I had almost placed an order to start an Ito Clan Yesterday before this thread started up. THese new models aren't shown yet, at least that I could see, do we have a date as I was going to buy the Blessed, The starter box and the other new Snakewoman so this is an easy add on.

Aw. Got all excited since Gamekastle had him listed as (Open Rebellion) rather than Shiho!
Ah well.
Also, thanks for the link to Archer! Hadn't heard of them before and still coming to grips with all things Bushido here! The Wolf Clan got my number easily last year and Shiho this year.

From GCT's Twitter feed earlier today, revealing the Monk+Baboon:
With the next wave of preorders going live very shortly here is the first of two reveals that you will be getting today!
Should be soon! I'll update the OP with the cards tied to the models and direct links to GCT's product pages for those who want to go that route.
I passed on the most recent round of Shiho stuff. While I really like them, I saw everyone grabbing them and figured I could wait a bit. I've been wanting to build some Ito to go with my Minimoto, Rebellion, Monks and Ninjas, but then again I think I want all of the armies.
Should we open a Bushido Thread under the Other Fantasy Games for anyone to ask Questions and post warband pictures?
Kanluwen wrote: All are metal. Production casts are basically the same as the renders in my experience
Thats good to know. When I see only renders and I know the material will be some kind of plastic/resin then its a bit like the lottery, you never know what you are going to get.
Metal on the other hand I expect nice deep intricate detail... A shame those renders are a bit on the non texture side, the metal would take that so well.
Nevertheless metal ticks all the right boxes for me.
The only complaint I've got is that the fur texture can be spotty. My two wolves from the Open Rebellion set seem to almost be closer to flat detail than raised detail.
But that could also be from the primer I'd been using. Next attempt might prove different!

Yeah I can see those dogs on the images seem to have the same thing. I dont think its your primer or the cast in metal but rather the sculpting in 3d software disregarding the material which it will be cast and minis scale.
Its more a sculpting thing than anything else here IMO.
They have one resin model, the giant kami under the Jung pirates. It’s also the only model outside of the standard 30,40,50mm bases. The terrain (the. Toronto and altars) are also resin I believe, but not required for play.
New models are up for pre-order. I didn’t see any release date yet.
They seem to have all the cards updated on it and much smoother in my opinion to the main GCTstudios website.
Taking advantage of my last couple days at this office to color print out some new cards for my old models (Ninjas and old Temple Models) and laminate them. I have to find one of the other resources that I had which had all the traits and rules alphabetical and make a few sheets of those. I'll update a link to it here and the other thread later.
As an interesting update, the 2 Player Starter Set for Bushido now has this on GCT's webpage:
This edition of the 2PSS is now sold out, thank you all for your support. Demand surpassed our expectations but a new version of the 2PSS is in the works with an expected street date of final Qtr 2021.
Azreal13 wrote: There's something similar on the physical rulebook entry too, IIRC.
This book has now sold out, we will be making minor updates, including to the most up to date errata and then it will be available again, we are expecting a re-release date of final Qtr 2021. As always the digital version of the rules are still available to download and GCT Studios remains proud of being a pioneer of making rules freely available.
That explains why I was unable to buy a bundle starter set this week, no rulebook. I already have one plus a copy I printed off from the web page for people to read through if interested, was going to have a second book for....reasons . Guess that’ll be the next order.
Still picked up the Ito starter box, the blessed bundle (Ito snake people) and the two newest snake ladies Azami and Akame as a present to myself for starting a new job on Tuesday. Since it has a preorder in it, it won’t ship till the 17th, but I am looking forward to this new faction (for me anyway).
Kanluwen wrote: As a reminder, the models in the OP start shipping directly from GCT Studios TOMORROW, September 17th!
My order status just changed to shipped , my jump into the Ito clan has begun. Now just waiting on the airmail to arrive .
as a side note I also just backed a successful KS for bases and base toppers, as soon as those files download I will most likely use their forest themed toppers for the Ito guys to slither around on.
TR: What can we expect next for Bushido?
JE: Well, I can’t talk about much of it but I have folders for factions numbered up to sixteen now. First, expect more sub-factions for our older factions, and of course everyone will get a few releases each year. The main upcoming thing we have announced is the Lore & Campaign book.
Alasdair is writing a load of background and daily life in jwar type information and I am busy making rules to advance characters with experience, make alliances, gain permanent injuries as well as devise a lot of more narrative, less competitive scenarios that may come up during a narrative campaign.
We also have mission cards that allow you to perform deeds mid-game to gain some advantage and rules for playing on some of the more, unique tables that are not suitable for tournament play but look amazing and suit Bushido too well to be left unused.
I am not too excited to here about possible experienced models . I loved Legend of the Five Rings card game, but then they started experiencing everybody and their cousin. Pretty soon half the card was taken up by special rules and EXPERIENCED 5. I don't want to see models injured or killed off or anybody getting more powerful by a magnitude. If they want to turn a lowly ashigaru into a character i'm all for that, but Please don't cut off someones arm to give them the Obsidian hand or sacrifice them to the Oni to unite 2 factions.
Also they showed off some images from an event this weekend on Facebook. I can't link pics because I'm at work right now.
LunarSol wrote: They've technically already done this at least once. Hiroto, Drunken Master is now Hiroto, the Black Eagle
I guess, but the original model was always stated to be a pre-release special and I thought was going to be available at Conventions like they had done for other limited models. However I think that changed and now the older one is no longer available. I think another example is Bikou. She is a member of the Ryu, but there is also the Ninja version which was one of the Limited to event time exclusives.

