STARTER PACKS

The council

Uruhvel:

I'm here to present a brand new game: Last Saga. This new project from Rocket Games hopes to have a niche for those players hungering for tactical action in a sci-fi environment, and also providing high quality miniatures for collectors and painters.

Hello and thanks for the good comments! About the size, females are 32mm from the feet to the top of the head, while males are 35mm.

Here you have a comparative photo of the model with models from other companies.

We are working hard for this project to come true, and we appreciate every hint you can give us for this to work. Don't hesitate to do so, via this post, facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rocketgames/463135873795780 ) or mail ( info@rockegames.co.uk )

Hello everyone! With intention of taking news to the same level on every site, I want to share all the work we have done so far.

Besides the paramedic girl (which is in casting process right now and first copies should be available soon), the state of development of the other miniatures are:

Fusilier: Is in process of 3D printing, here I share the concept art and the render. When the model arrives, you will see a complete photoshoot.

Phantom: In process of 3D modeling, here are the concept art and a very early stage of the render. This weekend we should have an almost finished render.

Manticore: Concept art finished, should be the next going to the rendering workshop!

Unknown!: First of the alien races, we will share the concept art as soon as we have it!

Also, we are working on a preview of the game system. I will include a few examples explaining how game works shortly.

Hope you like it!

The quality of the sculpting is great but the concept for the medic is painfully stupid.

Exposed midriff? Arms? Lower legs? Yeah, because people who routinely work with bodily fluids LOVE to get that gak on them. Blood borne pathogens are sexy, yes?

I know realism goes out the window with most miniatures and game settings, but come on.

I like the Lara medic, you could always take the phantom and paint a red cross on it.

I like the phantom although I'd be slightly concerned with the thickness of the legs around the knee ending up being a snapping point on the figure

Hi all! We have been working hard the past two weeks, so our apologies for the silence.

After some problems in the 3D modeling process with the phantom (some scorched hardware) we have a WIP preview that we can show.

Consider that still is a work in progress, so proportions adjustment are not finished. We are considering everyone's thoughts, like the thickness around the knees (thanks Orlando), and some other problems that occur when translating a concept art into a 3D model. With the correct corporal posture, equipment details and with a deadly sniper rifle, we know it will be awesome!

Tomorrow I will share a preview of the very first of the alien races! Is an amazing concept art, but while subject to changes, we want you to see it.

Please share your opinions, they are very important to us and help our development process.

I like the designs. They look like they'll match up well with other ranges like Infinity or Mercs. The Manticore and the Fusilier I especially like.

My one concern though, and maybe this is just me, but it seems like either the legs on some of the designs are too long. In the Phantom's case, it looks like the arms are too short.

She obviously has an anti gak energy shield

Liking what I'm seeing so far, though if the male models are noticeably larger than the rest of my collection that will stop me picking them up. Why did you decide on 35mm for the range? (the height you mentioned for male figs)

Also I might have missed it(sorry if I have) but what are you going to cast them in? and what price point are you looking at?

Looks very nice!

Almost Infinity-esque proportions, if some of the style is the same they could also be a good proxy for that game.

Thanks for your comments!

Joe, about the size of the miniatures, don´t worry, they fit perfectly with other works you usually find in the market. While our intention is to provide a fully playable game, we know some people will want our models for other purposes. So we design them seeking a size that is usually used in the market. With this in mind, we measure our models from the top of the head to the plant of the feet. This is typically 32mm for females and 35mm for male models.

On the material question, we plan to cast initially with resin, but we are seriously considering to cast in metal, more about this in near future.

And finally, I can assure you that the final price will be very competitive comparing the standard price you find today in the market.

Hope this helps! Please leave any other questions you may have.

Ooooh nice! I never owned any sci-fi minis but if other works are done similar to the style of current ones, I'll definitely look into it. Love how it mixed a bit of cyberpunk-ish feel and not over-the-top tech looks.

Hi all!

There is a first look of the first of the alien races. It is also a WIP, but tests like this are needed to find what we think will suit the game better.

Also, in a few weeks we should have a solid base for the Kickstarter project we want to launch, so we will give more details in near future about the concept arts, the game system and much more!

Remember you can view a complete look of the work until today in our facebook page!

Hi all!

Have been a few days of hard work, but finally we have the beta version of the manual, to receive opinions and critics that give us valuable information to improve the game. The Spanish version is available for download in the next link:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/zzflyamnzndaypr/LastSaga_ES_beta_v0.1.pdf

The English version is being corrected and will be available as soon as possible.

You can leave your thoughts in our dedicated email: rules_ls@rocketgames.co.uk

Also we want to share the first concept from the Uruhvel faction. This is an Advanced Unit, and will be equipped with some sort of organic weapon.

Finally, the Phantom is almost done, here you have the 3d render. Only a few details more and will be finished!

Remember to visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RocketGames.ltd for more updates! Greetings!

I'm digging it. I really like the Uruhvel faction, it's seems a lot more thought put into than most alien races, be it games or movies. Most alien races seem to have the goal of being bizarre and exotic as possible. Long necks, big monochrome eyes, huge upper body with tiny dwarf legs, bald heads with metal rods implanted into their head.

One of the props I have to give the guys at Corvus Beli is both the elegance of their alien races and taking some common features used for Sci fi aliens but making them blend so well with the overall theme and shape of the race. Instead of a huge head on a twig sized body.

By the way, how does one pronounce Uruhvel

I'm thinking it is Err-uh-vel but can see another way you may pronounce it.

I was wondering what happened to this one. Is that organic armor on the Uruhvel? If so, you've got my attention. Though, he needs a mask of some sort.

Was this going to be a Kickstarter? When were you guys thinking of launching? I'd like to have funds in reserve for it.

I like it without a face mask, reminds me something more of a space opera style helmet appose to a more hard sci fi. Then again, Him/her/it having a organic weapon, perhaps the armor is organic that allows the suit to form a mask when needed, combat, biological warfare or planet that does not have appropriate atmosphere to breathe.

Thanks you for your comments!

Uruhvel race uses biotechnology, so armor, weapons and equipment will have a very organic look. This will be the trademark of the faction. We didn't choose a hard scifi, because we think that having a little more room for design gives us the chance of making more cool concepts.

We've just received a new render that is ready to send to print. We hope to have it ready before the start of the KS campaign.

Now we have a launch date !!

Friday May 16th, the 30-Days campaign will begin where, with your support, we hope to make “Last Saga” a reality.

