.

May the Emperor's light guide my path and the foul scum of Xenos and Chaos be purged before me.

    --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

    41.381.8.15
The planet below the Amoneo obsurum is shouded in the foul shadows of priate vessels. And so Inquisitor Lord Helmian Gausse is having trouble seeing the planet itself through his flagship's viewports. He glances down at the missive held in his gauntleted hand and lets out a mighty rumbling sigh. The high lords of Terra finally approved the mission. The last few days had been... stressful to say the least. The high lords had been fighting the mission every step of the way, trying to avoid engaging the warriors of chaos on thier own turf. The fools thought misguidedly that if they forced chaos to come to them then they could fend them off. Helmian shook his head, the only result that, that path could bring was the eventual destruction of the Cadian gate. Helmian had recently heard intellegence that the forces of chaos below were working on ways to teleport thier new toy great distances across the galaxy by useing warp sorcery. Who knew what terror could abound if the titan could be dropepd into the middle of a hive city, destroy it and then flee before reinforcements could be dispatched.

No the battle had to be taken to chaos, the time for defenses was over. Helmian fingered the handle of the mighty sword on the table before him. Soon it would taste chaos flesh once more. He turned from the view port his Cyber familiar Ymir swaying on his shoulder. The sword now held in his grip as he tread softly down the corridor to his command center. Unpon reaching it he heard a set of three pairs of footsteps marching down the corridor, his new retinue, the Fist of Gausse, as they had been honorarily named. As he turned they snapped to attention.
    "Ready for orders sah!!"
Helmian looked at the troopers with no small amount of pride, these three men were the best of the best in the Inquisitorial circles. He was admittedly honored to have them serving under him. And a little saddened as he was unsure if the three of them would even make it out alive from this planet. He saluted formally back before setting them to ease. And gesturing towards the command center his slow rumbling voice filled the air.
"I trust you are aware of the plan for the attack? I recently was sent a missive detailing the high lords final statement of support and the blessing of the Ecclesiarchy for our mission"
The three men looked relieved. They had been waiting for the order to move out for just under fifteen days and patience among them had been beginning to wear thin.
"We live to serve sah, our mission detail has already been seen to and understood sah!"
    Helmian nodded his head slowly
"Good then we move out at 1200 hours, understood?"
The three men snapped to attention once more before bellowing
    "SAH YES SAH!!!"

    A wild NPC appears!

    Name: Corporal Lokran Pask

    Designation: Kasrkin

Appearance: Tall, almost as tall as Thade himself, cropped black hair, fair skin, deep violet eyes, no real scarring, broad in the chest and shoulders, muscled build.

    Age: 30

Equipment: Carapace armor (Black with scarlet and gold trim to reflect his position in the Commissariat), Hellgun with grenade launcher attachment, power bayonet, frag grenades and melta bombs, blessed silver aquila necklace

History: The Corporal was part of an armored fist squad that accompanied Thade on many of his first missions with the regiment. The two built a stable working relationship after Thade's ascension to the regimental commander and in an especially fierce battle defending a temple devoted to the Emperor where the rest of his squad was killed, the Colonel Commissar took the Corporal on as his personal aide working in the Commissariat. After the regiment was folded into another and Thade was transferred to brigade HQ, Pask remained by his Commissar's side, ever loyal to him and the Emperor whom they both served.

Abilities: due to genetic experimenting undergone by Pask with clearance from his Kasrkin status and the Commissariat, Pask has hit performance levels even surpassing those of his kasrkin peers. Though his general physical abilities and training have not been compared to that of an astartes, it is speculated that his abilities approach that of the famed god warriors of the Imperium.

Marta, we could do with some kind of an extraction from the ship, as I don't trust Greystone any more...

You and me both...when the crap hits the fan he's going on the top of my "execute for collaboration with xenos and heretics" list.

I believe he is on Vic's "List of Traitors" as well now. So... will it be Power Sabre jab then beheading with a chainsword, or the other way around?

We have a Lord Inquisitor, a Commissar and an Inquisitorial Stormtrooper Captain, with a heavily armed squad backing us up... so, if Greystone goes bad, he'll be dead before he can say "Heretic"

You now both have an opening to accept Helmian's order, I would suggest you do so. Me being your superior is probably the most reliable superior your going to get in these RP's, except for shas and warork of course. Reaper's superiors tend to be a bit... twisty

    I see...

I'll get right on it then. Gausse will probably prove to be more reliable. Just don't go sendin' us on suicide missions.

Dont worry, if there is a suicide mission I'll be right there with you. I lead from the front.

It's never a true suicide mission without Marta involved.
