Update: 14/Feb/2013

Phew! Brought in all the links from original thread, you four were in there.

Should I remove the blogs that died off before they really got anywhere? There were a couple with only one or two updates, basically just basecoating. I'll be going through the list again anyway for enjoyment so it'll be easy to root them out. Also, if you find any mistakes please point them out. The same goes for blogs that haven't been added yet. If I've missed some or there are more out there then please post them for me to add.

Maybe just stick a sleeping ork face in front of any that haven't updated in a month or two?
Some blogs die off or slow down because they don't get any response from the community, removing them entirely would just exacerbate that. Just my opinion, as someone that hasn't updated in a week and a half...

Yeh I jump between my blogs so they aren't alway active. I considered putting active and inactive tags in there. It would be great and I love to help the community out by updating these threads but the idea of having to go through all of the blogs for every update makes me want to weep.

I've got about a dozen other things on my plate as it is, and my blog is suffering for it. I've got a club 40k tourney to arrange (24 players), including terrain sourcing, mission planning, etc - and I have to do this in between games of infinity, FoW and WHFB.

I've added a handful of stuff to my infinity forces, but still haven't painted them - so they don't get used and they don't get photos until they get paint on them.

Hehe. Yeah. I'm currently a student so I can only paint when I've got no obligations or assignments to take care of. It's slow-going.

But I'm also not going to buy any more infinity minis until I've painted the ones I have, so I guess that's one obligation to get going!

Good question. I considered both ways and I see both benefits.
1. If it was just Dakka then the community benefits greatly and we encourage growth.
2. If it included external blogs then there is more inspiration in the pool.

I even considered a couple of compromises.
1. Asking external authors to post a Showcase with a link to their external blog. I could link the Showcase and they still get traffic.
2. Linking external blogs but encouraging the authors to contribute to Dakka.

All considered, compromise 2. seems like the best option to me. If anyone disagrees I'm happy to reconsider.
So yes. I will happily link an external Painting & Modelling Blog but please take the time to post some of your work on Dakka too.

Casey - yes your 2nd option there sounds great to me!

Kestril, regarding your comments on your blog about the fighters taking each other on in amongst a civilised world, please keep an eye out in the Dakka section, I'm going to be trying to write a supplement for Infinity soon (with the help of Dakka) about using Civilians, Security/Police forces and other 3rd parties in the game - with a view of creating something so the game feels more like it is taking place within a living and breathing world, rather than just two armies killing each other. So like you I think its one of the coolest sounding bits of the background and could do with some expanding upon.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/02/16 16:35:56

Post by: kestril

OOOOH! Do indeed! That sounds very exciting. You can count on my support!

Be sure to drop a link here when you start the thread up. I'd love to read what you have in mind.

As far as just two armies killing eachother, I've always justified it as the skirmishes where taking place in abandoned warehouses, during the off-hours of a trading dock, on practically empty cargo ships, rooftops or civilian areas which have undergone evacuation. But nevertheless, it would be very refreshing to have some rules for a civilian encounter.

I'll check out your blog now, kes!

And that sounds great Pacific, I'll be really interested to play about with it. There are lots of good reasons for combat to go down in empty places but it doesn't stop me craving the idea of two forces going wild in a shopping mall full of people.

I was going to have a nice update for my log this weekend. I was going to finish my Hawwa sniper, start on my Muyib with rifle, and buy a Maghariba Guard.

Then the weather turned crap. Raining and humid on Saturday and hot and so humid I felt perpetually wet on Sunday meant I just didn't feel like painting. Then my car decided one of its bearings just didn't need to work anymore, so my Maghariba Guard money went to fixing my car.

I hate weekends like that.

Actually, I wouldn't mind having a thread in here for people to just drop pics in. Even this thread. Hunting through logs in the painting section gets tiresom, and also time consuming. When I have 5 minutes free at work, having one thread to drop in and look at some stuff would be nice.

Though I'm not sure if it's against Dakkas rules.

