Hello All.

I decided to create just one thread to showcase my latest works in stead of individual threads. Put them all in one place and not crowd up the forum with them all. I will be posting photos of completed painted miniatures from commissions works, models up for auction on eBay and some that I put up for sale on my website. I will try to be posting regularly. So, please check back often. If you have any questions about my works please contact me.

I will start this thread off with an OOP Warhammer Fantasy Mordheim model I put up for sale on eBay auction this week. Aenur - The Sword of Twlight. I have had this model bare metal for years and finally decided to paint him up. I went with a dark green cloak, leather boot s and gloves.

Here is another of my latest works. The second of two Eldar Ulthwe Craftworld Warlocks I completed last week and put up on eBay auction.

This one is one of the older metal models. The helmet has been removed and an Eldar head put in its place to make it look unique on the battlefield.

Just completed this model Friday October 11, 2019. A Primaris Space Marines "Blood Angels" Librarian.

Made a few modifications to the model to make it more Blood Angely. Swapped out the force sword for a Blood Angels axe and painted it to look like a Force weapon. Gave it a Blood Angels should pad and added a blood vial to the left arm. Painted some blood drop symbols here and there on the model. Went with black cloak instead of typical bone color. More like the way Mephiston is painted up with the black cloak.

A Chaos Sorcerer Lord. I got it in the Warhammer Quest Silver Tower expansion set. I did modify it a little bit. Used a Chaos helmet instead of the horned head and slightly changed the right arms position.

Here is another of my latest works. A Sorceress model from the Warhammer Quest Silver Tower expansion set.

I went with a simple black and red paint scheme for her clothing so that she would stand out more than her clothing.

I tried out the Vallejo "Fresh Blood" Game Effects for the blood on the sword. This stuff is pretty thick so multiple coats of it can make it look like dripping blood.

Completed painting this Space Marines Black Templars High Marshal Helbrecht last week and put it up for sale on eBay auction last Friday October 25, 2019.

This t is the older metal version of this model. I pinned the sword hand to the arm and pinned the model to the base. Made the base look like broken concrete for a couple of reasons. This model leans so far forward it usually tips over with the slightest bump. Adding some weight to the base helps with that some. The other reason is that the sword sits so low to the ground it has a tendency to get the tip of the sword nicked. So this base puts it a little bit higher. Not my favorite model to work on. Never like how he leaned so far forwards. I hope they remake this model in plastic soon with another pose.

One of my latest works. An OOP Dark Eldar - "Drukhari" Lelith Hesperax model. This is the metal version of this model. I pinned all of the parts and pinned the model to a unique base. The model is clear coated for protection.

This is the original sculpt of the Lelith character. From back in the late 90's. I painted her trident to look like white hot metal at the tip.

I am not sure but I do not think this model had any photos in the Dark Eldar codices. There was an illustration of her in the first Dark Eldar codex but when the next codex came out GW had replaced this model with a newer model.

Another model I completed just last Friday November 1, 2019. A converted Space Marines Black Templars Marshal. I used a Flesh Tearers Chapter Master Gabriel Seth model for the conversion. This is the metal version of this model. Losing the two handed chainsword for a Templars power axe and bolt pistol. I had to greenstuff the greaves for the arms so that they could give a more active pose. Also had to greenstuff a larger square spot on the back of the model so that the cape would still work with the pose. The cape/backpack just would not fit right with the arm poses otherwise. The all parts of the model are pinned and it is pinned to the base. The base is made to look like blasted concrete. Gave is an overall spray dull coat and went back to brush on gloss coat on things that should be shiny.

A model from the Deathwatch Kill Team Cassius boxed set. Raven Guard Edryc Setorax - "The Silent Killer." Made the base urban rubble. Used blues for the lightning claws and the jetpack exhaust. To give them a bit of glow.

Here is an OOP "Bound Penitent Psyker - Inquisitor Henchman" model. Had this one sitting around bare metal for a long time. I decided a few days ago it was his time, so I painted him up. Made him all pale and veiny looking with glowing electric blue eyes. Looking closer you can see a bit of electricity playing around the edges of his eye slits on his mask. Not a big fan of this model but he turned out better than I expected.

