As usual Miniaturemarket’s website crashed after being up less than 10 minutes. Now saying they’ll be back up at 11am CST, so 20 minutes from now as of this post.
Man, the Song of Ice and Fire starter for $90 is pretty tempting... But I'll still probably pass. I think the discount will likely get deeper eventually, and I hardly need another unused game on the shelf.
Theophony wrote: I see them selling/trying to sell Robotech at silly cheap levels.
I'll wait for the Glaug to hit the same discount as the Regults. They could micronize their prices further.
I hope the Relic Knights stuff is good or I'm out, like, three plus three plus... Twelve bucks. I'd hate to toss one grande carne asada burrito's worth of miniatures. It also gives me a snug feeling to see Dust Tactics at rock bottom prices again. All is right with the world again.

They weren't the best minis in the range, it seems.
BTW, did you see the Eclipse Ship Box One? That and possibly the Destiny Aurora spaceship blister looked right up your alley. Also, Leviathans! France Fleet was only $18. L'chaim, whoever was asking about steampunk airships last week.
Steamforged have already previewed their deals. If anyone is interested in Guild Ball, each one of those entries under plastic or metal teams (except Exiles or New Beginnings which are special cases) will give you half a faction and a completely legal team, and the plastic ones include a variety of play aids too, such as tokens.
Hard to pass on the $90 a song of ice and fire, but I REALLY don’t need another project. Everything else is usual sale stuff just a couple bucks cheaper, so I’ll wait to get what I want and save my $$$ for new items.
Use the code 'HALLOWEEN2018' to get a whopping 20% discount of most things* and a discount of everything else.
Input the code on the final 'confirmation' page, at the top. If you hit the payment page you went too far.
(Stop writing it in the comments box! Anyone who writes it in the comments box is getting the worst flavour sweets!).
We've also updated our system so the code can now be used multiple times by the same customer, meant to do that for a 'long' time!
This means if you come back for a second order within the sale it'll work again, just make sure to mention in the second order comments box that you already ordered please!
*The below new releases are all just reduced rather than the full 20% off, you'll see )
ced1106 wrote: The SDE / Ninja whatever oni crossover pack is a good deal.
Thanks for the tip, ended up with $80 in SDE stuff I didn't have. Could have gone far harder but didn't necessarily want to expand my Green and Purple sets into the Red sets? Or something, I feel like I should have just bought everything I'm missing
Also MM has Cthulhu Wars Core Set (Onslaught Two Printing) for $90, which seems like a thing!
Not sure that I'm interested in much Black Friday-wise this year, pretty bloated with Kickstarters being delivered and backlogged on KOW armies for next year and the one after I am waiting to see what Noble Knight does, there's a bunch of OOP stuff they've got that I'd like for cheaper.

So it looks like they'll be rolling through several "sets" of offer items over the next week or so. As long as you're ordering enough for the free shipping threshold, it's fine, I guess. I finally picked up a Maus, IS-3 and a Konigstiger Zug and a few other things. Not looking forward to needing to keep checking their store pages, though.

Miniature Market's new hold (basically HLJ's customer warehouse) is a game changer. It really frees customers upr from needing to hit the free shipping threshold in one go or give up trying.
It also stops those of us from getting the stuff we want because we forgot to push the stupid button and end up missing out on good deals due to having to deal with real life and work.
I'm still pissed because all the games I wanted are now out of stock (mostly just Folklore and one of the Star Realms boxes). But still...
I'm going to grab as much as I can of Wrath of Kings. Hopefully Dark Age and all the other companies they stock are clearanced out again.
Got the big Ariadna army starter box for under 10 dollars last year.
The vast majority of everything on CMON is currently sold out right now. This is precisely the reason I missed out on every single Malifaux and Infinity thing I ordered from them last year.
Regardless, their prices are just too good. I got a lot of small things that I don't regret at all even if 60% of my order wasn't shipped and was refunded. Just got to remember to not make any of these Christmas gifts; it's all for me.
Even some things in the store fight now are buyable despite being listed as stock "-1".
https://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/haqqislam-hassassin-farzans-boarding-shotgun-contender-1.html Yes, that's negative one in stock, buyable, and show up when you search for things in stock. The "Low Quantity" flag is ironically more fitting that it should be.
This does not bode well for the rush.
I was going to say that I have serious doubts about Dark Age being in stock, as it's not often in stock for full price. I did check on some WOK stuff earlier in the week and was happy to see literally thousands of units in stock (2494 or so of the Brutes I'm after) so that's a bit more heartening
I'm considering finally getting an airbrush, and was going to look for a good deal on Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Christmas sales.
Do anyone know of a European retailer that previous have been had airbrush kits up for Black Friday/Holiday sale?
I was thinking of checking up on sites like Wiltec.de, Everythingairbrush.com and Amazon, but I actually have no idea they've had Black Friday airbrush deals before.

