New releases from Khurasan Miniatures (LATEST RELEASE October 8, 2019 - 20mm hard scifi) @ 2016/02/11 19:12:49

Post by: khurasan_miniatures

I've been asked to make this a single thread on Dakka, so here goes! SCROLL DOWN FOR LATEST RELEASES.

[15MM POST APOC] Khurasan releases post-apoc survivors camp parts

We've just released a set of items for a 15mm survivors' camp: A pair of individual tents; two mattresses (one with pillow and sheet, the other bare); a chest of drawers used for storage; a campfire with either a flame or ember insert and an optional grill to place over the embers; two shopping carts, one of which may optionally be portrayed as empty; and a sprue of items -- a pack of water bottles, a camping water cooler, a dutch oven and two frying pans.

Even if you don't use them all together in a camp, these are very useful bits for a post-apoc game, and could certainly be used in other modern sci fi or horror gaming. Available now (it's a few items down on the linked page, but is also available on our terrain items page):

Thanks for making the single thread, Khurasan! This should make it much easier to track your new releases for folks, since they can just subscribe to this thread and see anything new you guys put out

I personally love your stuff, and it seems like certain things might even have use outside of 15mm, even if it's listed as scaled as such (and I know you have a bit of 28mm, too).

Looking forward to seeing more!

We are very pleased to release the first army in our 15mm "Late 16th Century" range -- the Spanish. This was the period that saw the mighty tercio at its apex, with Spain at war in the Netherlands, attempting invasion of England, intervening in the French civil war, and sending troops to aid the Irish.

Armoured pikemen

"Pica seca" (unarmoured pikemen)

Arquebusiers

Musketeers

Infantry command

Corazas (heavily armoured pistoliers)

Lancers

Armoured mounted arquebusiers

Unarmoured mounted arquebusiers

Heavy cavalry command

Light cavalry command

High command

Artillery is coming soon. The "herreruelos" were actually German Reiters, and they are available now as well, but they haven't been painted up for display yet. All mounted codes can choose the simpler horse furniture or the fancier version with long rump straps.

Available now:

We are very pleased to expand our range of mutant soldiers for our 15mm "End Times" post-apocalyptic range. The existing mutant supersoldiers and warlord models are very popular and are often purchased in mutiples so we've had six more poses in order to enhance the pose variation in larger forces:

1) a set of three more mutant supersoldiers, mostly armed with improvised clubs

2) a set of mutant soldiers, the soldiers being not quite as massive as the supersoldiers, but still stronger and fiercer than a human, and all armed with firearms

Both new sets are available now, at the link provided.

We are very pleased to release our latest models for our rapidly expanding 15mm Modern Middle East range -- Afghan irregulars, suitable for Mujahideen, Taliban, and other irregulars in Afghanistan.

There are two basic fighter sets -- with AK47s or with SMLEs. The SMLE continues to be used to the present day, and Western soldiers in Afghanistan report that these remain a considerable menace, with their long range and considerable accuracy. Commanders and Squad support weapons have been released as well.

These are perfect for fighting each other, 1980s Russians, or Modern Western forces such as our modern US Army or our upcoming modern British. They are available now:

We are very pleased to release our latest "ancients" army in 15mm scale, the Sung Dynasty Chinese. This is the period in which the Chinese emerged from the chaos of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms era, establishing a strong central government. They eventually lost northern China to the Jurchen-Jin, and when those nomads were overrun by the Mongols, the Southern Sung engaged in an epic four decades war with the Mongols, the longest contest the Mongols had to fight in the Conquest period.

It's a complex army with many codes available, and more to come. The webstore page is here:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/sung-chinese.html

Here are a few previews, but all the available codes can be seen on the webstore. Their Zhuang "southern barbarian" allies are also available.

Probably, yes. I accepted it from a sculptor and made it without realizing what it was. People ask me for it constantly so every once in a while I cast a handful up and sell them for a short time. I mostly just do it as a favor to the customers, don't really make any money off it.

Will we see the Tah-Sig or more of the 22nd Century stuff launch soon? I might have to get a Kestrel and the Tah-Sig might just be enough to make me pull together an order. Plus, I might be able to influence Highlord Tamburlaine to try some 15mm games with the Tah-Sig.

We are very pleased to release the newest codes in our Soriog Alien Empire range, the Raug. These fierce predators serve their Soriog masters in subject regiments of Ceepay -- slightly taller than humans, they are formidable adversaries in their own right. As a somewhat restive subject population, however, they are not sufficiently trusted to provide their own command at platoon level, a Soriog magnate invariably leading the platoon along with an assistant. Often attached to a platoon will also be a Raug Winghowler (seen as a healer by the Raug, identified as powerful practitioners of psionic medicine by the Federal intelligence), and between two and four Soriog "gun dogs" for heavy fire support.