Our target is to successfully get funding to complete the 3D models for the starter packs for the factions: The Council and Uruhvel; their consequent 3D prints, and the necessary copies to provide our backers with the miniatures composing our game.

We wish that our proposal is of your pleasure, thank you very much for your support and interest!

I'm getting so tired of kickstarters with pretty drawings and no casts to show for it. Will there be casts of these BEFORE the KS goes live, or will this be another kickstarter that has pretty concepts but will miss the shipping dates because the timeline is soft. Sorry if its come across rude, but there's a lot of delayed ship KS right now and I've never seen your company/game info anywhere, so I'm hesitant to back anything without some track record.

[ Kickstarter] Last Saga - Funded! (Pre-Order is open!) @ 2014/05/11 22:12:54

Post by: kranki

@Theophoney - Your comment doesn't come across as rude just ignorant. The process of taking concept art from sketch to cast is expensive, and since kick starter funding is not a 100% guaranteed some people would say an unnecessary cost compared to hiring a graphic designer, organising shipping and other far more useful marketing tools.

PS - If delays and uncertainties are your biggest gripe I suggest maybe kick starter backing is not really for you....

"Unecessary" is not the word I would use for showing at least a test cast before / during a campaign. Wargaming blogs and forums then do your marketing for you by sharing the image everywhere.

Which is fine for companies like mercs and soda pop but if you don't have the spare 6 grand to produce a cast and that's if you find a manufacturer willing to do just one cast.

Anyway don't let me derail the topic, I love what I see gonna be a popular kickstarter .

$6 Grand? to cast it in what?

Metal casting = Around $300
Resin Casting = Around $40
Plastic Casting = Around $20k

The rulebook is almost finished, today we had a reunion with our translator, and now only the layout remains. Because of that, it is sure that will be available before the launch next Friday. Thank you very much for your patience.

Barzam wrote:I've been looking forward to this since you showed off those Fusiliers. I'm just not sure I'm going to have the money to go all in on this one. Can you tell us what currency you'll be using on it?

About the currency used, as the project is UK based, it will be pounds. Our prices will be adjusted properly and with nice discounts in the Kickstarter project, having our products a competitive price.

Theophony wrote:I'm getting so tired of kickstarters with pretty drawings and no casts to show for it. We understand your points and we are aware of the problems this type of campaign has. With this in mind, we have planned accordingly: all our manufacture steps are Europe based, companies well known and with proved reputation. For examples, Griffin Moulds will be the one responsible for the casts.

For further information, stay tuned and do not hesitate in asking!

@kranki, its the cost of starting your own business. $6k is not that much to start a business, and most casts from 3d I have a hard time believing that's the cost to have one done. (See cyporiean's post above, kind of knowledgeable in that area ). While I've only backed 2ks, I've watched a lot more that I'm interested in, such as this, but I don't put down money on ones that there's nothing to show for it.

I thought the same thing, but didn't want to go there.

"hey wanna get freaky with out little reproductive cords"

Being a more organic based race, wonder if those little tails/cords are some way to keep living (eating, breathing or getting stronger) or adapt to alien environments.

This should probably be another thread, or PMs.

We do our own in-house casting for Resin figures, so I'm well aware of the costs, and I'd say the results are better than the last few GW Finecast and Mantic PVC products I've picked up.

Not nitpicking, just curious, but are resin casts really that cheap compared to metal or is a zero missing?

Cheaper per mold, but you burn through resin molds quicker.

I think that's in-house casting costs, but the molds for a few resin models are indeed cheaper than doing the same for metal models, since it will usually be a flexible silicone mold. I.e. the mold itself is cheaper for resin casting, but if you're not doing it in-house the cost per cast is usually higher. That doesn't really matter for a test cast, though.

I agree that if folks want to discuss it further a new thread (maybe in Dakka Discussions) would be best.

Can I make a request? Like the others have noted the females look kind of off, is it possible to cover them up? I am not saying remove the sexiness of the model (if that is what you are going for) but I really do not think the only way a female miniature can look good is if it is essentially naked. I think if you covered them up in a unique manor with the bio-armor not only would it keep them looking good but the style would probably attract a lot more people. Sort of an example of covered up female is like a Hassassin Fiday from Infinity. She is totally covered up from head to toe including her face but still retains her "good-looking" nature. I may just be rambling but I think that is a better more realistic path that would fit better into the eventually fluff than using the simple "well they are basically naked because that is just how their species does it" which a lot of places use.

The Uruhvel starter pack includes one Aegeon and one Undaunted in their male version (Aegeon left Undaunted right photo). But they can be seen their female versions (with similar design of armor) if we unlock the corresponding goals.

Although some girls models wear little armor it will also be heavily armored female units.

Molds masters are made from 3D prints. In the picture below you can see the print quality of the machine we use. And we put all our effort to the 3D model represents faithfully the concept of art, as it can be seen in the renders shown so far.
The objective of our campaign is not presale starter packs, but to finance production. That is why we don't have samples of castings. Hope you understand.

As for sci-fi and not-plate armoured chicks, meh, if they can develop laser weapons and other fanciful techno gadgets in the future, who's to say the can't also develop protective body suits? I can always model my own armour on an unarmoured figure.

Quite like the paramedic but not sold on the sci-fi generic bodysuit and armour guys or the not-very-alien aliens (especially with the females have to rely on skintanium armour...).

Was hoping for more figures like the paramedic.

Anyone download the English rules?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/lv2p3eqwy22pubb/LastSaga_EN_beta_v0.1.pdf

Disappointed in the use of centimeters instead of inches. Love using metric when building things, but for war gaming I'll stick with my inches.

What's with the generic movement system? All units have the same base movement?

I understand wanting to create a set of rules that stand out from others but this seems like trying to reinvent the wheel.

I gave the rules a quick read, and I like what I see so far. I like the idea of overstrain markers. It is a good way to keep players from just using all their action tokens on their all stars.

Will the Uruhvel be in any sort of action pose/ equipped with any weapons? The artwork at least makes them appear very static.

I would assume all the stretches (with the exception of the civilian) will become add ons?

Any chance for new starters to appear as we unlock figures?

The Council looks great for a hard scifi faction.

The Uruhvel look good, too, or at least the male models do. Can't say I'm overly excited to see that much flesh on the females. Seems a bit gratuitous, and a missed opportunity to expand on the otherwise cool armor concepts that the males have.

About the desing and miniatures.

