You'd think since it is the future they would deal with criminals in the most humane way possible, but dying from one of those guns looks quite painful

So sad. I still don't understand half the thread rules on this forum- What does it matter if a thread gets super-long and super-awesome? There's page skippers, aren't there? And what if a thread from a couple months or a year ago suddenly become relevant again, huh? What if the next edition of a game was just like an older edition, what about that?

Also, on-topic off-topic, does anyone know what's up with Sailor Moon Crystal? Is it done for the season? Is it done for good? Because I've never actually seen the Outer Senshi in anime form before- only ever read about them in fanfics, where it seems like they're pretty integral to the story, yet here we are.

Also kinda want to start watching Bladedance of Elementalers again, simply because of Legend of Korra withdrawl. I wanna see awesome Elemental Fighting Action, dangit! Yet I don't know if Bladedance is any good for that, or if, like Infinite Stratos, it devolves into a harem anime with occasional references to fighting.

Well, just don’t be subconsciously pre-disposed for criminal activity and you won’t get shot. They have a non-lethal setting

I forget the exact quote, but “I love it when the dominators get all serious"

Electromagnetic Waves. From what I read, it's in the novel.

Psycho-Pass: The Novel is written by Makoto Fukami, one of the anime's script writers. There's more violence and sex in the novel and several scenes not present in Psycho-Pass, although some are incorporated into the Extended Edition. Volume A and B were published on February 4 and April 4, 2013.

Philosophy, violence, sexual tension and questions of morality are all over that show and i'm loving every minute of it.

Are you talking about A Certain Magical Index or A Certain Scientific Railgun? I'm not as fond of Index, as it tends to involve a guy with no real super powers telling all the people around him with super powers to go home so he can run at that bad guy with super powers and try to punch them. Railgun on the other hand is a spin off of Index and I rather like it because the guy's largely left out and now we get to see the actual bad asses with all the super powers go at it. It amuses me that Index is supposed to be the one aimed at guys and Railgun for the female viewers.

Whaaaa? Maybe Certain Magical Index would be more up your alley- a little less lolisexualism, and a bit more traditional anime action. It's interesting, though, because the 4 series (2 Scientific and 2 Magical) are in the same world and timeline, and even have some crossover going.

Alright, let's do this.

Spoiler:
So, those weird zombie kids all have psychic powers due to reasons, including telepathy, telekinesis, other tele-stuff and other stuff-kinesis-things (they make stuff happen with their minds, as you probably knew.) For Reasons, Kaneda also gets psychic powers. But for reasons, his are super powerful, and because he's older, he can't control them as well. So one of the things he was doing with his powers was amping up his biology (he may or may not have been juicing- I'm really not sure what's going on with the pill motif), and so that started going out of control and he mutated into giant demonbabycancerfetus.

It turns out that what happened to Kaneda also sorta happened to another one of the zombie kids waaay back when. That kid was named Akira, but instead of him going demonbabycancerfetus, instead he started teleporting/collapsing all matter around him into Astral space (that's the giant glowy sphere bomb). Somehow Akira got killed or knocked out while doing his Astral Teleport bomb, saving the city from destruction. The Scientists then dissected/vivisected him and saved his bits and slices in the little tank things- but because his psychic powers were so strong he was still conscious and thinking. He activated his Astral Teleport Bomb again in order to suck all of Kaneda's demonbabycancerfetus-ness into Astral space, where Kaneda could just be Kaneda instead of being suborned by his powers. He also pulled the other Zombie kids in with him (or they jumped) so they could all be happy hanging out together in Astral Space.

Or they're all Jesus. Depends on how religious you are.

I think that's it. That's how I see it, anyways.

Watch Railgun. They drop the harem stuff and pretty much All of the magic and just go with the science side with psychic with super powers. The one girl is still a raging pervert with a lady boner for Railgun and played up for comedy relief though.

Just one minor correction to your otherwise fine summary, but it's Tetsuo not Kaneda that loses control of his new powers.