Not sure what rule it would be breaking... When updating in multiple threads I find it useful to put all of my progress for the update in my own P&M blog, and just the "highlights" in a combined thread - but if all you have are highlights, I can't see how that would be a problem to just post here. I'll see it either way

The Nomad arms dealer "BlueDagger" is a notorious figure in politics. His base of operations is located on a Pan'Oceania world where he uses diplomatic immunity as a shield against official Pan'O retaliation, under the guise of a legit Nomad trading outpost. Rumor has it that the facility ships all sorts of contriband and illegal goods for sale throughout the world's black markets, but of course all O-12 searches have come up with no evidence. Rumor also has it that "BlueDagger" choice of uniform color for those "security forces" working for him is to conceal any illegal activity to blame on the local Pan'Oceacian forces. Nomad PR representative have repeatedly denied any wrong doings of the outpost.

Those are looking great BlueDagger.

I am currently in the "painting them up while trying new techniques" stage. And so mine aren't nearly as nice.
I fet like experimenting with "reverse highlighting" As in starting with the lightest color and working my way darker as I went along. The Orcs really show the difference with it.

At this point I can confidently say that each model is around 2/3rds done. Not including the baseing for each one. Still some heavy lines and ugly faces to fix. Not to mention the small details here and there.

I think we all said that to ourselves at one point. Over time the more and more you paint the more tricks you learn. Keep practicing and if you have high class painters in your area meet up with them someplace and pick their brain for tips.

The best advice I can give is paint every day. Doesn't matter what - just do a layer on a colour, or bang out a whole model, paint something every day. It helps keep your brush control up to scratch. When I look at my Tyranids, the models I did at the start and the models I did before I started moving to Infinity, I can see a very clear improvement.

Sadly I've stopped doing this lately, so my stuff is worse than usual. My Hawwa sniper is nearly finished and I almost don't want to put photos up of it.

Really random question, that is kind of relevant because its to do with a piece of terrain I'm building - anyone know what the Spanish word/equivalent is for something like 'captain' or 'commander'? Specifically, for someone like the kind of rank you would get in the US Airforce or Navy of someone who flies fighter jets? Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Capitan is captain. Think "la bamba" from Los Lobos. Cheezy, but effective mnemonic.

Have you tried *gasp* Google Translate?

Heading over to your thread now Kes!

Have you tried checking Wikipedia for the rank track? I used it a lot for designing my Heralds. I definitely saw a comparison of modern Western rank tracks in it somewhere.

Haha yes that was my first thought. But, I didn't want to try what I was thinking of, then get a bunch of Spanish people commenting saying, "yes nice idea, but that's the wrong word for that" *

* On second thoughts, that is extremely unlikely to happen, and doesn't really matter even if it does!

I'll go now..

According to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Army it is Capitán for the army at least.

I have updated my painting log with w.i.p pictures of a Mech Engineer.

I feel terrible. My Al Hawwa has been waiting for me to finish her rifle for about a month now, and I've been busy painting Tyranids and Space Marines.

Hopefully I get some time this weekend to finish her rifle, get them all dullcoted and get their bases finished. Then just 4 models left for the whole 200pts.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/05/08 17:24:40

Post by: Casey's Law

You should try making a pledge if you need some extra motivation.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/05/09 01:01:12

Post by: -Loki-

That doesn't work for me. If I force myself to paint, I simply end up not painting. I need to be motivated to paint, which comes and goes. All of a sudden on the weekend I got the motivation to paint a Salamander for old times sake, and ended up planning a 1500pt army, while getting close to finishing up my Carnifex.

I'll get around to painting Infinity again, it's just not what my mind is on.

I dare say Infinity will be back in my mind soon though - I'm going through the motions of buying a house, so spending money is SEVERELY limited. So Infinity will probably be at the forefront of my gaming for a while.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/05/09 01:10:58

Post by: Casey's Law

Yeh it's best to do what you feel drawn to. Problem is I'm also a procrastinator so the pledge thread is good to give me a little push to pick up a brush rather than staring at the miniatures.

I look forward to seeing what you'll be tackling next when Infinity comes back to your desk. In fact, I'm quite interested what's on it now. I'll have to check and see if I missed an update somehow...

Community Showcasing @ 2013/05/09 01:52:18

Post by: -Loki-

To be fair, pledge threads got me through my Hassassin spitfire and nearly to the end of my Hawwa.

I've already started basecoating the next model, my Muyib with Rifle. I've just had a few distractions.