For a long time now reimagined faction dice have been coming “soon”. Well, we are pleased to announce that the wait will shortly be over. Due for release in November these dice will perfectly complement your chosen faction as they attempt to fulfil their plans for the Jwar Isles.
May the dice forever roll in your favour.
Did they list price wherever you saw these posted? While I have never bought faction specific dice before, all the sets of my clans (Shiho,Ninja,Ito,Minimoto and Temple look good) Though I wish Temple was more different than the Ito dice. I really like the Minimoto dice
Edit: Also glad they went from 5 of each to 6 of each. There were times (rare) that 6 dice came up.
We are pleased to reveal the first model that be part of the next wave.
Entrusted with a powerful arquebus, Joben offers the Jung devastating ranged fire support. While not the most skilled marksman he makes up for this with passion and enthusiasm.
Silvermoon Trade Syndicate sees a reinforcement...
Following yesterday’s reveal let’s keep the shuriken flying by taking a look at another model dues for release in the next wave. You wouldn’t look twice at Jum if he came towards you on the streets. That is until he slips into the shadows allowing him to match even a Samurai in melee, as long as they don’t know he’s coming for them! Preorders will be on our website shortly and are due for release late November.
Kyudo, the art of archery, has long been a pastime of the Samurai. Shiho Shota, a master of Kyudo, has been training loyal Shiho Ashigaru to use bows, to devastating effect. These Loyal Kyudoka bring mobile yet effective ranged options to the Shiho.
GCT Studios wrote:A little later than planned, we are pleased to show you the final model from the next wave of releases.
A member of the infamous Bleeding Moon, Shinyuki excels in death, stealth and being prepared to deal with any situation. Hiding his identity behind a fearsome mask that stupefies his enemies, creating a moment of hesitation that is all he needs to strike first.
Pre-Order your Faction Dice and Wave 2 models now. All will be shipped for arrival late November.
You'll also find Scenario pack 3 back in stock (Whilst stocks last) and the Brotherhood themed box miniatures available individiually for the first time.
Dice are $18.25USD or thereabouts. Same price as a set of
Loyal Yarimen.

One of the few times I wish I lived in England....Then I remember the rain
Bushido things. These two models are from a new two player starter set coming in march time. They are ronin. There are ten Ronin in the box. Five Vs five. The idea is that these modules can be used in your other factions. There are tests for some non competitive 3D terrain rules coming. Like climbing etc. New rule book being printed to include all the errata.
Also, yes the models ARE meant to be resin apparently!

Very nice looking models there - thanks for posting them Kan!
The idea of ronin in the starter that can work for any faction is pretty neat - means the starter set is potentially useful for everyone, not just players who happen to like the factions chosen to go in the starter like in most games.