Hello All,

I completed this model last Friday November 15, 2019 and put it up for sale on eBay auction the same day. This is the metal version of Vulkan He'Stan Forgefather of the Salamanders Space Marine Chapter.

I have had this model for years and was digging around some boxes and found him. It was his time to be painted. I painted him close to the way he is painted by GW with a few differences. More black on the cape and the spear tip like white hot metal. I felt the white hot spear tip seemed more appropriate for the Salamanders Forgefather. I pinned all of the parts but the backpack. It has a sizeable indention for the pack to fit anyway. Pinned him to the base. Clear coated him with Testors Dullcoat spray and hit all of the "Shiny" parts with a Vallejo Glosscoat brush on to make those parts shiny again.

Here is an 40K Ork. Mad Doc Grotsnik. It is the metal version of this model. I had him in parts and bare metal for a long time. He was part of an "Enemies of the Imperium" boxed set I picked up many years ago. I painted him up last week and placed him up for sale on eBay auction last Friday November, 22. 2019. Warhammer 40K Orks Boss Snikrot. This is the metal version of this model. All parts are pinned and the model is pinned to the base. The model is clear coated with Testors dull coat spray. Painted him in darker colors since he is supposed to be a master of stealth attacks. Painted smears of black on his skin as he would do this to help camouflage himself for the dark. Painted red glowing eyes for his goggles.

Thanks, it took a bit to get those red lines on straight. I did try something different on this model. I used some Vallejo Metallizer to make the ball ornaments have that slight metallic sheen like a glass Christmas ornament. Mixed a small bit of metallizer with some regular miniature paint and there we go and red and green metallic color.

Another model I completed last week and put up for sale on eBay. This one went fast with a Buy-it-now a couple days on. This is the newer plastic Chaos Space Marines Sorcerer. I primed this one by hand instead of by spray. I had to paint it in pieces and assemble it as parts were completed. Not my usual way of doing things but with how GW is getting all fancy with their models this will be how it will be done (sigh).

I did like how it was a call back to the older metal CSM Sorcerers. Especially, the back pack. I liked the floating Chaos sigil in his right had but that thing is super delicate with just a tiny piece of plastic hold it there. It is hard to see but the cowl on the head of the Sorcerer looks organic almost like a webbed/ clawed hand covering the top of his head and what looks a bit like intestine as a hose coming from the side of his head to the inside of the armor. I painted all of that in detail but it is barely visible unless you really get in there to look. I gave it a unique base where it looks like he is on rock and every step he cracks the rock and chaos energy is flowing from his feet into the cracks in the rock.
Painted him mostly in Black Legion colors. I will say I was a little disappointed in the left arm shoulder pad. I had hoped that they would have sculpted a chaos symbol on it but it is blank. I guess so you can put whatever symbol you want. It would have been a nice option though.

Hello all,

Here is the latest work. A Salamanders Space Marines Adrax Agatone Captain of Nocturne.

Painted it similar to the way GW has it but made a few minor changes here and there. Painting the lava on the base was interesting. Used several washes on both sides of the cape to get the colors blended right and a bit of nuln oil on the very tip of the flames to darken it.

I clear coated the model using Testors dull coat spray and Vallejo brush on gloss for shiny spots.

Space Marines Raven Guard Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike.

A much better model than the old metal original. More details and a much better pose. I pinned him to the base and added a little extra debris to the base. This model was quite fiddly at times with the grav-chute wings but not a bad model to work on.

Here is one of my latest works. A Star Wars Legion Operative Expansion : Boba Fett model.

I made a unique base for him. I am not a fan of the clear plastic flight stands so I made this base to look like he is either taking off or coming in for a landing while shooting.

I looked at a lot of movie and replica photos of Boba Fett and his equipment. I tried to get it as close as possible, painting tiny details that you can barely see in the photos but holding it close they are there.

It is a two for day. I am posting a Warhammer 40K Chaos Space Marines Master of Execution I completed last week and put up for sale on eBay Auction last Friday January 3, 2020.

