Just a quick shout-out to Zealot miniatures...

I've got a pair of the Gatling guns (one left-armed, one right), and they came in the exact condition seen in their promo photos - has got to be some of the neatest, cleanest casting I have ever seen anywhere.

I'm making a Mentor Legion "experimental" MK IV Dreadnought with twin assault cannons, just for fun, and they fit the FW Dreads beautifully

Boobs are intellectual property of GW now?
Shouldn't be surprised as they also claim halberds, skulls, Imperial Guard and grenade launchers as their invention.

I picked up some of the female tau a while ago, and have to say the casts are exceptionally well done.

I am planning on making a few female sgts, and a female honor guard for my custom anuva (don't care for the existing models).

This company's offerings look cool, but pricey... a single hopper is 6 pounds, and you'd need a lot of them for it to be useful.

But good to know about them, regardless

Zealot Miniatures (07/02/14 New stuff) @ 2013/11/05 16:02:14

Post by: BobtheInquisitor

Is there some artwork you based your "chappy" on? I ask, because apparently Reaper was inspired by the same piece.

Seems to be more just a mage from Skyrim to me.

Spoiler:

Zealot Miniatures (07/02/14 New stuff) @ 2013/11/07 10:19:38

Post by: Thantos

The mage was an old work from painter and sculptor Olivier Bouchet from mid 2012. I thought it was about time someone gave it a home and got it cast!
Not sure what artwork it was based on but I liked the finished article. Id recommend checking out Olivier's site if you are into mini sculpting.
http://ob-sculptures.blogspot.co.uk/

And i thought Reaper bones was solely inspired by cheap plastic pencil toppers

Of course =) This isnt Kickstarter or something We have ordered the stock already.

The older Kabuki Knights of Legend are coming to the end of their 300 limited edition runs. So its probably going to be one of the last few made. (ive been told there are only 8 more of the pheonix knights until they are OOP)

and then there is some fantasy stuff which nobody on DAKKA cares about anyway lol but you get the idea!

That beastman is wonderful! I especially love the elongated, knobby fingers.

The paintwork is also very striking and those cultist tentacles are appropriately gross and life-like.

Yea the rune cast sculpts and metal casting is great, very clean and detailed. Make me want to pick up the paintbrush again myself!

Zealot Miniatures (07/02/14 New stuff) @ 2014/02/13 19:05:48

Post by: OrlandotheTechnicoloured

Well my goblins were there when Iooked this morning

5 bodies in black resin, a sprue of 5 different heads, and a sprue of weapons 4 with drum and one with a box magazines loosely based on PPSh and PPS soviet WWII designs. (These came without any based)

I also found they did a command group so I picked them up too

3 bodies in an olive green resin (I prefer it to the black as it makes it easier to see details), 3 separate heads and a sprue with a hand and 2 weapons. (I also got 3 circular bases with these)

the resin is well cast and has well sculpted detail(a couple of minor bubbles will be easily dealt with), although what looks like talc was used as a release agent so they'll need washing before painting.

The metal is also well done, and the option to pick up spare head sprues/singles would be appreciated

(the main weapon sprue has both hands cast on it so are probably only suitable for use with these minis, but they look the part and Sov up the goblins)

I really like they style and the oversized greatcoats help give them a 'naughty little boy' charm and means (almost) no legs/feet to paint

so if you like the idiosyncratic look of these SovGobs they're well worth picking up

Just to confirm I received my super cheap Phoenix Knight today, two days after dispatch was promised!

Happy customer, one thing I'd mention is I didn't receive a dispatch notification, whether that was because of the slightly unorthodox way the orders were placed for these, I don't know, but if I should have, there may be an error. (Have checked spam filter, not there)

Makes me want to play some mordheim (another game system to learn argh!) - all the roofs of the buildings come off in one part, and they have interior details, so the game can take place inside the buildings too

Thats a good idea actually, thanks Wehrkind

We dont offer the zealot range to distributors currently im afraid, but the US shipping is quite good for orders under 2kg. And if you order goes over that, feel free to send us a message and we can try and get the cheapest shipping for you

I did, I sat down and planned out a 6x4 table using a mix of these and some scratchbuilt ruins, with a gradient of destruction across the table, it would have been glorious. For some reason, when I tried to buy them, my wallet began trying to strangle me
