"Do we have tau allies? And lets get that dropship"

No its the one where your being attacked by the Chaos marines.

The Snipers begin to move back but soon are fired on by Chaos space marines who move forward and press their attack forcing the Snipers back into cover.

Ludias grumbles under his breath as Syrath unsheaths his claws
"Ill deal with this"

The marines continue and begin throwing frag grenades forcing the group to split and attempt to fire from there. The squads leader appears bearing heavily customised armour and weaponry and points towards Luidias;

"Kill him now."

Ludias scoffs
"I think not"
He raises his pistol and fires a shot that decapitates the first marine to get to close,
"Try me"

Two Chaos marines raise Cross bow like weapons and fire a single arrow each, both arrow slam into the wall behind Luidias and violently explode sending him flying.

Ludias feels the explosion ripple against his suit but isnt bothered, hes dealt with worse. He twists in midair as he flys towards the marines drawing his sword. His tumbling flight is arrested by a thick plasteel covered chest and his sword sinks into the marines neck, the power matrix around the blade ripping through the power armour.

His momentum pushes the now limp Marine to the ground and he stands yanking the blade out and pivoting on his heel. The weapon slipping through the second marines neck in a spray of acidic astartes ichor.

He leaps backwards flipping in midair and as he hits the ground his hand comes up his pistol in his grip. He squeezes the trigger three times each shot hitting the Champion marine in the throat.

The Champion marine ignores the attack and revels that the shot was blocked before raising his Power-Mace and slamming it into the ground near Luidias and grabs the sniper by the neck before drawing a combat knife and growling;

"The Employers would give me so much if I were to hand you in to them, however I wonder what others would pay me for you?"

"Keep thinking tough guy. You should never have let me get this close"
Ludias grins into his mask as his powersword still held in his right hand slips under the marines arm impaling both hearts and severing his spine

The marine drops Luidias and stumbles back before falling while the remaining Chaos marines retreat in fear of the Snipers next moves, the blast doors close giving the Snipers peace for mere seconds as a distinctive roar fills the room. Several doors begin to shake as children close in on the Snipers position.

"Im not going to pretend that this isnt an issue, Syrath do we have an exit?"

(Now would be a good time for the tau to arrive? Pleeeeeeasee)

"We can warp away but what of the Tau and the bomb? If it goes off when they arrive were screwed. We need to find it and change the timer and alert the Tau but these children will be a problem, grab my hand and we'll warp to a hanger."

The daemon and Snipers warp to a derelict hanger just as the children break through, the hanger is filled with rusty shuttles and Valkryie's that have seem better days.

Ludias looks over one of the less damaged ships. A thunderbolt with an extra seat.
(changing the color for easier reading)"This will do nicely, Bel' Syrath you go sort the bomb. Hunter, I need your help here."

He goes to the ship and runs a long metal rod along one of the panels which pops of. He catches it and tosses it to Hunter.
"We need to make this fit for travel in 30 minutes, do you think you can help with that?"

Hunter nods and revels his techno arm;


"My handy work, I am very pleased with it myself and is suited to many different functions including repair. We probaly need to modify the engine exaust and the coolant systems."

"Indeed additionally you will have to edit the rear gunners seat to fit your dimensions. Perhaps without armour? That may make things faster, there are already several storage positions in the craft. Lets get to work"

Over the next thirty minutes the two work on the Thunderbolt until it is viable for space travel. Ludias finishes of the landing gear just as Bel' and Syrath come back through the door. Bel' looks over the vessel and cottons on immediatly.

"I take it I'm riding shotgun?"
"Got it in one old friend"
Ludias turns to Syrath,
"Warp to the Shas'o's position we will use this fighter to assault the bridge and provide cover. We will be operational in 15 minutes. and at the bridge in 25, I suggest you start moving"

After the Daemon dissapears Ludias turns to Beltayn.
"Alright lets get the armour on this thing finished. Hunter youll be using the rear mounted quads to shake of any pursuit, Ill handle piloting while Bel' deals with primary weapons. As soon as we get out there I expect that they will send interceptors, they are weak on the wing joints, for some reaon the chaos possession of the fighters isnt as strong there. Hellblades are also weaker when banking left and will present a broadside for a longer period. All set?"

The trio work to armour and arm the thunderbolt and as they get into their harnesses with Hunters armour strapped into one of the holding boxes in the cabin Ludias begins to check feul, seeing it well stocked he ignites the engines. The two otehr members of the Thunderbolts crew hear his voice over the vox:

Ludias closes the cockpit visor and flicks the ignition to full accelerated burn. The Thunderbolt jinks through the bubble shielding on the hangar doors and accelerates quickly into the blackness, sure enough half a dozen blips target their position and begin to home in

Ludias banks left hard looping over the hull of the super carrier, jinking between arcs of quad fire from the over-zealous but innaccurate hellblade pilots. As he performs his manouvre Hunter unleashes bursts of quad into the wing joints of the hellblades, winging two and shredding a third

Ludias pulls the Thunderbolt in a tight arc and Bel' locks two lascannon bursts onto the offending hellblades which dissolve into iridescant explosions, Hunter finishes of the last one as they zip past. Redeemed being the old term for atmospheric encounters when a pilot bit the ground. In this case it would have been the hellblade impacting on the hull of the supercarrier.

One final loop brings them in VFR of the bridge outlook.

Several strangely designed Alpha Legion fighters appear, they are graceful in design and fly with precision but soon turn their attention to the Thunder Bolt zooming towards the fighter and unleashing volleys of purple plasma fire. They attack again only missing by inches but Hunter scores a direct hit sending one of the fighters out of control, it explodes as it slams into the Hulks side;

(They are graceful but lack shields, better that we make precise shots and don't waste ammo.)

Ludias moves through a series of turns and jinks that the pack of new fighters has trouble keepng up with, his mask feeding the information to his suit the moment his mind thinks of it, then the suit reacts dragiing his hand with the control stick in the required motion path and his other hand across the control dias faster than his body can react.

Soon they are in VFR of the other fighters Ludias having pulled a tight loop and ended up behind him, giving Bel' time to lock on with the quads.

Objective 1: Survive


Masses of Chaos fighters appear from all sides of the Tau and Dark Eldar fleet, each ship a foul daemonic craft seething with dark energies and bristling with strange and exotic weaponry. Several Chaos frigates and Assault Carriers also arrive from behind bearing the symbol of the Iron Warriors, they begin to move towards the small fleet of Tau and Eldar ships and open fire. What would of been utter annihilation is blocked by a arcane shield raised by the Farseer and Syrath while masses of Dark Eldar and Tau fighters engage the massed Chaos fleets, hundreds of fighter squadrons battling each other with incredible speed and fire power but lack any grace. While far outnumbered and gunned the Tau and Dark Eldar fight with true skill compared to the weak willed Chaos pilots and commanders.

Vindicare turbo penetrators. Oni engage venumum toxins are allowed engage. She jumps forward and fires her animus while readying her memory blades. Informaticus request report from the callidus where is she and does she have info?

(Cannot disengage....they are......blocking.....comms, there are too.....many for......me to..........fight.......assistance is needed....Help me)

The message cuts out as the Elitest troopers move forward and open fire again amd force the assassins back into cover.

Beltayn had had some experience with airborne and spaceborne combat before he had become a ranger but he was quietly impressed with Ludias' work, he had not know the man could pilot a craft so agilely, especially one so ill crafted as a Mon Keigh fighter. Beltayn continued to pelt the chaos fighters with accurate bursts of fire but he looked at the display, soon they would be out of ammo and that was going to be a problem.

"There are too many, we cannot take them all Storm." Beltayn informed him. "We will have to find another craft soon, we are running out of weapons to fight with and when that happens we will be sitting ducks." Beltayn stated as he blasted another Alpha legion fighter from the air as it tried to jink out of the way.

"There are simply too many targets." Beltayn said frustratedly.

"When has that ever been a bad thing?" Ludias asked. "Leave that to me, just make sure we get where we are going in one piece"

"And where are we going?" Hunter asked, stitching another two trailing razors with fire from his rear quads.

"You'll see." Ludias said simply as he took the bird into a barrel roll.

Ludias activates a docking clamp and primes it as they jink over the hull of a tau cruiser Ludias diverted the ammo feeds to Hunters quads to give the astartes extra security as he made a tight bank between a pair of raised turrets on the hull of the cruiser.

Three of the trailing ships were shredded by the ion cannon fire and Ludias grins as he hears a final two conformations from Hunter. His hand smooths the control column and the craft flips in an exageratted roll and he flicks the engines to full reverse burn bringing them to an abrupt halt inside the cruisers hangar.
Ludias kills the engines and raises the visor as the three snipers get out.

"Head for a barracuda. Hunter take a gunners position"

The sniper throws hunter the box that holds his armour as the trio strap themselves into a barracuda. Hunter taking the roomier gunners position as Bel' takes the aft burst cannon mounts. Ludias brings the pilot visor down over the trio as he begins flicking a series of command switches. He voices through the vox:
{This is Delta1.7.9 requisitioning the barracuda serial number... 185773, under the command of Shas'o Kais. Please keep the thunderbolt in your custody until I return. Clear the departure ramp activating full burn in 5 over and out}

The tau scramble out of the way as he depresses the burn command and the plasma engines pump the Barracuda out of the hangar. Ludias checks his radar and sets the feed into his mask and begins steering them back towards the supercarrier.

Ludias is about to reply when a quad of razors flit around behind them anouther quad in the back ground. Ludias feels the ripples from twin linked heavy bolters as they rip past the barracuda's view ports.
{Sorry commander change of plans, there are to many CF's out here for us to ignore, were gonna help the fleet out. over}

Ludias lets the CF's have a few more slit seconds on his tail before flippign the barracuda over and going into a reverse arial. The slim areodynamic fighter flipping around beneath the fighters in slow motions giving Hunter time to rake thier undersides with ioncannon shots tearing the quad apart.

Ludias brings the ship into a barrel roll evening out and letting the fighters bank to the left, he was ready for them and had lined the barracuda up. Hunter took 3 close bursts to splash the wing of fighters.

Several Chaos fighters come head on against the Barracuda, scoring a single hit but failing to case damage and in return are obliterated by plasma fire but more and more fighters begin to swamp the Tau and Dark Eldar forces.

Ludias pulls the Barracuda in a tight arc towards the nearest batch of combat and neatly inserts the Barracuda into the fray. Hunter and Bel' have thier work cut out for them as they have a multitude of targets but most end up splashed or redeemed against each other in the high tensile dogfight.

The Barracuda soon passes a Chaos frigate bearing a strange symbol on its prow, S.W printed in white and blue letters and under each is the real words but to small to see. The frigate opens fire forcing the Barracuda to make more defensive moves as Dark Eldar Ravens target the ships bridge.

"Engage now." Lotus jumps out of the shadows and starts the combat while the others join in. She fires her animus and jumps up under her the marine is sliced in half by oni while the rest of the enemy squad is pinned because of turbo penetrators being shot at them. Then venumum throws a little bottle. Everyone who even smells it is infected by it because it is a slow but effective death

Ice Heart and several other Dark Eldar Ravens and A Void Dragon conduct bombing runs on the exposed sections of the Chaos Frigate causing damage to several turrets and hangers but are unable to damage the bridge;

Can I have quick lowdown of whats going on please?

The Chaos fleet has surrounded the Tau and Dark Eldar ships and a massive battle has ensured, hundreds of fighters are battling.

The Chaos marines shrug of the attacks, they filter the poison though their helms and continue the attack only stopping to take cover from sniper fire.

Beltayn listened to the communique about the bridge...it was risky but he was sure that Ludias had the piloting skill and that Hunter had the accuracy to pull it off...that just left him with keeping their rear clear.

"Storm, we're clear back here, if we're making a run on the bridge, it should be now."

Just then a razor dipped into his firing arc and he fired as it passed through, nipping it on the right wing and sending it into a freefall.

"Splash one bogey, but more are on the way." Beltayn reported.

The Bridge communication is opened after various code breaking programs infiltrate the system;

"All units continue attacks until Carrier has entered the atmosphere....the Employers demand it. Failure results in doom, you have been warned. The Space Hulk must not be allowed to enter the main Battle fleet, defend the command ship."

The soulless and empty voice of the Techno Ship-master is almost disturbing but continues to air over the vox-channels.

If this is still open to new players, can Orks or Blood Angels join this?