The packs released today are the Raug Ceepays with autoguns ...

... Raug Ceepays with section support weapons ...

... and Raug platoon command (which contains two Soriogs).

The "gun-dogs" will be released very soon.

We are very pleased to release the first codes for our Timurid range in 15mm -- the core of this army, the Turco-Mongol Horse. Timur-i Lenk, also known as Tamerlane or Tamburlaine, was quite a colorful character, picturesquely terrible, and his army forged one of the great empires of all time. The armour and equipment of these models represents warriors from Timur's lifetime.

The codes are:

Timurid high command

Timurid cavalry command

Timurid Guard or Tarhkan (hero) elite cavalry

Timurid Cavalry Archers (the bulk of the army)

Timurid Tadjik (ethnic Persian) levy infantry

More codes will be made, but gradually, at about the same rate as the Kofun range was updated. Available now:

We are very pleased to release our second vehicle from our Europe 46-49 range, the E-25 Fuchs.

This vehicle concept was one of the more useful designed for the Entwicklung ("E") series of powerful but easier-to-manufacture designs. The E series implemented lessons learned from the rapid but somewhat haphazard German vehicle development after the first experiences with the T-34. Had the war continued for a year or two more, it's likely many of the E designs would have been fielded -- in fact manufacture of a prototype of one, the superheavy E-100, was carried on in fits and starts until abandoned in 1944.

The model shown above was gorgeously painted by Heresy Brush -- it looks like a photograph of a real jagdpanzer! Available now -- it joins our popular M34 US superheavy tank:

LOL, that's my HTML skills for you! I'll fix it, thanks.

Anyway, yes will definitely let everyone know when the Warpdrakes are available. I think they'll be of interest to 40k gamers especially as they'll be gothic flavored reptilian space warriors, so basically 15mm reptilian space marines. :-)

They're being made now but may take a while, because the sculptor is working on something for another company (a big one, but probably shouldn't say which). The Warrior Priests have not been started yet so I'm afraid they'll be a while. I made the tactical decision that the Warpdrakes should come first.

Eventually there will also be a Chosen Speaker who is more forward looking and allows the Warpdrakes to fit him out with futuristic weapons and armour.

Some day I may even have a world serpent sculpted, basically a huge dragon. Possibly not winged, more Godzilla-like.

We are very pleased to release our latest model for the 15mm Modern Middle Eastern Wars range, and the first armoured vehicle specific to that range, the Merkava Mark 4. This is the interim version, with the solid rear mudguard but pre-TROPHY. The kit is resin with pewter detail parts, including an optional part for "Sampson's Hair" -- the chain and ball application on the lower rear of the turret, meant to detonate ATGMs before they strike the shot trap on the turret rear face. Now that TROPHY is being adopted Sampson's Hair is being phased out but can still be seen on some tanks, and was used in the 2006 invasion of Lebanon.

We are very pleased to release our latest 15mm fantasy model -- the Great Swamp Lizard! This towering beast can eat his way straight through entire enemy armies ... or can even attempt to gobble up the romantic interest of huge island-bound apes (but that's a risky proposition, even for him). It's a salute to the old-style portrayal of a great carnivorous dinosaur -- to many people, this is still the preferred portrayal of T. rex.

The kit is a mixture of resin and pewter, and parts are provided so that he can have his mouth open or closed. (I prefer the mouth closed myself and even considered having him sculpted scratching his head.) It's meant to be really huge in 15mm, so it's large enough to be quite a threat in 28mm scale as well.

It's available now, in our popular Salamen fantasy range:

We are very pleased to release the mechanized infantry elements of our 15mm 1980s-1990s US Army range, both infantry models and an M113.

The infantry are in three sets:

Infantrymen with M16 rifles:

Infantrymen with heavy weapons -- M249 SAWs, M16s with M203 grenade launchers, an M47 Dragon, and an AT-4 LAW:

Infantry command -- four leaders, and two teams of M60 machine gunners

There's also a platoon deal available for the above packs.

The M113 APC comes with both fender options, and two different trim vanes as well. It is resin with pewter detail parts.

We're pleased to release our latest 15mm Late 16th Century set, Master Gunners. These are made in four nationalities -- German, English, Spanish, and Dutch -- but can really be used in any army, especially as master gunners were rather mercenary and often served foreign masters.