This was an interesting model to work on. Lots of Evil looking Chaos-ness on him. I painted him to look like he is wearing the skins of his victims and using the entrails for his hoses for his armor and back pack. Used some Vallejo blood to put dripped blood on the ground and his robes.

Here is another of my latest works. A female Astra Militarum Primaris Psyker model. I prefer calling them Imperial Guard Psykers but I am old school anyway. This is an interesting model. It is not one that GW has on their site but is a "Warhammer" product.
It comes from an Official Warhammer introductory type game called "Combat Arena" This game includes 5 very detailed models and they are all snap together. You can glue them but it is not really necessary. I did glue this model. All five models come on one sprue.

This was a fun one to work on and I tried a few different things on it than I normally do. I do currently have it on eBay auction if you are interested in it.

This is an older sculpt but still a good one. A single piece model which I enjoy working on. Less fiddliness than the newer puzzle piece models been seeing a lot lately. Not painted a lot of blues and yellows but I wanted to do something different than the typical black and reds I have been doing on Eldar.

Just completed this model yesterday and placed it up for sale on eBay auction tonight Friday January 10, 2020. A Dark Angels Primaris Space Marines Captain in Phobos Armor.

An interesting puzzle piece model. Found it unusual for there to be a split in the cape at a fold and the helmet cut in two parts but I guess they are all that way now. Painted him with the light source being over his right shoulder so the highlights show up from one direction. Changed out the Primaris head for a Dark Angels hooded head. I know some people wonder why but he is Dark Angel and Dark Angels like their hoodies.

Here is a model I completed a couple weeks ago. A Dark Angels Primaris Space Marine Librarian in Phobos Armor. A puzzle piece model where I painted parts here and there before assembly. (fun )

Painted the camo cloak like typical Dark Angels robes since he had not yet activated the camo cloak while he was "Thinking hard" about his next move. I really wished they had given this model more options. Would have been nice to have a couple of arm and head options to make it a bit different.

I liked painted this model to the "regular" Primaris Librarian model.

I put this model up for sale on eBay back on January 3, 2020. It sold on a Buy-It-Now in just one hour and ten minutes. Which was a pleasant surprise.

Here is another model I completed last week and placed up for sale on eBay auction last Friday January 10, 2020.

It is a model from the Warhammer "Combat Arena" boxed game. This game is only available at Barnes and Noble as far I know at this time. The game comes with 5 highly details snap together miniatures, including this one.
In the game she is "Neyam Shai Murad - Imperial Rogue Trader." I liked this model immensely. She has lots of character from the metal peg leg to the brass armor with the two quills at the top to the two servos skulls helping her in combat. Note that one servo skull is actually reloading her revolver with bullets. I am pretty sure there are no rules for using her in a 40K game but I think she would make an excellent Inquisitor model with her looks. I put her on a base of deck plating like she is in combat on a ship.

Here is my latest work. I just completed him today Friday January 17, 2020. Primaris Space Marines Blood Angels Mephiston - Lord of Death.

Another puzzle piece type marine model. This one was a little better than some of the others have been but he was still a lot of work. Not sure about the instruction manual though. The head would not fit with the torso already assembled like in the instructions showed but I got it figured out, after the fact.
Also, not a fan of that loose hose under the sword arm that has to be put on after one part but before another. This is a pain when the model has to be painted in parts. Went with the plasma pistol arm instead of the "what is that smell on my finger" arm. Guess he was supposed to be licking his finger with that part. I just don't know. At least this model has a one piece cloak unlike some of the others lately.

Painted a few thing different from the box cover. Went with blue glowing hoses instead of yellow. Painted gold trim on the hemline of robes and cloak. Trying to paint those blood drops was just way to fiddly and time consuming for me. I do have a schedule when working on these things.

Used metallic gold on the armor and sword. I usually paint up the force or power swords with the electricity going all the way but how they had it on the box cover was interesting. So, I gave it a go. Not too bad, I think. His face turned out much better than I had hoped. Lots of details on the model there. The fangs and teeth with the tongue. Tiny but makes a difference.