If I use ork character, I promise I'm not gonna turn this into one big joke. Also, what's going on at the minute, I've tried to get an idea but I keep having to go further back and I cant read through 20 thread pages XD.

Just write up a profile. Its fine if you want to join, there are many places for Orks and Blood Angels or any other army left for the RPG and I'm happy for new players to join. Anyway Orks are always funny so feel free to make some Orky jokes

Edit( Well right now the Daemonic Employers have deployed hundreds of troops to defend a massive city sized Chaos fortress while a group of Tau, Dark Eldar and Snipers try to stop a Chaos troop transport from reaching the base and further reinforcing the Chaos armies. A stricken red Strike Cruiser with a white underbelly limps into Realspace above the raging space battle. It bears the image of a blood drop with white dragon wings: the emblem of the Dragons Encarmine. A massive, long, rusted Ork vessel, with a blotchy blue paintjob explodes into its wake, followed by a flotilla of smaller vessels and scrap metal.

Da 'Umies iz gittin' away boss!

Let 'em run, Grud. Da fighter's'll git 'em. Looks like we'z found us a propa fight! (Points to the engagement on the veiwport)

The Ork and Space Marine ship are instantly caught in a fire fight between a Chaos-Frigate that instantly opens fire with its multi-turrets and Las-Cannons but fail to cause major damage to the Ork Krusair or the Space Marine Battle Barge as it enters range, boarding torpedoes are launched and slam into the right side of the Ork Kruza;

"Boss dem Spiky boys got sum bordin dakka, we betta get da ladz and smash dem Spikeys ends in!"

"Shas'O the fighters have made progress and have been able to breach the main ring of attackers but cannot seem to get near to the command craft, we must disable that ship before it can make any more moves ag..."

The Ship shakes as two new craft enter the fray;

"New contacts, Imperial and Greenskin."

"Just focus on the command ship!" Kais orders. It seems that the two new sides are caught up with each other already."

"Well it seems like our chances of getting it have slightly improved, it's head this way! Activate all weapon battaries and concentrate all fire on that cruiser!"

The Tau ship comes closer to the massive Chaos Cruiser which opens fire but fails to break Syrath's shielding;

"Open fire dammit I can't hold the shield much longer!"

"All forces, fire your heavy weapons!"

Grud is the name of Snudrukk's current lapdog. His favourite oiler is called Dribbinz. This will now be Grud's Colour

The crafts shields begin to fall as the Tau and Dark Eldar mercilessly batter the ship with plasma and Dark Lance shots that bring down the shields allowing Void-Ravens to conduct bombing runs on the vulnerable ship.

The Orks show no mercy to the Chaos marines, even when boasted by Daemonic energy and power the Chaos marines fall to the many Ork Looters and Boys that pound them with their rockets and Blastas.

"Excellent, now we need to wait for the Ork and Space Marine ships to destroy each other before we move in to clear up. That is an order for all ships," Kais communicates. "For now, we need to get to the Space Hulk."

Ludias confirms and throws the Barracuda into a shallow roll, the ship lipping over the hull of the ship weaving in and out of projections on the hull and with his fingers madly scrambling over the weight dispensators he manages to get them through the maze of turrets and tentacles on the ships hull. His eyes rake over the surfaace of the ship until he spots the armoured viewport of the bridge. A single Terminator sdanding on the gantry. The massive shockmace carried by the Terminator seems to be alive with foul creatures that writhe all over the hull but Ludias ignores them lining up a fire window.

{Fire window on my mark, ready weapons.... 3... 2... 1... mark!}

Hunter lets rip with a flood of Ioncannon fire that rips the bridge apart obliterating the terminator and pretty much everything else in that doomed vessel's command bridge. Ludias rolls to the left and flicks on a full burn to escape the debris vacuum that cannonballs the contents of the ruined bridge into the void.

The bridge collapses in fiery blasts and the rest of the ship falls into Chaos, engines exploding and irrupting in explosions but a new threat appears. The Exploding Space-Hulk scatters derbies and roks in every direction while the largest are dragged towards the planet, life signs appear as several of the 'roks' crash into Chaos ships.

Snudrukk and his boarding party run riot through the dying Chaos ship. Grotz and Spanna Boyz collect spiky bitz as they go. Finding the engine room, Snudrukk smiles. He switches on his modifyed vox-caster.

Dis is da Big Mek. Send me droppshipz to da engine room. We'z found it.

Wot you want uz ta do, boss?

Give da shipz some space ta land. Spanna boyz, 'elp me ta get da plasma-gennarata loose!!

DA BIG BLUE GLOWY FING YA STOOPID RUNT!

Lootaz blast a hole in the side of the ship. Boyz and Grotz fly out of the hole. Snudrukk snaps up his Breathy Bubble Shield (Sorry to break character, but that's an atmospheric modulator). Everyone inside it hits the ground. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, the generator comes free. The Droppshipz fly in and drop some boyz off, before strapping up the genrator. Snudrukk and his party jump aboard, along with their loot. The Droppshipz take off and start flying the generator back to the Ork flagship, Da Rusty Toof.

(OOC) Its fine to break character to explain

The Orks leave the Chaos Frigate to the wrath of Dark Eldar who silence it with their own strange weapons and attacks, the Orks soon land back at the Rusty tooth with their loot and the Orks cheer at their bosses exploits and begin to make 'modifekations' to make it 'Orky' including a nice coat of Red paint.

Don't paint it yet boyz. I'z gonna gonna add it me "project." Get it down to da workstashun. Launch da roks, we'z gonna start landin, get some real fightin' done! Da boyz'll get smashing on da serfiss, dat's wot dey do best! I'll keep up 'ere and smash deez pointy ears and fish 'eads!

Roks go into full realspace drive, speeding towards the planet's surface. Many are shot to pieces by enemy fleets and many more by planetary defenses, but hundreds of orks' smash down on the planet surface, ready for battle.

The Impact cases a dizzy Mek to stumble out of the shattered rok along with horde of green skins and assortment of vehicles and cobbled together creations which emit large clouds of black smoke. The massed junk creations are confronted by a horde of Khornate Daemons and Berserkers that howl and scream praises to Khorne.

Skargaz looks out onto the massive Daemon horde. He grins as Roks crash into their ranks, crushing dozens Daemons at a time.

The Orks open fire on the Daemons, and they begin to drop. More Roks and landing craft make planetfall.
DA WAAAAGH!'S ON NOW, BOYZ

Bloodletters carve their way through many Orks but are swamped by their massed numbers, Khornate Bezerkers are covered in red blood as they slice and hack Orks apart but are crushed or blasted to red mist in return by the Orks savage and brutal creations while Juggernaghts go unopposed into combat only stopped by dog pilling Orks or Deff Dreads. Skargaz tears the head from the Chaos marine and slams it on to his pointy stick before push the lifeless corpse over and roaring Waagh! Once more.

Turn on da Shunta Shield!

A massive, red crackling shield spring up around the Ork flotilla. It moves in towards the planet, nearby ship being "shunted" out of the way. More droppshipz and landing craft are deployed, towards enemy ships and the planet's surface. Ork Fighters and Kill Kroozas disperse, harassing the enemy fleets as their comrades make planetfall. The Shunta Shield shuts down, a Deflekta Force Field springs up and Da Rusty Toof settles into low orbit.

While the main Ork craft are fairly successful in making it into low orbit many ships are heavily damaged or destroyed by Chaos and Dark Eldar attacks, the Daemonic hordes retreat leaving the Orks in a field of bloody red mist.

Background: The Dragons Encarmine are a successor of the Blood Angels via the Angels Encarmine. Early in their history, approximately half of the chapter went mad and turned to Chaos, sparking a massive war of attrition between the two halves of the chapter. Although the Gore Dragons were driven into the Warp, the Dragons Encarmine suffered terrible losses. They are now recovering, but still only have 600 Astartes divided between seven battle companies.
Eladius himself is Captain of the Fifth Company, and holds the title Master of Incursion. His chapter's main duty is to be at the vanguard of Dagon's invasion forces. As he enters the story, he and his Strike Cruiser, Wing of Fire have stumbled upon the Bluddtoff's vessel, Da Rusty Toof, and have come under heavy fire from the Ork flotilla.

The Dragon Encarmine begin to deploy onto the planet but soon begin to loose contact with ship as Iron Warrior AA-guns open fire with extreme precision are able to down several ships before they can land, several of the main ships bypass the ruthless attacks by releasing flayers and other heat creating devices. The Space Marines land in the barren area already surrounded by mobs of Daemons and Skulking Chaos marines and Cultists that kept their distance and watched quietly, a black shadow stands over the many Chaos marines. Its foul mechanical and bone form seems week but it’s obviously far more powerful than it seems.

The Chaos marine falls to the ground however the others continue a foul constant flow of fire power that forces the Assassins back inch by inch while the Sniper continues his attacks against the Chaos marines to no avail.

The Dragons deploy planetside, in three Thunderhawks and five Stormraven Gunships surviving. They carry with them all the company's tanks. They see the Chaos hordes.

By the Emperor, we are deceived! This area is crawling with Daemons and traitors!

Eladius' Thunderhawk drops him and 10 Draconic guard, five armed with Glaves Encarmine and five with twin Lightning Claws into the Traitor's havoks.

The Employer looks at the Space Marines and laughs, the foul thing flicked its long thin metallic arm it sends them flying back and forcing the captain towards it before raising it to its foul metal head. A single red crystal shaped eye sat in the middle of the strange helm that glowed with strange energy, it observed the Captain and snarled;

"Doom is upon you fool, your Corpse mounted on a golden chair will not save you now. Maybe I will mount your corpse on a throne and make a religion out of it myself shall I not? or would that not be heresy?"

Do not speak of the Emperor, vile Daemon! I will send you back into the Immaterium myself!

The Draconic Guard attack the Employer's minions, and Eladius slashes at him with his claws. He pushes the reeling Daemon back, his jump-pack flaring and propelling him upwards.

Taste His cleansing fire, Daemon!

Planted melta charges wrack the Daemon's body, but he laughs and grabs the Captain as he descends

Brother-Captain!

A Guard hits the Daemon in the head with his Glaive, the Employer drops Eladius and pulls the Guard's head from his body.

The Employer lets out a screech and roars some evil daemonic worlds, the Word Bearers in the Chaos Hordes move forward carrying strange weapons and blades and a single Apostle points towards the Captain;

"Heresy! Remove this filth!"

The Chaos marine open fire while the Employer rains down psychic bolts.

Ludias brings the barracuda round and back to the fleet, signalling the shas'o he calls:
{Shas'o. you need to evacuate, the position is untenable. Orks have landed on the planet and their crude fighters are choking the space around the planet. We need to find a new position from which to attack from over}

The Employer strikes Eladius down again, and strikes him repeatedly on the armour. It seems he is done for, but as the Daemon comes in for the killing blow, Eladius' eyes go blood red, as do his lightning claw blades. He slices the Employer, leaving massive gashes all over his body. He then picks the Employer, and throws him into the throng of daemons.

Engines are heard. A pure-white Stormraven with red crosses painted on its doors zooms in overhead, blasting at the Daemons with its ssault cannon and missiles. It swoops in low, and delivers ten white-armoured Death Company armed with power swords and a Chaplain into the fray.

(Chaplain) You shall feel the pain of retribution, Daemons!

The Death Company charge into the horde, vanquishing Daemons with every slash of their swords.

A Chaos Havoc group takes position and spots the Storm Raven, the commander points towards the ship and the Havocs open fire. The Raven spins out of control and begins to crash, the ship slams into the main area of the Space Marine compound.

Syrath fell to his back, his energy had been drained after creating that shield, even in the Eye he was weak. He stumbled drunkenly and balanced himself on a power core and hissed, life was hard.

The Captain and Draconic Guard bail out, activating their jump packs before the final impact. They make it back to the Company base.

The wreck of a dark red Stormraven is buried in the ground. It is rusted and half-buried. A massive emblem with a black blood drop and red wings is inscribed on the side door.

The Gore Dragons... here?

Next to it lies a Khorne Bezerker, the warriors crimson armor is cracked and broken and the helms eyes are both missing. The Shoulder pads have been torn from the arms and a long steel blade impales the Khornate Warrior, the work of an Employer no doubt as few creatures could do this to an Apdeptus Astartartes. It soon becomes apparent that the Gore Dragons had some run in with the Employers, the broken helms and equipment of the Space Marines lie littered and buried under the tainted dirt of this world.