Not that I doubt you, but source?
Fingers crossed it is something good, though. I still have most of the original KS stuff and a few extras for Hadross and Nasier, and I'd really like to do something with them other than "paint just because they're cool and maybe use in Dragon Rampant" or the like. Plus, it's really hard to get folks into a "dead" game.

I was looking myself, but, I can’t see much in terms black Friday deals and airbrushes I’m afraid.
Could change over the next week or so, but, who knows.

Midwest airbrush supply usually has good deals come Black Friday. They also do regular sales around each holiday for just over 10% off and sometimes up to 14% off.

If anyone is thinking about ordering from them during their black friday sale, expect to get your order sometime in February or March if it has any custom foam. In my experience, you are *NOT* a priority for them when you order during a sale so be prepared to wait several months.

That feels like an unfair thing to say. The wait is real, but you're one customer in a line of probably thousands who ordered a hand-made custom job in the span of one week, there's no need to assume you're being maliciously skipped over to explain the wait time.

Well, already got my order from phase 1 of Miniature Market's black Friday stuff. I guess the Relic Knight stuff they were selling was from a second round or something as all the casts are just fine. Was worried when people were saying they were trash. Ya it's restic but it's pretty well done.

I was a KS backer and there wasn't anything wrong with the casts, but the sculpts are all over the place and range (even within the same faction) from slender 28mm Inifinity scale to 90s GW chunky with fists as big as their head and feet as big as their torso.

OK, I can see that. Some, like pit crew, are pretty tiny. I'm pretty fine with that since I'm just going to use these for an RPG anyway and these were dirt cheap. Could see how people that paid KSer price could be disappointed.

The wait time with Custom is ages anyway, so adding a bit more isn’t the hugest deal, especially when the savings you can get are extremely good.
Last time I did it when the Heavy Gear Blitz bags went 75% off, so the bag was about <£30. The custom foam was 6” deep, one 2” foam is normally about £30. The math speaks for itself, you could just thrown the bag away and you’ve still got two trays free.
(Numbers aren’t exact in the example as it was years back, but every time they do a range with a good discount!)

You're ascribing a motive that I'm not which is ironic given that you're referring to it as malicious. It's a common business practice to make people pay for expedited service and given that they get a large volume of service on that one day it makes business sense that they'd prioritize people who instead pay full price in the weeks afterwards especially since there is no guaranteed delivery time. The simple fact is that in both my orders with them on Black Friday it took several months into the next year to actually get the product that I paid for whereas people here on dakka who placed their custom foam orders afterwards outside of the sale got their's relatively quickly. You may have a different experience but the situation of waiting months for Black Friday orders was quite common an experience in their threads and I wished someone had told me to expect that before I placed my first order. I'll admit that my experience is a few years old and maybe they've improved their work flow since but people should be prepared that they might have to wait an inordinate amount of time to get their product if they have a custom foam order during their sale.
Azreal13 wrote: Well I want one single specific (non custom) tray that I've been holding off ordering for several weeks.
Bets on it being out of stock or not discounted?
If it's an instock item, I don't think you have to worry too much. When I placed my orders, people who reported that they got theirs the same year usually had no custom foam but rather standard loadouts.
If anyone sees a mention of Shapeways doing their typical free shipping plus 10% off or somesuch, let your fellow Dakkites know too. I've been holding off on an order with them for months hoping that they'd have a free shipping sale over the summer but no such luck. I waited so long that they increased their prices this October signifcantly so my wait for a better deal may have backfired on me.

