Age of Sigmar started out simple enough. But the first General's Handbook changed a lot of things. Suddenly you could personalise a few things for your army with command traits for your general and artefacts for your heroes. Then dropped the first battletomes which included allegiance abilities. And the amount grew rapidly.
Because I don't like flipping back and forth in my books for every other ability, I created some cards to help keep the important rules right at the table, beside your models.
All cards are available as print files with 3mm bleed and cutting marks, as a 'web' version (for viewing on smartphones/tablets), DIN A4 and US letter printing sheet.
each set contains: cover / card backside, Battle Traits, Command Traits, Artefacts, cards for spell lores and faction specific skills
card size is 63 x 88 mm (same Pokemon, Magic, 40k Datacards, etc.)
language: English
I tried to keep the original wording, but sometimes I had to abbreviate it to fit on the card without scaling down the font size. The rule intentions should still be clear. 'Dice' was continuously replaced with D3 or D6, 'wound roll' with 'To-Wound roll' (same for hit), 'Mortal Wounds' sometimes with 'MW'
each set can be stored in a faction specific card box, with contents listed on the back (instructions)
I will expand these cards further, but don't count on any release schedule or certain timeframe after release of new stuff.
If you find any errors or have suggestions, please let me know. I had fun creating these cards and hope people will find them useful and have fun using them in their games.
These cards are for personal use only and you should always keep your General's Handbook and/or Battletome nearby to solve any conflicts from bad wording on the cards. These cards are only a playing aid and never could nor should replace an official publication.
Please let me know if I have used anything you would like to be removed.

Very nice. I just put together some cards last week for Death. Not as professional and clean looking as yours.
I miss my color printer, might have to get another one for projects like this.
Do you have the default command trait? Probably not as relevant as the default spells, but in smaller games, you might not have a general with a specific one.
Cards for buffs/debuffs are one of the things that drove me to make my cards. While mostly command abilities and spells, I think there are some specific abilities for some armies that do that sort of thing. While all the info for them is on the battlescrolls, it’s nice to be able to slap a card next to a unit to remind yourself who’s getting affected.
You know, I totally forgot about the default Command Ability, mainly because I think it's really easy to use and remember.
Maybe I will add it some day, maybe not, as the 14 cards sheets are the maximum I can fit on a DIN A4.
For buffs and debuffs directly on the battlefield, I use plastic tokens.
Card boxes for all current Battletomes are done, as are the boxes for the listed faction allegiances in the General's Handbook 2017.
I removed the links for the cards, they get reworked and/or tweaked a bit and will be back up as soon as I finish them.
Cards for the already released Battletomes should be back online next week. For the Grand Alliance abilities, I think I'll skip reworking them and just wait for the new GH to drop.
Update: done 'till GH 2017! All Battletome cards are back online.
For the generic Grand Alliance abilities, I'll wait for the GH 2017 to drop.
I re-worked formatting, fixed some errors, added cards for the sub-groups present in the Battletomes (Skyfleets, War Chambers, etc.)
The boxes are fixed and reflect the re-worked contents.
If there are optional cards, like the mentioned specific group ones or the generic Command Ability and Spells, they are separated on the last pages of the print sheet. See the details on the army sheet.
I added a link to a spreadsheet with factions, card numbers, and changes made to the original post.
Update: got the General's Handbook this weekend! Love all these new abilities!
Bit sad that they stripped legacy units of keywords and made the Battle Standards boring...
Anyway, first update is here.
Reworked some formatting on all existing cards (see spreadsheet for changes on which files)
Complete GA Destruction is done.
Order, Death, Flesh-Eater Courts done. Nighthaunt done, but not uploaded yet.