The Orks soon flee as the Dark Eldar slice their ships apart in seconds with Dark Lances forcing them back while the Tau open fire with Plasma weapons that incinerate any Ork Projectiles or ships, a black Shadow soon appears near to the Ork ships and tears inside and confronts the Ork Kaptin.

On-World, Skargaz and his invasion force are in full-blown battle with the daemons, and he sees the SM birds flying overhead.

The Green tide surges forward, hacking and slashing at the massive Chaos horde as their vehicles speed onwards.

A massive Exalted Daemon Prince of Khorne swoops down from the sky, its feet replaced by Eagle like talons and its head a Dragon like skull that's are blood red. It points its massive scimitar towards the Orks and screams a dreaded praise to Khorne.

Ludias brings the Barracuda around and back to the cruiser where his thunderbolt is, a quick change of vessel and a hop back to the command ship later and he is heading towards the command center with Bel' and Hunter in tow. His new ship in the hangar below....

Syrath watched as the Snipers returned, Eldar. Foul memories of a long lost life, his former life. He despised his thoughts but also cherished them, even for such a dark, inhuman, evil mind Syrath still longed for a life of peace not war but he pushed these memories back. He was Syrath, glorious saint of Chaos Undivided. Not some pansy peace seeking Eldar, after this his reign of terror would begin. Dammed Employers, the backstabbing traitors would beg him for mercy. They would Indeed.

Dat's wun big zoggin' bat! Zog 'im boyz!

30 Stormboyz fly up to the Prince, and are ripped limb from limb in one slash. Bullets lash off of him, but they simply bounce off.

'It 'em wiff da Zzzap Gunz!

Dozens of Zzzap Gunz blast the Daemon. He stumbles slightly, screams fanatically then flies over to the Zzzap Gunz, breaking every single one. Nobz rush him, and he guts them all.

I'ze gittin outta 'ere!

Ludias drew up a chair. And sank into it slowly, his mind was tired, and his body needed sleep. He had been awake for 56 hours and it was beginning to take its toll on even his enhanced biome. He looked wearily around the room to the Shas'o and saw a similar level of fatigue. Bel' of course looked the same as he always did. Nothing ever seemed to phase him. And Hunter... Hunter was hard to read with that darned helmet on him all the time. He could be wilting in that armour and Ludias wouldnt even know.

Storm turned to the assembled delegates again and casually stuck his feet up on the table, leaning back in his chair for a long awaited nap.

Beltayn watched the viewport and saw the fleets still clashing as the Tau retreated, he sighed. There was a saying in the Mon Keigh Imperial Guard about battle. "One day nearer the battle is another day nearer the grave." It said. Beltayn wasnt a pious being but he knew when to say thank you, he'd just lived through a battle in the Eye of Terror and come through relatively unscathed. For that he bowed his head, his hand clutching his soulstone amulet. He whispered a few words and then just like that, it was done and he went about his business.

He found a crate to sit on and began to maintain his rifle with a near obsessive particularity. After a few minutes he looked up and noticed that Ludias had found a table and seat and was now asleep. Beltayn chuckled silently as he felt his own fatigue. Beltayn reached onto his belt and pulled out a flask, unscrewing it and whiffing its contents, it was a rare elixir made by his kind to aid in doing what he was about to do. He took a sip, just a small draught, fro that was all that was needed and relaxed his sitting until he was seated, eyes closed, arms crossed , and legs folded.

He was not asleep by any human standards for his people did not sleep in the same way that humans did. If any human word could be used for what Beltayn was now doing it would be meditating. And so he sat there in that restive position, until someone summoned him or he detected a threat.

Kais watched Ludias fall asleep, and Bel, well, he knew Eldar never really slept, they were always in a constant state of awareness, but could still reap the benefits of "sleep".

He wanted to rest, dearly he did, but he was the Shas'O, the commander, he couldn't rest. He had orders to give, and tactics to plan.

Sometimes he hated his job, but he liked the power.

Ludias woke after a short time, his body never let him sleep for extended periods, but to a large degree it diddnt need to.

He motioned for the commander to come over and when the Tau approached Ludias shook his hand warmly.
"I will be heading down to the hangars soon to work on my ship. The thunderbird is more my style than anything you could provide so instead of requesting a ship I meerly require the materials to create this one to my requirements. If you can make these materials available to me then my service under you will continue until our predetermined time.

He pauses here taking a breath and releasing the Tau's hand.

"I dont need much, only a quantity of whatever alloy you have on board for working on space craft and a jump drive similar to the ones you use in your ships, or at the least access to the one aboard this ship so that I can reverse engineer it."

"Of course, whatever you need, seeing as how you have proved yourself to be very valuable. I thank you once again for your services, even with payment."

Coraks is not as large as other Daemon Princes as he achieved daemonhood through a series of mutations and blessings from Khorne over the course of a millenium. However, as a devotee to the Blood God he is still immensely strong. Visually he resembles a large winged Bloodletter. He mounts a strong bone like armour carapace along with the remains of his mutated and twisted Tactical Dreadnought armour.
Personality and Traits

Coraks is quick to anger and has little time for cowards and traitors and will execute them without a second thought. His anger and complete and utter to devotion to Syrath can cause psychotic rage that is filled by the Rage of Khorne and the devotion to tare the enemies of Syrath apart.

Doom Glaive: A Daemon Weapon forged in the great forges of Syrath's Realm. Corak’s replaced his lighting claws with Death's Glaive which has granted him increased strength. The great sword was re-forged apon Coraks' ascension to Daemonhood. It is said to contain the essence of a Tzeentchian Greater Daemon which was forcefully bound to Death's Glaive by Syrath himself.
Rage’s Heart: A Daemonic twin linked Bolter. Rage’s Heart is a heavily modified Mark IV Boltgun. It had several specialised attachments but was abandoned on an unknown battlefield after Coraks' ascension.

Armour

Armour of the Spectre: Ancient Heresy-Era terminator armour which was said to be blessed by Syrath himself, giving Corak’s amazing defences. Most of the armour was destroyed after he transformed into a Daemon Prince. However some remnants melded with his daemonic flesh forming the Armour of the Cursed.
Armour of the Cursed: What remains of Corak's Armour of the Spectre has formed into the Armour of the Cursed. It is an unholy mixture of daemonic bone, reinforced Adamantine, strengthened Cermite and warp energy. Coraks flesh is almost impossible to pierce by using mortal weapons, requiring incredibly powerful blessed blades just to pierce it. It also provides relatively good protection against psychic attacks.

Daemonic Gifts

Daemonic Flight: Coraks was gifted with as massive wings, which have been adorned with skulls and unholy charms. Coraks' wings allow him to fly across the battle.
Daemonic Strength: After his ascension Coraks was gifted with extreme strength by his patron god, making him an exceptionally powerful individual.
Mark of Khorne: As a follower of Khorne he naturally bears the Blood God's mark.
Talisman of Syrath: A gift from his Daemonic ally, before his ascension. It provides Coraks with a heightened defense to unnatural attacks.

Artifacts

Helm of Icrus: This item once belonged to the Imperial Saint Icrus. He had been felled by a Daemon on the eve of the Emperor's internment into the Golden Throne. To the shock of the daemonic entity, Icrus' body began to twitch and his form was lifted into the air by a mysterious golden light. Icrus brought his now charged blade to the Greater Daemon which had slain him and then preceded to slice the Daemon in twain. Icrus led a glorious campaign against the forces of Chaos until his demise at the hands of Coraks. It was a tremendous battle which resulted in Coraks suffering grievous wounds. Icrus' body mysteriously vanished after he was struck by Coraks' unholy blade, leaving behind only an enchanted helmet. Coraks claimed it for himself as a trophy and he frequently has it slung around his neck.
Tyrants Maw: Coraks and the 1st War Legion battled Hive Fleet Kraken on Keron , after months of fighting the Tyranid Hive ships were destroyed and the world saved from consumption. Before bombing of Tyranid infested areas Coraks personally slayed the Alpha Tyrant. After beheading the beast he removed its jaw and now wears it around his neck.

Coraks roars again but this time black and red flames pour from his maw that incinerate Orks within seconds of being set alight, he rises into the air and dives down towards the Ork leaders with a bloody fury. Screaming and roaring he crashes into the green and red tide and swings his blade around into the masses of Orks and Daemons around him caring not at all for his allies.

The Employer moves towards the Orks and lifts the entire bridge crew, the windows of the bridge begin to crack and shake;

"I hope...you understand....what will happen....if you.....try to....stop....me"




Luidias enters the Hanger, a area with Several Devil-Fishes and Hammer-Heads which require repairs and the Thunder-Bolt. Hunter sits next to the Thunder Bolt and waves to the approaching Luidias and bows to him, he hands him a large Holo-pad giving him details of the repairs and modifications needed to keep the Thunder-Bolt running;

"I love machines, so did my Legion until I well. Destroyed eight Thunder-Hawks after I tripped over a mine connected to several explosives near the fuel cells, blasted Daemons and their ticks. I can see you their ma....Syrath what do you want."

Syrath slumps down from the crate and un-cloaks, his form has vaguely changed into a bird like reptile with the robes of a Lord of Change;

"I'm here to assist you, the ship may need some extreme repairs. I'd suggest this."

Syrath hands Luidias a incredibly small piece of dust that appears to be a shade of gold;

WOT YA DOIN TA ME ZOGGIN SHIP YAH BLOODY CREEP?

A grot smacks the switch to activate the ships' Breathy Shield.

TAKE DIS YAH ZOGGIN RUNT!

He pulls out a heavily modified shoota. It fires a bombardment of bullets, lasers and rockets at the Daemon. The Employer strides through the bombardment

ZOG IT (into vox) GET UP 'ERE YAH GITZ! 'OO'EVER GETS ME DAT FING'Z 'EAD GETZ ME BIGGEST GUN!

Cargo lifts full of Boyz shoot up to the bridge.

The Employer raises its arms and slams the Orks into the walls of the bridge and begins to tare plates of metal, weapons and even used bullet shields around it forming a storm of metal and a danger to any who approach it.

Ludias looks blankly at the dust.
"Im not even sure if I want to know what this is. But Ive never seen it before, you may as well tell me"

Badsnikk charges towards the Employer. He feints a punch, then slaps a handfull of bombs to his chest, and slides along the floor, then shoots the bombs. The explosion sends the Daemon reeling

Four Stormravens shoot through the skies, and approach the battle between the Orks and Daemons. Finding the Daemon Prince, they circle him, giving a wide berth

The assault cannons on the command Raven fire glowing blue modified rounds towards the Daemon

The Employer shrugs of the attack and grabs a unsusespecting Ork with it's teleknesis and snaps its neck before turning to the Warboss, the glass shatters behind it, it leaves with no trouble as steel plates cover the missing windows.

Coraks roars amd jumps atop one of the Storm Ravens and plunges his blade into the cockpit alowing the vehicle to crash and burn, the Daemon prince roars in fury and flees, a strange move for a Daemon of Khorne.

What just happened? Why is he retreating? Follow him, don't let him escape! (To Vox) Open channel to all members of the 5th Company, rally to my position and hunt down this accursed Daemon! Any Astropaths in the region, relay this message to Chapter Command and the Inquistion: The Gore Dragons live, this world is overrun with Chaos and Greenskins, this may call for -

The three remaining Ravens chase the Prince across the sky. Three Ork Fightas follow the Ravens, and gun one of them down. The other two maneuver out of the way, and shoot down the Fightas.

He gives Syrath and Hunter the Dimensions for several sheets of the alloy provided and the curvature required. While the two work he sets about upgrading the internal electical and subdermal systems

"Excellent"

Syrath smiles as he reads over the alloy instructions for the materials needed with Hunter, Syrath begins cutting the right shapes with his un-natural blades and quickly builds up a pile of metal sheets and ships parts. Hunter assists him by correcting any small mistake and adding holes for bolts or wiring while Luidias retrofits the Thunder-Bolt that is suspended by 'bubble' of anti-gravity.


The Daemon Prince Speeds off, dodging the massed fire from the Storm Ravens and diving into black clouds and emerging forcing the Storm Ravens to scatter and reform several times until they see it. The Chaos fortress....