The good thing with Infinity is while I might get distracted, it don't have a bunch of models to paint then I go back to it. When I get distracted from my Tyranids, I've got 30 odd models left to complete my 1500pt army still.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/05/09 07:26:14

Post by: Pacific

I find that sometimes actually with the Infinity stuff.. the models are so detailed, and sometimes I'm up for having a go at painting one, other times I don't have the energy. So, in that case at the moment I'll paint some Dreadball stuff, or some terrain, that I can just sit back with and splash on some paint.

Like playing the game itself, I think painting the miniatures for infinity is a very intense experience. At the risk of sounding like a prat, I would liken it to eating a gourmet meal where you have to enjoy and savour every bite, but it takes some effort on your part to get the most out of it. But, sometimes you just want to put your feet up, watch crap TV and empty a packet of unhealthy snacks into your mouth

Community Showcasing @ 2013/05/09 10:42:48

Post by: Casey's Law

Those are good points. I particularly enjoy the analogy of a gourmet meal, it's very apt and I often experience that lack of motivation to take on something so intense.

I think I'm nearing a blog update now, a couple of miniatures almost finished with the conversion stage. Anyone else planning an update?

Community Showcasing @ 2013/05/10 03:59:53

Post by: -Loki-

All this Infinity talk has given me the Infinity itch again. Thanks guys!

I'll probably finish up my Hawwa this weekend, get cracking on my Muyib, and dullcote and base everything already painted.

It's for the best. I can't get my Salamanders table ready without spending a few hundred dollars on them, which is money I simply do not have to spend for at least 6 months. So going back to my Bugs and Haqqislam is probably for the best.

I've got my QK started now, with the alguaciles (3) and mobile brigada, as well as some Hafzas, a Djan or two and some Kaplans.
Still have to get some Ghulams and a small tag to use as the iguana.
I've got to get some shots up now that the eye is getting better.

Had my first snag in a while - missing parts. The Kaplan spitfire didn't come with any arms or weapons. I could have emailed CB and got the parts in a couple of weeks - but I had a game that I wanted to use him in - so necessity being the mother of invention, I improvised.
I picked up the husam spec-ops (he's becoming another Hafza anyway) and used HIS spitfire and a pair of arms I had from my bits box to fix mister KTS spitfire, though. Works enough to pass muster.

Shame about the missing parts and not having time to wait on replacements. I'm sure you made it work though. Looking forward to seeing all those plans come to fruitition and I'm glad your eye is getting better!

Interestingly, to me anyway, it looks like I'll be adding a small update to my Infinimunda blog soon as well as my Bakunin blog.

Enjoying that conversation about motivation. I understand what you are saying about the intensity of painting infinity. I struggle a bit with motivation (definitely spend a lot of time staring) but I the motivation you need for painting one type miniatures is totally different from the motivation needed for another type. Painting infinity, the models are great and a joy to paint, but you're right, it can be a bit intense, possibly due to the concentration involved. Getting motivated to paint my space marines is different, I'm intimidated by the numbers of similar (sometimes boring) models to work through.

The intensity thing is right though. Same as video games. Dark souls is the best game I've played in years and years and years, but sometimes I just can't face it. Just stick on ace combat or something.

@alanmckenzie - That's an interesting point, i think a lot of entertainment splits into those two categories, even non interactive stuff like reading or watching TV. Sometimes I want to put on some sitcoms and chill out, it takes a little more focus to watch a documentary for example but in the end I often find that experience more rewarding. More often I find myself going with the less interesting option which probably has something to do with the human want for instant gratification. Interesting subject...

@bantha_beast - I'll head over and check out your updates right now!

Put up an update for my Infinimunda blog for a change!

Your stuff is absolutely stunning heartserenade, have really enjoyed looking at your blog. Love it when people look at the miniature more like an art piece, and less like a BLAM-finished now let's play with it-style (I often do far too much of the latter!)

I'm really glad that Dakka supports these kinds of contests. I've always wanted to compete in miniature painting contests but there aren't any in my side of the world. Guess wargaming's not that big here. Hell, we don't even have Golden Daemons or GW shops to complain about.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't be covered under:
 yakface wrote:

Perhaps we should petition yakface to add "Organiser/Judging participants" to that list, just to be clear...

Haha, yeh the problem is that the Admin and Mods can enter but then lose their place on the judging panel like I would. Because otherwise we would be judging our own work.