Happy holidays Bushido fans. Over the last 12 days we have been releasing a series of “sneak peeks” into some of our upcoming releases. For both ease of access and those who choose not to use social media we have collected these images here for you.
To keep things fair we ensured that every faction, including Ronin, is represented once. So why not see if you can match up images to factions, it may be some time until all the answers are revealed but the waiting is half the fun.
We won’t say too much about this image but Bushido players new and old will be looking for a second player to enjoy these models with…
From everyone here at GCT Studios we would like to thank you all for your continued support throughout this year, none of this would be possible without you! We look forward to bringing you lots of new and exciting content in the upcoming year. May the dice forever roll in your favour noble samurai.
New Preorders! Yuyokuma(Minimoto Faction: IT'S A BEAR!)
Life in the peaks of the Iron Mountains is harsh and unforgiving. It is a place of snow, ice, and blizzards, not one of second chances or mercy for the weak. There are but a handful of beings or beasts that can live in such an ungodly place and thrive. One such creature is Yuyokuma, a bear of prodigious size and strength with a shared soul affinity with the Minimoto clan, who worship bears as their ancestors did.
Spoiler:
Ito Koburai(Ito faction)
Itsunagi is having a profound effect on the Ito. While many revere him as the chosen of Orochi, others envy his position and plot his downfall. The clan, it seems, is divided and conflicted. Koburai is neither; he respects Itsunagi’s leadership style without question. Likewise, Koburai respects Itsunagi’s fighting prowess and seeks nothing more than to emulate it; he even wields twin blades like his hero. The swiftness of the snake manifests itself to the Ito clan in many ways, and Koburai, it seems, is blessed by both speed and reflex. Koburai can draw his weapon, strike and return to a ready stance before the blood has even begun to flow. He’s been known to avoid the stealthiest of traps and even reacts before enemy magic has a chance to bring him down.
Spoiler:
Shiho Misaki(Shiho faction)
The Shiho have many practitioners of Kyudo, and Misaki is as proficient with a bow as any of her generation.
Spoiler:
Shokuji & Gluttony(Cult of Yurei faction)
This one's text is primarily tactics related, so not posting it. It's a very...what model though.
Spoiler:
Yami'mure(Savage Wave faction)
There is little known about the Bakemono and even less understood. That they are different from one another is at best a guess, but after years of conflict against them, the Minimoto tells us of one type - so far - that defies any description of any kind. It would ring hollow had it not been reported by so many. It seems that when in the act of dying, the Yami’mure vomits forth an egg or capsule of some sort that immediately opens to reveal twin Bakemono that are at once ready to fight. There is no period of doe-eyed sentimentality; they simply grab their fallen siblings weapons and press on into the fray. If this genus is different from the others is unknown, and if they bring this reaction out in others is also unknown. What is known is that once you’ve witnessed this abomination, it’s something you’ll never forget.
Spoiler:
Kukibo(Descension of Tengu faction)
Kukibo, the apprentice, is eager to learn what the others of his species can teach him. He fights alongside others of the same feather, and because of his youth, he can keep up with those of the Blue Gale, long-known for their dazzling speed and flying prowess. Kukibo, a wielder of magic, a shugenja, can smite the Tengu’s foes from above with pure lightning as well as make the storm dance to his tune.
Happy Sunday Bushido fans! Now that our last wave of releases has shipped. We felt it appropriate to give you a sneak peak at the miniatures coming in the next wave. Any guesses as to what these may be?

