Working on a way to late pledge. The only KS exclusive was the Baker's dozen bonus mini. I'm sure we'll sort something, we had at least half a dozen people messaging us because KS/Stripe doesn't accept their particular credit card or whatever.

Concerning the Halloween sale and KS, is it possible to put in a Halloween sale order to be shipped with our KS stuff? It looks like the UK to US shipping for two orders would cost nearly as much as the models in one order. I don't need the Halloween sale stuff I want to buy soon, but I do need them

Someone else asked similarly. It is possible yes, just write in the comments box what you'd like done and we'll put it to one side

Great! I will put in an order tonight or tomorrow then. I am really glad you guys are taking that step for folks, because international shipping is one of the main reasons I haven't bought directly from HF for a while, and frankly I'd much rather you guys get the money from a model rather than just 30% or whatever the distributors pay.

Halloween Goody Bags
No Mail Until Nov 8th!
(This is a reminder newsletter 'but' it does have a number of new sections after the repeated sale one. It also has an update on the end date of the sale due to us attending a trade show in Belgium over Bonfire Night weekend)
Right, after a month of ups and downs that all led to minor delays/issues we 'really' need a break to catch everything up.
(The flu, a Kickstarter, my bathroom needed entirely replacing banishing me to a hotel and Jenn attending a family reunion in the States, all in one month!)

New Resin Master - Archbaron von Drumpf Spaceclad
Archbaron Gloosus von Drumpf is an overlord of the Akulian Empire. While he rules with a tiny iron fist he is not well-liked by the people and keeps his power by sheer ruthlessness. His corpulent form is prime breeding ground for the many disease on his desert planet and he is forced to spend daily treatments floating in his healing tank to try to keep ahead of them. Due to this practise, and the many workers, nurses and slaves that have seen it, the most popular insult whispered around the slums of the city roughly translates to "As smart as his penis is large".
Seen here naked and floating.

Is Hasslefree suffering from a massive backlog of orders or something? I know they're busy with the Kickstarter, and had a lot of people on sick leave at the same time. I placed an order with them two months ago on September 8th. I've spent about 5 weeks trying to get in touch with them, occasionally getting an answer and a promise to "track down the paperwork" for my order as they couldn't figure out whether its been dispatched, only for several more weeks to go by without a response. I pm'd them on Facebook on Sunday and I know it was read but again they didn't answer. Its been two working days since then. I don't even particularly care that its late, I just want to be kept informed and reassured that it hasn't gotten lost in the post or something.

You have tabs for Browse, Fantasy & Steampunk, Modern & Post Apoc, SciFi & Weird War, Basing & Accessories, Artemis Blacks, but the home page tab is the big Hasslefree Miniatures banner at the top of the site. People (like me) probably assume its just a non interactable banner. I never even knew you had a front page until I was given a direct link, it never occurred to me to click the banner.

Hi,
It's been a while since I ordered from Hasslefree, so I don,t remember. If I order Modern Trooper bodies that have a weapon in the description, does the weapon come as a separate piece that I can then just clip off and convert, or is it a solid piece?
It's just that so many of items have no pictures and almost the same description, I'm not sure anymore.

People seem to forget that political choices have a huge impact on businesses, and disproportionately on small businesses. Brexit not only meant we had to rework our entire next year business plan but screwed me personally as my wife is American and pays her american student loans in dollars. Trump will have economic impact acoss the world, his policies such as thsoe on climate change will affect my children and he's a reprehensible human being to boot.

People keeping quiet is generally ho bad things happen. You misunderstand.. I'm all for you having an opinion. I hope everyone has one. The problem is, you are also the face of a business. If the American election has taught me anything, it's that professionalism is dying an agonizing death. That said, I think this is probably more of a philosophical debate where divergent opinions are going to persist regardless of the dialog.. and most importantly it's probably not appropriate for a N&R forum. Unless the rumor is that HF is running for public office.. which would be endlessly amusing. EDIT: I meant to mention this but kept editing down what I was going to say for brevity. Many artists create personal accounts and professional accounts. I am also an artist and I don't typically look for work through Facebook (as an example) but that's where I have found at least a few projects and I had not really thought to do what I suggested for myself until just now that we're having this conversation. So if anything, my clients will benefit from this discourse... though they have largely been from Poland and other countries that seem to not care about our politics.
13192
Post by: Ian Sturrock
I think that expecting artists not to ever make political art, or to have publicly known political opinions, is about as sensible and likely as expecting cats to form a nice orderly queue. And avoiding buying from political artists pretty much cuts the number of interesting music you can listen to or novels you can read to zero... I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens with minis.