They'll soon be followed by the late 16th Century English.

The Master Gunners are available now:

The Zantins are high-tech, non-humanoid aliens and enough models have been made for the gamer to field forces up to company level. There's also a platoon deal available. They are available now (they're at the bottom of the page):

Silly Khurasan, you should have put the Tah-Sig next to one of your basic 15mm human units too!

Any word on those Warp drakes?

Also, since we've got you handy here, refresh my memory if you can.

There were plans at one point for Garn mecha and carriers, weren't there? Did those ever see release (I'm guessing not)? Any chance they ever will?

We are very pleased to release our latest ancients line, the Early Siamese. This range is suitable for the first dynasty, the Sukhothai, as well as early armies of the successor dynasty, the Ayutthaya.

They are available here:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/siamese.html

The codes released are:

King and sub-commander on elephants (elephants not yet having the one man howdah)

War elephants

Guardsmen

Warband with swords

Warband or skirmishers with spear

Archers

The baggage elephants have been made and will be released in a month or so.

1. Will there be gun elephants available? Ayutthayas (and its successors, both Thonburi and BKK also used culverin-mounted elephants all the way through the Haw wars (the 1870s-1880s Siamese campaign in Laos where breech loading rifles saw a debut by any combatants)

^ Culverin with elephant-back platform 'this one shown here is said to be an original piece not a replica'

^ War elephants with either Armstrong mountain gun or Gatling, with Line Infantry and Marines, preparing to march towards Laos to meet the 'Haw Marauders'
(1). back in the early days of King Chulalongkorn, Marines dressed alot like British Naval Brigade which saw action in similar colonial wars, also unlike what modern Thai reenactors or Lakorn casts portrays, line infantrymen rarely wears pith helmets but the white forage caps of british style are chosen, implying that the latter was cheaper and easier to procure)...
(2) AFAIK only gatlings may be fired atop of a mount elephant, I don't think the Armstrong mountain guns can be fired in the similar manner regardless that these guns use small calibre ammo/shell

2. Will there be either Arquebusiers or Musketeers for them? and which type of firearms will there be? matchlocks or flintlocks? and will there also be either Guardsmen variants or 'Peasants Levy' (ไพร่) ones?

We are very pleased to release our latest Cold War/Modern Armour vehicle in 15mm scale, the T-64BV. This would have been the most dangerous adversary Western tanks would have faced on a late Cold War battlefield in Central Europe, combining the advanced features of the T-64 with reactive armour. The vehicle did not see combat during the Cold War but as it was manufactured for the Soviet Union in Ukraine, it is being used by both sides in the current Donbass conflict. We are very pleased to release a 15mm range for the Gasgans, picturesquely horrid savages who constantly raided the Hittite Empire and may have contributed to the downfall of that great civilisation. Also known as the Kaska people or the Kaskians, they were Anatolian highlanders who were able to muster 9,000 men or more, as well as chariots, for their wars on the Hittites and anyone else who got in their way. The range includes warbands, archers, slingers, and a chariot set that gives the gamer the option to build noble chariots or commander's chariots, and includes a Gasgan witch wearing an Anatolian Viper! There's also a warband with two chariots and over one hundred infantry available at a discount.

These models can be used to field a Gasgan army, or Gasgan mercenaries or allies in a Hittite or Egyptian army. They can also be used for other Anatolian tribesmen, including in the Trojan War.

We are very pleased to release the lastest figurines for our 15mm late 16th century range -- those universal infantry mercenaries of the late 16th century, the German Landsknechts. They are available now:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/late16thcentury.html

The term "Landsknecht"continued to be used for German infantry until at least the 1590s, although by this period they might just be called "Germans" or "Fussknechts." Landsknechts and other German mercenaries seemed to be on virtually every European battlefield of the late 16th century, from France to Muscovy, from Scandinavia to the Balkans.

Note that by this period German infantry were gradually replacing the Pluderhosen with billowy trousers without the vents, but both continued to be widely worn, side by side -- actually in the same infantry units -- as period art clearly shows.

The Germans fought in large squares of pikemen, and these still included a certain percentage of halberdiers. Accordingly, both German pike sets have the option to be bought with a dozen halberds in addition to their pikes (so the pack comes with 24 weapons and 12 figurines).