The Massive sprawling fortress is protected by fields of Sentry Guns and Mines, each wall is miles long and have gun and sniper towers mounted atop of them. The outer areas of the fortress are guarded by Hundreds of Chaos marines of the Iron Warriors and World Eaters while Anti-Air guns sit tightly amongst the armored columns of Predators and Defilers awaiting to be set loose, in the center of the fortress lies several massive spires that tower into the skies and are protected by wave after wave of Chaos furies and at the top of the fortress sit the Employers; each a foul creature dedicated to one of the Dark Gods.

Ludias looks over the sheeting and nods his head slowly.
"I think thats everything."

He then starts to take the cladding off of the thunderbolt and begins to weld the new plates into place, bolting and riveting the parts together the Thunderbolts new chassis takes form. It is more streamlined than its previous incarnation and its armour is slightly thicker. But the ships engines have been modified by the sniper to have an output slightly greater than normal. Just enough for the ship to feel right under his control. He then starts work on the interior, retrofitting three seats into the ship. A pilots seat, a copilot and a rear facing gunner as well. The threeman ship was about 15 metres from nose to tail, its wingspan about that length as well. The engines tucked under the wings were next to a quad of missle clamps which Ludias had yet to fill, Along the nose were a set of 4 holes infront of a mounting bracket for quads. Ludias fully indended to make use of the Tau technology aboard the vessel to design new weapons for the ship. And nestled infront of the engines and slightly beneath the quad mounts were a pair of mounts for a heavy weapons system. Finally a rear mounted set of holes for anouther weapon system as yet undecided for the rear gunner was mounted. Ludias was just finishing up as he prepared to head down to the engineering decks to get a look at the Tau jump drive.

The Tau jump drive is Guarded by White Helmeted Elite Fire Warriors bearing multiple Chaos marine kill marks on their shoulder pads, several even have small trinkets taken from defeated enemies and pictures of their many allies under Shas'O Kais command. They salute Luidias and Hunter but step back from Syrath who ignores them completely, a Tau scientist approaches them and bows;

"Honorable Sniper Luidias we have been expecting your arrival, the jump drive is at full working capacity and under the orders of veteran Shas'O Kais we have enforced extra security around this area."

"Understandable honored fire warriors. I meerly wish to see the drive itself so that I may reverse engineer it. Is this acceptable?"

"Yes that is fine"

The Tau Fire-Warriors allow assess to the Jump Drive.

Ludias looks over the dimensions of the Drive for several minutes as well as the power sources and other bits and bobs. His mind whirrs through several possible solutions to his task and he settles on the one he like the idea of best. Thanking the Tau he heads back to the hangar and begins accumulating pieces of scrap alloy and collating the into a large pile which he has, smelted down and reset in a single sheet about 3 metres by 2 metres and about 2 cm thick. With Syrath and Hunters help he makes several smaller panels and cylinders and begins welding them all together. Other materials and doodads are added until the drive is complete. Ludias knows that the power required from the drive is immense, but he has scaled down the drives power. 30 minute hops with the power to transport the ship and three passengers + cargo greatly reduces the power requirements from the flagship + hundreds of passengers and crew etc etc. Indeed Ludias only has to make a single cold fusion power cell. Which he installs into his ship. The cell itself was only about 30 cm in diameter and easily installed into the ship, it was also powerful enough to feul not only the drive but the ship itself as well. Eliminating the need for feul.

Finally his mind turned to weaponry.

"Oh ho ho here's were the real fun begins doesn't it? What shall you be giving this fine piece of art, now I'm not saying bigger is better but I'd be lying. It is, I'd suggest whatever can fit on the ship. Seriously just glue guns to the wings and hope it fires when your surrounded by seven Inquisition fleets at full strength with only a Hell talon, care to guess who won? It will surprise you it will indeed."

Ludias skakes his head slowly.
"You offend me daemon, I am not an ork."

He gets together what he needs, two sets of quads, some tau plasma rifles, 8 hellstrike missles and a pair of lascannons. Then he sets to work. By deconstructing the Plasma rifles and then reengineering them onto the quads he ends up with a quad of auto cannons fore and aft that are super sharged with plasma explosive rounds. The Helstrike missles are dissasembled and he puts lines of his own blend of explosives into the missles, 4 lines to be exact and each is a different explosive. So when a missle hits it simoultanelously penetrates armour, implodes the area directly infront of the missle, explodes the area around it and sets the whole lot alight in Promethium flames. He calls them. Deathtouch missles.

The lascannons are a dilemma for him. He would hate to destroy such amazing pieces of artwork but his mind already knows how to improve them. With some small alterations he ends up with a pair of tribarreled lascannons which, when fired out into space on a test fire, rapidly pulsed out 35 lascannon shots a second.

An old Chaos Drop-Ship taken from the Ice-Fields of Fenris from the War of the Wolf and the Daemon is the target of the many Las-Cannon shots, it's dark blue hulk shatters and it's Scarab shape becomes a pile of rubble, Dark Eldar arrive to see what else will be target practice while others arrive with Dark Lances and Blasters.

Ludias grins
"Now thats a heavy cannon]

He looks over the ship one last time before nodding to his two aids.
"Spot of Black paint and she'l be ready I think."

The three paint the ship black and Ludias gets some white paint and along the nose he paints in careful calligraphic strokes.

"Endgame"

In his meditative state, Beltayn tries to clear his mind, for a good many moments it is pristine, and he enjoys the clarity of which he can think...

It began with a whisper...just a small whisper on the edge of his hearing, then more came, two or three voices speaking at once, all whispering something and nothing, then more voices came until his mind was filled with the roar of the whispers. Clouds appeared, wind began to flow. Thunder and lightning flashed, something twisted had entered his mind and had no control over what it said or did. He tried to back away, to wake up but found that he could not, his mind became a swirling madness of voices and shrill, howling wind, overlayed by thunder and flashes of energy. What was this presence? What was it doing to him? Did he have control of his body or was he now in the complete control of this thing?

It rose, like a fiery shadow, ten times the height of a man and stared at him with baleful, blazing eyes. He backed away, unable to get himself away from its presence. The shadow reached for him, he was unable to get away. It grabbed him in its monstrous clutches and brought him closer to its beastly face. Beltayn could see it now, the shadow was revealed to be an Employer, it grinned at him with a mouth full of razor sharp, shark like teeth.

"You cannot escape the darkness." It hissed. "It will devour you and your friend, there is no escape." It began to laugh, its voice becoming unnatural and daemon-like, it opened its maw and slowly, Beltayn was shoved into the blackness.

He snapped awake, back in the hangar, unmoved, though the memory made him bolt upright and fall off of his perch with a gasp. Nobody was around to see it but Hunter was in the far corner near the door. Beltayn picked himself up and leaned against a wall, he squinted his eyes, the dream had been so real and yet the laughter, the hideous laughter had yet to fade in his ears. He staggered forward, remembering the daemon's promise. He got to Hunter.

"Where is Ludias?" He asked wearily.

"He went to the jump drive to work on his new ship." Hunter said simply. "Is something wrong?"

"Perhaps." Beltayn said remembering the horrid form of the daemon. "I fear we may soon be in danger." He said as he went through the door and headed for the jump drive room.

Soon...

Soon enough each of them would feel the wrath of the Employers....

But they needed the Eldar...

To fur-fill the grand plan...

But patience was vital...

Cut of the head and the body would die....

It turned to the Tech-Lord who bowed and raised his head;

"My lord what do you wish of me?"

It turned, its real form would require far more power. For now the Employers were weakened.

The attack of that Space Wolf had weakened them severely.

But soon they would be whole again.

"The Eldar, bring him to us and kill Luidias. He is of no further use to us anymore and should be disposed off quickly and silently with no noise, my brothers may have some regrets about my actions."

Beltyan arrives at the Jump-Drive storage finding that Luidias is no longer there but experiences another agony inducing Employer message.

Ludias sees Bel' come through the doors jsut after the final coat of Paint. He notices the grim set about Bel's features and decides to greet the Eldar before letting him vent, give that massive Eldar brain anouther thing to think about to ease his stress.

"Just in time Brother, She's ready she is, well be taking a test flight soon, if you wanted to join us you would be quite welcome. That is if we arnt all ensconced in some command center because of whatever news your about to give me..."

He frowns slightly.

"What is it like Eldar, that foul voice inside your head? Experienced that every hour after the fall till now, one nasty migraine that is. But nothing compared to her voice when I write on her helmet."

The Farseer enters the Hanger, her armor changed from the corrupt one to that of a traditional Farseers but a rude symbol painted in black on her helm. She raises her staff and angrily points towards Syrath;

"You foul thing!"

"Speek of the Devil, must go chaps."

Syrath warps out of the room with the Farseer following.

Ludais laughs quietly, You coming or not Bel'?

Beltayn is at a loss of what to do for a moment...he takes a few seconds to compose himself after the things that have run through his head.

"Yes...Yes I suppose I shall come. Perhaps this news would be better talked about to all those it concerns." He says as he follows Ludias...

Hunter jumps into the gunner set and mounts the main turret;

"Excellent, wonder if there are still any Chaos marines to be sent to the slaughter!"

"Be silent!" Beltayn snaps out loud, causing Ludias and Hunter to look at him. Beltayn's eyes dart.

"Excuse me, this proximity to the warp has been...affecting me...somewhat." He says nervously before boarding the ship.

'Give me some time, I need some time before I grant you an audience, you must wait...as a gesture of good faith, do not berate my mind or threaten my friend until I am ready.' He thinks aloud in his mind.

Ludias waits until the pair are strapped in before linking his suits systems with Endgame. The ship would now not only repond to Ludias's hand movements but also his mind. This linking would allow him to pilot the ship with even greater skill than before.

He closes the cockpit visor mentally and flicks the ships engines on. A gentle hum ripples through his body which relaxes him somewhat.

{Last chance to back out now lads, I'm not responsible if this thing desintegrates the moment we leave the hangar. I dont think it will but there you go.}

"Nothing is happening right now sir, the Ork ship is still not making any moves, and Ludias and the others are just trying to help make his ship. You could take some time to rest sir, we'll call if if anything comes up," Mont'yr nods.

"Really? Then thank you, my friend, I have gone for too much time without sleep, I suppose its time I caught up."

(Well the Vox system is fairly difficult to use here since its interrupted by Chaos Transmissions and attempeting to leave will probably end in complete destruction and is almost Impossible for Chaos ships themselves to do.)

Ludias flicks of all of the switches and pushes the pilots visor up, the other two understand his haste having heard his message. Ludias doesnt wait he sprints to see Kais and relay the happenings.

Hunter jumps out of his gunner set and moves towards Luidias and puts his hand on the Snipers shoulder;

"We've had trouble with Space Marines before, Marine called Argosh killed an Inqusitor just because she accepted a vital alliance that stopped the destruction of the Cadian Gate. Their arrogance is great, even greater than their dedication to the Emperor."

Ludias rips his shoulder out of Hunters grip and growls softly
"Do not tell me to forsake sons of the emperor, If they cannot be trusted then I will shoot them myself but we must at least give them a chance. I know your story, If you were not given anouther chance where would you be today?"

He keeps running

"Syrath, get me that piece if the Emperors armour when we meet them. Eat it and then we'll see if they want to challenge us. Luidias I'll talk however I want about the greatest farce in the blooming universe, seriously I'm not even a man anymore. I'd rather not associate with them, at all. They betrayed me to the warp, they left me to rot. Scum."

By the Emperor, what are those things? Whirlwinds and Vindicators, begin your bombardments!

Why would he be under the command of Tau? I suppose we can't pick and choose our allies. Vox them again. Tell them we'll provide them with air support if we can use their ship as refuge. I don't like this, but we're desperate.

"Ahh!"

A Space Marine falls as one of the creatures grabs the Marines head and tears his head from it's body, the Creature falls as a Veteran who emptys a round of Bolter fire that rips the foul thing apart. It's head rolls towards the Captain who picks it up, the symbol of the Inqusition painted on it's fore head. The others begin to flee or run as the Vindicators tare the beast apart within seconds. 

Inquisition... they already tried to investigate this planet... Start packing up, we need to be ready when D179 contacts us again, and we need to move before we are attacked again. That voxcast advertised our position. We just have to hope they get here soon.

Ludias tells the Shas'o about the events and then gets back into his ship, taking Hunter and Bel' with him he hits the full burn and then once out into the space around the cruiser activates the jump drive, dropping them into the atmosphere above the Space marines. Hunter stitches a line of Lascannon fire through the ranks of Daemons/ Mutants/ whatever and Bel' tears them to shreds with the rear quards as they boost past.