Same, got a full custom case for less than the cost of just the trays. I felt a bit bad about it so I left about an inch of depth unused. When they got around to fulfilling my order, they contacted me and said I have room to add another tray. So they're pretty cool in my book.
I'm buying a few bits and bobs regardless. Have even booked a half day off work so I can visit Darksphere if needs be. But, if GW are offering decent incentives, I may just hit their Covent Garden store on my way home?
For sake of argument, it's Blackstone, Rogue Trader and the Imperial Sector I'm buying. So all relatively unlikely to be further discounted at Darksphere.
They've done Black Friday deals the past few years.
Rarely much to write home about overall. But with their shift toward being better overall, I'm keeping my options open.
Automatically Appended Next Post: I mean, I'm a right sucker for Ltd Ed stuff (hence founding the FB group). If GW offer anything like that, I'll probs go with them.
If not, I'll just Darksphere it, because it's on my way home.
Black Friday is a sort of here and not here sale in the UK though. Some retailers pay attention to it, some don't. I can see GW forgetting about it as a sale event until its too late to plan anything; esp since GW is heavily UK based.
It's more the big international companies that I see doing Black Friday sales - like Amazon. Heck I don't think Steam even did anything for Black Friday.
I haven't noticed GW do a decent sale since they used to have grand opening events for each new store...about 20 years ago. That being said I do agree that GW are trying to compete a bit more with other miniature companies, even if it's nothing special. My money is being saved for SteamForged but I have a horrible feeling they sold most of their reduced stock at SCUK, although thanks to this forum I have just purchased £50 worth of items from Warlord Games sale.

I've seen this mentioned on Facebook a bit. Thing is, the two main reasons you have a sale is for promotional purposes and/or to clear out redundant and/or excess stock.
The second doesn't really apply to anything they're selling (except maybe the metal Fish and Butchers with the resins due in the New Year) and so assuming it's the first, why have a sale where you've sold out of a bunch of stuff before the majority of your customers can access it and have full knowledge that it was supposed to be available?
I think it's more likely there's stock already on hand to cover the sale, or they've used the time since SCUK to restock. Doesn't mean there'll be vast quantities available, but I think there'll be enough to give people a chance.
Wayland games have a huge block of general stuff on sale. In addition if you buy any Wild West Exodus models and use FREE-ATTACK-DOG in the voucher slot you get a free plastic attack hound.

Wayland doesn't do GW to USA so really isn't that benefitual if you live in USA and looking for GW.

Good on you, I filled mine for maximum worth (I have 7 BF bags now, so last few purchases have always saved for Black Friday). But I did also have a time when they said there was space and might as well order something even if I don’t need it.
They have really good customer service - this year with the new tray creator it is missing several basic shapes and sizes, to which they just say put two together and you’ll get the rough size. But I wanted exact sizes for models to protect better, and they are adding the sizes I need to it in time for the sale
I feel like I want to get some Batman minis that are discounted, but I don’t okay the game, and won’t get to painting them for ages, so probably shouldn’t..
MightyApe is having a sale for the Aussies and NZ'ers who might be in here. Pretty decent prices as well, though you'll likely find that the prices in their ebay shop are much nicer.
I bought a DeepCut 4'x4' Gotham mat, a Mantic Undead Wyrm and a Green Stuff Industries roller from their ebay store, and took an extra 10% due to an ebay coupon. I hope I didn't buy too soon and could have got the DeepCut mat cheaper directly from DeepCut... But we shall see.
GW absolutely does not do black friday sales, they havent done so for the past 15 years Ive been in the hobby and there are zero rumblings of them starting now. Any claim of them doing black friday deals in the past few years is the result of a faulty memory.