The new sets are:

Later Landsknecht/German Armoured Pikemen:

Same with Halberds added:

Later Landsknecht/German Unarmoured Pikemen:

Same with Halberds added:

Later Landsknecht/German Arquebusiers:

Later Landsknecht/German Infantry Command:

We are very pleased to release our latest line of 15mm Sci Fi models, the modern alien invasion range. Available are the Science Caste, the War Caste, the war robots of the War Caste, and the colossal four legged alien war machine, the city-killing Maneuver Element. We believe that, with the possible exception of a model Ratte released in 15mm scale, and of course some terrain pieces. the Maneuver Element is the largest 15mm model released for tabletop play as a unit. It can be purchased with a variety of leg poses.

A full background for the range is provided, and the intention is that the range can be used against modern combat models, but of course you can use them for whatever you fancy. Available now:

It's past that point, Jake -- someobody gettin his molecular structure rearranged!

I've got something coming up you should like -- part of the background is that some of the grey aliens do not approve of the eradication of the humans and dissent, actively helping the humans. Sometimes these greys go into the field with human armed forces and in the US army they are seen, and treated, as interpreters, so are called "Terps." The US Army infantrymen are worried about the safety of these strange little Terps, so they give them helmets and flak jackets. The aliens don't need them but they wear them anyway because they know it makes the humans feel better ....

The set is a US army infantrymen kneeling down next to an Alien Terp in helmet and flak jacket.

The aliens help the humans develop new tech as well, so I may do modern US Army troops with sci-fi weapons, maybe some add-on parts for my vehicle kits too.

No, not the doctor from the TV show, an actual house! This is an American-style two story house with an attached garage, and a front and rear entrance. It's been made for modern disaster or combat gaming. It's a two part sold resin casting (and this quite heavy).

We noticed a dearth of things of this nature in 15mm scale, most available structures being for model railroading and often a bit off scale. If this is well received we will certainly make more, and perhaps store and so on. The house type 1 joins our post-apocalyptic camp in our zombie range (and is also listed on our terrain page):

We have released the first codes for our 15mm Parthian Empire ranges -- early Parthians, and foot archers for the Parthians or their client states (which are also suitable for Seleucid eastern levy archers).

These are for the earlier part of Parthian history, when they had established themselves in the old satrapy and were at war with the Seleucids and, later, the Republican Romans.  The Iranian Revival in Parthia was not yet in full swing, and chainmail was not yet in use, so these may look a bit different than you're accustomed to, but this was the fighting force that put the scare into the Seleucid army so that they adopted their own cataphracts.

There's some controversy as to whether Parthian cataphracts carried archery equipment, so we have provided a separate gorytos bowcase/quiver with them and the command set so you can decide for yourself whether to add them.  The standardbearers in the command sets are supplied with both a (bare) flagpole and a draco.

We have four codes available now:

Parthian horse archers, early period

Parthian cataphracts, early period

Parthian command, early period

We are very happy to release the first codes in our 15mm Hundred Years War/Late Fourteenth Century range, two sets of English longbowmen. One set is wearing aketons (or gambesons if you prefer) with the other set adding leg harness and chainmail hauberks. Each figurine is provided with its own separate arrow bunch stuck into the ground.

The core period of the range is 1350-1400, when bascinets reigned supreme. A bit into the period (there's some disagreement as to exactly when) the extended visor called the hounskull was adopted, one of the most distinctive and menacing looks ever used by knights. Of course the range will focus on the Hundred Years War to start, and codes for knights in jupons and French infantry types are in production now as well, to be released soon. But other nations will be covered as well, and we are already making comprehensive lines of Spanish and Italians (these will be combined due to the close resemblance between many of their troop types). Look for foot knights and French infantry next, including crossbows, pavisiers and peasants.

Please note these are larger 15s like Testudo and many other more modern ranges.

We are very pleased to release two new codes for our very popular Caveman fantasy range -- Rhino Riders and Headhunters. The Rhino Riders are fairly self explanatory, and are provided with wooly rhinos to bowl over the enemy -- the perfect prehistoric "knights." The headhunters are unmarried adult males who are not permitted to marry or grow a beard until they have taken a head in battle -- their keenness to kill makes them impetuous adversaries.

We are very pleased to release our latest 15mm Soviet/Russian vehicle of the Cold War to Modern period, the BMP-1P. After its trial by fire in the Yom Kippur War, the BMP-1 was found to have room for improvement, and one key issue was the mounting of the ATGM launcher above the main cannon. This was remedied on the BMP-1P, which has a pintle mounted ATGM launching tube. Thousands of these remain in service around the world today.

That is a lovely looking sculpt, the depth of detail looks favourable compared to the Battlefront plastic kit.

Although I wonder if they realise the open cupola leaves them open to cavemen attack??

