Hi guys!

Here's a quick preview of our new product. As you can see, we're working on some skull bots and at the moment, we're messing around with some ideas.
I can assure you, that these models will be quite different from the "regular" servoskulls
Here are the first two (out of five):

Funny little buggers, aren't they?

Let us know what you think! We're still printing them in different resolutions, and try to figure out the perfect size.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow so you can all take a closer look

Damn, some of that looks neat.

Right shame I won't be buying any of it due to still being out $500.00 from your Green Alliance KS, which you stopped communicating on and never shipped to numerous people.

they are still (very slowly) fulfilling so hopefully the sales on this stuff will help expedite yours

Sorry to hear this, that's a lot of money. Nothing puts me off a company like not coming through on an agreement.

@morganfreeman we're still shipping the pledges and hope to fulfill all the commitments pretty soon. We're still in touch with our backers directly via this email: aleks@maxmini.eu
We're doing our best to speed up the whole process, and can assure you that every single backer will get his/her pledge eventually.

Nice work on the servo skulls. Any chance of something that gives us an idea of scale?

Maxmini.eu 2018 @ 2018/03/13 15:02:16

Post by: alx_mxm

Here's a photo of an early 3D print along with some miniatures to see the scale.

The cable-bot is about 32-34mm high, while the tank pattern skull bot is about 15mm high.

If you have any other questions we'll be happy to reply

Here's a quickie of our incoming product! A set of anti-riot ogre squad

They will soon be available in our webstore as a set of 3 miniatures with different head swaps and a choice of weapons - you'll be able to put them together either as a close combat unit or a heavy support specialists.

Here's our designer's workflow in Zbrush, you can already spot some head and weapon designs. Zbyszek is a talented young lad, isn't he?

And here's an early 3D print to check the scale and details quality:

Our Desert Dwellers heads are one of the most popular head swaps, so we've decided to give them some love and create a matching set of minis.
Sculpted by Justyna - newest member of our team, already responsible for creating Amelia the Inquisitoress and Putrid Knights Helmets

How many poses do you plan on releasing?

@cert there will be 5 poses, one with an option of choosing between a regular guardsman or a squad leader.

Great stuff, Aleks! You guys make excellent quality sculpts and hope some of the Green Alliance items get released seperately, as they are very cool and great quality!

One suggestion; Could you check regarding your shipping rates based on weight? It gets expensive quite fast when you only order a few things. maybe a flat shipping rate as other companies offer (and a free shipping option for orders above a certain amount) Thanks!

Maxmini.eu 2018 @ 2018/05/25 12:02:09

Post by: alx_mxm

@Low_K thank you so much for the feedback!

What would you consider a reasonable flat shipping rate?
We know that shipping fee might be quite high sometimes, but as a small company we can't afford a super-cheap shipping.

Free shipping over a certain amount is a considerable option, we'll definitely give it a thought!

Maxmini.eu 2018 @ 2018/05/25 12:24:44

Post by: Low_K

@Aleks; Ofcourse I don't know the shipping rates from Poland but as someone who orders a lot I find that other Polish companies offer either free postage over €50 (Spellcrow) and Kromlech has free shipping over €150.

Hexy and Kromlech have both shipping rates of €9-10 for smaller orders.

Ofcourse I don't know the size of the other companies but if it is financially viable, I would mimick one or more of their shipping rates. Ofcourse this is all based on shipping to Netherlands, I don;t know how more expensive it gets when shipping to other countries.

One final word, you got a lot of flak regarding the Green Alliance Kickstarter but you still sending out Pledges (last I heard, maybe all Pledges are fulfilled) and not abandoning it is worth a compliment!

Maxmini.eu 2018 @ 2018/05/25 12:58:55

Post by: alx_mxm

@Low_K looks like their shipping prices are quite similar (sometimes even the same) to ours

But as mentioned before, free shipping for bigger orders is something important, thanks once more for pointing this one out!

@Low_K: Your compliment to MaxMini for the handling of the KS The Green Alliance can not be shared by me, as I'm still waiting - after about 4 years!! - for them to deliver the pledge!
And now also to get lied at by them! A month ago they promissed me to finaly send me the complete pledge, with some extras as excuse, within two weeks and inform me when having send it off. Nothing happened up to now. And now they don't even reply to my mails anymore. Well I can understand that. It's more important to Aleks to post here.

Realy sorry that I'm not able to share your enthusiasm for how they handled/handle this KS. Maybe you were a lucky one and didn't pledge in this KS.

I in turn am sorry that you still haven't received anything. I did actually Pledge the Kickstarter and I too waited a very long time before finally receiving my Pledge (I got it in April 2017 which is 3 years wait). I do still compliment them with not abandoning the project, as some other Kickstarter projects did, although I can imagine it feeling this way reading your reply. I hope Maxmini can remedy your problem and deliver the Pledge as the miniatures are really good quality and unique. So hopefully all will be sorted soon.

