These are Ork Mega Gargants for the Epic game system (6mm scale)
They were originally sold as part of the Titan Legions game boxset (if you look that up online)
If you are selling them, probably under 'Specialist Games' 'Epic' or 'Adeptus Titanicus' (they aren't part of that game, but would probably get a few more hits)

Thank you very much indeed.
I’m likely to have a few identification questions over the coming weeks.
It this the best place to post them or would they be better directed to another area of the site?
Cheers.
They are from Epic, an old version of 40k with a tiny scale.
The one at the front is a Griffon, the next row are a mix of Leman Russes (with the guns on the side) and chimeras. The next row are Basilisks (long barrel artillery).
At the back are Reaver titans and Knights.
The double-tank thing on the right I think is an Ordinatus of some sort?
I might sound silly, but try turning your phone upside down to take pics. If you edit them, they should be fine, but a straight upload something about the meta data on the pic flips it around. I know when I took/uploaded pics from my iPad, the button/bottom of the pad had to be on the right or there would be issues.
That was a few years ago, I use an actual camera these days, so they might have fixed that. Something to try.

Wow, what a source of knowledge. I really test you with the next ones haha.
Cheers!

It's about half of Ordinatus Golgotha. The missiles and the front tractor unit are missing.
EDIT: This is how it's supposed to look:
Incidentally, a couple of those Knights at the back right of the image are really old, dating from the first edition of the Epic game system in the 1980s.
EDIT 2: I just realised there is another incomplete Ordinatus Golgotha behind the Basilisks!

These knights?
Those are more recent, from the 3rd edition (i.e. 'Epic 40,000' in 1997) era IIRC. The really old 1st edition ones are on the SoLegends page that Fictional posted - you seem to have one of each of the Paladins from that page.
Fictional wrote: Probably why I dont recognise them as "really old".
Well, yeah. It was the 1st edition ones I was describing as "really old". To me, "really old" for GW minis means "released before I got started in the hobby in the early 1990s". I.e. things that first showed up in the issues of White Dwarf I inherited from my older brother, rather than the ones I bought myself.

Don't talk to me of the old times, I was there when they happened
It's the "middle era" that I have less knowledge of, late 90s to around 2010.

Just to keep things consolidated in one thread, can I possibly toss a picture into this thread here and have someone identify it as well? I just don't want to start a whole new thread for one picture and this thread has some good traffic/posting happening in it.
So yeah, I have NO IDEA where I even got this model, I just remember it coming in a large clear clamshell box. I got it yeeeeeears ago, and it sat in my bitz box for the longest time since I believe it's from a game system I definitely don't play.
It's essentially a resin siege vehicle, a drill coming out of the ground, opening up to presumably allow its occupants to invade the breach. I may get around to painting it since it sort of fits my DKoK siege army - if someone could identify its origins I'd appreciate it!

It's a Dropzone Commander Resistance Breaching Drill - either a 109 or 209 depending on the size.

RESPEEEEEEECT!!!
Makes so much sense now, at the time I received this, one of my buddies also got a DZC alien-looking space ship that he converted into some kind of Tyranid unit (it shared the aesthetics of the Giger Xenomorph).
Thank you so much, and it has to be the larger 209 version because this thing is quite large. The details are done well enough that it is almost scalable in appearance - it works well with the 28mm Warhammer stuff I have.
Appreciate it, thank you so much beast_gts!! Thank you chromedog as well for the assistance!!
Can anyone identify this incomplete sprue?
I have around 6 all pretty much with these centre parts missing.
There is no GW Ref or number on the frame.
Cheers
I seem to spend hours and hours on the web researching with poor results whereas you guys give me the answers in moments!
Next instalment! Are they Chaos?
feltmonkey wrote: This is a fun thread. I particularly like the added difficulty level of having half the photos upside-down or sideways.
Yep, don’t know what’s going on there!
Doesn’t seem to matter what I do with the photos or how I submit them, once uploaded they’re upside down?!
It's because youre using a phone, iirc this has long been a "problem" with iPhones but it might happen with others, and it's recording orientation meta data that says "this photo is this way up".
I would guess fixes include rotating your phone or editing the image and/or removing the orientation data.
One of the old-ish Captain models - should have a jump pack. EDIT: Lord Executioner - "Lord Executioner is a title traditionally held by the Captain of a Space Marine Chapter's 8th Company. "
Hey,
I think you are right actually! They all look like old RT marines. It threw me because they have no markings on the base- mounting-bar.
Many thanks indeed!
Yeah, pretty sure within the variable range of "a few years back" that guy was still being made in metal.
Then again, I'm getting older than I realize sometimes and occasionally I forget what I'm thinking of as the events of "a few years back" actually happened roughly a decade ago.
Mine seem a bit different to the other variants which I can find as most have tails and wings?
I have a few of these but can’t quite fully identify them?
Lol, yeah and some other bits to boot! The plastic Demon Prince model has a bunch of options so it can be better fitted to the Chaos god whom it serves. Also to give them SOME variety at least.