We've neglected the 15mm Little Carinthia Eldritch Horror range too long, but help is on the way -- the Papal Purgator Battalions have arrived. These include conventional weapons to strip away the damned human followers of the dark powers -- rifles as well as heavier weapons -- but the real demon fighting power is provided by the Exorcists, wielding the Flame of the Sacred Heart. To use the Flame, those fearless souls have to approach the demon ... eye to eye. The Purgators all wear the pointed hood of the penitent -- this prevents demons from seeing their faces and thus stealing their souls.

Limited numbers of super-elite special forces termed "Treaty Troops" also operate with the ExBats. There's a complete background write-up for these forces on the web page as well.

We are very pleased to release six new codes for our 15mm later 14th century range, the first sets of men-at-arms on foot, and more sets of infantry. As most men-at-arms fought on foot in this period rather than mounted, these releases permit the gamer to build the basic components of armies of the period -- either an English herce (longbows flanking men at arms) or the French men at arms formations with crossbows supporting at a distance. In addition to the men-at-arms (these first sets are in jupons), we also have pavisiers, crossbowmen, and armed peasants. (Please note these are the larger "15mm" figures pioneered by Testudo which are now the size offered by several manufacturers.)

Available now:

Knights on foot in jupon, two-handed weapons

We are very pleased to release our latest 15mm modern combat range, for the Vietnam War, 1965-1973. The range focuses on US involvement in the ground war, and its release coincides with the premiere in the US of Ken Burn's latest documentary this Sunday, September 17, as well as the recent book by Mark Bowden on the Battle of Hue.

The first codes in the range are a US infantry squad with M16s without body armour, a pair of M60 gunners, and an NVA squad. We also have an M113 model that is part of the range as well.

Each figurine in the squad is a unique sculpt. The US figures come with separate packs, one per figurine, and the M60s, and the RPD in the NVA squad, come with a bipod if you wish to use it.

The range will be greatly expanded, and the second codes -- a squad with M16s in M69 armour, and a Viet Cong Main Force squad, are being sculpted now.

The first codes are available now:

We're pleased to release a complete range of 15mm West Sudanese, representing the great empires in the western part of immediately sub-Saharan Africa in the medieval and renaissance periods. These included the Mali, Gao, Songhai, Bornu and Kanem Empires, and fought each other, tribes to the south, the Arab powers on the other side of the Sahara, and eventually the Europeans during the age of exploration.

This was a time when "Timbuktu" was a great city in the Mali Empire, and not a synonym for "the end of the world!"

The armies were made up of swarms of tribal infantry archers shooting poisoned arrows, but could field very large numbers of highly mobile light and medium cavalry as well. Supporting troops included infantry swordsmen and javelinmen, and there were elite heavily protected foot and mounted spearmen as well. Some West Sudanese empires, such as Bornu and Kanem, preferred large numbers of close order spearmen with big shields rather than archers as an infantry core. These armies have long been popular with wargamers because of the very interesting mix of troop types, but gamers have always had to fudge on representation in 15mm, so we decided to make dedicated figurines. (Even the oft-used stampeding cattle.)

Too large a range to fully preview, so head over to the store page to check it out.

We are pleased to release two new sets of dinosaurs for our 15mm prehistoric animals range -- Edmontosaurus juveniles and adults.

There are three poses of adults (and these were very large animals indeed) and two poses of juveniles -- a larger chick and a sub-adult. Juveniles were made to add variety, to require protection from the herd, and as an objective for predators.

This was the dinosaur once called "Trachodon" and later "Anatotitan," and well-known to kids as "duck-billed dinosaurs." They are depicted with the fleshy comb on top of their heads, as was suggested by a recent fossil find. Not everyone is certain the comb in the fossil is correct, and some gamers may prefer the more traditional look without it, so it's easy to snip it off with wire cutters and then file down.

We've just released the "Gundogs" for our alien Soriog Empire range in 15mm.

These are large robots with four legs, built around the Hex Cannon energy weapon, which follow the Soriog and Raug around on the battlefield providing heavy close-fire support. They're almost like light tanks, so large are they in 15mm scale -- in fact 28mm gamers can definitely use them as sentry or fire support bots as well. Toward that end we have prepared some comparison photos. The first one shows them compared to a 15mm Raug Ceepay:

We've just released a range of Ottoman Turks for the 15th-17th centuries. The range contains cavalry, infantry, artillery and command. While it was made as part of our Late 16th Century range, for the "Long Turkish War" at the end of the 16th century, the conservatism of Ottoman dress and equipment means that the figures are perfectly suitable for at least one hundred years before and after. There are too many codes to show in this post so below are just two samples. Available now:

We've just released a mini-herd of Struthiomimus in 15mm scale for our Hell Creek range of dinosaurs. These are the so called "ostrich dinosaurs" or "ostrich mimics," which were closely related to the Gallimimus that you may remember from Jurassic Park ("they're flocking this way") but are correctly depicted with feathers, including wing feathers and tail feathers. One pose has a fancy head crest as an adult, the other two being females.