Here is my latest work. Iron Hands Primaris Space Marine - Feirros Master of the Forge.

I completed working on him January 27, 2020 and just placed him up for sale on eBay auction on Friday January 31, 2020.

Lots of intricate details on this guy with all of his servo arms and that huge axe. Painted him up in parts, starting with the legs and torso. Then getting about half of each other part painted then attaching them to him and finishing the details of each part. Putting the head in last, which was painted separately. He was less of a puzzle piece model than some of the other recent Primaris marines I have worked on.

I like this model. It is less of a puzzle piece miniature than many other recent Primaris character models. It also has several options to make it different. 3 head options , the option to have either a power sword or power fist and to either carry his helmet or a weapon in the other arm. It does not have pre-sculpted base like many other recent character models it only comes with a flat standard base. This give you the opportunity to make a unique base for this model. Which I did. I made a base to look like he is standing on a low dirt rise with a skull and grass. A basic base for Lazarus this time. I pinned him to the base and clear coated him with Testors Dull coat spray and used Vallejo brush on gloss for the metal areas to bring the shine back up.

Here is another recent work I completed last week and placed up for sale on eBay auction on February 7, 2020.

It is a model from the Warhammer boxed game "Combat Arena." This game is sold exclusively at Barnes and Noble. It is a very detailed snap together model. I did glue it though. It is the character "Daedalosus." He is a Technoarchelogist for the Adeptus Mechanicus.

I made his base look like Martian ground. He is pinned to the base. Otherwise the model comes with a slotta base. I removed the slotta tab on his feet. Not a fan of those. He is clear coated with Testors Dull Spray and the metal parts that are supposed to be shiny have a brush on gloss coat.

I don't always paint 40K stuff. There are some commission works for other kinds of models. Here are some models from "otherworld Miniatures" that a customer sent to have painted up. All models are painted and based as requested.

These models are very old school D&D style models. I personally love them. They take me way back. There are the "Myconids" or mushroom men, a "Psionic Slayer" or Mind flayer to D&D'ers. A couple of Goblin Chieftains, a Goblin Shaman and some basic Goblin warriors. On the Goblin archers I added the bow strings using a very fine metal wire. I do not like having bows with no bowstrings.

"Otherworld Miniatures" has a ton of these old school D&D style models. Most look a lot like the old D&D Monster Manual illustrations from the 70's and 80's. I guess that is why I really enjoyed working on them.

I have painted all three versions of this model over the years. My favorite is still the original version but this plastic version comes in second before the last metal version. It is nice to have the back banner already sculpted to paint instead of having to free-hand it like in the last version. The original had a "sticker" style banner so there was little to no painting involved with it. This model is still a bit of a puzzle piece model but not as much as some previous primaris character models. It comes with a pre-sculpted base which is ok.

Here is one of my latest works. Actually, I just completed it today. A Black Templars Primaris Space Marines Chaplain. This is the first Primaris Chaplain I have had a chance to work on. So far of the Primaris Space Models I have worked on, I like this one the best. Much less of a puzzle piece model than the rest. I like that the legs are a single piece that fits right up in the trench coat of the main body. No gluing a leg to one side of a robe and then gluing the other half leg to the other side of the robe and hoping the splits on the robes fit. The one spot on the trench coat that has a split that is to be glued together is a smoother spot which was easy to clean up and make nice and smooth. The only thing I am not really a fan of is the Crozius. On this model it is just a spiked skull. And not even big spikes. I liked the older Crozius Arcanums. Stylized Aquilas, that is what should be on a Chaplain's weapon of choice. I also wish there was a choice of heads. The cowled skull helmet is on this model is cool looking but having a full skull helmet is cooler. In my opinion. I did use an older plastic Black Templars shoulder pad I had.

Here is another of my latest works. I completed it last week. A converted Primaris Salamanders Space Marines Captain. Using the Primaris Captain model with parts form the Salamanders upgrade kit. Here is another of my latest works. A Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Legion Operative Expansion "Darth Vader." I really like how easy FFG made these models to assemble. You really don't even really need glue on them. This Darth Vader comes from the a Operative Expansion box. It is a different sculpt from the Vader in the box games set. Here he is about to take a swing with his light saber.