{This is D179 in your airspace assistance is present, call a vector path on your required target over}

D179, please focus on eliminating these mutants and then escort our dropships into orbit. Do we have permission to board the Tau spacecraft?

"This is Shas'O T'au Kais, in command of the fleet above the Eye of Chaos," Kais communicates calmy. "I am been told of your position, and though I am wary of the trust between us, I am willing to give you aid. I will alloy your troops haven on my ships, and we will assist you in the forthcoming battles. Does this please you?"

Thank you Kais, we are very grateful. D719, please escort our Gunships into orbit. I look forward to meeting you gentlemen

Sir, we've picked up on multiple contacts heading this way, ork fighters, dozens of them

(Sighs) Nothing can ever go smoothly

Ork Fighters are made short work of by Luidias flight skills and Hunters fire power which rips them apart while the Space Marine transports are given cover in order to enter the Tau craft.

"We can deploy fighters to engage them in combat. I look forward to seeing you."

Thank you, Kais. A few days down there and we would have been overrun. We would be happy to wait here, but after resupplying we will need to call in reinforcements. There's... there's something down there, something we need to deal with before it can spread...

Syrath appears, the Daemon smirking coldly with Hunter at its side, the Marine pushes the Daemon back and moves towards the Captain;

"They are called the Children, the Inquisitions answer to replace you. Children filled with drugs and steroids to create a far greater Space Marine, immune to the temptations of Chaos entirely. Still the Inquisition and the entity of the Imperiums command is a farce and has failed to do much in the past few years, Syrath remember that command I gave you about the speak of the Emperors armor? Do it now"

It will be a old favorite of mine Shas and Marta might remember, Galaxy at War. It may not be for awhile but I've begun writing the background and hope you will join it when it is launched.

Ludias stops the daemon with a look.
"First tell me what that thing is going to do."

He looks at the Blood angels.
"Sorry about my... associates. I cannot vouch for the Daemon and the Chaos marine has repented, although he doesnt appear to be fond of you. I would reccommend tolerating the Daemon. From what I can understand he appears to be impossible to kill and wont harm you unless provoked.

My name is Ludias Storm, otherwise known as D179, I was piloting the ship that saved your asses. No thanks required. Its a job thats paying well. Ill get along with you all if you dont irritate me."
He steps away calmly eyeing the Daemon with his hand on his sword.

"I was going to eat this dust, probaly would have been sick though must gentlemen. Things to do, lots andnlots of things to do."

Syrath quietly humms a tune as he backs away Luidias and the Space Marines through a large doorway and runs quickly before warping away.

I am a captain of the Adeptus Astartes, how dare you speak to me in such an insolent tone! I suggest you watch your tongue in future or I shall remove it from you! What is going on here? Bad enough we had to conspire with Xenos, you have roped us in with ex-traitors and Daemons? Who are you, Ludias?

Beltayn steps forward from behind Ludias before anything else can say anything. He looks up at the space marine, glaring at him coldly with both eyes. His hand flashes to the scabbard on his back and pulls the glowing sabre from it, he holds it in a stance, point forwards toward the Captain, ready to strike.

"Your next words decide whether I remove your head from your soldiers where you stand, so choose them wisely." He growls lowly. "You will speak to my friend and I with the same respect we have given you or you will not speak at all! You Mon' Keigh warriors are all the same...pigheaded, blind, arrogant, stupid. As for who we are, we are the ones who just saved you and your men from certain death, and trust me, my employer can easily turn his saving graces into wrath and that includes this sword as well. The traitor that you refer to is just that, an ex-traitor, the daemon is a prisoner whether he wants admit it or not. Together we are the vanguard of the forces of Shas O' Kais, continue to insult my friend and feel my wrath, apologize and we can go back to a working relationship."

As Beltayn draws his sword, the Company react quickly, every man raising a gun or drawing a weapon.

On your order, Captain...

Eladius glares at the Eldar, his lightning claws crackling. A long time passes, then Eladius stands down, and waves his marines down.

I hate this. Tau and Eldar I could have stood, but Daemons... Perhaps this is better than the alternative...

He glares at Ludias

Thank you for rescuing us. I would prefer if you would address me with some respect next time. We will talk later.

He storms off, with the other marines in tow.

Hunter coldly laughs at the Imperial Captain and shows the piece of the Emperors armour to his face and crushes it before dropping the dust;

"Your foolishness will be your end captain, I believe that you should realise that no Emperor will save you here. This is the front door to the Warp, and if you wish to irritate those who inhabit it. Do so at your own risk, Syrath keep an eye on the Captain for me will you."

Kias had been listening in to the newcomers arrival ever since the first word.
He wondered why they all had to quarrel so much? He tried to maintain a calm state of mind at all times.

He sighed.

"Hunter, please bring the Captain and his Warriors up to the bridge please."

Eladius spins around and his claws crackle

Why do you suffer this Daemon? We should kill him now! And if you have truly repented, why do speak in such ways about the Emperor?

"Because he is useful and I am redeemed from Chaos and the Emperor, your ignorant lies will only lead you to death, it seems the Shas'O wishes to see you."

Eladius follows Hunter to the bridge in silence.

Greetings, Shas'O. I thank you for your hospitality and patronage, but I do not... *Glances at Hunter* ... entirely approve of the company you keep. Prehaps you are simply driven by necessity as I have been...

Hunter nods to the Incubi who leave the room as the Space Marines enter, he places his Sniper on his back and sits in his command chair on the right side of the bride.

"Sir the Chaos Carrier has entered the Atmosphere, carrying over one thousand life forms on board. Possibly reinforcements for the Fortress stationed marines, our scans have found that the ships bears the insignia S.W. No records Imperial, Chaos and Tau anything has any information on this symbol. The Bridge has been transmitting a single to the planet consonantly to the fortress on a secure signal and we've been trying to crack it."

Ludias Is mildly amused by the Posturing of the Space Marines. Always ready for a fight but not truly comprehending the odds. Lightning claws be damned his pistol would have immobilised the fool before he could swing.

Ludias sits down next to the captain and Bel' next to him.
"In my defense captian I did not know of your rank. Additionally perhaps you may show respect to the one who as even you say. Saved your life? Usually I am a humble man Captain. But this place has jaded me and I would rather make allies than enemies"

"And I am no prison I am the great Syrath, maybe you've heard of me? I destroyed three Star-systems, what a party. I also battled good old Marius and some Karsking named uh?.....I forget but still I do have blade fragments from when he plunged it into my neck."

Syrath rubs his neck while Hunter frantically types codes into the Tau computers;

"I'm getting a transition, between the Employers and the Daemon you encountered earlier Captain."

Who are they talking about?

The underside of Da Rusty Toof detaches from the rest of the ship and hurtles towards the planet's surface, followed by a massive landing craft from Da Bluddy Dagga. Thy crash land near to the Ork forces on the planet. The fighting has abated, and the Orks have begun building a fort out of scrap and broken vehicles. The two craft crash to the ground.

Dis looks promisin'

The massive pod from Da Rusty Toof breaks open like an egg, and Snudrukk's "Project:" A Gargant, hundreds of feet tall, emerges. Snudrukk pops out of the hatch on the top.

(Through a massive amplifier) Hey boyz! I'm da biggest boss dere iz 'ere now!

The Orks cheer, but Skargaz, the boss of the Orks on the ground, screams back, without an amp

DEZE IZ MY BOYZ! DIS IZ MY PLANET! DIS IZ ME WAAAGH!

Snudrukk laughs, then the Gargant stomps on Skargaz, squashing dozens of Orks under its foot in the process.

Now dat's over, LET'Z GO SMASH SOME SPIKEEZ!

The Gargent shakes as a Employer approaches, its armor crested with horns and decorated with symbols of Chaos. It fires a bolt of purple plasma directly at the Gargent causing it a great deal of damage before setting fire to the Orks beneath it, the sinister thing then turns its attention back to the Ork Leader.

Beltayn's eyes widen at the message and he raises his voice for all to hear.

"We have run into a trap! Shas O', prepare the ships to repel boarders!"

The others look at him strangely.

"Is there something you aren't telling us, Bel?" His friend asks...Beltayn falters for a moment before speaking lowly to Ludias.

"Its the Employers...while I was resting they came to me...they want me for something...I don't know..." He takes a deep breath and exhales...it is a strange feeling for him to be this worked up but the matter is something close to his heart. "They want me to hand you over to them, they want you dead. I didn't know how to make them stop...so I told them to give me some time...it appears my time is up, they have come to take me."

Chapter 3: Time's Up!

"Yes we have."

The Employers appear on every Tau-Vid screen, two of the four with no emotion. The first Employer moves forward;


"We seek one Eldar, if you give us this Eldar none of you will be harmed. I will give you 30 minutes to had him over to our 'Ambassador' who will arrive in the Hanger once the time is up. We hope you make the right decision. His name is Beltayn and should be handled with care, we don't want him harmed as he's needed for a greater purpose. Anyone who dares to fight us will feel our utter wrath and no one will be spared, Luidias will also sacrifice all of you to save him but will fail. The one who kills him will gain immortality."

(Sighs) I suppose we're not just going to hand the Eldar over... I'll have my men set up defenses in the hangar...

The Gargant fires all of its weapons at the Employer, thousands of bullets and massive explosions strike the ground around him.

GET DA SPIKEE FREAK!

The Orks charge.

"To right we arnt. Bel' you myself and hunter shoudl get ready, I would prefer it if you diddnt get to close, Im sure that one could simply grab you and warp away, for the same reason I wpnt get up close and personal if I can help it. Hunter any thoughts?"

"I'm unsure I really am, those things probaly have control of the weaponry of this ship. They also have tremendous psychi and will arrive to take him soon, and if they could do what they did on that planet imagen what all four of therm could do here."

The Employer emerges and simply leaves with little concern for the Orks at all.

"Well they arnt going to get out of this without a fight. Bel' we have the option of fleeing here. Endgame could get us out of here. I dont like it but its on the cards"

You cannot stop us Bel'tyan, running will not help ether. Give your self to us now, do it you know it is the only way to save your friend. If you deny we are happy to break the backs and skulls of every being on this pathetic ship and keep you as a slave with a fate worse than Slannesh. Don't think were lying because we are coming very soon in fact, were here.

A loud crash signals the bridges blast doors collapsing allowing the 3rd Employer to enter the Bridge, a strange helm with several small eyes studies the figures within the bridge and raises its arms.

Every marine on the bridge raises his weapon. Eladius grimaces. Fighting with Xenos and heretics. This day got better and better. Perhaps he should have just gone down with the ship...

Fire!

The Employer doesn't move, it simply grabs a Space marine with it's telekinesis and drags him towards it before tearing the marine in two. The Employer grabs the Captain and slams him against the floor before sending the others flying.

More marines storm up to the bridge from the hangar. Eladius jumps up and slashes at the Employer that attacked him.

Protect the Eldar!

The remnants of the Draconic Guard charge to Eladius' side, as the rest of the marines take up positions in front of Beltyan and Kais

The Employer moves forward and slams the Captain into the wall and holds him down, a long blade emerges from the inside of the Employers helm;

"The Gore Dragons would pay greatly for your Gene-seed and head, I will enjoy this."

The Blade begins to pierce the armour of the captain but Hunter runs forward and activates his blade before plowing it into the Employers helm

"I don't think we can win, but we better think of something if we want to."

Kais jumps into battle, he had been readying his new X-15 Prototype Battlesuit for some time, and now had the chance to use it.

He challenged the Employer, with his Elite Fire Warriors taking up positions beside him, before he yelled to the others,

"Ludias, Bel, get to Endgame!" he shouts, reading his four massive railguns on the battlesuit. "Hunter stay with them! Everybody else, FIRE!!!" he shouts, before rushing to fight the Employer.

Kais feels the foul grip of the Employer and begins to open fire, the entire room opens fire causing the Employer great damage but it doesn't give up and drags Kais towards it;

"I'll spare you and every being in this room for the Eldar, he will not perish and we will even return him to you."

"I will not let one deformed finger of yours touch him, DAEMON!" Kais shouts before firing his railguns at point blanc range.