I'm actually in agreement about 'personal' things, for example you won't see me make more than the more vague or generalised comments on my personal life on FB or via any work source etc.
I think our disagreement was that I don't consider politics to be personal. I would post about the prices of tin or tax laws and politics regularly affects those.
If our prices go up or down based on exchange rates, and those exchange rates are directly affected by a political decision, then it's weird not to mention it. Once you mention it I find it weird to have to try and not give an opinion on it.
We're not a nameless, faceless organisation
For example, Brexit screwed me personally. If I was living a very balanced monetary life and needed extra pay to cover that and HF wasn't in a position to afford that I would have to get a new job, which would likely have meant HF being sold. (Thankfully I didn't need a pay rise or anything, I'm just annoyed by it).
I don't think it's reasonable to expect us to not mention that we aren't too happy about something that could have meant the end of the business.
Politics isn't like religion or your favourite football team, it's directly linked to economics and business.

We have a new 'empire' to add to our sci-fi line, mostly by sculptors who aren't Kev. They might include some extra parody figures, so you never know what will show up
We're likely to run a KS to launch the line, as it's not by Kev it doesn't affect his work on the recent one we ran.

I hope they do a female pirate in 28mm rather than 40mm, I'd like to use one as the basis for a Rogue Trader.

Not a fan of either of these beautiful Rogue Trader/=][= bait models?
I love both of them.

They are both very nice minis, but I am looking for something that fits more of the pirate archetype visually. The first mini suggested looks more like a hired gun or mercenary, while the second looks more like an Inquisitor or Witch Hunter

Regular pirates don't sell as well for us sorry. We missed the boat when Seventh Sea was a big KS, maybe that would have been an opportunity.
The 40mm one is a private project for someone else, we will likely end up selling a variant but it'll still be 40mm though

Question for people with experience with metal Hasslefree miniatures, do you recommend pinning? I picked up Haleth and Dynamic Ulfred to paint up and stick on a Secret Miniatures base as a gift to a friend and Ulfred's arms are separate pieces with smooth flat joins. I'm tempted to just superglue them on so I don't have to worry about the pins being dead center but I don't want them to fall off later. They won't be used for gaming so they won't be handled much.
32186
Post by: Vain
I've scratched up the flat joins but never needed to pin any of my Hasslefree minis. That said I have mainly had their "regular sized" miniatures, not their bigger models. Not-Conan is probably the largest one I have bought.
Hopes that helps.

I'd say some cross hatching / roughing up the surface would be the effort if you don't want to pin, i's easy enough and won't hurt.

Does anyone know if Hasslefree has quit selling to Fantization Miniatures? I'm still waiting for a back order for a Hasslefree mini from November (Hanako, which I had been hoping to paint for someone as a gift). They've otherwise been good about some Kensei and Bushido minis (sending partial orders as things were available).

Its out of stock with hasslefree too http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=hanako~hfc013&category=modern-%26%0D%0Apost%252dapoc~modern-martial-artists
so could well be one of the ones they're going to have to remaster before their caster can produce any more
(worth dropping them a line to ask if its something that will be back in production soon, or not for the foreseeable future)

Mould is dead, will be around 4-6 weeks before we get any in stock and can supply retailers. Sometimes it just happens with unfortunate timing, like maybe the retailer had an inventory error and we can't fix it for them.

Archbaron Drumpf is part of a short kickstarter that was planned for around now but has been delayed due to my surgeries. Might have to wait until post-Salute now unfortunately as I don't think a late March kickstaretr is a god idea as half the UK are saving up for Salute We'll see.