I guess I could do the same, just enter and not judge, but I'm quite looking forward to judging and I have sole decision on the Shae-Konnit sponsored prize which I'm looking forward to.

I promise I'll enter something else soon! Let's see what comradepanda's next competition round is, or maybe the LoER will have something that inspires me.

And if anyone has missed Crazy Ivan's blog so far I recommend you run over and check it out! Doubly so if you are entering the competition as he has been posting up an amazing tutorial which is blowing my mind!

Thanks Ivan...you are such a skilled painter...it makes me real jealous. Hope to see more stuff to learn about it. Have you ever tried black/white primer? I like it a lot to prime in black and giving just some white primer over it. All that´s in the shades will get darker while the other parts are in a bright grey...

Hi and thanks I use that techniques on my dystopian wars fleet so that I don have to paint all the the hard to reach areas: It can be a really useful tool for marking where the light is coming from so if you want to do zenithal lighting you can spray directly from above the mini and the white paint will fall where the light would hit the mini. There is one downside to this technique and that the surface will be a bit grainy and can show through the paint so the paint job will not look as clean as it would with just a white primer.

Nice one medusa! I'm really psyched to do some painting with the atmosphere of the competition in the air but I've got other stuff I need to do sadly. I'll enjoy it vicariously through you guys for now.

Enjoy painting them, kes! Remember to take your time and thin your paints right down to the consistency of milk. Speed doesn't matter, spend as much time as you need on them, days, weeks, months, whatever gives you the results you want.

Can't repeat this enough.. ! Patience and a steady hand (with the latter often coming from the former) are the lynch-pins of painting. Especially with Infinity.. there are no 'fillers' that are particularly easy to paint I've found..

Steady hand always ruins my stuff. I've got a steady hand right until I need to paint detail.

Well, after my thread a week back tossing between starting Nomads or Ariadna, I've finally got some models and thought may as well make a blog to go in the community showcasing as well. I'll leave which one I went with for the thread, but thanks to all those who helped out. In the end though, the determining factor was the paint scheme.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/537349.page#5803154

I presume I'm meant to put a link in here?

Of the 10 guys I got, I'm intending to get them all done in the next 2 weeks. Not sure if I want to pledge that, we'll see how the first one goes. I'm pretty slow at the whole painting side of things. And with the whole steady hand thing, I tend to find myself not breathing half the time. It's weird to get breathless from painting...

@rah - Could you use the format from the OP please mate? It makes my life a little easier and stops me making mistakes. I'll go check out your blog now, you should definitely make a pledge, the worst thing that happens is you don't make it in time and you don't get a +1 nin the Pledging OP. Nothing to lose everything to gain, it's a great way to motivate yourself.

Update on my blog.
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/439688.page

Progress on it will be slow to a crawl as I am awaiting several minis but have not given the distributor a "rush" priority.

I'll see about putting pics of the rest of it up, while I wait, though.

I finished my Hawwa sniper last night. As usual, I'm fairly happy with the end result but completely pissed off at my inability to do these models justice. I'll get some photos up when I get home.

Muyib with rifle already started. My friend and I look like we're having another game of Infinity this weekend, and I want to have a fully painted army on the table.

For me, the main problem is eyesight. I have a astigmatism in my left eye, and while I have corrective lenses, I can't focus on tiny details. So my stuff ends up looking okay right up until I take photos in macro mode, which shows up all the little gak I can't even actually see. For my Tyranids, this is fine - they're just red layered over devlan mud, and grey and turqoise feathered on the edges of black plates.

Infinity models though, they're a problem. Any photo of them makes them look worse than I can actually see on the model itself.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/07/09 01:24:03

Post by: chromedog

+1.

Likewise. Astigmatic right eye as well as being myopic in that eye.
Corrective lenses can fix the myopia - but not the astigmatism.

Hence why I paint my models the way I do.

I usually see them from around arm's reach on the tabletop. I paint them so that they can be seen from that distance and are distinguishable from each other.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/07/10 23:33:03

Post by: Pacific

Nice Kestril, strong yellow although I think you probably need to thin the paint a bit.

I would say though that yellows these days are at least 1000 times better than they used to be.. seriously, at one time saying 'I'm painting Imperial fist marines" was the mark of the true sadist, equivalent of saying "I'm going to suspend myself from nipple chains above a pit full of wild animals that haven't been fed for some time"

That's pretty much how I felt when the 4th coat came around and it wasn't getting any brighter.