The problem with trying to understand the anime of Akira is that it's trying to fit in all the story from the Manga without becoming a 6 hour film. There is much chopped out and many story elements that are altered for time saving, and without knowing the Manga not everything is properly explained.

Incidentally, the Manga is well worth reading for the artwork alone.

How I see it:
Spoiler:
After the accident where Tetsuo crashes into Takashi, the government find that he has some latent psychic powers that are exhibited by Takashi, Akira and the other test subjects. The scientist therefore perform some operations/experiments to awaken Tetsuo's powers.

However, Tetsuo doesn't want to play ball and escapes. Going looking for Akira, who he thinks is the cause of his headaches, he finds what is left of Akira after the scientists had finished with him following the explosion that destroyed Tokyo when he fully awoke.

As Tetsuo is no longer taking the powerful drugs that the government supplied, his powers become uncontrollable and he eventually turns into the blob, which is a precursor to fully awakening. As Takashi and Co don't want to see Neo-Tokyo destroyed in the same way as Tokyo was, they convince (revive, in the Anime) Akira to absorb Tetsuo.

*Tetsuo's presence is enough to revive Akira in the Manga and they go on to form a cult with Tetsuo in charge and Akira as the figurehead.

In doing so, Akira also absorbs Kaneda and the Colonel. The three test subjects sacrifice themselves to save them both. However, not before Kaneda gets a look into the mind of Tetsuo as he is absorbed by Akira. Hence all the flashbacks. As Tetsuo is absorbed, the memories fade into the crazy, pretty patterns that you see, before Kaneda is teleported to safety.

Akira (along with Tetsuo, the test subjects and quite a lot of concrete) disappears into pure energy / another dimension / the psychic domain / whatever you like... possibly never to return.

This leaves Kaneda, Kei, the colonel and anyone else that survived, to pick up the pieces and start anew.

For some reason that story reminds me of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh and why do women love Hetalia so much, because I've noticed that... they go nuts for that anime...
It's funny but... is it as simple as I assume it is?
(In which they just want to see these guys do it with one another, dressed in funny clothes with funny accents and stereotypes?)

Also that anime is extremely dark if you...like start thinking about the history of those countries and stuff...

That was such a fun series. Very much like an anime adaptation of D&D and i hear that was actually the intention or what was done.

Does anybody have good recommendations for anime?

I didn't complete finish watching 'monster' but i liked what i saw. I have also been liking 'parasyte: the maxim' which can't release enough episodes to satisfy me.

I'm only halfway done with 'monster' and should probably go back to it. Berserk is another good sounding anime but i'd rather have more episodes or a new series (think i heard there was a few movies or a new show coming for it). Honestly berserk seems almost never updated and it seems to be taking forever.

So i dunno possibly a psychological/philosophical mind-f**k of an anime would be good. I hear there's quite a few of those and i never really finished evangelion either. I'd prefer to watch a show with less big robots and pre-teens or harem girls. I like harem girls as they're hot but it's a clear sign the story was put on the back-burner. Though it is a harem 'freezing' seemed messed up but at times needlessly cruel as if people are even sh*ttier than normal (which is a feat i must admit). Gotta admit though 'freezing' knows how to draw attractive women if nothing else.

Ergo Proxy. Welcome to mind-feth central, with no mechs, teens (there's no pre-teens in Evangelion, ffs, learn your facts!) or harem (if you consider Evangelion an harem, I'm b+tch slapping you ) and the only anime I had to double check more than once I was watching the right ep and I didn't skip any because of how different the end of the previous and the start of the next was.

Now very very quickly watch eps 13 and 14. You can avoid the 5 stages of grief. I was unfortunate enough to watch it as it aired........ then proceeded to wait ...all...the...months... to find out what happened next.

Spoiler:

I had probably watched the final scene of 12 about a dozen times trying to gauge bullet location, splatter trajectory from the wound, and the approximate origin of the blood pool. Before the new season had started, I had convinced myself Inaho was shot in the eye and still alive..... and that he would probably have aldnoah power. Those cliffhangers get to ya.