The metal/finecrap CSM version does look similar, but has fewer options, as in none.

Has the sword and bolter arm
Yup. His idea of "options" was "Hey, kids! Wanna kitbash some things from one of our other (then) $50~ kits, like wings off a WFB dragon? Maybe also turn my sword into an axe by chopping up a Bloodthirster?"

At least here in the UK, back when things were metal, you could just order the wings or the axe that you needed, without having to sacrifice a whole kit.
Shame, it was a nice model, and the finecast version was ok...except where it needs "adjustments" and the plastic version does try to give you something similar, just looks plainer.

Yeah, unfortunately, if that period ever existed in the US, I missed out on it.
j-man wrote: How about these guys?
look to be Emperors children?
Generic kitbashes - guy on the left (with the shield) has FW MKIV legs and the rest is from the GW Command Squad, and the other one's body is the really old Boarding Marine with the helmet-holding arm from the MKIV Command Set.
That second pic looks like an attempted DW Kill Team made of (from left to right): a BA Assault Veteran (possibly Sanguine Guard pieces, but likely just Death Company due to standard Jump Pack), a DA Veteran, a RG Assault Veteran, and a BA Librarian.
Edit: All part of Kill Team Casius. I was wondering where they got so much themed plastic from.
Automatically Appended Next Post: The first pic is all FW, but I'm not as familiar with their kit names since they can have different names for different Legions.
What I can tell you is that the two on the left are Mk3 Iron armor, not sure about the one in the middle, the one with all the studs is Mk5 Heresy armor, and the one on the right is Mk4 Maximus armor with a Heavy Bolter. The grey plastic arm is kit based from a normal GW kit. And the arm appears to be a Techmarine Axe.