The designs of the concepts are in a normal pose to help in the work of sculpture. But all units (except civil and extras) are looking for a dynamic combat pose.

As we work with 3D models, we can modify the figure before sending it to print, so we will listen carefully all the suggestions and ideas of the backers.

I'm actually quite surprised by the price. As in, it's lower than I expected.

30mm Infinity is what I feel. Let me qualify that. Infinity in the sense of the models, not the game. Never played so I have no idea. But I have a ton of figures to paint some day when I'm retired.

OK, I'll back this one for two starters plus the exclusive model. I hope they introduce at least one more faction, or else I'll just have to double up on the humans-- I don't really need or want a bunch of naked alien women. Also, be aware that shipping will be calculated at the end of the campaign, so who knows how much the final bill will be...?

Edit the first post of this thread to include the kickstarter link, I had to read through 3 pages to find it, fortunately I am stubborn others might not spend as much time searching.

Also Cyporiean is spot on with the casting costs, making a mold for a 28-32mm model shouldn't run more than $20-$40 depending on the parts count, but they wear pretty quickly and you'll only get 30 or so copies before it starts to go bad. Set up costs for metal are about $300. (and if your on a super tight budget you can share the mold to do several models at that price)

Resin casting is quite cheap to do but more demanding on the labor end, quality will typically be much better then metal provide your caster is experienced with it. (GW's Finecast is terrible product to judge resin by).

Hi all, thanks for the comments!
I'm trying to answer all your questions, I hope don't forget any!

@highlord tamburlaine:
We'll show the weapons concep arts for The Council and Uruhvel along these days.
In one of the questions in the campaing FAQs we have more information about poses. I'm copying it. If you still have any concern, please tell us!

"Not really.

The process of creating a new miniature goes through converting the concept art to a 3D render. Because of that, the render image will have a mostly "neutral pose", to allow the artist add the maximun amount of details easily.

After all the work is done, it is easy to set different "action poses", previous to the 3D printing.

We want our backers have an active part of the decision making for the poses, so any ideas, images, or anything that would help us to bring life to our miniatures, will be taken into very high consideration."

@-iPaint-:
Uruhvel will also have female units with her whole body covered by armor and even heavily armored.

@basement.dweller:
You can find additional information for this model in this link:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1318212665/last-saga/posts/846779

@JoshlnJapan:
Thanks for your support! If we get enough support new factions will be unlocked.
About shipping: In the campaign information there's a shipping costs approach. Each of our figures weighs between 8 and 15 grams. Basing in your comment, we estimate it would be about £5,4.

@cincydooley:
We're trying to have an image as you're asking as soon as possible.

@paulson games:
Thanks for the tip!

-----------------------------

Civilian unlocked !

Every pledge level "Combat" or superior, will receive a free "Civilian" miniature.

Civilian will be at your disposal as an ADD-ON, for an additional pledge amount of £5 - (NPC, 25mm round base)

This miniature is used to represent a target in some missions, having active part on them.

That sounds great. I backed this project for two starters. Any rough sketches of releases, like Darklands did(Mierce) did? Yeah, we all know about the past mis-deeds of Mierce (I don't want to start that here), but if it is one thing they know how to do is release art and rough sketches.

Sculpts would alo be greatly appreciated...but they are moot with no concept art? Is there any place we can see/read about the races (even the un-arted ones)? You can even have the backers vote on which race to release next?

I came from the Pacific, so I love and use the Metric, but is there any way to convert the measuring unit to the Imperial (inches) for the sake of ease?

More questions to come. I may also post these in the Backer comment section. Thanks.

I apologize for the edit:
About the Uruvhel...I understand the the beauty of the female form. However, having a family...I do not feel comfortable handling/owning minis that are quite scantily clothed. Furthermore, having experienced combat, there is really no reason to be that exposed. Would there be any possibility on armored Vanguards?

Post by: Col. Tartleton

When you make the heavily armored female Uruhvel I'd also consider making less clothed males. I think it would balance them out aesthetically.

They don't have to be pin ups for girls since that won't make any money (the girls aren't overtly sexy, they're just a bit nude), but guys with at least bare torsos or something. Maybe just like a carapace loincloth thing like the girls have. I like the female designs, I just think it would be weird if both genders weren't almost naked. Especially if they're the sort of genetically enhanced futuristic race. I mean what do they need clothes for? They're obviously bad ass genius warrior supermodels. They'll just grow a flak jacket when they start getting shot at.

Flack jacket? Ha! real men only use sun block.

Yeah, but then, those spikes are one-use. If they truly are genetically modified, there is only one solution:multiple niples....
Wait....two solutions: regenerating ones.

Make the cod piece with a folding, hidden weapon and we can talk movie deals.

In all seriousness, the objectification and misrepresentation of the female form is getting old. I can see it in Infinity as they less-than-subtly stated "based on anime" in some of their older intros. However, advanced civilizations should be intelligent enough to see the need for clothing especially in hostile environments. Just my 2cents.

Exposed midriff is a pretty standard thing in North American society nowadays. I would hardly characterize it as "over the top"

I assume you're referring exclusively to Uruhvel faction in your comments. I'm happy with the concept art and will be interested to see what changes they implement between now and the final castings.

I'm aware of the Council female models, part of the reason I am contributing. Just not a huge fan of Uruhvel females.

As for being offended or think it is objectifying women, that is not the case and I am really tempted to start putting this in my sig as I have to type every so often.

When playing a war game, I like to see my male and female models outfitted for war. If the entire made up culture had skimpy clothing, such as a barbarian race I could see.
There is a degree of "sexiness" I don't mind, but pasties and a thong to war is not even trying.

I don't mind porn, women in bikinis on billboards and I love women in yoga pants. I also don't mind nude or near nude miniatures, I believe those type of miniatures are best fit for an alternative model as a "pin up" better suited for display rather than war gaming.

Not offended, I just like to see all my models prepared for combat.

As for Kingdom death, some great models, other times I feel like I stumbled on a Japanese website.

Why would they need clothing? They're aliens. They're into Biotech. Why would they use textiles? They have skin for that. Humans only wear clothing because we're a tropical species that is sensitive to cold (we will die of exposure at like 10-15 Celsius) and most but not all humans have this weird social shame about nakedness. If they like the cold and aren't afraid of being naked, they should be naked. If they're afraid of getting shot at they obviously have armor. They're not wearing a silly chain mail bra, they're just nude. Presumably the coverings of their erogenous zones could be for the simple reason that those areas are sensitive and might need clothing or their breasts might need some support.