Ah, La Blue girl.... thsoe were good times.

The live-action version was hilarious, but not on purpose.

....

So I'm watching Chaos Head, Servant X Service, and that one with the overlong title that translates into roughly: "No matter what, it's your fault I'm not popular" all at the same time. Because anime night is wierd on my street.

Anyway, I'm digging Servant X Service and the really long title one, but Chaos Head? Man, I'm hating that. I hate literally *all* of the characters (which hasn't happened since Evangellion) and the only reason I'm still watching it is because the show started with a flash-forward of the main character being impaled on an impossibly huge sword and I want to see that happen again, because I hate that guy so very, very much.

I recently finished watching Dusk Maiden of Amnesia and I'm surprised how much I loved it. It's a serious mood-whiplash anime, in that it goes from goofy comedy, to romantic comedy, to mystery, to horror, to tragedy, right back to goofy comedy. Normally I don't like shows/movies that can't figure out what they want their tone to be, but for some reason I really dug this one.

Also, if you guys haven't seen it, check out I Can't Understand a Word My Husband Says. It's a series of 5-minute shorts about a married couple, one of whom is a shameless otaku. The first season just ended, but we have been promised a new season in the spring.

Fun fact: Chaos;Head is from the same guys that did the Steins;Gate and my main reason for wanting to watch it; but I have only managed the first 3 eps... It wasn't as enjoyable as S;G, that's for sure, It's pretty strange and somewhat mind-feth too. And I agree with the MC hate too. And I've never really understood wtf is going on with the anime girl that's giving him advices: Split personality? Spirits? Hallucinations? I really have to try and endure it and finish it.

Oh yeah absolutely like how satellizer has a step brother that sexually abused her. Just gonna say she meets up with him later on in the story.

Also i don't know why but for whatever reason people seemed to be ridiculously cruel in the anime at least which was slightly different than the manga. The anime is infinitely more ecchi with breast nudity with women being ridiculously common as if the first thing to get torn off is always the shirt surrounding the boobs.

The show is a rather curious thing because on one end you have a hot harem but sometimes it takes away from the story which totally actually exists in the manga at least. Also you have to admit whoever draws women for freezing knows how to draw the most spectacularly stunning and attractive women. There's a couple mangas with that level of detail in art but usually without any decent story to back it up.

I have to say the romantic progression of the story is a little annoying. You can tell satellizer and the main guy want to tap each other so hard but it's taking forever for stuff to happen. I read tidbits of the manga and they seemed to at least let each other know how they felt about each other and that they both want to bang like rabbits.

----------

Today i'm curious about an anime called 'phantom' or 'phantom: requiem for phantom'. It's about some female assassin and a main male protagonist who are destined to bang i guess. I don't know the actual story but something tells me that happens esp. with the semi nude poster of the couple on it's preview. The story seems to radiate a tragic story which is rather sad as i don't like to see people that 'love' each other (want to get it on because of story reasons or attractiveness) get killed off. Then again i dunno maybe they do love each other.

Yes, though I still prefer the dub, I prefer dubs... often it really makes the show just that much better (Hetalia doesn't work without the dub, because the dub, being english, captures their accents and whatnot a lot better, that and... western people seem to understand stereotyping better then the Japanese, I donno...)

Fun fact Rozen Maiden was the anime that lead to my knowledge of Ball Jointed Dolls (that's what they are in the show) and I have 17 of the bastards.
I think there's a new series out but I've not seen it yet. Looks good.

I know this is terrible but have you ever noticed the blonde haired little girl (satako) is always getting her *ss kicked. Seriously she gets her *ss kicked so much she even starts getting hallucinations of her *ss getting kicked. I almost think it's an accidental humorous and yet terrible part of the show.

Of all the girls in the show i'm more into the twins the most. At first i liked the girly one (shion) that worked in the maid cafe till she ended up being totally batsh*t crazy. The main one we see though is mion and a hot tomboy girl that is fun to be around is always nice. Perfect girlfriend material. Make your f***ing move keichi.