Actually, the "gritty-ness" there is due to the faulty basecoat. It was baking hot outside when I primed them and the heat made it very difficult to get a smooth coat. It looks fine at arms-length.

The worst part is that I have two more to go.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/07/11 01:15:39

Post by: -Loki-

Red is the same. I had no idea when I decided to tackle Behemoth for my Tyranids. Having to do 5-6 coats of red to get an even coat... bleh. Yellow, I'd imagine, is far worse.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/07/11 08:16:55

Post by: medusa

There are some tricks doing nice red and yellow without going mad. You should start with a light brown, then perhaps two layers of yellow/red and the job should be done. I personaly don´t like full yellow, so I always mix some other color into the yellow (soft brown or khaki...) and brown into the red to get them less shiny.
You can see it here...

As I said not shiny but...I dunno in German it´s "gedeckte Farben".

But the yellow in your pictures looks nice, think you´re emprooving with every mini you do.

I finally got the pictures of my current work. Still need to add some, but meanwhile I'd already like some advice on this tiger soldier:

bit of a quickie paint job, but I was happy enough just to finally have the damn thing and no longer have to use something barely better than a cardboard token for my engineer anymore. Fething SW stuff took long enough to come in; much of it is sub-par, too. this one's quite nice, decent cast etc. so it'll see permanent use.

In the very, very unlikely case I'll ever want to spend the time on painting one up really well I'll still have a spare; bloody idiot I was for doubling up on, of all kickstarters, that one...

Finally have my Trauma Doc painted up, but it was kind of a rushjob and the face decided to work against me and come out like that.

Ah that looks cool Bolognesus, definitely think that fits in well with the Infinity style. Do you have the guy from Dead Space miniature as well? Just putting my one of those together, think he would make a good random engineer miniature as well.

Hmm, bit 'suited up' for a PanO engineer IMO. I was thinking it, and the doc with flamethrower and some acannerlike device in his lef hand (hackig device!) might make good Kamau. All suited up - they look like BTS -6 all right

All a matter of taste, though - and TBH I'm not much of a fan of deadspaceguy's sculpt anyway.

And while we're on the topic of Sedition Wars anway, I'll be using my 12 bone crabs as Pretas until I can get a bunch of Prodos's Aliens for that

Yes I think I agree about the Deadspace sculpt Bolognesus, it's functional although a bit uninspired.

Have added a few new pics to my blog if anyone would care to rescue it from the 2nd/3rd page in a couple of hours!

Thanks. It´s very simple. I just basecoated the helmet with Vallejo Game color Orange Fire, then washing it with thinned Army Painter Quick Shade Wash Dark Tone and layerd new Orange fire on it. Then I did some more layers mixing Vallejo Model Color Deep Yellow in about 5 layers on it using pure Yellow on the edges and the highest point of the helmet... So just three colors and some thin layers...

Agreed, that is very nice! Lovely blending with the green. And like the lighting effect with the eyes of the Kaplan!

I've just done my own scarface up.

Wasn't a fan of the hand-held pzf.

Wanted him to dual wield the Mk12s and have the pzf as a shoulder mounted launcher.

Started with this:

No base extension in the box. That's ok, I found a way to minimise his overhang. Wooden crate was a placeholder.

Now like this:

Post by: Pacific

Wow.. have to say looking at the unpainted miniature it looked a little OTT, but the painted version looks rather awesome! You can fully imagine Scarface having the latest combat wetware that lets him target 3 enemies at once while making a cup of tea..

Looks great in that military-grade green, and like the blue lighting as well, contrasts really nicely.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/11/30 11:24:31

Post by: chromedog

It's his "come get some!" pose.

I figure he's bringing BOTH guns to bear on the one target - the guns held on an angle imply some movement.

Colours were VGCCayman green, VGC cold grey, GW badab black wash and VMC silver.

The blue was the only colour that really stood out against the green. It's a mix of GW Enchanted blue (old), Army painter crystal blue, and matt white (AP in this case, but it's more or less the same as VGC white.).