It's a collection of minis, mostly not by Kev, that we have combined to form 'The Akulian Empire', another force in our sci-fi universe along with the Grymn, Galactic Navy and the Freebooters.
The Akulian Empire's home planet is desert-ish, they are a warring empire and heavily influenced by religion despite supposedly being a triumvirate ruled people (Politics-Religion-Armed Forces). So we have some monks and bald priestesses. We have their regular troops. We have some combat suits. Most of the people are blue-skinned but Archbaron Drumpf is orange-skinned due to the tank treatments for his diseases. Some of his followers have undergone treatments to turn themselves orange to show their devotion.

They are being altered, the sculpts as is there are identical except for hair and weaponry, and the weaponry is interchangeable.
So we are amending Mother Morrigan with some added doodads and both will come with a sprue of both sets of weapons.
At least that was the plan, and then the Kickstarter happened and these have remained on 'list'. You'll notice both are now unavailable as resin master to, which means those moulds have died and I am awaiting a hole in Kev's schedule to get the new ones done and remoulded.

A lot of our decals are still out of stock sorry, every time it gets close to the top of the list to fix we've been knocked back a bit, most recently I've been in and out of jaw surgeries for a couple of months.

You were going to see if you could print them in white rather than it being an OOS issue. Hope your jaw is recovering and that future surgeries are not needed, or at least minimal.

Thanks to my renewed nerve problems and surgeries over the last couple of months we were overdue restocks, orders, emails, pretty much everything. Lots of you have been bugging me about when certain minis are back in. Well they've started arriving and more are coming in this week.
To make up for the delays we're having a quick 48hr (ish) flash sale. The code will be active until the end of Tuesday.
Enter 'FACEPAIN2' in the code box* for 15% Off your order.
*The code box is on the confirmation page, stop using the comments box!
Fair warning, no complaining when new releases come out next week or some delayed restocks arrive etc. That's how these flash sales work

I have placed an order with them in a last days of August, got an e-mail about it being sent on September 5th and since then - nothing. Our biggest sale of the year! Use the code 'HALLOWEEN2017' to get a whopping 20% discount of most things* and a discount of everything else. Input the code on the final 'confirmation' page, at the top. If you hit the payment page you went too far. (Stop writing it in the comments box! Anyone who writes it in the comments box is getting the worst flavour sweets!). We've also updated our system so the code can now be used multiple times by the same customer, meant to do that for a 'long' time! *The below new releases, red box, some other stuff, are all just reduced rather than the full 20% off, you'll see ) The sale runs until November. Please remember, no mail will be posted until the sale is over, the discount is in return for the wait Oh, and for the big spenders, as always during promotions we have... Halloween Goody Bags Anyone spending £70 or more* will qualify for a Halloween Goody Bag. Goody bag will contain a variety of 'things', a free mini or 2 (themed appropriately), some 'bitz' such as sand or cogs and, of course, extra Halloween candy (i.e. it's sour!). *Actual total paid, including discount, postage, VAT etc. Larger spends qualify for larger goody bags, no limit on goody bag size We will also theme the goody bag to the order, so if you ordered Fantasy the free mini/s wil be fantasy and so on.

Sorry, I have no use for any Facebook, and after web seller or shop sends an e-mail with "order status - shipped", I assume that any further communications should be carried through that e-mail or whatever else was in the "contacts" page. But this is irrelevant and has to wait if Your health condition is still serious.
It is just the first post item going missing in a long time, coupled with no replies and bank deadline for complaints approaching all together made me more jumpy than I usually am. Get well, all the rest can wait an' be sorted later.

'However', while that is one of the better problems to have, it has pushed our posting process to the limit! Our small village post office, that we love, is not a massive fan of bags of 100+ orders showing up every day and so it may take at least another week to clear this lot.
It took us 2 days just to print and sort them all!
So, we very much appreciate your patience, the discount was there for this very reason, and we working on it every day! 'Every' day!
Arty.