Quantities are limited, though, so make sure to scoop yours up during the big event!
The $150 is counted before taxes, shipping, etc. We will not be making any changes to orders after they've been placed.
That's it for the special releases! You can find everything else that will be available on our webstore during the sale. The Black Friday Sale is coming up soon (November 21st!), so plan out your strategy now before you lose out on those limited releases!
There will also be a few surprises available that we haven't yet mentioned, so you'll just have to stop by the webstore when the Black Friday sale goes live. We'll see you there!
warboss wrote: If anyone is thinking about ordering from them during their black friday sale, expect to get your order sometime in February or March if it has any custom foam.
I will start by saying I do work for Battle Foam for full transparency, and wanted to shed some light on your past experience as well as answer any questions or concerns about this Black Friday sale and anything going forward for that matter. First, I am fairly new to Battle Foam as I started this past January, but can explain a little on the issue you experienced. Now you did mention your experience was from a few ears ago, and I can say we changed a lot even from Black Friday 2017. I don't want to make excuses for the past, but I do want to apologize for the experience that you had that made you feel second string to post-sale, full-price customers. I can say we do not prioritize post sale customers over non-sale. It is just certain orders require more time, especially custom, and some custom is much longer than others. Either way, it comes down to how our customers feel and interpret our product and service, and obviously your experience wasn't good, so again, our apologies.
Now, for this year, I can say we have new processes in place that will just make everything go by a LOT faster. Will we have orders from the Black Friday Sale in February still? I will be very disappointed if that is the case. Even January is worse than we would want, even for custom orders. We will be doing everything in our power to get every order out as quickly and as accurately as possible. I personally feel anyone who places an order and is a part or becomes a part of the Battle Foam Family is supremely important. Whether it is a $10 bag strap or a $1000 custom order, we try to take care of everyone on equal footing. Now this all sounds great on a forum, but actions speak louder than words. I can only prove our mission every day. I will make myself available to anyone at billy@battlefoam.com and our Facebook page to answer any questions or concerns.
Warlord games offers have had some very good stuff. Managed to pick up the Market garden book, plastic stummel and plastic Hetzer for 30 quid.
Sadly the marder 3 kit had sold out before I could make an order along with the stug kit but hey it still saved me 30 quid so it’s all good.
Any sales on gaming mats? Looking for a 33x20 for Kill Team from US based company. I like Fat Mats, any word of a sale from them? I know Frontline currently has 25% off but they don't offer 33x20.
I really like that Reva model, but not 150 dollars like.
I'm bummed there's nothing really new outside of her either for this sale.
From the sound of thing, they aren't going to have The Other Side for sale on the site either. Lame. I'd love to pick up a few of the kits once they're out in the wild.

My FLG mats were probably the star of my Black Friday shopping last year, amazing deals on them. I too would love a couple KT mats. Mats By Mars has some, but I can't really dig up what they're doing for Black Friday. That and I think the mats are vinyl rather than neoprene, and seeing as I have some MBM mats and don't really love them, I'll probably keep looking for lil' mousepad mats.

There are a few things I'd like for TOS as well, but I'm not seeing anything but preorders across web stores. Also I'll note that despite the influx of listings on eBay following the KS deliverers, I'm not seeing those any more either - not saying Wyrd pulled them per se, they could just have been way popular among those who didn't want to pledge and then wait forever
If GW does a Black Friday sale like they did a couple years ago, I'm doomed. The Buy 2 Get 1 Free Mumakil deal almost meant that I had like 8 mumaks and I'm still mad I didn't buy the Champions of Erebor discounted collection.

I appreciate you making an account here and posting a response. As I said and you quoted, my experiences are both from a few years ago but were echoed by others in that thread so hopefully things have changed for the better since. As a note, I've been very pleased with my purchases and the delay was the only part of the transaction that I wasn't happy with.
Friday will be good time if somebody wants to jump into Kingdom Death universe. Core and expansions and white boxes should have some good prices.
Raging Heroes & Aeon Trespass plan some sales to.
Wayland eh last place on earth when I buy anything .

They have done though. 100%. Perhaps UKGW only, but they have done Black Friday the past few years. Not very well, I'll grant you.

yeah they've done several in the USA. They had a HUGE one in 2015.