Happy Valentine’s Day Bushido fans!
In the spirit of all things romantic, we would like to share a look at two star crossed lovers who will be hitting the shelves later this year as part of our new Two Player Starter Set.
I thought Hozumi was female from the art (which I like). The facial features seem very feminine so I figured it was a Mulan style situation. I hope the mini lives up to the art.
Some photos from the Facebook group a week or so ago of models apparently from the upcoming new 2 player starter:
And one from GCT that definitely is:
The heirs of two rival samurai families, destined to fall in love against all precedent and defy their ancestors. Misadventures and strife result from their forbidden love but will our star-crossed lovers survive or be forced to fight in an escalating war between feuding factions?
It's the morning after Valentine's Day and, while we at GCT rarely have cause to pay specific observance of this particular holiday, this year is different! Following our social media posts yesterday we thought it worthy to share a little more detail about our aforementioned lovers.
Hozumi Koga and Kiyozumi Hinadori grew up in the same village and while their paths didn’t cross during childhood, they met as adults and, of course, fell in love. All would have been well and their love could have formed a strong alliance were it not for the fact that an incident generations ago caused a feud which had consumed both of the noble samurais families ever since.
Koga and Hinadori are two of the protagonists of our new two player starter set. Like all characters in the new set both are Ronin profiles, meaning whatever factions you play you will be able to use some of the models from the set in your existing war bands. The box has enough to let you play through many of your own stories, as well as our Masters scenarios. You can even see character development using each character’s unique Enhancement Card.
Koga is a Samurai who is proficient with both his Daisho and Dai Kyu. His Ki Feat replicates the effect of Clan Armour for the major Clans. He has synergies with many of the other models in his family and with his theme list. The low cost of his feat means it can be used quite often or, when he needs it less, he can save Ki for boosts.
When Koga realises the depth of his feelings for Hinadori he can be upgraded with his Enhancement Card: True Love. This gives Koga significant advantages when he is included with Hinadori. This is not easy while the families are still feuding but when expanding to other lists, Koga and Hinadori make for a powerful couple together on the battlefield.
Hinadori is a Shisai, she is more of a support piece, with her Ki feats centring around healing and protection. Her new Shomyo affects damage rolls against nearby models. Further to this she has the heal trait to round out her excellent capabilities to both protect her allies and heal back the few points that do get through.
Hinadori can join the Miko as a full priestess, this is her Enhancement Card which provides great Virtue Token potential. As with Koga, Hinadori will work well on her own but when the chance arises she will take full advantage of the synergy on offer.
Thanks for that Geek! Felt like I've been talking to myself in here.
New model shown today:
Satzuko specialises in the art of massage and ki-manipulation, a role traditionally given to men, who use their strength to knead the stress and tensions from a client’s body. Satzuko however is equally skilled and more than capable ensuring Ki flows.
Musa lacks the dexterity to climb the rigging, fails time after time to tie the simplest knots, and suffers violently from seasickness. However, when an enemy hoves into view he more than makes up for his shortfall as a sailor by pounding his enemies.
Spoiler:
Temple of Ro Kan!
Botan is well-suited to form part of your Temple Warband as he offers excellent mobility with his ‘Cloudwalk’ power. He is also a respectable combat model who use his flames to finish off those he doesn’t stop with his fists.
Clad in a heavy, flame-resistant suit or armour, Satou Togai wields an unorthodox weapon that is an unholy combination of steel and chain that gives it a range most opponents will underestimate much to their peril.
Spoiler:
Spoiler:
“Say nothing, hear everything” is a motto often ascribed to the Satou clan, otherwise known as the Hare clan. Throughout the Empire and the isles, the hare is often seen as a ‘trickster’ creature, full of mischief and surprise, and the Satou are no different from the animal they chose as a visual representation. The Satou clan are staunch allies of the Takashi clan and have been since they set foot in Jwar. While they are similar in martial prowess to the Takashi, there is one area of warfare where they succeed better than most, and that is in creating unusual weapons and tactics. Satou Togai is merely another warrior chosen to test their latest creation in the fiery crucible of battle.
Jinichi is a valuable member of The North Star who adds a slightly different approach to what they do. He has perfected fighting with a strange weapon that is a unique combination of blade and chain, and the whirring sound it makes as he spins it is often the last thing his enemies hear before they die. Because of its reach, it can quickly get between a samurai and his sword, thus breaching his defence leaving him open to attack. The blades are designed to cut and tear the flesh from his enemies bones, while the chain can immobilise the arms or legs of the unwary. Jinichi is no stranger to the poison stores of his night-clad clan, and he incorporates this into his fighting style by anointing his blades with deadly toxins. Jinichi is a lethal killing machine with a penchant for tactics and terror.
Before the fall of the Shiho clan at the hands of the duplicitous Takashi family, Yoshitaka was a drummer in the ranks of the Shiho who would lead his men proudly into war. Yoshitaka is all that is left of the battlefield musicians.
Generally, yes. They've started to mix in some resin on larger models like the bear.