The Employers metal form collapses reveling it's true form, a hideous bone dragon that hisses and screeches at the bridge crew. The Daemon roars and screams as it grabs Kais by the head and slams its bladed talons into his right eye, Kais almost falls from the utter agony as his eye pops in a bloody blast and the Daemon goes for another attack but it stops as Syrath tackles it by the waist and pushes it to the ground only to be fired into the wall.

Kais roars in pain, but he isn't finished.

He overcharges his suit, and charges into the Employer, before firing the over powered railgun shots, the power blast enveloping them both...

An assault squad and a tactical squad escort Beltyan and Ludias away. Seeing the Shas'O's attack, the closest marines fall back, a Draconic Guard pulling Eladius out of the way. The rest of the marines open fire on the Daemon. As Kais fires his railgun, most of the Marines take cover in time, but a few are blown to pieces in the blast.

Kais is wounded and is forced to crawl away from the rising Employer, it ignores the attacks and grabs Bel with it's Telekinesis and crushes every one of the Bridge crew into the walls and laughs coldly as another Employer enters the room and smashes open the Windows and flee, taking Bel with them. The blast shields raise with the crew shell-shocked and wounded.

OOC: Awww, c'mon! I fired four point black overcharged railgun shots into it and it wasn't even fazed!

And I could swear Bel was already going to the hangar...

IC:

Kais is badly hurt, and he knows he shouldn't, but frags himself up, and orders everybody to get into thier ships and follow the Employer.

OOC: I agree with Kais

IC:

Eladius screams with rage, his men cannot die like this for nothing. Kais will have to answer for this, but that can wait. Without thinking, He activates his jump pack and shoots under the closing blast door, his eyes and hands glowing with blood-red psychic energy.

You will die, Daemons!

Blasts of energy fly at the Employers, and then Eladius slashes at one of them, leaving him badly wounded.

Get down to the hanger, I don't know what the Captain is thinking, but he will need rescue when his rage has abated

OOC: Its alright Shas...this actually saves me the trouble of giving myself up...

Beltayn watched as the tau and marines both fought to keep him safe. But he knew how foolhardy to was to try to fight a greater daemon in the Eye of Terror. He saw Ludias headed away from the action on Shas O's orders. Ludias looked back at Beltayn as he hesitated. The two looked at each other for a silent moment and Ludias could see the resignation in Beltayn's eyes.

"If I do not give myself up, they will kill all of us, and then what will that accomplish? I'm so sorry Storm, but this is how it must be." Beltayn said as he turned away from him, and walked back towards the Employer. He stood with his arms open in an inviting gesture.

"Take me and be done with it, leave them alone and I will go!" He shouted to the Employer as it struggled with the Marines and Tau. The Employer looked at him, laughed deeply in its throat, then grabbed him and fled with supernatural speed. Beltayn sagged against its grip, he didn't want this, but it was the only way it could have happened, he looked up at the Employer as they left.

"What in the name of Khaine do you want me for warp scum?"

(OOC) The Employers can take mass damage, but will be weakened if you cause enough. The Employer could of killed you if it was at full power but relised it was pointless to fight you

"We are sir, they have entered the Chaos Carrier and have begun to prepare Drop-Ships for the planet. If we are to catch them we must hurry."


The Employer is weakened but is able to regain some of its strength as it enters the Chaos Craft, it looks over to Bel'tyan.

"To destroy the Cadian Gate we require a fleet of unimaginable power that will crush the humans with a quick strike, your foolish race lead us to such a fleet but only the touch of one like you would achieve this Eldar."

OOC: Big Mek, I never put that the blast would hurt any marines, it just enveloped the Employer and and Kais...

IC:

"Bel'tayn!" Kais shouts, not letting it be. "Everybody get to the hangar! NOW!!!"

When he was there, Kais ran to the silver shark, and ordered the pilot to fly towards the fleeing Employers, and it left just after the Elite Fire Warriors jumped on.

The Silver Shark makes it towards the Chaos Carrier, its massive but doesn't open fire on the approaching craft. Several Chaos Craft appear but flee as the craft begins its decent towards the planet releasing multiple fighter squadrons to battle the Silver Shark .

"Pilot, fire all weapons! We are not losing this one!"

Several of the Fighters explode instantly and begin to flee as the Dark Eldar begin to systematically hunt them down with a fierce instinct.

OOC: Yeah, if you read my post, I said that it killed some marines before. I'm just trying to add a bit of dimension to my character...

Eladius propels himself towards the wounded Employer again and grabs it. He screams at it, the Red Thirst and the Warp fueling his rage. He tears at the Daemon, while the other flies away with Beltyan.

A Stormraven explodes out of the hanger and flies towards Eladius.

What the hell is he trying?

(Before the employer gets back to his ship)
Ludias and Hunter get into Endgame and exit the hangar swiftly catching up with the employers, Ludias drops behind the one carrying WARORK and Hunter unleasehes a full 5 second blast of the Lascannon Repeaters

The armoured Employer nods to the damaged one who rushes towards the foe, it fires bolts of energy that almost destroy the right wing of the fighter but is able to side step the attack. It turns it's attention to Luidias who grabs onto it's bent and twisted horns and despretly tries to push him away from it's face.

o.O This is in the ship... in space... as they are heading to their ship.... did i miss something?

The Stormraven flies alongside Eladius, who is still ripping into the Daemon without relent. The side door of the Stormraven opens.

Captain! You need to get on board!

Eladius screams in rage and continues his attack. The Employer is becoming weaker as Eladius' psychic and physical attacks strike him.

(OOC) OK lets just get this straight.

1: Luidias is fighting Employer 1, who is damaged

2: The Captain would be dead by now if he was fighting the other Employer which he isn't, it fled with Bel

3: The Tau and Dark Eldar are fighting Chaos fighters

OOC: How can you just decide something isn't happening? I posted about 3 posts of this fight, the first one only just after the employers escaped, and you're only just now responding to it. And the fact that the other one is fighting Ludias doesn't make any sense, considering they're in space and Ludias is in a ship... if the ship is breached, which it would have to be if the employer was attacking Ludias, it would have depressurized and he would be dead.

1: In the Eye the laws of Gravity, Space and general time do not apply

2: Because of Marta wishing to intervene I had to change the posts

3: Luidias would obviously have a suit that is pressurized itself, Hunter as well

Bel is dragged through a dark grey tunnel, flickering lights dot the hall way as he is thrown before an Employer who taps his head with a long skeleton like arm that is combined with wires and metal. Its head is different to the other Employers, a large Defiler like helm that sports two horns and several green glowing eyes;

"This is the one? Such a frail thing, hard to believe this is a threat. And funny to know that our plan has worked since the begging. We have done allot of things to find you, allot of things indeed."

Coraks the Daemon Prince from earlier strides through the corridor and bows before the Employer and rises;

"My lord we have prepared a transport for you and our defenses have been readied, I shall remain here until you reach the surface and continue the defense from the Tau and Space Marines."

To be honest Reaper im mildly dissapointed and frustrated with this one as well. Its bloody annoying to be fighting something you know you cant kill but have to fight anyway, you cant run, you cant fight, you cant give up because that would be wrong ive gone down that path already and ive made a promise to warork


and to be really honest if something can survive 150 lascannon shots and still be happy that is rediculous

im not leaving just voicing my concerns, having an immortal enemy is ok, ive kind of gotten used to that with syrath, but 4 of them? Who chase us like they are dogs and we are the rabbit? It gets frustrating

The Employer looks towards the incoming missiles and tries to scramble away but is consumed in the blast, little more than bone and metal remain floating in the dark void of space.

Ludias cant help letting out a woop and hunter growls in appreciation as the fighter jinks into a secondary flight path to avoid the debris. Ludias raises the Tau commander on his vox
{One target destroyed, allthough it took a lot to take him down. Requesting permission to chase secondary objective into the hangar?}

"What? You can't Luidias, the ships going to be full of Chaos marines and Daemons not to mention the Employer. But we could have a full on assault on the craft, but there may be difficulties."

{Listen to me dammnit, thats my only friend stuck on that dammned ship, I only asked out of politeness I have an obligation to that Eldar to go after him. Bel' needs me right now Shas'o and with all due respect I cant wait around while you and your subordinates flap around this needs to happen now!!}

"Fine Luidias but remember the Employers were willing to pay a massive price for the Eldar, what do you think they need him for?"

Hunter activates the turret and begins to shoot down incoming Drop-Ships an fighters with ease.

"Whatever it is it cant be good... hunter, convince me against this seriously, I know its wrong but if someone doesnt stop me Im going to end up getting both of us killed"

"It would be wrong, If we attack the Employers we risk Belt'yans life. I suggest we make a plan and wait till the Employers make their move, I don't believe the Space Marine Captain survived his encounter and the Space Marines will be lost without him. I'll see if Syrath can do anything about it with his powers, Syrath come!"

Syrath appears were Bel'tyan would be sitting and turns towards Luidias and Hunter;

"Are my skills needed once again? What must I do mi lord?"

"Corrupt a Space Marine company."

"WHAT? You want me to......to a......corrupt a Space marine....company? Marius wasn't hard after the deaths but a company...it will take awhile. Syrath away!"

Syrath dispersers.

Beltayn gets to his feet, not knowing where he is or what is going on but he sees the Employers looking at him and conversing. He speaks as he rises to his feet.

"Alright, you have me, bravo, now what in hell's name is it that you want with me?"

"Your foolish race lead us to a fleet with power beyond imagining, but they could not activate and in their desperate nature they pointed us to a 'ranger' who's blood line matched the one we needed. Using you we will break the balance of the eternal war and push it into a new stage, now [One] take the Eldar to the fortress and prepare the fleet and Coraks do not allow the Sniper to enter the fortress."

The Employer marked [One] grabs the Eldar by the scruff of his hood and leaves for the Hanger where he boards a drop-ship with the Eldar and several Elite Terminators, the ship leaves the hanger and begins its journey towards the planet.

Beltayn sits in the dropship thinking about his friend and wondering if the two will ever see each other...then he remembers something, there was a transmitter on his belt that Ludias might be able to pick up for a signal...Beltayn had no idea if it was powerful enough to get through and even if it was he had no clue if the warp would garble the signal or not but he knew he had to try. As he fiddled with the switch at his waist, he spoke to the Employer to try and distract him.

"The other one mentioned a bloodline, what bloodline? I was not aware that I was descended from anything special, and what does it have to do with this fleet?"

"Eldar engineers and Farseers, they foresaw the Fall and created a fleet of ships to protect themselves. We found them and forced them to our own will, they nearly did as we commanded but fled. Few survived and they were young, simple children hidden from our reach."

Beltayn nods, the Fall was a great and terrible moment in his kind's history. The only reason there were any Eldar left was because a few brave individuals amongst them foresaw what was to come, and despite the ridicule of their neighbors, took steps to prevent the Fall from consuming the entire race.

"Children you say? You must remember that I am also a child compared to you, one who has lived for thousands of years, so I do not think that you mean actual Eldar children. But that aside, you still haven't answered both my questions, what do you mean by my bloodline, what makes it so special? If you want me to cooperate, I demand answers!"

"Your blood is the only one of the children who could activate the device, they removed the specific blood sample required to activate the fleet. You were chosen to be the 'key' by whatever relatives you have and were taught in ways to avoid us secretly, if you were told properly they believed you could be susceptible to our corruption."

Beltayn thought about what he was being told, he thought back to his life in his craftworld when he was very young. He had no real knowledge of his parents other than they were die hard followers of the path. He remembered his teachers and his mentors were especially strict on him regarding the Eldar paths, so much so that it repelled him into the path of the outcast that he had followed for so long now.

Was it possible that his entire life had been orchestrated secretly to safeguard some great weapon or system. Could it be that he had been herded towards his path by his people in order to have him out of the clutches of these Daemons he was now in the company of? The possibility of it made him sick to his stomach...his head swirled as he wondered what part of his life was truth and what part was fact...

Well, whatever they were headed to was the thing which supposedly was only able to be activated by him. Part of him wanted to see this "fleet" which his blood was supposed to hold the key to but another part of him knew he had to figure out some way to prevent these daemons from using it...or else it could spell doom for a good many of his people. And despite his suspicions about their trickery, tricks he was sure that his people's leaders could conjure as they did so often to manipulate other races, he would not willingly doom his people, he may have been a mercenary, but he was born an Eldar and like it or not his blood screamed for their protection...

After all, only a few of them were left...