Those "Black Friday deals" were basically the christmas/holiday bundles which are releasing on December 1st this year, the difference is that now they have bespoke packaging and a standardized price point nowadays. Retailers were even able to order those packages (my FLGS had one of them for months, it was a cardboard box with a sticker on it showing an image of the kits contained inside, when you opened the box you were met by the actual kits in their individual packaging)
Warstore Black Friday sale is available to newsletter subscribers.
And it's complete trash.
5% off with coupon (woo), free shipping on $100/$120 orders (depending on product) which other online retailers offer all fething year for a lower threshold and the free stuff is random now instead of being able to choose.
Good saving, though can you see what the Lim Ed models are, or only if you go through checkout? Also I bet their UK shipping isn’t the best..
Shove things in the cart and you can see the options at checkout, no need to sign in. Shipping was £5 internal UK for the six boxes I ordered last night. I think I need a second order... I picked up the USCM Sergeant with shotgun last night, but now want either the jungle hunter predator or the valentines 2017 predator (I dislike how the non-limited edition predators are all in action poses whereas those limited edition ones are in a much more static, hunter style poses).
1 - Spend $50 and get free domestic shipping and $5 off
2 - Spend $100 and get free domestic shipping, a pair of Iron Kingdom patches (value $9.99) and $15 off
3 - Spend $150 and get free domestic shipping, a free Privateer Pin (value $6.99 or higher) and $25 off
4 - Spend $255+ and get free domestic shipping, 2 IK patches, a Privateer Pin, a free Saxon Orrik mini and $40 off
They are also doing another round of Mystery Boxes. $124.99 box containing over $400 of minis. Each Grab Bag is guaranteed to come with at least 1 huge-based model (A Colossal, Gargantuan or Battle Engine)
Sadly, UK/EU will still get hammered with import taxes etc. But many of the UK online store have Black Friday deals
Speaking of PP, this isn't Black Friday related, but Chaosorc has had a 40% off PP sale (and other lines) going on for some time now: http://chaosorc.com/index.php?cPath=431_514
I've kept quiet because part of me wants to buy all 5 of the hydras he has left for $66 a pop @_@ I'll check back and see if he does a Black Friday thing after all, though I can't recall one in past years.
Malkyr wrote: Bah I missed the Ebay coupon. Anyone know if they usually do another on Black Friday/Cyber Monday, or just in general how often they happen?
They typically do one roughly once a month, but I'm sure they'll have another one on BF or CM. The only thing that sucks is sometimes the discount is limited to certain items or sellers so it doesn't apply to gaming stuff, but I've seen less of those recently. If you have the eBay app you'll get a notification as soon as they launch promos like these.
Enjoy 25% off store wide! from 11/22 through 11/26
All products are on sale including clearance items, $50 free shipping in the US, $80 in Canada, and $100 for the rest of the world.
Raging Heroes has some big sales coming up as well, including 50% off their metals. Previous customers should have already received an email with a two day early access to stuff, as it appears to be going fast.
Looks like Miniature Market's Asmodee sale is live, though it was happening later on, if you want rune wars it's 50% off or more. Legion is also really cheap.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Kingdom death's is live and already a bunch of stuff is sold out. There were lots of singles that only had 20 or so copies to sell. Had a few sell out just logging into paypay on me.
CMoN's sale is up, but virtually everything is out of stock, as expected. You basically have to sort by "In-Stock" up top and use the bandwidth-leeching ticker bar for ants.
One amusing notable is that CMoN's "The Others" is on super liquidation sale with expansions going for $5-7. I thought about it, but then gave it a pass realizing it's another CMoN-McVey venture like Sedition Wars v2. With the recent Sedition Wars v3 Kickstarting soon, it seems like a hollow purchase.
It's a shame that Rising Sun isn't on sale. It's the one CMoN game that doesn't seem to have miniatures made of gummy wax-plastic what even makes Finecast blush.
CMON's crazy prices just got $99.40USD out of me, real easy.
The prices for their Hadross stuff from Wrath of Kings couldn't be passed up. It was too good
Doesn't fill me with confidence that they'll be supporting the game going forward, though. Same for Dark Age. They massively discounted both lines for this sale.
I added so much crap to my CMON cart I actually hit 4 digits in total price.
Suffice to say I trimmed... A LOT.
Got a few big Dark Age beasties (mostly Skarrd), a few Rum & Bones sets I wanted to paint, and the last few odds and ends I didn't own yet for Wrath of Kings. Like a lot of you I figure I'll keep what I got as I've got pretty complete armies... if I ever finish painting them!
Also, Flying Frog's got their Black Friday stuff up.
New resin allies and bosses, Darkstone Scorpion XL enemies, bundles of Brimstone and Forbidden Fortress, plus all their other games.
Victoria Miniatures' Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals are now live!
Also, you can now choose ANY past or current Miniature of the Month as your free miniature per US$50.00 spent.
By the way, you can now choose to have your order sent via EMS express, (4-5 days to anywhere in the world) for US$30.00. Potentially useful as we plunge towards Christmas!
Thank you to everyone who's bought figures and accessories from Victoria Miniatures. Because of you, I get to eat.

The stuff I needed from CMON was all Hadross stuff with stock for daaaaays - plus the only Blood Cult model in stock (blood abomb!) So I'm happy.