Yeah, same here. That last episode was great.

Getting annoyed with Inaho though. So, the reason he's so great now is his mechanical eye. Why the hell could they not put the same targeting software into the actual Mechs? This makes no sense.

-tan
A small child's slurred mispronunciation of -chan. If it is used by an adult at all, unless speaking to an infant or toddler, the person is most likely either being sarcastic, ironic, or a poser Kawaiiko. A non-anime example of this is a certain fast food fried chicken chain's mascot in Japanese advertising, an adorable little girl, "Bisuke-tan," who carries an enormous biscuit on top of her head; her name can probably best be translated as "Widdle Biscuit." This is also how the name for the OS-tans, the Super-Deformed mascots representing operating systems and software programs, was derived — and by extension, any young female anthropomorphization.

-tama,,-chama
Similarly, these are baby-talk versions of -sama, with the exception of "obocchama" which is used to address the son of someone who is of higher social standing, roughly equivalent to "young master."

I get the impression it's not just the eye but a hybrid of the eye's software plus his own brain. He referenced in the chess game that it's part of both, and he even seemed to be talking to the eye and having it respond later on. Also they did say it was an early prototype. Also I do like the guy because even while he seems robotic and emotionless on the surface you can tell there's stuff going on under it and he just doesn't express it much or the same way, which is a nice change of pace from the typical protag that over emotes everything.

It probably is that. The first season spent a LONG time establishing the world and all the major players in it. Even so, it's all just so well written, the dialogue is great! And everyone is still secretly a badass. xD

I honestly can't recommend "Try Fighters" enough . This "expensive add campaign" is more entertaining than other Gundam shows, I have now finished watching the episodes released after the break and damn, the hype and over-the-top action just goes to ridiculous levels.

You KNOW a Gundam is awesome when it's burning ... IN SPACE. Or explodes an entire asteroid with his burning fist.

You KNOW a Gundam is awesome when it's burning ... IN SPACE. Or explodes an entire asteroid with his burning fist.

Gods, Transformers was nothing more than an expensive add campaign too and is one of my favorite shows of all time: Not many work, but when they do, DAMN.

Blasphemer... I haven't even bothered watching more then 2 episodes of try... the second I saw the main mech would be something from G gundam I was done.

I have been slowly getting up to date thanks to my daily work route (so this is my opinion missing 4 eps before being up-to-date): It's a shounen, but a very different shounen from the usual. It has decent character development in a short time, the main characters are interesting and quite funny, one of that main guys is completely OP and there's a good reason for it, and the battles are fast and furious (and not many of them tbh, hence a lot of time for char development). This is a bonus for some people too: There's no fan-service. None whatsoever so far.

Stuff you may dislike: This falls under the trope of kids with powers, so most "fighters" are between 13-18. Except one character, it just makes no sense but hell, that's anime for you.
Also, the art style. This anime is from "Toei Animation" , AKA, "The guys that are doing One Piece for over 15 years" - It feels like their entire team is addicted to One Piece's art style. When I started watching it, the characters looked so simplified so... "One Piece-d" I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy the show, but thankfully the anime is so entertaining I just don't care about it anymore.
Ah yes, and no blood or gore. This is family-fun oriented although there are some casualties.

Now, about KanColle. Episode 3 was Madoka Magica all over again. The death flags were popping up like crazy, but c'mon!!! I THOUGHT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE GIRLS UND PANZER, GODS DAMN IT!

Spoiler:
I can't believe ship girls die in this anime :( I saw the flags, but I couldn't believe it. Then outta nowhere BAM! A girl dies. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CUTE AND FUN SHOW?!

Lol what?!

Wtf happened to the show?! I only saw the first season and they basically conquered rena's homicidal mania and love of homemade bombs and big machetes with the power of friendship (lol what?). I wish i was joking. Not to mention people thought the big bad was aliens that spread a virus to people. I'm just going to call it 'Aliens Herpes/AIDS' because that's infinitely funnier. It makes sense because they think they have worms and they can't stop scratching every time they get an itch (which is frequent).