The Drop-Ship lands and allows the Employers and marines to depart, with Belt'yan heavily guarded. They enter a large courtyard where several large spires sit undisturbed and quietly as the Employer hovers towards a large glowing control panel that sits in the center of the massive Court Yard. The Employer pushes the Ranger forward and nods to him;

"Place your hand on the panel."

Ludias pulls the ship around as the carrier jumps into the warp and brings it back to the hangar. He opens the hatch and walks to the bridge but he is anything but calm his now healed wrist is shaking slightly as he rebuilds his rifle. The weapon snaps together and he grins coldly under his mask. He was back

He waited for the elevator to take him to the bridge with barely shielded impatience. He felt the whole ship judder into a hupe jump and wondered how the Space marines would be coping with the loss of thier captain.

As he approached the Tau commander he raised his hand and pointed his sword at the commander, not threteningly, but enough to make sure his attention was fixed firmly on Ludias
"What are we doing about Beltayn?"

(gak will hit the fan if he presses the button.)

"We are preparing troops but we have little information on what they are using him for, and where in the fortress he is. We do have one lead though, his tracker and we were able to pin-point his final position. In the Chaos Carrier above the planet, he left in a Drop-Ship not long ago though."

Ludias curses loudly and audibly but contains it in his mask with a vox seal and then sprints back to his ship,
"Hunter with me, Sha'o I will mee you and your Tau there."

Once Ludias and Hunter are in Endgame he gets them out into space and flicks the warp drive on leaping them into the atmosphere.

what do I see reaper?

The fortress has changed, the spires are still visibly damaged and the turret fields expanded. The AA-guns turn towards the fighter but do not fire and de-active giving Luidias a clear shot at a landing pan were several Drop-Ships are being repaired, Chaos ground crews scatter as the fighter comes closer to the massive fort.

Hunter unleashes full salvos against the ground crews and the dropships wiping out any resistance they may have had then the two get out. Ludias drawing his rifle and scanning the area.

"Where would they go?

"No clue but we may have just kicked the Hornets nest, but I'm surprised with the lack of a welcoming committee."

The Door at the end of the Landing pad opens and the Tech Lord emerges and swings his axe into a attack position, several more marines carrying blades accompany him towards the two new arrivals.

"More guests? Theron, Hacker, keep the marine busy. He is my prize for the Employ....."

A com interrupts the Tech-Lord before he can attack;


"But..my lord we....but....fine. It seems we cannot harm you due to your friends terms, sadly."

Ludias grins at Hunters statement
"You just shot it to pieces remember?"
Ludias grimaces slightly at the sight of 4 marines
"Well thats not stopping me from killing you is it?"
Ludias pumps of 4 rounds with his rifle one into the head of each offender. The bullets enter in through the eye sights and detonate with a acid charge that has the Marines screaming for a few seconds before they drop.

The Tech-Lord quickly flees leaving the gate open for Hunter and Luidas, something rises behind them. A drop-ship which quickly leaves as well but no before firing, the two quickly enter the door-way and make their way through several corridors to find a balcony over looking a court-yard dotted with large triangular shapes and in the center stand Beltyan and an Employer.

Ludias looks over at Beltayn and sees the Eldars hand poised over a rather ominous looking button
"Bel' NO!!!!"

Stalkers are Brutes that use stealth and infiltration tactics against their enemies during combat, they make use of Active Camo. (Maniacal laugh)

Doing a Marius (v): Surviving a near death experience or something that SHOULD have killed you, not by the skin of your teeth, but in such a resounding manner that your foe is defeated. Often escaping with serious injuries.

Doing a Ludias (v): Being able to create almost anything from base materials in a hostile environment in complete calm, only for that item to become a key instrument of success.

Doing a Marta (1) (v): Performing a near impossible or simply epic feat within the bounds of a characters own abilities and being able to avoid becomeing overpowered or godmodding.

(2) (v) Being able to create in depth and seemingly epic characters that stretch the rules of character creation to the limit to create the perfect character to fill a role.

It seems the entirety of this RP now rests on what I decide to do next...gives me a tingly feeling inside...

IC: Beltayn held his hand over the panel, he had no clue what would happen if he did that but part of him wanted to know, part of him wanted to know what he was destined for. As he sat there for a few moments, trying to make the decision, suddenly he heard a voice from behind him. He looked to see Ludias standing on a balcony with Hunter at his side, he shouted for Beltayn to not touch the panel.

All of the terminators pointed their weapons up at Ludias and the Employer just laughed.

"You cannot stop us now, sniper, the prize will be ours!" It said, it turned back to Bel and scowled at him. "Do it! Do you want your friend to die?"

Beltayn glared at the Employer and then turned to Ludias, he stepped forwards a bit.

"Ludias! Do you trust me?" He asked aloud.

"You know I do, Bel." Ludias called back.

"Then trust me now." He replied and then turned back to the panel. His mind raced, what would this panel unleash? He did not know but he knew one thing, if he was indeed destined to activate it...would he be the one to control it? If Beltayn was right, this thing was made by Eldar hands, therefore only Eldar hands could control it...and that gave him an idea. Besides, what if he refused what would that accomplish, they would just ill Ludias and then himself, and they would get what they wanted anyway...no, there was only one path for him to go down...

Taking a deep breath and saying a prayer to Khaine and all the other gods he could think of, Beltayn looked at his hand and clenched it into a fist before flattening it out and placing it on the panel.

Gawd do I know that feeling XD

"YES!"

The the podium which Bel'tyan and the Employer stand atop rises and begins to split, the triangular shapes begin to rise as well and the ground splits allowing the rest of the ships to emerge. Massive cruisers emerge and begin to light up with power as they rise into the air while smaller craft also emerge, hundreds of ships soon float over the the fortress casting a dark shadow over it;


"You have given us the power to doom billions! Let the crusade of utter terror commence!"


The Employer rises and begins to raise even more craft with it's teleknesis and activates several door ways from which Tech-Priests spill from;


"Create us more craft of greatness my servants! Forge us new weapons from our gifts, thank you Eldar for our new gifts. We will spare you for now."  

Ludias sinks to his knees looking up at the cruisers. There were so many. Drawing his sword he looked down at the terminators and thought for a second. Then jumped of the walkway. 25 metres strait down. And landed on his feet in a slight crouch, his head bowed down one hand holding a pistol. The other his handmade blade
"Bring it"

OOC: Let the fun begin...

IC: Beltayn watches as the ships come up out of their hangars, huge and lithe cruisers with silver skin and gentle curves like that of his people, though these were different, more strange looking creations. Their metal sides glimmered with a shade similar to his own hair and Beltayn could not help but feel that these ships were very old, and very powerful. He smiled.

"Hmph...I don't think so." He said to himself. While the Employer was busy rallying the dark tech priests, Beltayn began to run towards the ships, picking out the largest one that seemed to be the flagship by its high bridge and long fins. He whispered into his vox to Ludias.

"Think you can hold them off for a bit? I've got an idea but I'll need some time, don't let them get near the ships."

He is soon directly under the ship he finds and uses an access panel outside of it that opens a hatch on the underside once he activates it. Once he does this, he looks around him, not knowing if this will work but willing to try it anyway.

"Farseer! If you can hear me, I need your help!"

Ludias grins into his visor, he diddnt even have to answer, of course he could hold them off...

Ludias watches as the Terminators come forwards, daemonically possessed weapons and storm shields crackling with eldritch energy clutched in their powerful hands. He let them get closer than they thought he would but to no avail for them. Ludias fell into a roll backwards landing on his feet and springing bacwards firing two shots in quick succession. One slamming onto the front of a storm shield the other flicking through to knock of a horn from a helmeted head. Ludias grinned. The terminator who had caught the shot on his hsield was screaming in agony as the energy from his storm shield was channeled into his body. The shot had pierced the shield and had connected the Terminators arm with the eldritch force field.

The remaining terminators scream in rage and charge as one, one of them bodily lifting Ludias by the throat only to loose his hand and then head from two swift strikes of the sniper's sword. Anouther tries to smash his shield into Storm but the lithe combatant meerly hooked his sword around the device and sliced the Terminators arm off at the elbow. Ludias dodges the falling plate of crackling plasteel with a backwards flip. In midair he looses two more shots that pin the terminators eyes and he falls with a heavy thud. The other Terminators back off from the fighter thier fighting aggression broken by the tiny warrior.
"Wrong move boys"
Ludias throws a small metal shere at one of the terminators who easily catches it on his shield only to be slammed to the ground as the balls magnetic field activates sticking the shield to the ground and wrenching its owner down with it. Ludias makes a swift jump spearing his sword through the terminators head as he does so.

The rest of the terminators retreat warily but Ludias doesnt give them that opportunity bringing his rifle to bear and firing well aimed shots past the Terminators guards into unprotected points. The terminators promptly sieze up as the shots immobilise thier armour. Ludias makes short work of them with his sword and looks askance at the Employer.
"Your elite troops needed more training"

"I do not require them to kill you anymore Sniper, I can do it myself!"

The Employer begins to fire bolts of warp energy at the sniper and breaks part of the wall Luidias is standing on in order to gain more projectiles and begins to spin the rubble and throw it at Luidias.


The Farseer and Syrath tumble into reality and crash into the raised platform with Bel'tyan, Syrath shakes his head and smiles as he sees the Employer before spreading his wings and charging towards it, The Farseer turns towards Bel and looks at the ships as well;

"You had to do that didn't you? Well any way what is it that you need?"

Ludias scoffs at the employers attempt, to showy and far too inefficient. Ludias simply jumps towards the piece of rubble and runs across its sheer surface as it passes beneath him. The acrobatics a rather simple thing for a Vindicare to do, let alone Ludias who has undergone weight lessening surgury at the hands of several races....

He knows he is unlikely to kill the employer with what he has, however the void grenade in his rifles lever action is his best bet. the Daemon doesnt know about it and it will activate when he touches the rifle, so Ludias does the unthinkable. He runs along the wall and leaps onto The daemon and as the thing roars in triumph at its prey so close he jams his rifle down its throat and fully aware of the consequenses.


Holds it there

The grenade explodes within the Employer, blue, purple and red flames replace it's helm and propel Luidais who is already injured at high speeds into a wall. The Employer begins to tear itself apart and rises further and further until it fully imploded into ash but Luidias is left mangled and injured, his helm broken and his armour shattered and cracked and his legs angled and twisted impossibly, His vision fades but something appears, an angel of golden light points it's hand towards him and props him up before carrying him towards Bel'tyan and the Farseer.

"I can save you boy, I don't know why but I'm doing it."

Syrath replaces the angel and places Ludias on the ground.

"Hey... employer fella.. guess what? Boom!! Vortex grenade in your mouth... suck it"
Ludias blacks out

Luidias is thrown into a world of darkness and pain, Syrath stands over him confused and worried and prods him with his claws before pushing the Farseer towards him;

"Do what you can to help him because I'm sure quite allot of Chaos marines are on their way here right now."

The Farseer places her hand on the Snipers head awakening him and leasing the pain(

"We must go now, they are coming."

Ludias curses violently for a few seconds as he realises where his rifle went and stands wincing at the pain in his heda, Lthough his enhanced bodily functions are repairing him swiftly it does nothing to repair his cracked mask. He sighs, it was going to need some fixing. He draws his sword and a pistol and regardless of the fact that he has battered armour a shattered body and a cracked mask he still looks like he could take on a greentide and be laughing the whole time.

Ludias and Hunter get into Endgame and exit the hangar swiftly catching up with the employers, Ludias drops behind the one carrying WARORK and Hunter unleasehes a full 5 second blast of the Lascannon Repeaters

And thats exactly what happened to me now...

... whats happened?

I killed anouther employer, but I had to sacrifice my rifle to do it... TBH it kinda went as well as one could hope given the circumstances, oh and my deathstrike missles killed one of them in space as well. Not sure if the three I have killed are gonna stay dead but god dammnit ive killed THREE of them

oh and the ships turned up

For now but they are coming back once they have gained enough power.

The door ways open allowing Chaos marines to spill out and begin to attack, Bolter fire is narowly dodged by the defenders who fire back at the marines killing several.