If you imagine a species which has a shame about its head being bare then the most important article of clothing for such a species would be a hat. They could be fully naked elsewhere because those areas aren't taboo. If they have a foot fetish and a foot shame then maybe they'd keep their feet covered.

While I'm not going to complain if aliens are similar to humans, after all we are (despite some arguments to the contrary about rubber forehead aliens) a reasonable template for what sophisticated tool using intelligence in the universe will be like, it seems silly to be surprised if they don't think or act exactly like us.

Forgive me for not buying into the exploitation of women nonsense. What is being misrepresented? Last time I checked woman (and men) have a number of characteristics which we can quickly use to identify their gender. Logically its easier to present fictional fantasy races or species in the same way. Yeah we could use the sexual tells of non human animals but that will probably be lost on the audience or just look silly. I'm not sure I want my warriors to look like cockatoos.

Sounds like a Robert Munsch book for miniatures hobbyists!

And from an interesting recent update:

Status Report [1]

After two exciting days of campaign, we want to share with our dear backers the status of the works being done.

At the very moment that we reached the campaign's goal, we started to move things:

- Alexander Pascenko received the instructions to finish the concepts for The Council and Uruhvel remaining units.

- Questron, the studio in charge of the 3D modeling process, started with the two additional postures of the Fusilier and the Vanguard render. We are in constant feedback with them, so you will be notified in any progress, at the very moment we receive images or updates.

- We are working in having a finished cast of the Civilian as soon as possible, and even try to have it painted.

- Additionally, our backup designer, Marcos Raya, known for his amazing artworks, is on the design table with the instructions we gave to him, to release as soon as possible concept arts for the third faction of Last Saga. You can see some of his works in the following link:

TitanFall: Cómo dibujar bien https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miX0dRXr864

- Also, the great sculptor and better friend Mati, wanted to take part supporting our campaign, so he is working in the miniatures for the fourth faction. We show you here a sneak peek to his amazing work, preview of what comes next:

New faction WIP

New faction weapons

- We will in the future provide miniatures of both genders to represent units in Last Saga. This can be seen in the exclusive Kickstarter miniature, the female version of the Manticore.

- And finally, we are working on the remake of the next stretch goals of the campaign, of course from the current state, not changing anything of the currently unlocked. This is a HUGE change, so it will require a careful planning. Basically we want push the release of the new factions, being them the next stretch goals. We will give details about this shortly, but please comment with your thoughts about that.

The Rocket Games team will keep working hard!

Thank you very much!

Not sure if it's easy to see or not (the screen on one of my laptops has colour issues) but the guns the figure is holding are photoshopped in. I assume it's because they will be 3D printed later then added in order to finalize the sculpt and maintain a standard design for the other faction models.

It's easy to see, but I also do the same when trying to figure out scaling and proportion of digital models.

@greywulf: As you said, that was only a montage to show the weapons size in comparison with the miniature. The definitive model will hold only one weapon and as usual we will share more when the unit is finished.

As we promised, here you have the updates for the last steps we're doing in the Last Saga development.

From tomorrow, we will reorganize the stretch goals to put in frontline the starter packs for the next factions, as it is what you are requesting the most, thought kickstarter comments and in rest of our social media.

Here you have a preview of what you'll see in the next days.

The first thing we show you is the concept of a unit of the Raiders of Saanar faction, a race of adventurers and outlaws willing to not let go any loot.

This is a preview of our process for designing units. First, illustrators make some quick sketches to find an aesthetic in general that fits our idea. What you can see here are the first shots of the Guardians of Tanaor.

GUARDIANS OF TANAOR The home planet of the guardians is near the center of the galaxy, in the Scutum Arm. The First Watcher governs from there, ruling over a range of lineages who worship honor and family. Wielders of the highest technology in the galaxy, they succumb to arrogance and ostentation, seeing the other races as mere barbarians and lesser beings, treating them in a cold and polite way in the best cases.

More progress on a new sculpture in which is working our good friend Mati (Badsmile) as personal collaboration to this project.

Tomorrow we reach the first week of launching the campaign and we will continue working hard thanks to your support to help us making Last Saga an exciting universe and game.

@Rocket Games
I posted this quesion in through the KS and got this response

generally do not share the work in progress he is making to us. In his deviantart gallery, you can see the majority of his professional works, though. He is truly an exceptional conceptual artist.

I don't know, man. I did not want to bring this up on the KS board because I want this to succeed. However, I am getting nervous that even now 8 days into the KS, we only got 3 pictures of WIP, and COPIES of the artist's work. So, it's not even your OWN concept art?

At least give me some fluff. No, right? Still WIP?

How about new 3d renders? Still WIP, right?

Come on, a new KS with the same development as yours is coming MONDAY. Give me some hope, man.

Post by: Piston Honda

what's making you nervous.

Not sure what you mean by the "it's not your own concept art". I know for a fact one in the middle is RG's. As for the others, I have no clue. Could be theirs. Could be just a compilation of recent works by the artist.

As for sculpts, wish we could have seen more from day one but guess that is the purpose of KS. To show a layout idea and get it funded.

Ideal ks for me is to show the creators had a certain level of economic backing from day in terms of art and sculpts.

If 4 factions are planned 5 miniatures each in a starter, would be ideal to have sculpts for 5 to 10 of those, or have previous releases (ie Kingdom death).

I would like to see more fluff too. But nothing rushed out, more so in terms of dialog. Don't want any second rate syfy script quality writing.

Perhaps more of an overview would be best at this stage and time line.

this is interesting tid bit however,

The interaction between races is harsh in most cases. For the current factions being worked is like this:
The Uruhvel have no contact with others, they seem just wander around and attack random targets, but Intel reports suggest that attacks are generally involved with some classified information other races may get. What do they want? We will see...
The Council and Raiders of Saanar know each other well and there is a commerce relationship: trading general goods, information, etc. always with the germ of suspecting in the air.
Also, some Merchant Princes of the Saanar are trying to stablish commercial routes with the Guardians of Tanaor, but the constant attacks and pillage from other Saanar groups hinder those agreements: the Guardians see no difference between different Saanar groups, so the relations are tense and stagnant.
We are compiling all the ideas and plots, redacting them in a legible and publicable form.

The Guyver is the reason I really like the idea of organic armor and why I'm finding myself a big fan of the Uruvhel. They were talking about allowing us the option of using the Vespidae body for the Vanguard girls. I think I may just do that.