DUDE! I love yours more because they look like MTG cards
Added the category 'AoS Gaming Aids', which right now, only includes stuff from the GH2017, namely cards for Their Finest Hour, Secret Objectives, Victory Points, Treachery Points, Siege Tactics and the Pitched Battles Triumphs.
I used the new and darker Age of Sigmar logo and got rid of bold formatting of (imo) important rule parts. GW got their rules to the point mostly, which would've meant making a whole card in bold.
Keywords and unit names are still formatted differently.
Have fun with them and if you find any mistakes, let me know!
Sal4m4nd3r wrote: Probably better as these fit exactly into a MTG or trading card sleeve.
Well, the small ones fit in the FFG small card sleeves used in X-Wing.
But after printing them out, I like the big cards way better. They have a better feel, and readability is much better.
I'm working on a template for the card box and after that I'll convert everything over to the new format.
I was wondering if you would mind sharing your project file for the card sizes, the originals and the bigger ones. I'm having the idea of doing something similar with the Time of War rules and your setup looks perfect for what I want.
tydrace wrote: I was wondering if you would mind sharing your project file for the card sizes, the originals and the bigger ones. I'm having the idea of doing something similar with the Time of War rules and your setup looks perfect for what I want.
Yeah, I can do that.
These are InDesign CC 2018 files, though, they aren't backwards compatible.
I'm just gonna share the recent Nurgle ones, there are changes I made in comparision to the 2017 files.
What pixel size is the card back? I want to make a Moonclan specific picture for my card backs. I'm doing a spider rider (with night goblin riders) so a mixed Destruction but with all converted Night Goblins.
mDaro wrote: What pixel size is the card back? I want to make a Moonclan specific picture for my card backs. I'm doing a spider rider (with night goblin riders) so a mixed Destruction but with all converted Night Goblins.
The small cards have a format of 41 x 63 mm, with 3 mm bleeding on all sides, so 47 x 69 mm.
To keep a resolution of 300 dpi for printing, your picture should have around 555 x 815 px.
A few things: I decided to do all future cards in the new size format 63 x 88 mm, like tested with Maggotkin of Nurgle.
I'm also working on redoing all previously released cards in this format.
Given the massive amount of allegiances inside LoN, it has over 110 cards for everything. I'm working on a card box right now, trying to cram it onto a A4 sheet.
I considered splitting the allegiances up, but given the gravesites and spell lores work for everyone (except Death, because apparently f* generic Death) that didn't make too much sense.
Looks pretty awesome!
I've been following some links on these pages but they came up 404, so I was wondering where can I find the Maggotkin cards in the larger version? (If they exist, that is)

I deleted a lot of stuff, but all PDF links in the OP should still work.
You can't get the Maggotkin cards in the new size right now, they are being reworked, the links posted here were a draft version.
But I hope to update all cards till the end of this week.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thanks for the quick answer, and thanks for making these - I'll just wait around for a finished version then. No problem.
Re-working all files turned out to be more work than anticipated... that said, Grand Alliance Order is done.
All links in the first post for Order should take you to the new cards.
Yaaaay!
I still hope I get everything done before Daughters of Khaine is released, though.
Death and Destruction should be relatively easy, as Legions of Nagash is already in the new size.
You did some AWESOME work here! Only be careful with GW lawyers....I think there is a reason that they didnt include Deepwood spell lore into the official GW Datacards (namely that you could skip the Battletome by buying it).
alexxk wrote: You did some AWESOME work here! Only be careful with GW lawyers....I think there is a reason that they didnt include Deepwood spell lore into the official GW Datacards (namely that you could skip the Battletome by buying it).
These cards should never replace a battletome/GHB.
But yeah, GW could shut me down real quick. Or they could just start selling something similiar instead of badly downscaled warscroll cards and tokens.
Death available and included the changes from yesterdays errata in Legions of Nagash. I also worked out a card box for LoN, sadly it needs to be glued at two points and should be additionally reinforced awith some tape.
Elric Greywolf wrote: I think the big question is, "When ya gonna do this for 40k??"
I'd be willing to write text for copy/pasta.
Well, it's not like I haven't thought about that.
In fact, I got a beta version for Space Marines right here at my desk for the past few months since the codex.
Here they are right next to the GW datacards.
The thing about these cards:
I don't have much interest in 40k anymore.
The template takes time and finding the pics in a good resolution takes time.
I spend a lot of hours searching for the battletome covers in a print resolution. For Daughters of Khaine, I ripped the image out of the digital copy of the White Dwarf, because I couldn't find it anywhere else without text.
Fyreslayers and one other faction still use the Community teaser images because the artist didn't upload it anywhere.
The GW datacards all have B/W images in the background behind and/or under the text and army symbols for the backside.
You can see it on the image above that I tried to copy the GW style, because I wanted the cards to be an expansion to the existing datacard pack.
I didn't get the olive tint right on first try. And GW uses a font for 40k that's too expensive for a hobby project and so rare, that it doesn't have any free knock-offs.
Text isn't much of a problem, I basically just copy and paste it from the digital releases anyway.
But if you're willing to do the legwork for the images for each card, the symbols in the bottom corners and provide me with lists what is missing from the datacard packs (everything excepts the psychic disciplines like with Space Marines?), I'm sure we could work something out.
I updated all cards according to the Core Book, General's Handbook 2018 and Errata.
Everything should be up to date.
If you find an error, please let me know.
Old spell and Command Ability cards were deleted and will be updated and incorporated in a Core Rule set.
Tracking cards for summoning was added, but will probably soon be replaced by a new version with tracking dials.
Old AoS logo was replaced, with the exception of Battletomes with old logos, to keep coherency.
Death cards are back, the Core Book has updated wording from Legions of Nagash, but as far as I can tell, doesn't change the rules.
Nethertheless, I deleted the Death part from the LoN card pack.
Someone on TGA requested printing sheets in the US letter format instead of DIN A4.
I will upload this alternate version later today or tomorrow.
On request of a TGA user I created an alternative print sheet in US letter paper sizerather than DIN A4.
You can find them in the first post. Contents are identical.
Nighthaunt and Stormcast Eternals are basically done, but I can't find the cover artwork anywhere.
So if someone finds a high res version of them, let me know.
Is there an online printing service you'd recommend that takes your files without modification?
The A4 or US letter sheets can be printed without modification.
If you find an online printing service that does 100% custom card sets, no, you probably can't use them.
They usually want between 1mm and 3mm bleed per side, but no cutting marks (which my files have).
If you find a printing service who does custom cards, give me the tech specs and I can easily convert the files you want.
But this is probably going to be pretty expensive for single sets (around 17€ in Germany for sets of 55 cards).
Your best bet imo is printing the sheets either at home on cardstock, at a copy shop on whatever material you think feels good or as a Looseleaf service at an online printing service (also on cardstock).
Cut it out at home, preferably with a rolling paper cutter (~ 25 € on Amazon or in most office supply stores) and get a corner punch (also Amazon or office supplies).