I still feel like satako always gets the sh*t beaten out of her regardless of the situation. It's usually her like the sacrificial jesus christ thing or as i like to call it 'My First Little Martyrdom Playset' which was made by some rip-off company in thailand which is also the makers of 'Snake in a Log'. Anyway her in the cross torture chamber designed for children with a stepping stool and all, the abusive uncle, the time she picked on rika in season 3 and gets beaten up, shion beating her up in the arc where shion goes crazy and getting her *ss kicked by her own delusions. I'm sure the list goes on and most of this was just in season one. I mostly only watched season one. Also am i the only one creeped out by the pedo doctor that wants to marry her and adopt her for probably that reason. He's so open about it too. It's just so weird how the people in that show are so cool with it that they don't even mind.

Also the nazis in 'Hellsing Ultimate' kind of turned me off to the show a bit. Same things goes with the Far East foreigners when i started seeing 'Full Alchemist Brotherhood'. I dunno maybe i should give both shows another chance.

Speaking of 'Hellsing Ultimate' i'm kind of surprised how the original hellsing had the priest try to make Seras a vampire instead of a ghoul, in ultimate he tries to rape and kill her or turn her into a ghoul while groping her big boobs and i'm wondering if in the hentai or similar if he actually did freaking rape her. Sheesh things must've gotten toned down a ton. Both ways work for me but it seems a lot more uncomfortable in Ultimate.

Yeah, that's pretty weird 0_o

My reaction when something perverted like that happens is generally this :

There is an episode where one of the teachers basically threaten him to stop doing it, though.

Keiichi does the same thing too, so I think it's making fun of harem anime. The animation style is similar to that cutesy-slice of life stuff, after all.

Satako does get it rough, but it is connected to the "Curse"
She gets it rough early season 2 as well.

I talked about Hellsing in the last post if you want to reply to that.

Perhaps a little it's making fun of harem animes. Honestly i think keiichi is such a lucky guy at his age. Basically he lives in a village where he's the only boy of rena's and mion's age. That said it's a little weird that even though they're stuck to the village they keep going into the city and the village seems to include a lot more people than just the few of them. Perhaps the village is just much bigger than i thought. It seems very backwater to me though.

Mion's more my style though. Pretty girl with erm as 'dark souls' might put it a 'nice chest ahead' and possibly a gamer (like the card game type) and tomboy.

-------

I'm pretty sure kalashnikov marine was talking about what i directed at 'TheDraconicLord'.

I've been playing video games with Cthuluspy on steam a little (xcom: enemy unknown) as well as talked to him (mostly what i do these days with him) and i talk with 'TheDraconicLord' on steam.

At the very least the evil laughter in the english dub is much more camp whereas in the japanese dub it's a lot more horrifying.

No i haven't and i'm incredibly curious. Would you say this is as bad of a trailer and as unfitting as say the original 'dragon age' trailer? I could link it if you've never seen it or have forgotten.

I think the trailer was shortened on TV but it was about as unfitting to the actual game as that.

And FMA has a bit of both.

Despite anime (manga for the original) being mostly viewed as just eye-candy and "stupid" stories for teens, it manages more complex charters and story than most of the gak being sold as good literature.

Decided to put this here as a related subject rather than make a whole new thread about it;

Monty Oum has passed away. Our friend, inspiration and co-worker Monty Oum passed away yesterday afternoon at 4:34 PM surrounded by people who loved him very much. Ten days ago Monty suffered a severe allergic reaction during a simple medical procedure that left him in a coma. Although he fought bravely, his body was not able to recover. During his time in the hospital he was well cared for and never in pain at any time.

Monty is survived by his wife Sheena, his father Mony, his brothers Woody, Sey, Chivy and Neat, and his sisters Thea and Theary, as well as a countless number of fans and friends. We were so proud to be a part of his life and we will miss him greatly.

Your generosity during the hours after the public statement on Friday will help his family deal with the costs of his care and his passing. You made an incredible difference during a difficult time and we cannot thank you enough.