Here is a recent work of mine. I painted this Dark Angels Primaris Space Marine Apothecary up last week and placed it up for sale on eBay auction. It sold in 8 minutes on a buy-it-now. I was quite shocked but pleased.

It is a very detailed model to work on. I like that there are a couple of options for the apothecary backpack armatures and his selected hand weapon. I did not go with the all white but with a bit of white here and there. I saw someone make a point somewhere that on the battlefield an all white Space marine amongst a bunch of regular chapter color marines would stand out and make an excellent target for enemies. I know this is a game but it is a good point. And it is easier to paint the green than the white.

Here is my latest work. A Drukhari Archon. Or as we knew them, a Dark Eldar Archon. A fairly straightforward model of the previous generation. Meaning not a puzzle piece model doing gymnastics on an elaborate base.

I painted it in generic Dark Eldar colors so that it could possibly be used in any Kabal if wished.

A Dark Angels Primaris Space Marines Chaplain. This model is lightly converted. I changed out the head of the Crozius Arcanum with an older plastic Dark Angels icon. I placed the skull from the top of the Arcanum on top of the backpack just to make it different. I slightly modified the right arm so that it looks like the Chaplain is aiming at a target. Small changes to make it a little bit different from other chaplain models.

Another model I completed last week. A Magnetized Star Wars Legion Clone Wars Clone Captain Rex. This model comes with three head options. I magnetized all three heads and torso with rare earth magnets to make all options useful and interchangeable. These include a Captain Rex head, a Phase One Clone helmet and a Phase Two Clone helmet. I tried to paint Captain Rex as close as I could to the illustrations I found of him. Adding hash marks on his armor and light wear and tear to the armor.

Here is one of my latest works. A Warhammer 40K Genestealer Cults Female Magus. I tried to go with the sexy alien babe vibe with her. Wanted to make her more alluring than evil. Painted her more towards the human side than the genestealer side in skin tones.

Painted her staff to look like old gold icon with a black marble haft. I liked working to this model and I can see ways to possible convert this miniature into something like an inquisitor pretty easily. I might try that on the next one of her.

Here is one of my latest works. A Serphon "Lizardmen" Skink Starpriest. I got this one in the Warhammer Quest Silver Tower Expansion boxed set. I did use the square base that was on the models sprue. It already had the skulls and bones molded into the base and it looked better than just putting it on a round base. I painted his sword to look like it was made from obsidian instead of metal. Went with all kinds of colors on his feathers.

I completed this model last week. A Warhammer 40K Ynnarri "The Visarch" Sowrd of Ynnead miniature. Painted the armor in all red highlighting through lighter reds and oranges to tiny spots of white. Light greys to white on loincloth and inside of cape to make the red stand out more.

Some "Otherworld Miniatures" I had painted up for commission work. A Rat Catcher with his dogs and a Monk. These are old school D&D style metal miniatures. I always enjoy working on these models. Takes me back to younger years with old metal D&D miniatures.

They are painted and based as requested by the customer. I have to say every time I look at the Rat Catcher model I always though of Marty Feldman's character "Igor" in "Young Franknstein." I even decided to paint the Rat catchers eyes like Marty's. For you younger painters out there "Young Frankenstein" was a classic Mel Brooks / Gene Wilder comedy movie from the early 1970's. Worth a watch if you have not seen it.

Here is one of my latest works. A Warhammer 40K Eldar / Aeldari Ulthwe Craftworld Spiritseer model. I painted it in typical Ulthwe colors of black bone and red. Went a bit different on the helmet. Instead of a black faceplate on the helmet I decided to make it bone to match the rest of the helmet and paint on a skull like face on it. I wanted it to look like the skull face was barely there like it is fading in and out as the Spiritseer is using his powers. The model is clear coated for protection.

These are some really cool models. I did modify this one by changing the helmet out. I wanted one with a cowl on it instead of the original. Painted it in Deathwing colors and made his cloak / trench coat dark green. The model is clear coated.