@Aleks: Coming back to your weight based shipping; 3 Scrap tanks with you costs €20 shipping. The 3 new Halftracks from Kromlech (which I suspect are about the same weight) cost €9 shipping. This I meant with a flat shipping price. But looking into free shipping over an amount would be much welcome as my cart I am eyeing is a little over 1 kg and while the total price is €167, I get a hefty €41 on shipping

PM-ed you about you and I'm sure Aleks will poke you as well after the weekend. We need a bit more info - can't find you with just forum nickname.
I'll check whether your package has been sent when we'll have this info - and will speed things up if it has not. Each week there's a steady stream of pledges (sadly not as big as I wish) being sent - we're getting close to having this done (basically majority of those left are the ones where we can't get in touch with the person who made the pledge and/or we have incomplete shipping details etc). Hopefully those get sorted soon so we could start having part of TGA as regular release.

Monowheel Androbot is surely a speedy fella and you can always count on his helping hand... or a buzzsaw arm, it's your choice! This brilliant fusion of human flesh and robotic technology was once a human, but his memory has been wiped, reprogrammed and cybernetically - enhanced to serve as a mercilless, close combat killing machine.

I agree. The head, weapons and boots seem way too large. It gives me the impression of a child Commissar rather than an adult. I know heroic scale exaggerates the scaling of heads, weapons and hands/feet but this model seems overly exaggerated in those areas.

Not bad at all.

Weapons looks a bit oversized. Not more than the aformentioned GW metals, but then again, those are 20 years old.

It's good for someone wanting to flesh out an existing Tallarn army, but I'd have preferred to have the guns a bit more realistically scaled.

Touché.

Still, I feel GW has started to occasionally turn to more reasonable proportions (like Genestealer cult and non-Goliath necromunda gangs) so third parties should take the opportunity to err on the side of (for lack of a better term) realism.

Aye, I think the Kickstarter stalled their releases tremendously. Now that the KS is finally fulfilled, I hope they release some more stuff more regularly.

@Aleks: Will you guys expand on those desert dudes? Release some commanders, heavy weapon teams etc. You could fill the gap GW left when they discontinued the Tallarn.
The current release is great stuff for a Tallarn kill team btw...

Hey guys!

Forgot to put our new release here, but looks like some of you have already spotted our desert dudes

Anyways, here's the link:

We've also put a "making of" article on our blog, so you can check out early skeches, concepts, 3d prints and also some obstacles we had to struggle with

https://maxmini.eu/blog/desert-dwellers-making-of.html

@Low_K regarding add-ons and expanding this unit... we haven't really thought about it yet, but heavy/special weapon squad sounds like a good idea! There's one melta and one commander in this unit, but some other weapon options will surely diversify these models.

Also answering the question about our current releases: yes, KS project slowed us down quite a bit, but we're pretty much back on tracks and will put out more of our stuff!
We've already came up with some new ideas, but I don't want to spoil the surprise Just keep your eyes peeled - you surely won't regret it.

Oh wow. Suddenly I want to do an Astra Militarum Kill team... where can I see an exact list of components? Does it come with more special weapons than the Melta Gun (?) pictured? Or would GW weapons fit them? For a Kill Team you need a LOT of special weapons Plasma, Flamers, Snipers...

I'm literally crunching some numbers on a team for them right now Have always had a soft spot for Tallarn, and these outstrip the old metals with ease. (But yea, more special weapons / snipers please!)

If it matters, here's the description of this set: "This set contains 10 multipart miniatures. Designed to work with most popular 28mm "heroic" miniatures ranges. Contains 8 regular trooper torsos (4 variants), 1 sergeant, 1 special unit torso, 10 different (interchangeable) head variants, tab with extra bits. Supplied unpainted. Round bases included."

EDIT: Came up with a limited list I'd be happy to get started with using just this kit - sarge, 3x meltas, 12 guardsmen (3x 4 variants, 1 with vox)

I'm thinking of using them alongside some Scions I already have. But from what I gather it's very beneficial in Kill Team to take cheap bodies with special weapons, so I'm kinda hoping Maxmini can whip up some flamers and plasmas in a few weeks so I can make an order

Honestly these are easily on par with Victoria Miniatures guardsmen, if not better. If they supplemented the range with some more poses, special weapons, heavy weapons teams, commanders, maybe some "tank crew" that happened to be compatible with GW tanks... I could see people buying a whole army of them. I think they would be a huge seller.

There will be a set of 10 = 5 new heads and 5 old heads

Hey guys!