Ito:

Ronin Accidental Reveal!
Spoiler:
Many men with few options take up the sword and hire on as mercenaries. His experience with the sword is a top selling point for potential employers but Atsunobu also has a reputation for sticking the fight out… if the price is high enough.
GCT wrote:Yesterday we said that some Bakemono had caused issue with the reveal of Atsunobu. Well it turns out more foul plays were afoot as Atsunobu was not even supposed to be revealed yet. An internal investigation is currently underway but early signs point to the cultists of Yurei…
Ronin meant to be revealed:
Spoiler:
While he would have been welcomed among any great house fighting men, Tadaoki's skills are not for formation fighting or yari work. If you pay him enough you may see his unique guard piercing attack that has ended many opposing duellist's aspirations.
Placed an order last night, love the Dollar being up against the GBP right now .
Also I think I might have found a couple people to get into the game finally. Hopefully will get some free time to try it out in June. Until then, stripping and painting...hopefully in that order .
While he has not yet progressed to making weapons, Kinzoku is considered a master armour smith. The Armor Smiths most often accompany the Minimoto Army to war as they both maintain the army's gear, but they also choose the worthy unblessed to gift with a new suit of armour, allowing them to truly become Ashigaru.
Upon joining the house, Nagato began to learn the twin Hook Swords. These weapons, more than most, require intense training. Students spend 16 hours every day with the weapon and must still attend to other duties and see off any Worms looking for promotion. Nagato set their determination and struggled through hours and days of rote learning creating muscle memory until she was pronounced ready.
The Ghost of Fuwa is a tale older than the Empire's rulership of the Jwar Isles. In the story, the spirit appears and causes suffering and sorrow in Fuwa until a lowly monk tries to banish it, learning it was wronged in life and must be appeased. Its ghostly hands escape the lantern looking for flesh to squeeze and choke, such a spirit is an obvious draw for the cult of Yurei. How much of the story is true, we cannot guess, as it comes to us from the Ito clan, allies of duplicity.

We would like to offer our most sincere apologies that it has taken us some time to make this announcement, but we we trying everything we could to get the wave released before the end of this year. As it stands the wave will be available in January, but we will provide updates as and when we have them.
This next wave has some fantastic models within it and we can’t wait to share them with you fully. For now though, we will share a sneak peek at one of the models to be included, any guesses as to what it may be?
Additionally to the above we have received questions about the outcome of our Kitsune painting competition. The results to this will be posted by the end of this week, so keep your eyes out on social media for the stunning entries!
We are busy working on a balance errata, which should also be live in January and are continuing to ask for feedback to make this the best it can be. Check out our Discord server for more information on this.

Sad to see this news, I was looking forward to seeing what was next!
This is supposed to engender excitement and anticipation, correct? I'm not sure a snippet of a card will do that but admittedly I'm not invested in the game.
Kanluwen wrote: I'm running late on this, but their website also was not super stable the past few weeks.
First up is a Prefecture of Ryu model:
The defenders of the Golden Dragon Shrine are some of the finest warriors in the Jwar Isles. Each one not just a capable Samurai but a devout Michi practitioner. The nature of the Shrine and the things it protects are not known, even to the Daimyo of the Dragon Clan but the guardians would each give their lives to protect it.
Kizoko is the first of these new type of Samurai for the Dragon Clan. They play very differently, though you can substitute them for other samurai and they can cover that role well. Disturb Flow offers some new tactics for the Prefecture and if you have Virtue Tokens, the ability gained is valuable.
Spoiler:
Next is Ito:
The Ito Shugenja have been testing the limits of their clan’s connection to Orochi. Where the Shisai are granted power from the Kami, Shugenja take power and abuse their bond. As soon as the first followers became Hebimiman, the Shugenja tried to do the same. But where Orochi’s gifts are seamlessly blended into the supplicant to make a perfect predator, the Shugenja experiments often produce malformed piteous creatures they call Abominations. The Daimyo may have halted these blasphemous rites were it not for the animosity it creates within the clan, thus ensuring his power and position.
As the battle goes on, Yankī’s abilities get better and better, but he will burn out early and cannot survive the battle. While his Rice Cost accounts for this, you need to make sure he engages as many times as possible during his peak power to get the best out of this unique profile.
Spoiler:
Temple:
After a meeting of Masters, The venerable Master Ekusa was nominated by Master Enos to become Grand Master of the Temple.
A single leader to combat the many threats the Temple faces with the Savage Wave, Cult of Yurei and strife among the Samurai Clans (Again) being exacerbated by the return of the Kinshi Temple from out of time and existence. Ekusa still sits atop his old friend Kame Sam, but the newly opened Ki energies have invigorated the old master, he now levitates above the tortoise shell and he looks less than half his true age. With all the resources of the Temple at his disposal, will Ekusa turn the tide?
Temple players have been using Ekusa since the original release of the game. With his unmatched Channel and Leach abilities and unique support options he already has a place in many lists. His new options open the choices for list building even more with an enhancement to make him the ultimate support model in the Temple faction. He now comes with an Enhancement card offering more abilities making sure you always get a great activation. The Believer trait is one that monk players have been wanting for a long time. The new model also comes with a theme card which only permits Master Monks. While this is very limited, the abilities gained allow for a really cinematic list where the Masters are all but unassailable.
Spoiler:
SAVAGE WAAAAAAAAAAAVE!
Most Onisho will use a variety of weapons in their desire to grow, kill and exalt themselves into full Oni status. Yasei has used weapons but is one of the most proficient unarmed Onisho seen in decades. He seems to instinctively know how to bend, twist and break opponents in increasingly creative ways.
A great melee fighter, with an array of Special Abilities, Yasei is a fairly straightforward profile, granting clear advantages to any Warband needing some melee bite. His support abilities also help, in particular being able to destroy terrain can be a key ability to break stalemates.