Has anyone seen a deal on airbrushes? My cheap Amazon airbrush is on its last legs and I'd like to get something like a Badger or Paasche, but I haven't found any discounts.
And now I will have to go where no man has gone before in the none too distant future...
BrookM wrote: Raging Heroes has some big sales coming up as well, including 50% off their metals. Previous customers should have already received an email with a two day early access to stuff, as it appears to be going fast.
Should have, yes. I thought it was funny that I got the announcement E-Mail just fine, but not the one that grants me access. Not that I need anything from them currently, so at least that isn't a problem.

I haven't received it because I've unsubscribed (US to U.K. shipping means it's not practical) but I can categorically state Badger are having an offer, as my last message from them was to say that their current offer was ending because of BF and to apologize for the fact they were sending the BF/CM deal 8 times. (???)

Thanks for the tip. I checked it out and it seems that their deal is a free basic paint set of 6 30ml bottles and a free accessory with every airbrush purchase. Unfortunately the actual airbrushes are still a good $20 more expensive than you can regularly find them for through distributors and retailers. Seems like I should have thought about the airbrush when I made my 15% off eBay purchase!
Edit: By the way, the deal also includes free international shipping.

So did anyone else on here hit up Warlord games. They had some pretty good stuff up which unsurprisingly sold very well. Grabbed 120 quids worth of plastic vehicle crack for 60 quid.
So in the post I have coming x2 Tigers x2 Sherman vs, 1 Hetzer and finally 1 Stummel. Plus some other stuff that wasn’t on offer but was chucked in the basket anyway.

Yeah I got 2 Bolt Action armies for about $110
Ah good times, I could quite easily have bought more from warlord games but wife, x 2 kids and Xmas not far away I kind of had to hold back lol.

Someone told me they received an email from Badger about a Cyber Monday sale. Other than that, no.
RNestudio https://rnestudio.com has 30% off. I got a couple nice figures. Which with the Myth explorers 2 Kickstarter means I am getting 9 minis from them in December. They have some nice fantasy, fantasy football and some sci-fi stuff in 32mm and 54mm.
Other than that, I got some WoK stuff from CMON that I don’t really need but couldn’t resist the prices. Also got some odds and ends from Miniature Market.
Decided to check out the CMON sale today. All I wanted was a box of Gotha Knights. They had 250 last Monday, when I found out they existed.
Now I'm sad.
Still got $100 of Hadross & Goritsi

Kinda glad the CMoN sale ended yesterday. If It had gone another few days I'd have ended up spending more for "potential ideas" for Wrath instead of just stuff that already gives me to much variety.
Monkeysloth wrote: So CMoN was my first Black Friday order shipped I ordered Saturday.
*genuine surprise face*
I was just wondering if I would get my CMON stuff in 2018, and told myself to be cool, plenty of things that need hobbying before the new year ... Happy to think I might get to ravage some packages and put stuff in the closet sooner
I made my CMON order on the 23rd....not shipped yet. I wonder how they're deciding order of shipment if not by date? Not in any hurry, just curious. I ordered the rest of the Wrath of Kings things I didn't have, plus a couple other random models.
So, while I'm sure they've improved a bit - and it would be hard not to improve upon the absolute cluster that was their efforts last year - it looks like they still have a ways to go.
mine was about 5 hours into the sale, the earliest I could actually get the site to work so they're probably slowly working their way through (from the right end to compared to last year)
I made two orders from them on Shael Han.
1.One is the Iron lotus and Celestrial Trickers that 'SOMEHOW' got cancelled EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE PLENTY AFTER I ORDERED THEM ON FRIDAY!
I placed an order with Shapeways for a couple of 28mm figures and my estimated shipping date is Dec. 20th if I didn't want to pay double extra fees for expedited production and shipping.
All wrath of kings. I ordered all the stuff that wasn't on sale last year and that came out since. Plus filled in all the gaps in my goritsi range (everything not in the original kickstarter). Also grabbed an extra set of warsmiths since I thought one day I might use them as all my infantry. About $100 in WoK sets all told
I now have the entire range for anything not Hadross and multiples of the units I like the look of/like playing with.