I like the larger base they made for this model. The original was so narrow at the feet it had balance issues. They fixed that problem with this version. I painted this model close to the box cover photo. Just a few minor differences.

The model is clear coated with Testors spray dull coat then brush on gloss coat over the metallic parts of the model to bring that shine back up.

Here is one of my latest works. A converted model for use in Warhammer 40K as an Inquisitor. I had this model in a blister pack for a long time. It is a metal model from Excelsior. A sculpt from 1999. I think it was part of the Warzone line. I changed out the weapons and painted her up as an Inquisitor. She turned out ok for an Inquisitor with a power blade and plasma pistol. I added a Forge World brass etched Aquila to her "chest area" armor. Used a resin 3d printed terrain base from Battle-base.com.

I went a little different but not much from how most people see this model. black with bone but I put more reds by painting the weapon blade and the top of the banner icon to look like they are red hot metal. Hello All,

Here is one of my latest works. A Warhammer 40K Grey Knights Space Marines Castellan Garran Crowe. This is the metal version of this model.

I added a daemon skull and painted it like Crowe had just dispatched it and the last light of daemon life is dying out. I placed this model up for sale on eBay auction Friday October 30, 2020 for a 7 day auction listing.

Hello All,

Here are some recent works. All are Wizkids Dungeons & Dragons Monsters. A Blue Dragon Wyrmling, a group of very tiny Imps and Quasits, an Owlbear, two Xorn and a Rust Monster (my favorite D&D monster).

All are made of a slightly bendy plastic (not a fan of that) but are all pre-primed right out of the package. They take pretty well to paint but I have been using a brush on clear coat instead of the Testors spray Dull coat. Used Citadel Technical Stormshield for the clear coating. These are fun little models. They have decent details but not quite as well as hard plastic or metal. I have been selling these models on eBay. So, you can check them out there.

Here is one on my latest works. A Dark Angels Ravenwing Primaris Space Marines Chaplain on bike.

I tried to make the base look like the remnants of an old asphalt highway. All broken up and with weeds and leaves.

No, I do not use Thunderhawk blue. I use a mixture closer to what the old GW Shadow grey looked like. I use a mixture of Army Painter black and Wolf Grey.

Here is one of my latest works. A Warhammer Day Commemorative Series: Warhammer 40K Space Marines Terminator Chaplain "Tarentus" model. I painted this model to be generic. Since they made this model with both shoulder pads having Crux Terminatus on them I just went with Chaplain black on the armor. So, it could be used with any Space Marine Chapter. The model is clear coated for protection.

The entire model was primed black.
The Bone color skulls where painted with Citadel Morghast Bone, washed with Seraphim Sepia then Ushabti Bone, Screaming Skull, Reaper Ivory nd final highlight of white. Each color used in smaller and smaller areas to build up the highlights.

The Gold skulls were painted Silver then washed with Citadel Nuln oil, Seraphim Sepia and Reikland Fleshshade.
Only once with the Nuln oil then two each of the others in succession. Once dry highlighted with silver.

I went slightly different with some of the colors than the box cover. More red and less bone color. Made the Eldar weapon she carries a more purplish tinged grey. Added the Tau skull to the base and the small Inquisitor symbols to the cloak inside edges.

Your bones seem to come out more off white then yellowish like mine do. I'll try the morghast next time. been using zandri dust as my base.

Here is one of my latest works. The Limited Edition Warhammer Commemorative Series : Jakkob Bugmansson XI Brewmaster General.

I magnetized the head and helmet to be interchangeable. Painted him in gold armor with burgundy overalls and light grey gloves. Put him on a snow covered rock outcrop.
Used Citadel Technical Valhallan Blizzard for the snow and Green Stuff World Liquid Frost for the frost effects.

Hello All,

Here are some more Wizkids D&D monsters I have painted up recently. An Undead "Ghast" and "Wight" along with a Shambling Mound.

The "Ghast" and "Wight" models detail was a bit thin. It was hard to tell on the "Wight" what some of the features were. I had to use the illustration to try to pick out tiny details. But, that seems to be a problem with these soft plastic type of miniatures. They just lose some of the fine details in casting.