Seriously, massive thanks again.
Thanks, glad they are useful to you
2) Done.
3) They are. Artefacts of the Realm is next (84 artefacts from Malign Sorcery), Realms of Battle after that, bundled from the Core Book and Malign Sorcery - 1 set for each realm with special rules, Command Abilities and spells.
These cards are great! I actually like the smaller size cards in conjunction with GW’s big warscroll cards, so you can have a stat sheet with all the spells and relics right there on top of it.
I printed out a set for my Sylvaneth army and put them in plastic sleeves with old magic the gathering land cards in the back.

Spoiler:
Naturally I only used forests.
Glad you like them!
I also use them in conjuction with warscroll cards, I basically only use my books for list building and then take all the cards I need for the game
As AoS 2.0 had a change of art direction, I was thinking about how I could change up the layout and design of the cards to better fit into this new age.
I think the card backsides with the battletome covers are fine, so I left that alone.
I took some elements from the Core Book and took inspiration from the 40k datacards.
I showed them around to my fellow club members this weekend (10 year anniversary - yay!) and also got very positive feedback.
I changed up some things again, and I'm pretty happy with it now.
I will rework all cards in this new stlye. It's honestly "just" copy pasting the already formatted text from the old cards and adding the fluff lines.
It's a bit of work, sure, but I think it's very managable.
You can already download the updated Nighthaunt cards. I'm still working to get the card box to match.
Keep an eye on the excel file which ones are updated (version 4.00.00), I'm not gonna make a post for every faction.
Fix them together with a rivet, a spare X-Wing dial rivet or these clips (no idea how they are called, we use them in Germany for cheap delivery (no glue, post office needs to be able to open the envelopes):
Hi Hanskrampf, these cards and the updates you have done are just brilliant. Thank you so much for putting the time into this. I played my second game of AoS this weekend and really missed having cards for these references, so was thrilled to find these. I am a Creative Cloud user so I appreciate the work that must have gone into setting these up.
I found that the link for Nighthaunt print version is giving a Dropbox 404 error. Other Nighthaunt files are fine.
Do you have any recommendations for weight/thickness of card stock that gives the best results? Also, do you have any recommendations for getting the cards cut out - perhaps at a professional printers or similar?

Fixed.