As for honoring Monty, we will do that in our own way. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we ask that you simply do something creative. Use your imagination to make the world a better place in any way that you can. If you know Monty like we do, then you know he would certainly be doing that if he were able to.

Monty was 33 years old.

We love you, Monty.

Rooster Teeth made the announcement earlier today. How RWBY will be effected has not been made clear.

What episode are you on? It takes several different turns. There's an important one actually.

Spoiler:
His mother is taken over by a parasite and then he is almost killed by said parasite. Near death Migi fuses a part of himself into the main character which then becomes a cross between human and parasite in the sense his abilities have grown more powerful but his ability to feel emotion has diminished greatly.

Also, what exactly does "Kantai" mean? Because I figure KanColle is one of those weird 'odd-abbreviations' the Japanese do, for Kantai Collectors (based on what the game sounds like). Collectors is simple enough. But what's Kantai?

A little bit, and Brotherhood has more of the kind of "kiddie" animation, for lack of a better term. Like the oversized sweat drops and extra-cartoony punchlines. But the fight scenes are just as well animated, and plot and pacing are phenomenal once you get into the meat of the story.

Indeed. FMA: Brotherhood by far blew out the 2003 anime out of the water when it came to the overarching plot, particularly the really iffy ending concerning the 2003 one. Plus the 2003 one didn't have one of the most badass characters in Brotherhood:

The usual translation is "Fleet Girls Collection" but the literal translation is as Draconic described above.

As far as it being a weird thing goes, is it really any odder a concept then a lot of other anime? Look at perennial Dakka Animu favorite Infinite Stratos, or Strike Witches, cute girls strap weapons to themselves and make with a spot of the old ultra violence, GuP takes it on a slightly more realistic bent, but the bits and pieces are all there.

Yeah. I'm actually kinda okay with that. I like moe stuff, and I like brutal, soul rending dramas with tons of character death, outside of a few exceptions, I'm really not a huge fan of that. Oh well they seem to be following a bit of the historical plot with the fight for W Island
Spoiler:
(the real IJN Kisaragi was sunk there, by an aircraft) so with Midway likely coming up we're either going full tilt towards drama and feth your feelings with a rusty chainsaw, or we'll see start seeing significant divergence. (for those who don't know The Battle of Midway was a critical defeat for the IJN where the entire Kido Butai, including Akagi, who's been holding the mentor position as of now show wise were sunk by American aircraft.

I'm not a naval history buff, I just love big fething ships with big fething cannons like the Yamato, so I had no idea about what happened at the "W" island. I thought KanColle would be like "Girls und Panzer" but with ships instead of Tanks so I was dumbfounded when it happened.

Maybe all of this discussion should be in spoiler tags?

Spoiler:
From what the trans nationals (mostly Japanese) are saying on my KanColle forum, it's not so much a love for Kisaragi, but fear for their own shipfus. I think it'll be good if balanced right, it means there will actually be a bit of arc, some character development perchance beyond Fubuki doing her Rocky routine. The actual chance for being sunk provides a little actual weight beyond the usual moeimu. Like I said I just don't want them to go too far. Madoka territory would make me a sad teitoku.

I kinda felt Kisaragi's death was poorly handled however, they just ran around setting up as many death flags around her as they could...

Yes, you are right, that's what I wanted to say with the "No one liked the idea of their ship-waifu sinking", that there's a possibility of their own going down.

And yes, I really don't want madoka territory either, but it was yet again the ep3 that said "Hey, this gak ain't all sunshine and rainbows!". I just want my fun and cute moe from KanColle, I have plenty of drama and tear-jerking moments thanks to Death Parade.

Oh, and yes, the flags were there, I just couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe they would actually do it. Even when she said "I'll tell you after you return from the mission", that MASSIVE flag got me thinking but yet I thought "Nah. it can't be. It just can't be."