Leftmost one is an event Praetor body, then an event Boarding Marine body (with wrong arms) (FW). Middle one is an OOP Master of the Marches then Master of Relics (both incomplete - GW finecast). The rightmost one is Hamath Kraatos, an OOP Minotaurs special character (FW)
The guy wearing the open sleeveless coat with huge collar is actually a kitbash of one of the two Chaos Cultist leaders from the Dark Vengeance box. Specifically the shotgun toting one leading Sect Tetchvar.
Also, the metal weapons appear to be from a long OOP weapon sprue. I think Necromunda, but could be an IG upgrade sprue I don't remember.
I don't think those metal weapons are even GW; they don't match Jes Goodwin's Necromunda sprue or any of the weapon sprues from the Fanatic Press era of Necromunda.
I knew I'd seen them before! lol Had me thinking I was going crazy for a minute there.
I bow to your superior sprue identifying abilities
Honestly, I just collect old metal and have spent a lot of time sifting through all the old stuff on the collectors guide and SoL the past couple years, so I recognized the shape of the shotgun and was fairly certain it was GW. I wasn't 100% sure it was Necromunda, but I looked through it all in the collectors guide to be certain since I knew Necromunda had a lot of over-under shotguns like that. Unfortunately I only have a few hand weapon sprues myself so far, and even if I had it, I wouldn't have known it was the Necromunda Ash Waste Rifle Sprue specifically without looking it up. I can remember names and faces, but not which go to the other as it were.
Right, let’s take you back a bit lol.
These clearly say they are “Chaos Warriors” but I can’t find out any more that that despite trawling the web!
Any identification help always appreciated.
Cheers!
Deimos Pattern Predator but lacking the top turret! https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-DE/Deimos-Pattern-Predator I don't remember if Forgeworld actually made a Deimos Razorback, might have had the same chassis but different turret ...
I think that looks like the part guys and you’ve hit the nail on the head. I thought it looked a little big for a miniature but the part matches that in the model. Cheers!
Yes it’s a Russ. Looks like a Forgeworld vanquisher turret, but it might be a type out of production now. It’s also been modified with double width road wheels, but obviously not had tracks bodged on there yet.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Gryphonne IV turret I think.
To edit your photo orientation you can go to the Photos app, hit edit in the top right, crop/rotate tool of the bottom, then hit rotate in the top left until it has the orientation you want.
Pictures get take sideways or upside-down depending on how you hold your smart phone when taking the shot. Try changing the angle in which you hold it, or try locking your portrait orientation.
Mostly commenting to join in the identification fun!
The one with the wrist blades seems to be a red butcher. The single bladed spiky axe is from the red butcher set, but not for that model. The other one is the same torso but with different arms, so its hard to say which axe should go with it. The spiky axe is the butcher axe, but the other axe also looks pretty world eater-like but I can't see it in forgeworlds current range.
The bigger group are generic cataphractii terminators with the power axe upgrade set it looks like
Here's a mystery non-GW lad that showed up in a batch of Dark Eldar that I received today. He's lightweight, feels like plastic or resin, but more rigid than D&D or Reaper minis.
Aha, good eye. That could very well be it. You can't see them from that angle, but the swords have fairly rectangular, sort of katana-ish blade shape that would fit in with what I've seen on WoK minis. I'll have to try to find more reference photos.
Hi,
Few interesting parts in this bag!
Not asking what it all is but there are a couple of interesting looking parts including a flashy looking
jet-pack with halo and arm-mounted twin-headed eagle and wondering if the full model is there?
Cheers as always!
There's a pile of 1st edition weapons in that photo, too.
The power axes, chainswords and power fists come from the RT/early 2nd ed plastic ccw sprues (GW released a box of metal marines where the head, torso and legs were one piece, but the arms, pauldrons and backpacks were plastic. There's also a couple of hand-flamers and autopistols (and at least one laspistol). there's also a plastic eldar fusion gun.
The double headed eagle does look like Coteaz' eagle, but the forearm has been grafted onto what looks like another arm (the eagle is in resin/finecast, the upper arm isn't).
How about any of these?
I assume the 2nd on in from the left is a vintage chaos marine/daemon/warrior?
Far left is Deacon redemptionist?
The 3 headed dragon seems to be incomplete.
Thanks as always.
KidCthulhu wrote: Sweet! You have Doomrider (OOP Slaanesh marine biker special character) in there!

Yup! The chaos guy, sword arm, open hand arm, and I think the saddle rifle all are part of the Doomrider upgrade kit. Missing the front of the bike at least, but the main figure is what really matters.
The guy with the staff is a standard SM Librarian.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Right is another of the Masters, left is an old chaplain and used plastic arm and weapon like the Librarians. Middle looks to be the PR Vet Sgt. I'll see if I can find a picture.
If you ever sell these, please let me know where I can find the listing. Especially if you find all the missing metal parts for the Masters and the Vet Sgt. The three that used generic plastic parts I'll take with or without them as I have enough spare to complete them myself.

Can confirm the metal torso front halves being from the previous sculpt Thousand Sons kit. The original metal box was one of my first ever 40k kits. A squad of regular CSM being one of the other kits I got at the same time, I can tell you that the plastic parts are the same and appear to be correct. They would have come in a squad of 8 Rubrics and an Aspiring Sorcerer, so I'm a bit surprised to see only 2, though I suppose they could have used other 3rd party bits to stretch the metal upgrades across a number of models.
1 and 2- Eldar Phantom Titan head.
3- Chaos Spawn claws, a 2nd ed metal Hive Tyrant head and a Nid Warrior (or possibly HT) leg.
4 and 5. Not sure. Looks like a Griffon or Cockatrice of some description. Not even sure if it is GW. Will do some homework there.
Wow, that was fast. Thank you very much. I knew that the first two pictures had to be Eldar but I never had thought It would be a titan head from Epic. Thanks again.
It definitely helps, I found this Wraith too, it's SO similar, i thought that maybe mine was a previous version of the same figure, or a knockoff but didn't find anything.
I'm not familiar with Heartbreaker nor celtos, I'll look further using those clues, thanks again!!
That was impressive tbh, both the fact that you guessed the manufacturer straight away, and that you found the exact same mini. Amazing.
I'll check all the Heartbreaker range, there's a big chance that the other 2 are among them. And if not I'll strip the paint, and remove the base and hopefully they'll have a clue in the lip that sticks to the base.
No luck with the fancy skeleton, but i'm fairly certain that is also Heartbreaker, there are lots of other minis with the same hands position, either holding the sword/weapon like this, or pointing, or both.