The Hell Creek range is meant to portray all of the major dinosaur species from one time and one place -- Hell Creek is the Late Cretaceous geological formation in Montana which yields Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops. It's meant for fantasy gamers as well as Lost World scenarios, but can be used for straight up dinosaur gaming as well, if there is indeed such a thing!

We are pleased to release a range of 15mm Modern British Army figurines. The British Army has been in constant evolution for the past decade or more, which continues at present, and we decided as a compromise to make the first infantry codes for the late stages of Operation Herrick, so wearing the Mark 7 helmet and with the very heavy weapons load used by platoons in that period.

Backpacks are almost always separate (except, for instance, for the medic, who has his own unique pack) and the models were made so they can have the pack or not. Some of them have the LAW in the pack.

Whilst the helmet is the Mark 7, the Revision Cobra helmet being supplied as part of the VIRTUS kit-out looks similar when the cover is on the helmet, particularly in 15mm scale.

Thanks, the caster has it and apparently the molds are being made. Will have to corner someone into painting it for the store

After that it will be released. It's so big it'll work really well as a T rex size space demon with the 15mm guys, as well as for its original purpose, as a mech-murdering space demon for the 6mm range.

We are very pleased to release the Mark 2 Mekanoid warbots in 15mm scale, three varieties of infantrybot and a very impressive Mark 2 Dragoon heavy warbot. They are available now:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/15mmscifi.html

The three varieties of infantrybot are provided in two pieces, upper and lower bodies. A ball mount is on the lower body and fits into the bottom of the upper body, so that any of the six upper bodies may be matched up with any of the six different lower bodies, and there's a lot of flexibility in how they are positioned, for maximum posability. (Please note that the lower bodies don't have integral bases but the feet are very broad and it's easy to attach them directly to bases.)

The three varieties are the Fusilier, which has one energy weapon arm and one pincer arm, the Jaeger, which has two energy weapon arms, and the Grenadier, which has two pincer arms.

The Dragoon is big and menacing -- as well armed as a light tank, and more durable. It is provided with five legs -- four positioned standing, and a fifth lifted a bit to reflect motion. It also is provided with two pincer arms and two energy cannons so it may be armed in the same varieties as the infantrybots -- two energy weapons, two pincers, or a combination of both. It's large enough to be quite passable as a war robot in 28mm as well.

While the older chasses of the Grenadier and Jaeger are being phased out of active frontline invasion service by the Mekanoids, they are still held in reserve and used in garrison duty, so the existing models will still be available.

We are very pleased to release our first major expansion of our late 14th century European range, Germans and Teutonic Knights. These have been made to capture the unique appearance of the armours and clothing worn by troops who adopted these fashions, which included the Poles and Bohemians, as well as the Hungarians and Serbs and others in Southeastern Europe who often wore German as well as Italian armour. The feudal troops of the Ordensstaat would have worn German styles as well. We've also released models for the Brethren of the Order, in jupons but using the Lithuanian pavise shield. Teutonic, Polish, Lithuanian and Hungarian infantry and lighter cavalry models have been made and will follow these models up in due course.

Available now (they're at the bottom of the page):

We are very pleased to release a range of 15mm New Kingdom Egyptians -- the height of the New Kingdom's might and territorial expanse. The complete range is available now, including Libyan and Nubian tribal auxiliaries:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/newkingdomegyptian.html

These were the Pharaohs of the XVIII dynasty, including Thutmosis III, the "Napoleon of Egypt," who never lost a battle, including the epic Battle Of Megiddo (Armageddon), and took the Empire as far as Mesopotamia.

This period was fairly distinctive from the later New Kingdom so often represented in miniature ranges. In this period the chariots and infantry were lighter and more mobile, with the empire of the attack. Later, reverses and dwindling resources would require that the infantry especially wear more armour.

Each of the three different chariot sets has three different drivers and three different noble archers for maximum posability in this important arm, and the queen who reigned for a time along with Thutmosis III, Hatshepsut, is also provided as an interesting variation for that set. There are also standardbearer runners for the command chariots, as well as Pharaoh's cheetah on a leash, and a certain wild and crazy pharaoh as well...