I'm not a fan of yellows (I don't believe Hi-Viz and combat gear should be used together) - I've still got to hit it with a brush on matt varnish to kill some of the shine left by the wash.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/11/30 17:44:57

Yes the blue does work very well!

Just having a look through some of the Infinity stuff in the gallery, and chanced upon this guy Schadlez - all I will say is !

Schadlez is Tom Schadle - host of the O-12 podcast and Golden demon (US) winner. His painting SHOULD be good.

Angel Giraldez has also won GD awards (Europe) but many of the better painters have won these awards.

chromedog - that Scarface conversion is fantastic!

Community Showcasing @ 2013/12/02 02:46:04

Post by: chromedog

Whilst I'm happy with the pose, the Pzf just didn't look right.
In that it looks different to every other Pzf out there (I'll forgive the PanO MO ones being smaller because higher handwavium tech).
I figure given he's part of the QK that I'd make his one closer to their "normal" looking one. This way he can fit in better with the others.

Just gotta go find a ghulam pzf or ariadna pzf now.
And as fortune would have it, whilst setting up to take a shot of scarface, I snagged him with the camera strap and he took a tumble, scrapping that launcher.

Built one out of tube and rod.

Thanks, I´ll take this as an compliment. Actually I´m taking part in project on tabletopwelt.de. If you take part you´ll have to paint 10 minis in 6 weeks (or 500 points Warhammer, etc.). Kaplan compete with Druze for me as 'best looking infantry models'.

Not even from just Infinity, just overall best looking infantry models. Both sets are gorgeous. It's kind of a shame Druze don't have as many tricks up their sleeve, as it makes Kaplan more of an attractive choice. But man are Druze good at kicking doors and asses in.

Kaplan and Druze are part of the Qapu Khalqi Sectorial.

Kaplan and Druze are also MERCS, and use the merc AVA for non-ITS games.
In ITS, they are only legal in QK.

(MERCS are fully "legal" to use outside of ITS - that is, sanctioned tournaments. You don't need "opponent's permission" but they can be used to fill gaps in your army that you wouldn't normally be able to - not that Nomads need much in the way of it.)

This is something that always grates on me. Mercs were made to be used, and there's rules there for using them in any human list.

But as soon as ITS banned them, they became banned in every game for some reason. As chromedog says, Mercs are actually legal outside of ITS games, but due to said convenient gap filling, it's best to at least let your opponent know beforehand. For example, the Merc hacker completely removes Ariadnas built in weakness of no hackers.

MRRF actually has access to a single Alguacil Hacker.

This is something I always forget about unless I've just been playing in the Army Builder like I was.

While I currently can't speak for the Druze, the Kaplan are really nice models. I initially didn't like their designs at all, but once I got the spitfire guy, I fell in love with their look. Definitely some of the coolest infantry in the game. It's a shame that they're banned from tournament play though. Has there ever been a reason for that?

Community Showcasing @ 2013/12/12 21:50:45

Post by: chromedog

Tournament balance, apparently.

It's a tournament rule, not unlike EVERY OTHER tournament restriction.

Even GW used to handicap their tournaments.

Community Showcasing @ 2013/12/12 22:30:52

Post by: Kanluwen

Remember that it's only the current mercenary "list" which is banned from tournament play.

We're going to be seeing at least two Mercenary Sectorial lists, balanced for tournament play, with the next book.
One of the forces is "Beyhan Resources", which is also the name of the group who backed the Kaplan Tactical Services.
The other is "White Star" something, which includes Scarface and the Druze Shock Troops.

I would be incredibly surprised if there were not new mercenary "warbands" or the like added within those lists to flesh out the groups more.

No to mention, Kaplan are fine in ITS play in Qapu Khalki, just like Druze. Both can take full link teams in that sectorial.

Didn't want to start a new topic just for this question but at the same time, I didn't know where would be most prudent to ask. Seeing as you showcase stuff here, it seemed like a good start so here goes!

The 35mm Knight Model Batman miniatures, do any of you Infinity playing folk have any at hand?
How do they size up with Corvus Belli's man dollies?

The measurments suggest there's probably a noticable difference in scale but there's such variance between companies that it's hard to tell sometimes without directly comparing models.

http://www.knightmodels.com/media/shop/images/products/web%20bane%20crew.png

The fellas with the knife and rifle would be perfect for Ariadna, what do you guys think?