We are 14 years young today!
Hasslefree is officially a young adult! Time to start hating on the older companies for being out of touch and showing them how to use modern technology I think
To celebrate another year of success we have opened up a flash sale code, for the next day or so the code '14TODAY' will take 14% off your order, get in quick cos it'll be turned off when I remember tomorrow
Flash sale orders won't go out until the end of the week, as we're neck deep in KS fulfillment and holiday clearance for the first few days of the week.

I ordered a couple of minis in mid-November. Paid for 48 hour delivery.
A week later I got an email saying there had been a delay due to stock issues, but the minis were now dispatched. No trakcing number was provided though.
Nothing arrived by Christmas, basically a full month later. Unfortunately, though I had sent a whole bunch of chasing emails I hadn't seen the site's front page noting an alternative email address until mid-December, so nothing moved forward until I started a paypal dispute.
Took about another week or so for the minis to be dispatched with a tracking number. I received them last week (early Jan).
So all sorts of comms errors and delays, but finally sorted out. My only complaint still standing is I originally paid for special delivery and though Hasslefree and I agreed over email that the minis were already so late it wasn't worth posting 48 hour delivery and I'd be refunded the postage cost difference, no refund emerged.
EDIT: And now of course I feel terrible because having received and opened the late package I find Mr. Hasslefree added some sweets/candy plus two extra miniatures as an apology (both really awesome minis not just random stuff), which easily makes up for the problems I had last month. D'oh! Okay, I'm happy now

Anything bought using this code won't ship until the end of the week, fair warning! The reason why is in the next section below. Another fair warning, no complaining when new releases come out next week or some delayed restocks arrive etc. That's how these flash sales work Oh, and in case you're wondering why on earth that is the code... State of the HF Union On Sunday I'll send out the yearly ' HF State of the Union' newsletter. We'll go over the past year and talk about plans for the future year etc. The following Sunday we'll restart our release schedule (No metal releases before Salute sorry, explanation in that newsletter). I'm spending the weekend clearing the last of the sticky 'issues' then the week will see us clear the last of the KS pledges (minus those who haven't completed the pledge manager). If you're concerned about anything relating to a HF website, please email us using BWARTEMIS at GMAIL dot COM (Not the domain name emails) , if you already have and haven't received an answer, I'll get to you this weekend as I clear literally everything out (Man, you have no idea how that will feel). If you'd like to bump your email to make sure, feel absolutely free. If you're concerned about a KS pledge, then you can email us if you wish, or they have now fixed the inbox glitch so I will be clearing those too. Sunday will also see the next proper Update there. We will be closing the pledge manager this week. As we'll consider it done, it will be closed and we can start releasing the miniatures to the general public, at their correct RRPs, next month.

They sent a newsletter listing the litany of health and personal disasters that befell them in 2018 but they are still in business and will have new models at Salute.

Good point, here's the relevant part:
WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE AN ISSUE?
If you have already talked to me via bwartemis@gmail.com, bump it. It'll save time and the information is already there.
(please make sure it isn't in all caps, or have giant photos attached etc. I'll still get it but it'll take a few days to dig it out of spam)
If you haven't already talked to me then please email Sal at MrsHFMinis@hotmail.com
This will allow Sal to collate the info while I'm busy prepping for Salute and then I can resolve your issue more quickly.
Sal is also currently handling the Hasslefree FB page (although you may also get a random answer from me).

Seems to be the way he works. Nude ->clothed ->conversion. People always seemed to want the nudes either to paint or as sculpting blanks so they started selling them more.

Seems like a good approach to me. They get more mileage out of a single sculpt and more people get the model they want. Win-win.

Might even oder from them again after going through a Paypal refund with them, because e-mails weren't answered at all for months.
Still lost money because of falling exchange rates :(

Post by: Geifer
I wouldn't be so quick to consider them "back on their feet", personally. I placed my current order over four months ago and they are maybe starting to sort it out now. Which I guess is still better than the previous order which I had to wait 11 months on, with plenty of communication attempts that went unanswered.
That said, I do hope they get everything back in order and things go smoother in the future.