Tomo was training in medicine. While still an apprentice they were called to tend to a sick patient and made a terrible error. Not only was the patient lost but Tomo contracted their disease. Now horribly disfigured Tomo was unable to get new patients; who wants to see a diseased doctor? Also dismissed from finishing the required education, fate seemed to have nothing but failure in store. Things turned around when Tomo discovered exactly what kind of patient would go to such a healer. Several Silvermoon Shatei burst into Tomo's meagre rooms with a fellow who was about to bleed to death. With unfinished and imperfect knowledge, Tomo did the best they could and the patient survived. Now valued for keeping clients confidential as much as healing talents, Tomo makes a living tending to the lowest rung of the Syndicate’s employees. Several patients have died due to the shock of the treatments and many bear terrible scars from the primitive, half understood methods Tomo uses but when the Magistrates or the Prefecture Patrols are after you, sometimes there is no other choice...
Spoiler:
Lastly, Pirates!
Fire is every sailor's worst nightmare. Anything that could be a fire hazard is kept as far away from the Jung’s fleet as possible. Crew are not permitted to light any kind of fire on board, even the smallest flame, the only exception being that of the ship’s cook. Fire can also be the greatest weapon at sea, a single flame can destroy an entire ship. Few captains use flame weapons due to the danger to their own ship.
Kurutta is crazy and most captains, even Hibiki, will not permit his home-made devices on their ship. But sometimes needs are great and Kurutta is brought to wreak havoc among enemy ships and crew alike as he throws bombs with maniacal fervour. Kurutta’s damage potential is unmatched, but keeping him around to use it is key to making the most of this model in game.