Update:

(Since there's several updates on top of each other I'll just post the most important stuff)
Size Comparison
Hi all!

Here you have some pictures with other similar ranges models for size comparison.
After the first tests with the copies we received, we are making some minor adjustments to the scale of our models to improve the final result. We will comment this in more detail in the next update.
Anyway these pictures are a good guide about the final size that the miniatures for Last Saga will have.

Let us know what you think!
Spoiler:

Size looks pretty good. they look like they'd scale pretty well with infinity or deadzone which is what I'm after.

3D sculpt alterations to the current fusilier and more renders.
Spoiler:

There's more info on the KS itself, I highly suggest checking it out. You can see the full updates here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1318212665/last-saga/posts

Raiders of Saanar

Hi all!
Here we have the last two concepts for the Raiders of Saanar starter pack.

Left: contractor, Right: corsair

Which pose would you like to see for these miniatures?

Also interesting little tidbit from the comments section from the creator:
we expect to release more "big guys" in all factions, not only the Dragon. It is rumoured the Uruhvel has a big unit wearing a bio-organic exoskeleton...

So sounds like the Uruhvel will be getting a bio-mecha of sorts.

Enjoy.

Project Reworked!

Hi everyone!

We have remodeled the entire body of the campaign, seeking to make everything more clear, which options do you have, and the reward for supporting us.
Also, the stretch goals have been revised. After making lots of numbers, talking with our collaborators and the companies working with us, and the help and support of our backers, we pushed a little the next unlocks, adding some more addons like different weapons for already locked units.
We are still revising and making some minor adjustments, also we are open to suggestions, as usual.

Hope this help us to be more transparent in our intentions with this project!

The reworked stretch goals are as follows:
Spoiler:

Also the Saanar Starter pack has been unlocked (12k goal):

Its available as a £18 add-on or a starter faction choice, the project currently stands at £12,495 and climbing.

Update:
Hello everyone,

This is the first of a couple of Status Reports, because we have received some questions from different people and we want to put light on everything.
About the future of Last Saga, what are we doing here and what will be next?
With the Kickstarter campaign, as you know, we plan to set up a base for Last Saga, with the two planned starter packs, growing after that with more miniatures to complete the roster, updates of the rules, events, tournaments, etc.
From the beginning, our intention for our backers to be the first enjoying the miniatures for Last Saga, that is why, until the moment the last backer has received his/her reward, the models will not be available by any other meanings.
After that, the online shop will be opened. Also, we are in contact with some retailers interested on our future products.

We will have a constant flow of monthly news and updates, trying to balance the available options for each faction. That way, every player will have the same variety of models at his/her disposal, being this one of our compromises.
Up to today, we have designed a total of 20 units per faction (5 factions), between basic, advanced and officer units. We will share the complete lists along next weeks, and their recruitment cards will be published in a regular basis, to show a clear idea of the type of units and their capacities.

Day after day we keep the work on releasing the maximum number of models for the start of the game. Result of that was making more accessible the Stretch Goals, and during the post-campaign we will keep that way of work. Every new model we achieve to produce will be added to the post campaign manager, having the adjusted price for our backers as the rest of the models. The way the pledge manager will work will be explained shortly.
Finally, we think a game is as valuable as its community. In that direction, as we have stated many times before, we want to slowly build confidence and trust. We think is a good way (and we do not know any other way of being, anyway) of managing a company.

There are some other things to explain, will be covered on the next Status Report!

Thank you very much!

Tanaor update [2]
Hi all!

Here we have the new concept for the Guardians of Tanaor starter pack.

  • Exiled.

  • Among the ranks of the Guardians of Tanaor, the failure is never forgiven. But when this happens, and the Tanaori fall from grace, their only option is to continue in the path of shame as an Exiled, doing the tasks that Guardians do not want even imagine.
Because of their miscellaneous procedence, the Exiled can be equipped with a wide range of weaponry, being the perfect jack of all trades. Combined this with some "dirty tactics" no other Tanaori would ever do, the Exiled fills a very needed place in the rigid formations of the Guardians of Tanaor.
    Spoiler:

    Update #2 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1318212665/last-saga/posts/867590
Those who destroyed Earth: New faction unlocked!
    Hello everyone!

Tomorrow we will release the second part of the Status Report, with some thoughts on the game system, the upcoming pledge manager, and the general status of the works.
We were preparing an update with the new concept art, to show you another unit of the Guardians of Tanaor starter pack: the Exiled. But breaking news stopped that plan.
We want to share the works on the fifth faction. We did not plan to release this on the KS, but the incredible work that Mati is doing in his collaboration is going to permit that addition, automatically unlocking its choice as eligible faction for the starter packs and as addon.

Here you have the first looks of the modeled miniatures being finished:
This is the base model for the starter pack basic unit. It has a "static" pose, because at that point some resin copies are made, working later on them to make the three final postures, giving also a dynamic posture and adding details.
    Spoiler:

That one is the nearly finished model for Jeghrok Brute, an advanced unit of the starter pack. It will be equipped with a grenade launcher, later some details added and done!
    Spoiler:

Here are too some 3D modeled weapons for the faction, already sent to the 3D printer.
    Spoiler:

The Officer and the second advanced unit are also on the way. As you may have noted, this faction is composed by multiple alien races: if you have read the plot for The Council, you can have a general idea of which one is.
That will push us to the limit, as we need to prepare everything for another faction, but giving our backers that option for the Kickstarter is priceless. Along the weekend we will add that information to the front page!

    Hope you like it!

    Enjoy.

At that tier I could get x1 Uruhvel Starter Pack, 2x Uruhvel Support Packs, 1x Vespidae and 1x Stalker if it unlocks. that's around a 300 points army for £54, pretty good deal in my book and it supports an

    Hi all,

Thank you Rolt for keeping the thread updated! Your help is very much appreciated.

And the Black Crow have been unlocked! Thanks to our backers, this unit is now available!

Bold and daring, these adrenaline junkies add to the fury of combat jumping from miles high, timing the opening of the parachute with the very last moment of the freefall. It is said of them that bring death under their wings, so the name Black Crows fits perfectly.

With the ability to appear at the time and place of the battlefield that is most needed, the Black Crow offers a very high tactical advantage. Combine this with support weapons and variety of grenades; they land over the enemy from the sky, carrying much more than bad news.

Thank you very much, your support is truly amazing!

    Tanaor update

    Hi all!