We are very pleased to release two new codes for our late 14th century Medieval range – handgunners and Livonian javelinmen. In this period handgunners usually skirmished with the enemy, but had to get close for their weapons to be at all accurate, and as a result often wore heavy armour. Livonians fought in the armies of the Teutonic Knights and the Estonians and Finns would have looked the same.

We are very pleased to release two new codes for our popular 15mm Later 14th Century European range, Sergeants/Mounted Crossbowmen, and Turkopolen.

The sergeants would fill in the rear ranks of knightly formations and were often sent off on flank duty. The models come with enough lances, shields, crossbows and quivers to make all three either lance (or javelin) sergeants, or mounted crossbowmen.

They weren't Turks, but the native light horsemen raised by the Teutonic Knights were called "Turkopolen" (Turcopoles) anyway, because they fulfilled similar duties as the Turcopoles had for the military orders in Outremer. They are extremely useful in Teutonic Knight armies.

Both are available now -- the range is getting quite extensive so you may need to do a word search on the page!

We are very pleased to release the first wave of Mongols in 15mm, made as enemies of our huge Feudal European range, but the Mongols are ready first! The first wave has the mounted core of the Mongol army. There are light horse archers, heavier cavalry in leather armour (shown here), the guard cavalry (including a set shooting their bows), and high command.

Each set can be purchased with the short-legged Mongol ponies, or with somewhat larger steppe ponies which the Mongols acquired when they took over, well, virtually everything. The guards and command can also be purchased on armoured horses.

We are very pleased to release our latest space demon, Giganotomorphus rex. These creatures are born ready to fight, and maintain the same appearance throughout their lifetime as they grow larger and larger. So this model, which is about 90mm long from jaws to tail spike, can be used with either 15mm or 6mm models. Used with 15s it's about the size of a large Tyrannosaur -- with 6mm models it's the creature that takes on enemy mecha on equal terms.

We've just released a range of 15mm Dwarves which are available now. Our intent was to make them somber in pose and appearance, plausible and with a strong Norse look and feel. There are packs for command; axemen of course (seen below), including a separate set of elite bodyguards; yeoman types to form a defensive shield wall; and archers. They can be seen here:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/15mmfantasy.html

We are also running a special until around midnight Monday night -- a Dwarf Yuletide Force in which the command set is free. Something to tell your better half about for Christmas perhaps! (Or to treat yourself for the holidays.)

One of my favorite starship lines as a teenager had the humans and four alien races, and one of the alien races were Avian. That range didn't release infantry figurines (they did ships and tanks) and so as a salute to that I released a few codes for an Avian race called the Hauk, who are derived from raptorial birds.

The sets proved surprisingly popular despite the small number of codes, so I decided to expand the infantry with higher level support and similar -- a Weapons and Command set -- which is available now.
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/15mmscifi.html

The set includes a casualty ("right in the wing!"), an officer and senior NCO, a marksHauk, and two weapons platform teams, which come with enough tubes to make a battery of two plasma cannons, or RAM mortars, or one of each. I suppose you can swap them out if you magnetise the parts.

They were supposed to have a light battle mech as well, but unfortunately after being paid for two years ago, the caster still has not delivered it.

Any renders out there of it?

Any word on the scifi dragon guys?

We are very pleased to release our latest model in our Planet 15 range of cinematic sci fi -- the Sea Monster.

It's been made with flippers large enough so that it can get about on dray land for extended periods of time. The model is two parts, each in resin -- the lower jaw being a separate part. The round base shown in the image and the fleeing scientists are not included (the scientists are sold separately by us).

Available now:
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/planet15.html

And it's also been added to our fantasy Salamen range (we think a battle between the sea monster and the Great Swamp Lizard would be great fun, although rather unfair to the sea monster):

We are very pleased to release our latest “Europe 46-49” armoured fighting vehicle in 15mm scale, the Soviet IS-4. A competing design to the IS-3, the IS-4 was basically an “IS-2 from Hell,” with the same huge cannon but heavier armour and a longer hull.

Whilst we provide a fictional background for this range, the IS-4 was in fact actually designed and manufactured, over 200 being built. Soviet armoured philosophy changed in the meantime, with MBTs replacing the medium and heavy tank distinctions, and the IS-4 was stationed in heavy tank battalions in the Far East. However, had there been a war in Europe between the Allies and Soviets on the heels of the defeat of the Germans, the IS-4 would likely have seen action. The IS-4 had early and later stowage and external tank configurations, and pewter parts are provided for both.

Available now.