Adepticon Special box:
House Shadow Themed Warband
Spoiler:
Even amongst the secretive Shadow Clans - those who operate in the darkness performing deeds that would stain the souls of lesser men - The House of the Long Shadow are an enigma, specialising in subterfuge and clandestine operations. Before any battle, The Long Shadow will have studied the terrain, enemy tactics, and the target's fighting techniques and swordsmanship.
While all Ninjas can perform feats beyond the abilities of most mortals, The Long Shadow has been rumoured to use teleportation, invisibility, and even the shadows themselves from which to attack and harass foes.
March Preorders:
Shiho/Tengu:
Spoiler:
The plains are vast, undulating oceans of grass and steppe fought over by horse-riding warriors of unparalleled speed and skill when in the saddle or on foot. Theirs is a nomadic lifestyle for most of the year until the long-dark winters come, and it is only then that they tend to dismount, gather around the watchfires and reflect on the days and cycles that went before. During summer, when the grass moves from side to side like the waves on the far-off seas, hunting game becomes more about skill than sheer brute force. Some hunters - like Batu - chase down larger prey while on horseback, unleashing a string of well-aimed arrows from his short curved bow to bring down deer or savage-toothed boars. But the falconers step forward when the grass is long and the prey incredibly stealthy. The rider may rule the plains, but the birds of prey rule the skies, and nothing escapes their knife-sharp eyesight. Rabbits, hares, small goats and deer are all a part of what the falcons catch from above. This relationship between a tribe member and a hunting bird is especially beneficial in the winter when the horses cannot move through the shoulder-deep snow.
Cult of Yurei:
Spoiler:
Gashadokuro are mainly mindless, but somehow Satou Hatchi is not. It’s become apparent that not even his death can make him forget his extensive training and use of his now-mouldering battle gear and rusty weapons. Even more disturbing to his Yuta mistresses’ is that he has begun leading other skeletons into battle, much as he did in life! Usually, when the Yuta fashion a Gashadokura, only the bones break the earth’s skin to rise and serve again; the intellect and life spark of who they once were are long gone. Not so in Satou Hatchi’s case; there has been corruption in an already corrupt process!
Tengu Descension:
Spoiler:
Some of The Children of the Fallen God have recently returned to the world above. A handful has forsaken their subterranean kingdom for life under the suns blinding light. The man they call Ekashiba is one of these brave souls. For centuries they have remained hidden, driven underground by the first of the Savage Waves against this world. They had chosen an open domed cave far beneath the lofty and terrifying heights of Takawa’s Talon as their place of worship. Here, the bodies of expelled tengu from the world above would arrive explosively, bathing the initiates in blood, bone and the holy feathers of their sky-bound gods that they worship from afar. The elders take these twisted remains and fashion talismans, clothes, and even weapons of war for the rest of the tribe. Ekashiba is one of these tentative explorers. He carries a Tengu Bone pick, far superior to most of what the tribe wield. He also has a sacred talisman that he prays gives him some of the tengu’s innate nature. Clad in the remains of his fallen gods, Ekashiba yearns to seek a path to the top of the Talon not just to worship the tengu from afar but serve them loyally as a follower.
Shadow Wind:
Spoiler:
The number three is synonymous with those who deal death from the shadows. That’s why Fuma wields a three-sectioned staff against his enemies. Fuma can use it with each “end section” in one hand while having the centre block incoming blows. Or he can swing the whole weapon granting him extra reach and power. No matter what he decides, this skilled assassin of the infamous North Star has options, and in his line of work, options are paramount to survival.
Minimoto:
Spoiler:
Odamu is typical of the Hoshi family. Their ways are old, uncorrupted by what others deem new or modern. Visiting them is to journey back in time regarding speech, manners, food, and attire. Hoshi Odamu is no exception. He wears armour most newer samurai have never even seen! However, his close relationship and proximity to the Minimoto clan ensures his blades and garb are still the most exemplary in Jwar. Because he has the blessings of the Bear Mon, he is at home fighting alongside his Minimoto allies. He has, over some time, developed a deep and heartfelt affinity for the great bears that call this place home. He feels it almost spiritually, a meeting of minds when both bear and Odamu are near one another. He cannot speak their tongue but has connection enough to lead these ferocious beasts into battle. He likes the wilds and spending time with the bears, following them into areas so cold and remote that another person would perish in moments. Not so Odamu; Hoshi's blood warms his veins, and the Hoshi are famed for enduring extreme cold and foul weather.
STILL WAITING FOR US RELEASE:
Inari's Judgement Warband, Hofuku, and Senshi blisters
Spoiler:
The complete Inari's Judgement has been released, as has the ghost lady.
It's becoming a bit much to handle this thread so if anyone else would like to take a stab at it, feel free. GCT's website and its news feeds just don't work all that well anymore for me to update!
I think that's a lantern, often used to guide spirits. The vengeful spirit itself is essentially an Ikiryo, which is usually a woman who suppresses so much hate that her spirit literally leaves her body to seek revenge. Relatively famous piece of Japanese horror/folklore.
warboss wrote: Thanks. Is that supposed to be a paper lantern and painted as such?
Yeah, I believe so. The official artwork has her holding one that is more of a box style, but I think this is still supposed to be a paper lantern in another style:
These miniatures are cast in resin or metal or both? If both, how do you tell which is which?
I've looked at listings for Ito Mamushi on various store sites, as well as the company's own store site, and nowhere does anyone tell you what material the sculpt is cast in.

I'm used to their general model releases being metal, but I see where the style of descriptions changed for the releases so it's harder to tell. Also reminds me I need to hurry up and paint my Ito so I can catch up on releases.
Weird, I thought they listed the material on their webstore. I've definitely seen new releases be either resin or metal, though for anything that chunky I would assume resin.
Did some digging on their Discord and Ito Mamushi is metal; seems most individual miniature releases are metal and resin is showing up in the 'bigger' boxes.

Yeah, the only resin I've gotten has been stuff in boxed sets (of which I'm still woefully behind on painting).