Thanks again!
I print it with a colour laser/LED on 200g cardstock.
That's the heaviest paper I can jam into my office printers without jamming the duplex unit all the time.
I have to reduce the heat though, as the printer doesn't let me print duplex (and the manual duplex is horribly misaligned) otherwise.
Therefore, the quality suffers a bit, and 200g is a bit lightweight, but I can live with it.
If you have an inkjet printer, I recommend using special Inkjet cardstock. Even the cheapest ones let you use much thicker cardstock than any laser/LED. The quality will be much better, though make sure that the sides align correctly on cheap paper beforehand.
Though much more expensive (due to the Inkjet cardstock), this is also my plan for the future.
There is also always the possibility of a local copy shop with nice cardstock or an online print service that offers either individual cards (63 x 88 mm is one of the default card sizes) or a loose leaf service with cardstock.
Make sure the first side is lined up straight to the blade and then always use the previous cut side for alignment against the metal side thing to the left.
Those are some great recommendations, thank you. I spent a bit of time looking around today and there are various print companies offering to print custom cards in a range of sizes, including the ever popular 63 x 88 mm.
Quick update:
Converting over to the new layout version is nearly done.
6 factions are still missing, because these are the ones with some kind of points system to keep track of (Seraphon, 4 Chaos Gods, Skryre)
Hello friend, firstly sorry for the necro of a thread. Anyways oh great and mighty @Hanskrampf, is there any possibility you could release a set of cards for the new Beasts of Chaos battletome that released? I've become so dependent on how helpful all of these cards are for playing armies, you really do a good job of everything and they all make amazing reference cards. Hope to hear back!

Hey.
Always happy if people are using and liking my cards
I was slacking with the cards the last few weeks, there are still old layouts, too.
Check back in a few days and I should have BoC cards up.
Sorry for all the people who waited for the Beasts of Chaos.
The are finally finished!
I hope everything is correct, I worked between in 5 and 2 hours with gaps of days in between. Let me know if you find anything, I'll fix it asap.
It has been a few weeks since the book dropped and I was wondering what everyone's opinions of the book are now that they have maybe had a chance to try it out or experience it. For me the difference is night and day, I feel like I have the proper tools to compete with any army in the game at this point. I would like to see some tournament data but it still seems too early for that.
Edit:(I'm sorry I seem to have placed this in the wrong thread.)
Very little actual experience. We had a guy run a list. He faced a non optimized chaos slaves to darkness army and his alpha strike won him the game easily.
However then he played stormcast the following week and got mowed down by the stormcast player's alpha strike and he hasnt played since that day. Thats not really a lot to go by unfortunately.
So... I don't know how, but somehow it slipped my mind that the GHB 2018 contained more stuff I wanted to do in card form than just the allegiance abilities. I needed someone from TGA to PM me if I could do something like the cards in the Warlord Edition. My first thought was... "I already included everything in the Core Set, didn't I?" I didn't.
I'm trying something new with the boxes, they are now one piece, tuck boxes and fit on a single page. The downside: you have to glue it at the side and bottom. Score the fold lines before cutting the box out, I added marks to assist you. The front also needs to be cut along the lines and folded through the AoS logo, so it's more accessible. There are tiny white dots on the side, 10mm down from the top of the cover.
Let me know if you guys like this box style more (or less).
Updated the files according to the Big FAQ 2018/2.
It's only a few cards really, so if you already printed them, best either reprint the specific sheet or the single card from the "Print" file (e.g. duplex print: 1, 5 [Cover, specific card page number])

The Hidden Agendas already have cards directly from GW (link).
I will however be doing them if they show up in GHB 2019.
Don't take this the wrong way........but I love you! This is something GW should ahve done from the beggining. If you ever get to MD I'm gonna buy you several beers.

I've been looking at printing services and found a place that does 100 cards for a dollar... and about $10 shipping to the EU.
Any chance you could batch convert to these specs and I'll give it a go? Or heck, if you upload them and put a small commission I bet nobody will mind.

I'll look at the template tomorrow. You'll want Euro Poker though (63x88mm), not normal Poker.
Being they are from the US, I highly doubt they are gonna print them, but you can always give it a shot.

And you have something wrong about the price:
they put 18 cards on a sheet, each sheet costs $1.66
$1.06 is the price per sheet if you buy 100 copies of this sheet.
So a medium deck of 54 cards would cost you $4.98
Still a good price though.