Here's the first special weapon operator for our desert dwellers range

If you like this fella, here's the link: https://maxmini.eu/desert-dweller-sniper-miniature

Let us know what other weapon expansions you'd like to see on our desert dwellers! Plasma? Flamer? Or maybe something else?

Also, new version of desert dwellers heads will be available pretty soon via our website!

Post by: Mymearan

ooooooh that's fast work! And yes, plasma and flamers and I'll be putting in an order! However, I would much prefer the special weapons be separate arms, since you'll want multiple of them and it would be a shame if they were all identical.

Halloween is pretty much around the corner, so some of you might be wandering if we're going to release anything special this year. Well, the answer is "yes" and without further ado, here's this year's Halloween exclusive - Stan the Scarecrow!

As always, we had lots of fun designing the model as well as creating his background and the whole story behind him.
It's nothing epic or particularly special, but it's nice to give a model some origins and a tiny sparkle of life

If you're interested, there's a short article on our website blog:

https://maxmini.eu/blog/halloween-special-2018-is-out.html

...and here's Stan himself!

https://maxmini.eu/halloween2018-limited-stan-the-scarecrow

Please have in mind that this miniature is available for a limited time only and will be gone forever shortly after Halloween

Scarecrow Stan is also the very first miniature to be sculpted for maxmini.eu by Krystian - our new 3d graphic designer! Welcome on board buddy!

You also might be interested in our last week's release (yes, I forgot to post it here - my mistake!), that is pretty much perfect for gamers and hobbists that prefer more fantasy oriented miniatures You can never have too many of these!

Aaaand we're back!

This time with new head swaps - didn't release any of these in a while.
If you're into scifi-postapo-hive city stuff, then you may find these guite interesting.
The whole idea was to make them look as cartoony and looney as possible.
We think Justyna did a really good job designing and sculpting these crazy fellas Take a look at some early concepts:

And a quick turntable:

You can already grab them in our webstore, just click the link below:

Let's have a break from orktober for a while, shall we?

Behold Gharrak the Bone Gnawer!
He's a brutish and violent beastlord, capable of leading any horde into the battle... obviously

It's one of these models that we were REALLY excited about and had lots of fun throughout the whole designing process.
Early scetches may seem a bit odd (just take a look at that cute goat on the first picture!), but they quite quickly turned into some awesome concepts, showing a badass goat lord
Final 3d sculpt really exceeded our expectations, we hope you like Gharrak as much as we do!

You can get this nasty fella by clicking the link below
https://maxmini.eu/gharrak-the-bone-gnawer-miniatures

Here's a couple of words on his background, more concept arts etc.

Yay or nay?? Give us some feedback!

on a side note - here's a little preview of the vehicle Krystian is working on:
https://twitter.com/MaxMiniWorkshop/status/1055469976029675520

- should work well with the guardsman but presents some conversion opportunities for orc players .
Next week we'll start doing some test prints of it - scaling it will pose some challenges.

Orc Special Weapon are an elite unit, obsessed with huge, highly customized weapons, capable to wipe out an entire squad of infantry in a hail of fire.
Unlike other orcs, they prefere to keep their distance and shower the enemy with bullets, rockets, shrapnels and every other kind of dakka.

This unit is A MUST for every greenskins player!

In case you didn't notice, we've also released our final desert dwellers special weapon operator - the Arc Cannoneer:

https://maxmini.eu/desert-dwellers-arc-cannoneer-miniatures

We're really proud of theese, Krystian (the youngest member of our team, but quite a talented one!) really nailed these models and proven himself to be an extremely talented 3D designer.
So lucky to have him on board.

Let us know what you think! We'd really love to have some feedback and thoughts on these models.

I don't stop by Dakka much anymore, but I can't help but notice that several of the Green Alliance pledge models have come to the webstore since my last visits. Given I've been waiting almost 5 years for my pledge to be fulfilled, I decided it'd be time to reach out again and see if I might, nearly half a decade later, see a return on my money.

I'll just go ahead and copy > paste the body of my email below, so that the guy who runs this thread might be able to pick it out from whatever slush pile it'll wind up in:

Hello,

As the title states, I was a backer for the Green Alliance project years ago. I am still, nearly five years later, waiting for my pledge of $500.00 to be fulfilled.

Quite frankly, I can't even begin to express my disappointment in how this fiasco was handled, or the time it's taken to get this. But as someone who works in hospitality, I understand how little it means when someone says they'll "never come back," so I won't bother to rant.

What does matter is that I still want my pledge. I filled out the google sheet for my backing. I see that you've been releasing several of the sculpts on your web store, which makes it abundantly clear that you have 0 issues producing. I've waited, fairly patiently, for almost half a decade.

You posted last September, so six months ago, that you had twenty backers left. I can only assume I'm the absolute very last backer to get it.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,
J