While we finish The Council Unit List, we leave the concept of the officer for the Guardians of Tanaor starter pack.
  • MAESTRE

  • Holding maximum authority among the ranks of the Order of War, the Maestre is a figure of power. Examples of honor, dedication and servitude for the Tanaori society, those unparalleled warriors always go to battle leading their fellow Knights.
Heavily armored, equipped with very powerful weaponry, and with a tactical mastery, the only weak spot the Maestre has is their honor and pride, leading to some rigidity on their formations. While many enemies try to exploit that, only a few survive long to have a second look to those amazing warriors.

    Update:
    Pledge Manager [1]

Hi everyone! We are working on the Pledge Manager configuration for it to be ready at the end of the campaign, to permit the maximum flexibility possible on the rewards selection, also making all this process as painless as possible.
The Pledge Manager we are using is Backerkit. Some of you probably know it from other projects and have experience with it. You can see more about this manager on its website:

    https://backerkit.com/

The detailed use of the manager will be extensively explained on a future update.
The steps for the post-campaign process will be the following:

  • When the campaign finalizes, the first period of the manager will be opened. At this time, each backer will be able to choose rewards and add new add-ons if wanted.

  • When this period ends, a second limited period, only for backers too, will be active. On this period, backers will have the possibility to raise their pledge to choose new add-ons.

  • After this, a third period will be opened, accessible to non-backers too. During this time, the exclusive miniature, reinforcement packs or additional rewards will not be available.

  • All the additional support we would receive during the post campaign will be destined to the new models, making them available on the manager at the very moment.
Do not hesitate in asking any concerns you may have on those subjects, we hope the pledge manager will make easy and clear all the process.
Finally, we want to emphasize our priority on maximize the quality of our models, now and in the post-campaign, finally shipping your rewards to you as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your support!

    Update:
    New Add-ons - Saanar reinforcements

    Hi everyone!

As explained in the Update #60, these are the new eligible addons unlocked!
We desired this, allowing a little more balance on the basic options for each one of the factions. The concept arts for the designs of those units will come on the following days, of course with the high standards we require.
    Hope you like!
  • Free Agent

  • The Merchant Prince Velphor thought that entering the mercenaries business would be profitable, but he did not foresee how successful that idea would be. Generations later, the Star Chaser Group is the main source for finding effective mercenaries to hire, as every Merchant Prince knows when rough works are coming.
Polyvalent, effective and merciless, the mercenaries trained by the S.C.G. usually make use of support robotic systems, controlled with neural implants to aid them in battle. That efficacy and training should be paid, not doing so carry consequences a Merchant Prince would never consider.
  • Grot

  • In planet Saanar, twin races coexisted during millennia. One of them, the Grot, did not have the vivid intellect necessary for evolving to a technological age, but being physically impressive, they found an alternative to extinction as helpers, workers and warriors on the ranks of their brethren, the lately known as Raiders of Saanar.
Gigantic bulks of muscles, the Grot accompany the incursion groups sometimes. Their little intellect do not make them suitable for a complex tactic, but when you need a frenzied bulldozer clearing your way through, the Saanar have a fast and easy choice.

I'm glad this kickstarter is doing well. I think the concept art looks really good, and I really like the rules. There are some neat ideas in there, and it should make for a fun and fast-paced game with just a handful of models needed per side.

I got to play 2 games. overall is quite fun and fast, It feels like a FPS but with some strategic thought as the game progresses.

I have a few issues with some rules directions. Hopefully they will be ironed out. My biggest complaint is you MUST shoot the enemy closes to you unless you have an ability that lets you discriminate between enemy units.

The flow of the move and shoot will take some time to get use to.

They (Rocket games) state that the rules will be in both inches and CM. Personally I feel as though that is an unnecessary task that could prove to be too much. Especially if you need to make stat card with measurements on them, unless they include them together. such as 4in (10cm).

Hopefully they will consider having the special abilities defined and possibly weapon details on the back rather than art.

    Post by: Albino Squirrel

Thank you for the opinion on the rules, Honda. I haven't had a chance to actually try them out. I was also a little unsure about the rule of having to shoot the closest target. That seems pretty limiting. But I suppose it does also allow you to position your own guys to protect the officers, "wounded", or other important targets.

I also don't care much about having both inches and centimeters. The other main concern I had was that there are a lot of abilities for the models and different weapons, which would be a lot to remember. That's a good idea having them on the card so you can reference them quickly.

    [ Kickstarter] Last Saga - Funded! (Pre-Order is open!) @ 2014/06/11 19:33:28

    Post by: Piston Honda

That was an issue. If I happen to remember what an ability does for an miniature, it's because I happen to use way too many times in a game. I don't go out and memorize abilities. Just core rules. Needing to flip pages in a book sucks. And having a sheet of paper in a pain in the ass. Still have to search for it and takes up considerable space on a table than what is needed.

Being able to tell a new player who is interested in the game "flip the card over" is much more favorable.

How did the damage system work out? There is a roll on that damage chart, which doesn't appear to be modified for already being damaged. So I was a little concerned that a model with high resiliency might be really hard to take out unless they roll 10-12 on that chart and die outright.

There is a modifier for attacking damaged units or units that are "pressured". IIRC it's +2

There is a lot going on with this Kickstarter! They are posting frequent updates. These include some new stretch goals, some bonus objective models for everyone, and some information about the timeline for the next revision of the rules.

    New Stretch Goals

    Hi all!

We are close to unlock the Tanaor starter pack and we're very excited to get it unlocked during the campaign.

We have added new stretch goals in 16k and 17k to strengthen the faction with two new models.

We also hope to unlock them so they can also be part of your games soon!

Models are Curator, a basic robotic unit, in 40mm base and Faceless, advanced unit specialized in melee.
    Spoiler:

Final Stages - Thanks for backing us!

We are on the final hours! To reward your amazing support, we prepared a little addendum!
    Spoiler:

Those three boxes are meant to be used as marker for a mission, and every pledge level Starter or higher will receive a free set!

    Hope you like them!

    Game System status.

    Hi all!

On this update we want to write a little on the progress of the game system. We have received a good amount of awesome feedback, comments, suggestions, etc. so thank you very much!

The main mechanics and style of the game seemed to have been proven solid and functional, on par with the ideas we wanted to transmit: fast, agile and tactical. Because of that, no major changes on that structure are needed.