We have just released four new codes in our 15mm Later 14th century range, for Hungarians. These can use the Germans or our upcoming Italians for their men-at-arms, but they need special codes for the Cumans, the Szekeley border horse, and ethnic Hungarian archers on foot and mounted, and we have released all of those. Cumans are useful in several other armies in this period as well (such as in the Mongol armies and in Russian forces as the Polovetsians (well known for their Dance No. 2 by Borodin!). Hungarians also served in Free Companies in Italy during this period.

Available now, at this link (they are at the bottom of the page):

The Englishmen are (l to r) John of Gaunt, the Black Prince, and the Third Earl of Stafford. The French are Bertrand du Guesclin, Olivier de Clisson, and Louis de Sancerre. As with all of the men at arms in this range, they are available on a variety of different horses (they are shown on the caparisoned horses but also may be purchased with unarmoured or armoured horses.

We have just expanded our 15mm range of Late 14th Century Medievals with three packs plus one booster set. These are Low Countries spearmen, a booster pack for same, Teutonic Knight Dienstleute with spears and pavises, and the same with crossbows.

The Low Countries infantrymen are in eight poses, all protected to differing extents, half with leg armour as well. They have separate shields enough for all eight -- half are depicted in the image without to show how they look. The booster set is the same, but it adds eight of the nightmarish Plancon spiked clubs that dealt such death to the French knights at Courtrai in 1302. The plancon can be added instead of the spear, and you can also stick the plancon on so that it's wielded two-handed. I would recommend using a mix of German and French crossbowmen for the Low Countries, and a mix of Western and (mostly) German knights for the cavalry.

The Teutonic sets have the men in surcoats. These were feared adversaries, the spearmen being very well protected, some even wearing visored bascinets. (The spearmen are depicted in white surcoats but seem to have got a special dispensation from the Brethren to do so, as wearing white was forbidden in the ordenstaat as a symbol of paganism -- except for the Brethren of course!) These would have commonly worn grey and had the Tau cross as a symbol, which looked like a T instead of a complete cross.

We’ve just added the T-72AV tank to several of our Cold War to modern 15mm ranges. This was the T-72A tank with ERA, which makes the tank much more survivable against HEAT rounds and to some extent against other rounds as well. This tank was introduced in the mid 1980s to Soviet forces, and has been widely used by the Syrian government forces as its premier main battle tank.

It’s available now, here:

Khurasan Miniatures are very pleased to release the first models in our 28mm polar fantasy adventure range, Polartrek. The first two models are the Crown Princess Adelaide and her surly teenaged booklugging apprentice, Tyleen. There's a complete backstory and character profiles as well. We are confident that the Polartrek storyline would play out very well in any of a number of fantasy rules systems. The next release will include several different types of animals encountered on Adelaide's polar adventure, and a huge, savage Semgall tribesman who accompanies her to the Northern Pole. Following that will be some lower level pedites (foot soldiers) and other hangers on who accompanied her on her quest.

The first models are available now:

We are very pleased to release seven new codes for our 15mm Late Fourteenth Century range, all for Eastern Europe.  These are Polish and Teutonic Knight sets.  The Polish sets include some troops in scale armour, which remained popular in Poland in this period.  The Teutonic Knight "Knechte" (who were supposed to form up near the baggage and pray as hard as they could) and the Polish Czeladz (followers) sets come with enough spears, shields and crossbows to make all three spear or crossbow armed.  These models are perfectly suitable for the epic Battle of Tannenberg in 1410.

They're available now:

Teutonic Order Knechte or sergeants

Teutonic Order Prussian Levy Infantry

Polish Czeladz (Followers) (use German Knight figurines for Polish)

Lithuanian cavalry

Tartars

Polish "Murderous Rustic" Peasant Infantry with Nasty Weapons

Polish Crossbowmen

We've just released the first set of our 20mm sci fi range, “Under Three Suns,” about a massive human effort to colonize a planet in the habitable zone in the tri-star system Alpha Centauri, which gets more than it bargains for, then MUCH more than it bargains for. The range can be seen here (it's just one code so far):

http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/20mmscifi.html

The first release is of the ColSec forces, very well equipped Colonial Security with armour and weapons brought from Earth. It's a set of seven poses. The models are made for 20mm scale gamers so are approximately 25mm head to sole.

After the colonisation is fiercely contested by the warlike natives, the colony has no choice but the press its youth into action, and the CYRs (Colonial Youth Regiments) are raised, boys 13-15 years old, with cheaper weapons and armour produced by the limited industrial capacity on the colonies as these hang on by the skin of their teeth. The CYRs will be released next, followed by Shunq tribal warriors, who are substantially taller than humans.