/This is Atlas, hold your ground and a Raiders on the way/

{Good to hear a familiar voice amounsgst the chaos radio chatter, were waiting on you atlas, look for the red smoke.}

Ludias flicks a small canister to the side which puts out a pright plume of red smoke, alerting people to thier prescence maybe but Ludias wasnt going to hang around waiting for a raider that would leave his ship behind.
"Bel' I'll see you back on the ship, I'm going to take Endgame up"

Ludias sprints tot he wall and vaults over, landing on a marines shoulders, grinning like a loon he steps from shoulder to shoulder across the mob and before any of them can fire back hes back at the landing pad, he gets into his seat and shuts the visor, not wasting anytime he flicks on full burn and quickly escapes the range of the AA guns. Then begins the lonely journey back to the ship. As it turns out Ludias would arrive at the same time as Hunter and Bel'...

A faimiler sound is heard, a black scretch of foul Daemonic words and Khornate tributes heralds Coraks arrival. The Daemon prince slams into a spire and points towards Luidias as a Employer emerges from the shadows;

"He is the one my lord, he was able to defeat three of the Others master. He is clearly a danger and should be dealt with correctly"

The Employer turns and nods to Coraks who leaps into the air and drops down towards Luidias, the Employer turns and leaves before contacting a group of awaiting Gun-ships and Drop-ships.

"Kill him now."

Can I join. Possibly as an Employer, Coraks, Arrius or even Syrath the Immortal.

Syrath but remember he's not a saint yet , you could play as the Lead Employer or Arrius if you wish but remember when your playing as Syrath here are the main facts;

He's cocky

He's arrogant

He's annoying

And he's funney

Beltayn ran into the flagship through the hatch he had opened...he ran through the ship, getting to the bridge as fast as he could, coming to a halt at the control throne, he looked about at the construction of the ship. Somehow it all felt strangely familiar to him, probably because they were ships made by his people and he was used to seeing such craft but also because for some reason he felt like he had either been here before or was supposed to be here now.

"Farseer! Answer me!" He called into the nothingness of the bridge. The farseer appeared in front of him in a puff of essence. "Do you regret your decisions? Do you seek redemption from your fall?" Beltayn asked truthfully, he got no answer but the Farseer just looked at him and almost imperceptibly nodded.

"Then help me fix this." He said. He sat on the command throne and activated the controls. "The Employers want a ship so I'll give them one! You must help control this thing, if I'm right then I'm the only one who can do it..."

He begins scanning the control devices as the farseer uses her powers to control everything else. "Power up shields, weapons, and engines, activate manuals...okay, by Khaine this thing is old!"

The flagship begins to lift off and turn towards the fortress, its nose hovering over the area and casting a shadow over the Chaos forces as they shoot fruitlessly at the ship's shields. Beltayn sees all this through the control throne and locks on to as many targets as he can mark. He clutches his soulstone necklace as he activates the ship's weapons.

"In the name of Eldar, be purged!" He shouts as he fires the weapons.

oooohhhhhhh crap

Ludias soon finds himself jinking and rolling amidst heavy quad fire, but the dropships are slow and the gunships targetting systems cant keep up with Ludias's elite piloting. He switches controls of the fore and aft mounted quads to his consol and slowly begins thinning the ranks of ships ahead of him and behind him. But a loud mettalic screech wakes him up to the prescence of that infernal Daemon prince. Ludias takes control of the Lascannon repeaters but continues to jink and roll, making it impossible for the daemon prince to get to him without making himself vulnerable to the fire of his own ships.

The deul continues, Ludias seeing the futile efforts of the chaos ships a boon to keeping the daemon away form him until he has enough clear space infront of him to do a Jump. Finally he sees his opening after ripping to shreds anouther Dropship from behind he brings up the jump drive and activates it only to hear a grinding sound and then a loud thum as something heavy crunches in the aft of the ship, Ludias groans internally, they had sabotaged his ship to get him up here in it. And they needed to leave other systems functional so that he wouldnt suspect anything until it was to late.

A fierce glint springs to Ludias's eyes as he pulls Endgame in a tight loop and up behind a quad of the gunships. Wasting no time he lets rip with his own quads splashing all four of his targets. He flicks the control stick to the right throwing the ship into a barrel roll and pulls sharply upwards corkscrewing the fighter around a line of quad that a dropship is firing his way. When his autosights lock on he he briefly squeezes the trigger on his control stick shredding the cockpit of the drops ship and then pulling back slightly on the stick bringing the line of fire along the dropships hull and to an engine. This split second manouvre throws the dropship into a spin that catches anouther craft taking them both to the ground in a fireball.

Ludias sees the Daemon in his rearview monitor and grins, locking on he blasts the foolish daemon prince with the rear mounted quads.

We are the kings of arial combat. HELL YEAH

Syrath's comm cuts out as the Chaos Destroy arrives over the planet, the ship appears above a small battle taking place between another Chaos Craft and Tau ship.

The spires shake and the ground collapses as the Silver Shark narrowly escapes the mass bombardment, Coraks retreats while the Endgame lands in the strange hanger of the Eldar ship with Syrath and the Farseer acting as bridge crew;

"Chaos Fighters approaching, preparing shields and defensive systems."

The Farseer sits in the navigators seat and studies several maps and charts;

"Plotting Coarse now, opening com channels with the Tau and Dark Eldat fleet. New contacts above the planet."

and sure, but I'ts not my fault I survived. The Vortex grenade should have killed him.

Ludias meets Bel' at the bridge.
"Bit of a step up isnt it? Sniper to admiral?"

Ludias gets comfy in the gunners chair and links his mildly cracked mask with the interface controls. He is momentarily overwhelmed by the information from hunreds of gun turrets but grins, this would be a test of his mental reflexes. He closes his eyes and begins to shoot down fighters by wielding all of the turrets simoultaneously

Cool, GS is a great guy and writer and helped develop the Syrath idea. This RP's about to get interesting...


Hundreds of blasts, thousands in fact.

In several seconds a single flick of a switch just destroyed a small fleet of Chaos fighters.

The Iron Warrior controlled Eldar ships make no effort to fight back and begin retreating but something does not retreat, the newly arrived Bridge crew of Tau and Dark Eldar stand back in awe as it rises.

The lead Employer.

Far larger and more 'decorated' than the others it strides towards the bridge glass and presses it's hand against it, cracks appear but the glass does not shatter.

It bows its head, afraid of one thing for the first time in existence.

It warps away instantly, it flees.

Hey, weve sorted it out, I just get mildly frustrated when i have to post over three hundred times in the Eye of Terror series to get this kind of epicness and you can start with it :\

Bridge crew, hard wired into the ships main battle computer begin the scan and work tirelessly to find the targets;

[We have located Coraks and the 'Alpha' lord Arrius, what are your commands for the following situation?]

The Servitors cold and mechanical voice almost made the Chaos Champions and Commanders around Arrius felt scarred but the Daemon lord smirked.

"Prepare the ships for landing and combat now."

[OOC]I would have posted much earlier (starting from scratch), but I had a lot of real life stuff to deal with over the last few months. Bloodreaper was just kind enough to offer me another epic position to play, when I met him in person today.

Beltayn chuckles despite himself "A hunter does what he must to survive, and right now that means getting away from here. Hold them away while I get this thing back towards the Tau fleet."

Beltayn pilots the large yet lithe ship to the best of his ability, which is considerably awkward considering he has very little experience in ship control.

"Can't you fly this thing straight?!" Syrath yells over his shoulder at Beltayn. The Eldar pathfinder pays him no mind, concentrating on the swarming displays around the control throne. Despite the strangeness of the work he was doing, Beltayn was surprised this was working at all, normally ships of this size required large amounts of crew members to operate, this one, however, seemed to be able to be piloted with less effort due to its design...it was extremely old, a relic from before the fall of his people, questions about its origins swirled in his head but the rocking of impacts on the ship's shields snapped Beltayn back to the fight.

"I'm keeping her steady as best I can...hold on, this might get a lot bumpier."

Ludias uses the ships vox system to tlak to Bel' ... or rather yell at him
{BELTAYN GET THIS THING INTO ORBIT NOW!!!}

Ludias is mildly shocked at his outburst, he had never yelled at his friend before.

Ludias redoubles his efforts into firing at the fighters and ground crews

The cracks turn into words, glowing green words that become arched and glow with energy;

"Be careful were you tread...do not believe....that we are beaten...."

The Ship enters orbit, annihilating a Chaos Craft assaulting the small Tau/Dark Eldar fleet and the smaller Tau ships begin to dock in the massive crafts many hangers and docking bays.

(OOC) This is like the ship Syrath used in the original one but bigger

OOC: You're talking about the flagship right? You mean its bigger than the supercarrier?

And what of the rest of that fleet? What happened to it?

Beltayn watches as the Chaos ships begin to lift off and the appearance of the huge daemon occurs, he hesitates for a moment before Ludias' shout snaps him back around.

"Heading for orbit...axillary power to engines, get us out of here!" He shouts at the display as he throttles the ship's engines to the max to get the ship out of the planet's atmosphere.

BIGGER?????!!!!!!!

Ludias slowly removes himself from the targetting matrix and gets up unsteadily. His mind feeling slightly blank from the sudden loss of all the turrets data. He pats Beltayn on the shoulder congratulating him and seemingly oblivious to the people trying to get his attention he leaves the Bridge. The fatigue of the last few hours is catching up with him and his vision of an angel did not leave his mind. He staggers down to the hangar and begins to rework the jump drive, fixing it from the sabotage it had experienced. He also begins to create a new quad of missles for Endgame.

His mind begins to wander and his masks feed crackles slightly, suddenly he simply loses consiousness from the fatigue of the last few days and the missle slips out of his hand...

(Up to you lot whether he dies here or not...)

Syarth follows Luidais to the bay and watches as he slips unconscious, the Daemon Smirks and drags him away before shattering his mask and laughing. He taps him on the head and slams him into a wall and brings out a large blade that flickers to life;

"Such a foolish one, your arrogance has been such a benefit to me. I will enjo..."

The Farseer impales the Daemon and punches him in the face before dragging Luidias to the bridge;

"We have a problem!"

"Excellent, we shall catch Coraks' by surprise", Arrius sneered, "You are to divert your forces towards inconveniencing Coraks!"

Arrius loomed over his commanders, who overtly jumped at his sudden exclamation. He grimaced, and gazed directly into their eyes, seeing the fear within them. Fear. An emotion he hated. An emotion he never felt. Yet, these whelps were overcome by it. Disgust. That was all he felt for them. Their deaths would be a welcome change.

"I shall personally attack the Employers directly", he paused, "and when I give the command, you are to release Coraks so that he can step in and 'save' his new 'masters'"

Arrius knew that he would never have to issue the command. As Coraks would cut through his followers with ease. And by that time he would be ready.

"We have a track on one of them, near to a small Chaos fleet directly above the polar regions of the planet. Coraks on standby with his troops with them as well commander, we have begun deployment and full scale attack is ready. Successful actions have a 3000.000 to 1 chance of causing the Employers to fully believe Coraks mi lord. "

not to put a spanner in the works but diddnt I just wipe that sucker with the Endgames's rear quads? (Coraks)

Injured but not dead, it even makes the story more believable to have a injured servant beat the Daemonic lord of their greatest foe.

Beltayn rushes over to Ludias to make sure he is not dead, he is relieved that he is not but surprised to see that his face is not covered by his mask. Slowly it dawns on him that even with his body's enhancements, Ludias must hav succumbed to exhaustion.

"He is not dead but He requires rest, leave him be for now, we have more pressing matters..." He says as he goes back to the control throne. He scans the ship's layout for larger weapons than defense turrets.

"Is there any weapon on this ship that has a high enough yield to destroy or deface the planet below us? I know its crazy but we have to make sure these daemons do not control that fleet no matter what happens, with it they could begin a black crusade that wipes out the Imperium...and with it the galaxy. Find me something, find me anything!"

Ludias becomes aware of himself. And his surroundings. Hes in a white room that seems to stretch on forever in all directions. He looks around and realises with a start that he isnt wearing his custom body suit. Instead he is wearing a plain white tunic. He gets up reaching instinctivley for a weapon, only to realise that he has none. For the first time in his adault life Ludias feels fear.

He looks around himself and sees nothing. So he begins to walk.

"Perfect! Launch the attack on Coraks' fleet. We need to make sure that the Employers believe that he is a traitor to our Leader. Leave no survivors, as Coraks will spare you no mercy!" Arrius boomed.

His servants followed this order without question, as they feared any repercussions they would receive for insolence.

"I shall make the Employers know the fear you are so accustomed to," he sneered malignantly at his subjects, "I will force them to trust Coraks, so that his betrayal will be even greater."