Post by: BrookM
Damn, never figured things were that bad.
Then again, I called quits and stopped following them last year when a miscast was replaced by another miscast. I decided not to follow up on it as the extra minis thrown in to make up for the long wait then were perfect casts at least.
One of these days I'll hopefully get my hands on a Rae that is not missing part of her arm or face.

I made an order from them fairly recently (back in September or October?) and I received the models in a timely manner without any casting problems.

Post by: Geifer
Yeah, I want to add that when I eventually got my previous order, the model quality was fine and they threw in a couple of extras as an apology. It was just the very long time in between that was infuriating. I didn't actually expect such poor customer service from Hasslefree. Took me quite by surprise.
I don't think the majority of their customers had major issues over the last year or two. The last newsletter certainly makes it sound like that and you can see plenty of people posting on Facebook that they're happy with their latest order.
I just wish I wasn't always in the group that experiences massive problems. Hard not to take that personal after a while.
7375
Post by: BrookM
Yeah, just to chime in, that order has been the only Hasslefree order that's an aberration for me in terms of quality, previous orders had their usual excellent quality.
It just annoyed me to no end, because the mini was to be a gift to someone, ordered well in advance with the usual busy hubbub surrounding their prep for Salute kept in mind, so getting a miscast twice and being overly late killed things for me in a big way.
I still follow Kev on Facebook though, his interactions with some folks are just classic.

problems seem to be continuing, hope Sal recovers fast Allo Everyone, I'll do a proper post-Salute thank you later, or maybe a quick newsletter thanks but this is a quick announcement to cover the current state of things. It was a 'rough' show this year, multiple hands down. But it was still good seeing everyone and thank you all for the many and varied well wishes and words of support etc. If you follow Sal's page, you will know the next part, but for those who don't., Sal collapsed at the end of the show, medics were called and kept informed and we booked her into a hotel to stay in London for the night. She did manage to drive home the next day but fell ill again and is currently hospitalised but well and waiting for test results. I'll pass on any info that Sal wishes on that. I'm fine, for the most part, I am walking around the unit like Hans Moleman but I'm not in hospital so I'm winning that one. 'Medically cleared' probably shouldn't immediately start with 'moving multiple tons of metal' but there yago. Which means I am back to work, if a little slowly for today, and I will start getting back to everyone who messaged etc from the last few days later tonight and I should be back to normal tomorrow after another good rest. (This means the people who messaged us over the last week will see their KS orders go out as we picked and put them to one side before leaving. Some already went last Tuesday so you may already have them. Once done I will put another call out and then if nobody responds to that we are drawing al ine under this KS and we will thank everyone etc.)

Sally here:
At this point in time I am ready to just cry. Despite us explaining why there have been delays I am still getting abusive messages. I cannot physically be in two places at the same time and the morphine makes me sleepy.
I cannot ask the post office to deliver your order on a public holiday despite how desperately you need it and shouting at me is not going to get it to you any quicker. Orders taken to the post office yesterday won’t be processed until Tuesday as it’s Easter holidays ... that isn’t our fault and being rude to me won’t make the process any faster.
Dameon is currently working 6pm to 3am to catch up after the Salute closure. If you send him a message on here at 3pm then re-sending it every 10 minutes and then publishing an abusive visitor post after half an hour is not going to get him to work any faster, sorry.
Orders from the last 3 weeks have been delayed. We closed for Salute on 2nd April as the warehouse was packed up ready for the ‘Salute 2019’ show in Excel London on 6th April. This was clearly stated on this page.
We got back from London on 8th April and once unpacked and staff had had their legally-owed time off we started to get ready to fill any web orders that had come through whilst we were shut.
The delay was amplified by the fact that i collapsed at the Salute 2019 show and was in hospital for 5 days and am still not back at work. This also clearly stated on this page.
Yes last year we had some issues with temporary staff and a bag of orders lost from the post office and we have resolved 95% of those issues despite still being 2 members of staff down.
Logistically we ballsed up the Kickstarter 2 years ago, we know that and have learnt from those mistakes and are still trying to clear up the straggling orders that were not shipped. We have apologised profusely for this.
Despite our public profile we are a small business, family-run and can’t afford to have huge levels of staff unless we raise our prices which will also cause friction.
We can’t win and believe me if I had another way of supporting my family then I would walk away now and throw 15 years of hard work down the drain for mistakes made over the last few years. I can’t do that and shouting at customers is frowned upon so instead I get up and try and rectify every day. I understand your frustration but I also need you to accept that we are seriously trying our best.