From Shapeways? I didn't know they stocked WoK 3d models. Are we talking about the same thing?
Would love to know what you all had for dinner last night though!
Sadly nothing made by CMON or from Shapeways, nor was it part of a Black Friday sale.
I'm still waiting for SOMETHING. Everything I ordered is somewhere in transit. I want it NOW... even though I have piles and piles of stuff to work on....
Did CMON at least give you guys confirmation things had shipped? I can't remember if they did in the past.
MM must be seriously jammed up as well. I placed an order on the 24th and it just moved yesterday from order received to the virtual order queue. They must be making a killing on the prioritize shipping checkbox.
Well that's often down to companies not delivering on anything like the original time frame (just like KS),
or MM taking unlimited preorders and finding that no, the distributor won't hand over the entire product allocation to them as they've got a bunch of other businesses to service
angel of death 007 wrote: MM can't handle their business anymore, they are good at taking preorders but suck at shipping them out.
A big part of their current problem that I see (I live 2 miles from their warehouse, and used to stop there 2-3times a week) is them opening a separate brick and mortar store. At the old location they had all their dings and dents out front for people to walk in and buy and even place online orders and get them pulled then and there. Now with the store 7 miles from the warehouse you have to order by midnight for delivery the next mon-Friday business day. It really hurts the quick local pick up, which they were always busy with.
With the new store they have to divert a lot of manpower that the old set up didn’t need. Old store had one person running the register and everyone else working orders. The new set up they have a rotation of 5-6 full timers running a shop, people to transport orders to the facility. Lost revenue while waiting for restocks which once again is Mon-Friday. With two locations they can’t support each other as easily as the old model. I’m sure it will work out, but it isn’t their first year of the Black Friday with both locations.
I ordered Black Friday items from MM just after midnight EST on 11/21 and received them last week, Thursday I think. I was happy that the sale prices were already loaded even though their website said they wouldn't begin until after midnight central time.
My order was small, though, just 6 adventure packs for Lord of the Rings LCG (was thrilled to get them on sale).
I placed an order with MM and have heard nothing, not a squeak. Had deliveries from the other three US based shops I placed orders with but MM still isn't even processing.
Paypal Credit is having a $20 off of $50 purchase at ebay for NA people. There's a unique code you can put into the coupon area at checkout after selecting Paypal Credit.
PayPal's internal "credit" program which isn't really a credit line. They don't pull credit reports but they also don't report to credit bureaus. So, you can get it easily, but the interest (at 20% APR, min $2) and charges can pile up quickly and you get no benefit to your credit score.
Most research I've done has naturally uncovered a large number of people dissatisfied with it (since complaints are more common than praise for anything), but it does seem like a fairly sketchy deal overall. Kind of like the "free trial" that's planning on you forgetting to cancel.

My black friday order finally shows shipped. Problem is the other 4 preorders I did previously all have the items as in but not one preorder has moved at all. I emailed them they broke my preorders down so they could "ship them" and now they are just fragmented orders sitting in the matrix. Can't even check on them anymore. Most of my preorders (fallout, A song of ice and fire, and Star Wars legion were preordered 3 months to 6 months inadvance. Makes me not really feel like preordering when my local LGS i can walk to and pick them up off the shelf.
It has put a very bad path for future preorders. Much like Kickstarter did with Relic Knights I think I am done with preorders as this years experiences have ruined both preorders and kickstarter for me. Wonder what they would do if i requested a refund on the 5 orders I have out... almost a grand? It is kind of tempting enough to try.

You should do that if you're stuck in limbo with them while the same product sits on shelves. They'll probably end up suddenly finding the time to ship you what you paid for. If they don't refund you despite having it available in the past, then you're still in the chargeback period assuming you paid with a credit card. You're not powerless and dealing with kickstarter this time so stand up for your consumer rights.
It just occurred to me today that my CMON Black Friday order still hasn't shipped. Anyone else in the same boat? This was the first time I ordered directly from them, so just wondering if this is par for the course.
Triple9 wrote: It just occurred to me today that my CMON Black Friday order still hasn't shipped. Anyone else in the same boat? This was the first time I ordered directly from them, so just wondering if this is par for the course.
Yes. My CMON order just shipped yesterday. Tracking shows it should arrive tomorrow. I didn’t get any notice, I had to log in to my account to see that.
I just got my CMON order yesterday, did anyone who ordered from Knight models get anything or shipping notifications just wondering as i haven’t heard anything yet?
Well my CMON haul arrived safely and complete today about 2 months faster than last time (and with a lot better coms)… I placed the order within a few hours of the BF sale going live so they clearly started from the right end of the order pile this time unlike last year
that's me pretty much completed my Wrath of Kings collection (or at least anything I like to any degree) so I can play (and provide any opponents a selection of forces too), pretty much essential as i'm certain the game is dead even if CMON never makes the official announcement plus a few duplicates for conversion (more flying pig men that I don't need to worry about cutting up, why yes I think I will)
A selection of The Others: Seven Sins boxes to be robbed for body horror minis (plus dice for the dice jar I hadn't realised were in there)…. the game didn't grab me but the minis are decent