Some minor points we are revising, many of them pointed by your awesome feedback, to balance things and made games more dynamic and fun, are:

The way of the “area of effect” weapons work. This is something that needs a little love in the rules, explaining better how dispersion works for the different weapons (currently do not disperse).
High ground benefits. We will consider that, because it would add an additional tactical sense.
About cover, is patent that a miniature without cover may fall very fast (working as intended). We will emphasize on the manual that the use of cover is essential, also the bonuses will be revised too, but most likely the numbers here are ok.
The AC values will receive some adjustments. The first value will be lowered a little, to allow easiness on the application of pressure markers. We want this to be a core mechanic, so is very important. Also the counters will be substituted by markers with the current level of pressure (-1, -2 and -3) to reduce the amount of those in the gameplay.
The Damage Check table will receive some adjustments, making harder for a unit to be severely damaged or put out of combat.
Some abilities will be revised and balanced, also adding some missing on the current version of the manual.
The weapons section will be expanded, tuning some numbers and making clear some weapons abilities and explaining others.
The missions section will be upgraded, adding some flavor text and more mechanics. The released mission “Going Crazy” is a little preview of that.
On the next weeks we will keep making a good amount of tests to refine the system! We also hope you keep sending us more feedback, commenting how the game experience feels. As said, that material is incredibly valuable.

Next month, the new beta version will be released, in Spanish and English, with all those changes. It will come together with the revised RCs and material for testing, like new markers and counters and quick reference cards. That will be very close to the final version, but we will leave a door open of course, for the reception of feedback and opinions.

After the next version is complete, is our intention to make videos of gameplay, detailing all the important parts and how the system works, and publish Battle Reports with our games. On that we want to encourage people on sending us photos of their games to post them on our dedicated blog!

    Faceless - Unlocked!

    Hello everyone!
The Faceless is here! Thanks to your support, the model can be chosen as a Type A reward or as Type A Add-On to your pledge.
Includes 25mm round base and Recruitment Card.
    Thank you very much!

  • Faceless

  • The Faceless belongs to an unnamed subgroup inside the Tanaori society. They have all the keys and they hear all the rumors. It is said that they do not have any face to remove any
personal responsibility and hesitation they may have in the execution of the orders. Those orders come directly from the First Watcher and sometimes they are against individual honor:
any normal Tanaori who would have to obey some of those orders, would have no choice but become an Exiled afterwards.
As executors of the sentences imposed by the First Watcher, the Faceless is cold and lethal. Experts in the use of blade weapons, used when an execution sentence is ordered,
they are also proficient in their use in battle. Luckily for their enemies, they never follow orders from lesser Officers, being apart of Tanaor tactics. But this makes them also more
    unpredictable, therefore more dangerous.

It's in the works. Earliest is tomorrow, they are getting things together.

They also switch 2 factions around which put the Empire before Tanaor on priority as Mati (sculptor for the empire) finished and got going on a number of sculpts before any of the Tanaor were done.

RG hopes to have the first Council minis printed by the end of the month and possibly cast not long after.

Last I heard they will be spin casting the models in phases as models are completed rather than wait for all of them to be done.

I think we have only seen one weapon right now.

They hired an additional studio that fits their needs and art direction so it will speed up the sculpting process.

In the opening days of the KS they mentioned Concentrated effort to get the Council done so they can cast the stuff while the Uruhvel get finished up. By the sounds of it, the same company/sculptors that are working on the Council are working the the Uruhvel. They seemed hopeful to get a metal cast done by July.

    Update:
    Status Report [5]

    Hello everyone!

Have been a while since the last Status Report, but here we are again!
All is going very good!: The manticore was sent to print, the Tactical Officer is on the workbench to complete The Council Starter Pack, the Contractor and the Dragon are getting its final touches, etc. At the very moment we have images to share, you will see them as usual.

The system is evolving pretty good too, we are making continuous adjustments, so that is why the updates on that subject have stopped a little. We currently have revised all the weapons and their Special Rules; next will be the Special Rules for Units followed by the Units themselves. All this go in conjunction with a lot of clarifications needed on the manual that will be revised before the release of the v0.2.
We are compiling and developing all the fluff, to expand the background of the world and spice the units and the missions.
All the background will be available in our upcoming website, also available to download in pdf format. The pdf version of the beta manual will be kept fluff free, to ease the check of the rules during games. Also, we are thinking the best way of making quick reference cards, more on this on future updates.

And finally, Backerkit is near! We are waiting the end of the collection period, it should be tomorrow (they said 15 days). Following that event, we will notify you how will everything work, in the most detailed way possible to avoid confusion.

    Thank you very much!

So by the sound of it a large portion of the council forces are done (or at least the starter set) and we should be seeing phyical master prints soon, also the
plegde manager should be along within the next month or so.

    Hello everyone!
The finished model of the Contractor! Hope you like the final result, after the addition of the trousers, and some additional details.

    Faceless update [1]
    Hi people!
We have a new concept to share. It belongs one of the units unlocked before the end of the campaign: the Faceless.
    Spoiler:

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1318212665/last-saga/posts/896603

The Contractor is finished and now has short shorts instead of bare legs and the Faceless concept looks great, can't wait to see the mini.

    @Barzam
Yeah sure nude bug women are fine and all but how about scantly bug men with exposed midriff?

    Hi!
Today we have the concept for Curator! The design just arrived from the Crafters Guild of Tanaor, made by a legendary Artisan: Marcos Raya Delgado.
    Spoiler:

    Enjoy.

    I like that curator.

The contractor does look a lot better with shorts.

Still something about it (the lower half) doesn't feel right. Raiders of Saanar are the only faction that does not get me excited.

    Update:
    Dragon Update [2]

    Hi all!
The Dragon model is finished! Some details changed a little from the WIP you saw, fundamentally constructive ones on its joints to give it more sensation of movement
The miniature will be composed of 10 different parts: the head, torso, hips, left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg, the two winglets, and a set of rubble (this last part not 3D printed but molded with putty later). This will confer freedom at the moment of the mounting, permitting different positions.
In the future, we plan to release a tutorial of "How to t̶r̶a̶i̶n̶ mount your Dragon", to show the complete process.

    Hope you like it!

    Free Agent Update [1]

    Hi all!
There we have the concept art of the Free Agent of the Raiders of Saanar, by Alexandr Pascenko. The minion is missing, because we are considering the design and how it would fit in the mould, but it will be presented.
Don't forget to make the payment after the job is done!

I'm thinking I'm going to have to grab a Dragon when the pledge manager opens up. It looks like it'll be a good replacement for the Panoceania Squalo. Will there be different poses for the Dragon, or will it just be that one pose with two weapon options?