-_-

First off, they're war-machines/soldiers. Why do they have exposed flesh? Second, what Soladrin said. Third- why young, cute girls? Is there something that prevents leather-faced, hardboiled matrons or professional, hardened soldiers from becoming battleship girls? Fanservice isn't all 'sexytimes'. It includes any instance of having an attractive character when an un-attractive one would fit the role better. Do any of the girls have horrific burn scars from enemy bombing runs, or missing limbs? Burnt hair? Torn ears, or scars bisecting their noses? Calluses? Fanservice. Granted, that's something that you run into in any and all media- sex sells, after all, and people are generally more willing to continue looking at things that are pleasing to the eye.

Oh, and @Soladrin.

I just can't ever take Gundam seriously with all the 'PWEEEeee' and 'FwooOOSH' sound effects they always use. Would it kill them to do a little updating to their sound libraries?

Not really that crazy. Seems to me to be a rather bog-standard "Take favorite anime characters and place them in a completely different situation". One of the better Avatar:The Last Airbender fanfictions is about a Tibetan monk on the run from a young Japanese naval officer during WWII, who happens to somehow get help and traveling companions in the form of a pair of Inuit siblings.

Though there was one fanfiction where Optimus Prime ends up as a Green Lantern that was pretty awesome.

pesonally I do enjoy some comedic boob wiggle or panty shots in ym anime, all he better if accompanied by a punch to the face of the closest male character.
so a friend suggested Fairy tale and I have nothing to do for the next hour or so.

Bah! Pyromancy. Just once, I'd like to see a main character who's element was, I don't know, Water or Stone or Wood or something. Heck, even Metal! It's always Fire or 'Holy' or "Demonic" or something. Why don't you want to watch dudes punch other dudes with giant stone fists?

Go watch Law of Ueki. He punches people with trees. It's also one of my old favourites.

HERESY! HERESY OF THE WORST KIND! Not even exterminatus can help with that heresy! Frak!!

Ok, Log Horizon just keeps getting better. I love how they always, and it seems it's always, drop a bombshell of lore outta nowhere and in the most casual possible way. Loved to see Rudy and Isuzu getting closer too.

Not only that, the mysterious element they have been slowly adding with the Odyssey Knights, I'm really, REALLY curious to know what's going on with them.

EDIT: An Hydra Gundam.... A MOTHER FRAKKING HYDRA GUNDAM!!! Ok, first season's mechs were very standard, and I mean VERY standard besides a single exception, the bear one; This second season they just said "People, it's time to turn it up to 11!". Voltron, Fairy Gundam, SDs, Dragons and now an Hydra.

I can't wait for the next episode. Especially since it seems like they want to harass the Try Burning Gundam (The hydra was fairly apt in my opinion as this opposing teams idea to take down the Burning is to cause extreme physical pain to Sekai....... which is smart, but messed up. *especially with the grins they had*)

wait, don't worry, I'm not, I go to the gym four nights a week I can't be.

I like pyromancy because I like fire. there's something calming in the way it flows, and something very deep in the way it turns anything to ash.
It's also fething awesome blowing crap up.

Uh... about that.

They're not actually ended per se. They're taking a break for now from Movies to restructure their company, though to what no one knows as of now. Take this with a grain of salt however, as the trailer for a movie concept they currently have is not hand drawn it is animated. :/ (To me it isn't the same.)

Defenition of Otaku:
(in Japan) a young person who is obsessed with computers or particular aspects of popular culture to the detriment of their social skills.

It isn't even an anime thing to begin with anyway. It's just been used like that by weeabo's.

Anime is an aspect of popular culture. The word has evolved over the years to any one with an overarching obsession. Train spotter type people here who keep detailed logs about the trains they've seen, own many thousands of dollars worth of related product, etc would be considered train otaku there, and yes those existed before Rail Wars aired.

Funny enough, the movies' Shinji isn't actually that bad. I actually felt he was a decent enough character, I was very surprised how they managed that. They turned one of the most infuriating characters into a nice enough guy.

Then I saw 3.0

Then the world started making sense again.

Frak Shinji.

Frak him to Hell.