My order that I placed with cmon was sent to my old address. I'm at fault tho because I when I put my order the website was all wonky and I didn't click the deliver to the same address as my billing address. I discovered my mistake after I placed my order and I sent and e-mail same day to customer service. Well I didn't get a response for a week so I called and I explained what had happened and they said they fixed it for me. Fast forward to yesterday and I receive two e-mail notifications that my package had shipped. I check today to see when it was going to arrive and it says my order was delivered yesterday. I double check my house and then my tracking number to see that it was delivered to my old address. I called customer support again and explained the situation and when they checked the system they said the previous supporter had done everything that needed to be done for the address change so they don't know why it was sent to my old address. Luckily it's a half hour drive to my old place but now I have to hope whoever received it didn't do anything with it. I just wanted to vent a little
And those wondering about Knight Models, well all I can say is good luck with that. They make CMON look fast and organized.
Yeah i’m figuring that out the hard way, I emailed them last week about my order and a separate email regarding a missing part of a miniature i got at my FLGS, and have still yet to hear anything.
I’m only waiting on my last order...I fear the clear resin zephyrs are holding up the shipment...their inventory seems to be off. But everything else was complete.

I ended up getting mine on Sunday. Received the order and they had one of the 6 models i ordered they sent the wrong thing. I emailed them about it but still nothing. Their customer service is really poor. I know out of about the 4 past requests I have done for missing parts they have only ever provided one.
Apologies for going off-topic, but since there are Wrath of Kings players here I have questions about the House Goritsi Zeti. I was thinking that I could use them in Kings of War and mount them on two 100mm by 40mm Troop trays. (A Troop should be 10, but 7 would still be Tournament legal .. if there were KoW tournaments near me).
1. Are those fancy bases part of the figures?
2. The Zeti have pretty wide stances. Could 7 of them fit in a 100mm by 40mm unit base?

The models are not attached to any bases, just a peg on the bottom of one of the feet which could be snipped off. It would probably be tight, but I think you could fit 7 on that size base. I could check later today if you'd like as mine are not yet based.
Edit: Tournament Legal requires six figures, so if six figures fit, this will still work.

Sorry, I nearly forgot about this. I just checked and I think you shouldn't have a problem putting 7-8 of those on a 100 cm x 40 cm base.
CMON Order update: I contacted Support 2 days ago asking about my order and today received a shipping notice, with all items ordered being shipped (yay Gotha Knights!)
My FLGS is having a flash sale tonight from 8 to midnight: buy one get one half price. This applies to the brands you hope it does, apparently. I'm kind of wary naming names after the Fireforge thread.

Funny this...I contacted them 2 days ago as well and got a shipping notice today. Must be a squeaky wheel situation.
Only received my notification of being send a few days ago. Thankfully, I received all of my order, nothing was removed from it due to no stock on hand. Will likely arrive sometime in January I expect.

A Few Important Notes on the Rationale for the Sale
Please Read!
We call this our “After Christmas Sale” because we here at the TheWarStore like to enjoy the Holidays just as much as our customers and are working with reduced staffing just like everyone else. With the Holidays, we know that many suppliers and shippers may have reduced scheduling or may even be closed altogether and we want to be there for you, your gaming needs, and supplies. With that said, please be assured that each order is being processed and shipped as quickly as we can get them boxed and out the door to you! We are also going to use this slightly slower supply time to take a full inventory of our warehouse. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated! We will be getting products in and filling orders as supply and shipping allow.
If you have questions on your when your order will arrive, you can always check on the Order Status Page. Also, make sure to double-check your spam folders for communications from us if you think something has gone wrong.
I received mine yesterday, with all items accounted for but one small model which was out of stock. I have a feeling my order shipped when it did only because I opened a ticket on their support site. Looks like they are still shipping orders while doing inventory, so you might want to open a support ticket to ensure your order didn't get missed.