    Update:
    Status Report [7]

Hi everyone, time for the weekly report!
  • We are having some trouble with the Backerkit configuration, that is why we have not opened it yet! Everything was ok when we sent it for revision, but their support team gave us some directions they thought might improve the manager. After a few days of tweaking and communication, it seems we reached a common point, so we thought this time everything will be ok. This happened because the large number of options we gave, but no less to say that we do not regret it!As we said last week, before the opening we will release a guide on "how to", but no worries here, is pretty easy.

  • On the system, as all the modifications on the rules are finally set, we are now with the composition of the beta v0.2 manual. Majority of the units and weapons have been revised, to adjust them to the new version. When this is done, we will start adding gameplay examples to ease comprehension of the system and tactics.

  • We have received the first 3D prints tests and the results are pretty good. We have to do some adjustments in some 3D models, to improve details definition. With that little modifications, we are going to reach a perfect result in the final metal copies.

  • Everything is on schedule and going very good!

I was hoping they would add some light armor to them, but for whatever reason, more stubborn than a tick on a mule.

Oh well. I glad I still backed, the few games I have players were a blast with just a few rules that irk me a bit. Sort of wish I got the Uruhvel after seeing how the other turned out. The vanguard models turned me. Not a sexist / "I'm offended" issue, a pet peeve and consistency issue.

my only complaints of the minis so far are

the Dragon having a foot on top of a stone, just don't like it. His legs do look a tad bit stiff from certain views, I'll wait untill I see it in person before I lose my gak.

the Uruhvel vanguard models. While they are a great sculpts, the lack of armor sucks. 80 percent of their body is exposed. I can see doing that as a separate alternate model for display/collector purposes but part of a war game would like to see more armor.

I'm not saying avoid sexy, don't mind sexy but lack of armor when getting shot at kind of sucks.

Other than that the sculpts have been pretty damn good.

Ingame they should work as Vanguards, the swap is purely cosmetic! Instead of the original bodies for the Vanguards, who desire it will receive the Vespidae bodies instead (without wings).

Apparently Zenit miniatures is picking up where Rocket Games have had so much unfortunate dealings and just bowed out.

Is Zenit a good company? I know of them but don't know much about them.

I think I chipped in 150 to 200 bucks on this. Perhaps I can finally get something out of this.

Probably don't have room in my life for yet-another sci-fi miniatures game (although I tend to have a habit of *making* room ) but the news of a peaceful "acquisition" and cooperation to deliver on the Kickstarter and then continue to produce the range bodes well for the industry. This and the Polyversal campaign to use multiple miniatures company's miniatures in one game are good directions for the hobby as a whole.

    Post by: Siygess

Nope. They had all kinds of problems getting the casting done and the last straw was, I think, having the caster (2nd caster? 3rd? I don't recall now) produce too many of a few of the minis, none of the rest, keeping the money and going radio silent. This deal with Zenit will help ensure the backers get their pledges and hopefully salvage a future for the game.

    Post by: Barzam

Well, people who had stuff in that botched run did receive stuff. I had two figures in that batch. The casters may have royally screwed them, but the quality of those pieces they actually bothered to produce were surprisingly good. I'm curious if when Zenit gets around to production, if those of us who did receive some items will receive duplicates or not. With luck though, they'll hopefully begin production on those figures soon.

    long story short

1st caster was a failure. Not sure how much money was lost but they quickly went onto a second caster in Germany, IIRC.

The largest chunk of funding went to this caster.

Several emails were exchanged regarding delays. He was sick, back logged, I think sick again.

Claimed he sent a package to Rocket Games, rocket games never got that package.

On this German based wargame news site http://www.brueckenkopf-online.com/?p=163066&cpage=1#comment-457578

there is an image of some complete miniatures. Some which were thought to have never been produced and definitely have never been sent. Question is, where did they go? Will Zenit be able to acquire the spin cast molds to make transition quicker?

I've never had an opportunity to view any of the models, but in terms of quality and posing, they seem to be in the ball park of Infinity. Anyone know the scale of them? They look 32/35ish?

I've said this a lot about everything.

    Too many unplayed video games.

Too many board games (several book shelves)

Too many scifi and/or fantasy games.

To many historical minis games. 10mm and 15mm? Well I need to add 28mm to round it out. It's only logical.

Some how I always manage to get another. :p

But I do feel good about getting rid old/unused minis to supplement my habits.

I can't really post links on my phone, but check my Sci-fi gallery. I have a pic of my Council Tactical Officer next to some old and new Infinity Panoceania figures. He at least is somewhat on the large side. Probably about 32mm rather than 28mm. He seems better scaled to Dreamforge than Infinity, but I think he could still easily mix in with Infinity.

This is it! We’re finally getting ready to ship!

We will lock down shipping addresses in 7 days. That means you have a week to update your shipping address!

We are sending an email to all backers who has replied surveys and payed shipping so you can check if your address is correct.

If your address is OK, you do not need to worry, no action is needed.
Else, please reply to the email with the updated address.
We’re currently aiming to ship rewards on November/December. If you need, you can reach us through : ale@zenitminiatures.es

I wonder how many still care and how they will compare with the present level of 3D sculpting and casting.

Well, I had a pony in this race and I still care, for what it's worth. AS I recall, these were all 3D sculpts as well. The quality was pretty good, for what actually got produced. Zenit is supposed to have a decent track record, so quality should hopefully still be maintained. If they can maintain thequality and actually get these to retail, I would be happy to buy more.

Some were originally being sculpted traditionally, but the majority 3D. See a couple of clay figures on the main page. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1318212665/last-saga/description
At some point after the funding of the campaign it looks like they ditched the traditional and went full 3D, which didnt bother me much.

Many of the figures looked like they were being done by one of the sculptors who works either for or with Corvus Belli on Infinity.

That's the main reason why i bought in, the aesthetic rather than the game. I'm still stoked to get these figures. Just wish I could add more! I think I'll send an email and ask. The worst they can say is "No".

Sorry to raise from the dead, but just to say I received my pledge today. (Three starters and various add ons).

Casting generally seems good, one or two iffy lines including one across the face. Some poses seem a little flat, but I'm liking the aesthetic.

Hey, that's great news! Last I saw, Zenit had been flooded, which set back production and distribution. Glad they got things back on track. Did they send out a shipping notice at all?

They sent me a request for shipping costs, I paid and hadn't heard anything approx 1 month later so emailed. No response but a parcel arrived a few days later.