If you literally can't fulfill orders then the correct choice that will stop customers from jumping down your throat is to NOT TAKE ORDERS when you already have a long standing and ongoing issue with fulfillment. It really is that simple. Put the disclaimer up and hope that your loyal customers will return in a few days instead of inconviencing (whether temporarily or not) those loyal customers. I understand that it is a business and the spice must flow to pay monthly expenses but... if he's at the breaking point like that post suggests... it's better to step away for a few days and risk losing a portion of a few days worth of sales than risk throwing away 15 years of hard work down the drain. I'm not condoning harassment or bad behavior on the part of irate customers but the choice to take their money when you don't have the ability to fulfill your end is entirely on Hasslefree and not them.
60720
Post by: OrlandotheTechnicoloured
but they can fulfil orders, just not while they're away at a show which was very clearly flagged up on the web page and the newsletter, (and at least some of the complainers appear to have used the discount code from said news letter which very much rubs salt in the wound) Edit: as for Easter people who live in the UK should realise the post doesn't get delivered over the holiday, I can understand folk from outside the UK not understanding this, but then they shouldn't expect it to arrive immediately anyway as whatever gets sent out to them has a significant amount of traveling to do anyway

Statement by warboss still applies, since they could also have closed the shop for the period they knew they couldn't fulfill orders (Salute 2019, in April) but chose not to.
Also, he didn't say from who he got those abusive messages. Maybe it's from angry backers of their Kickstarter who still didn't get their stuff. Angry backers can be really angry and abusive, see the SDE Legends thread for examples.

I'm not sure how other people do it, but I ordered from Hasslefree, entirely stopped caring about when the minis would arrived, focused on other things, and got a nice surprise when the minis arrived. So I'd rather have been able to order when I felt like ordering, and then having to “wait” a few more days (I ddin't wait I did other stuff instead) rather than having to come back later to do the order.

That's generous of you but I don't think that not caring when or even if your paid in advance products arrive is currently nor should be the baseline for most customers. I'm glad that it works for you but I'll stick to expecting my minis in a reasonable time frame as specified at the point of order after getting ripped off on kickstarter on my first go. YMMV.

Hi Everyone,
Dameon here (Just to differentiate between myself and Sal )
I have just sent out the normal Easter newsletter 'but' there is a section in there for those of you who had an unresolved issue awaiting us getting back from Salute. Please read that as well as the below if you had an unresolved issue
Honestly, the truth is, I was just knackered and it took a few extra days to get properly back into it. Which bled us into Easter week. That's it. No big conspiracy, there's hardly any issues left and those that are are being resolved (resin ordered, inventory error etc, nothing major).
I'll be working Easter weekend (at the odd hours Sal mentioned ) literally just to let people know 'That was resolved, sorry I didn't let you know until now' as the resolved bit's been done already.
Also, please stop shouting at Sal, she's in another country and is literally collating the info to give to me as an amazing timesaver.
As an aside, cos it's a nice story, I recently solved an issue from a customerwho had a broken mini in their order over a year ago and 'didn't want to bother us'. So yes, I am now digging issues out from the back of the sofa to resolve even!

As already commented, they advertised on their site that there would be a delay. That why there was a discount available over the Salute weekend. This is standard practise and has been for decades. I’ll be generous and assume you were unaware of this.
In any case, if your order is delayed, that’s no excuse for abuse. Anger? Impatience? Yes, and it’s fair enough to express that. But there’s no excuse for insults and abuse, and any attempts to justify such are rather despicable. Especially when they’ve been open about how both members of the sales / customer service team have recently been suffering from serious physical and mental illness. Anyone who thinks “I don’t care if you’re hospitalised, I want my twenty quids’-worth of toys is scum, seriously lacking in common decency.

I honestly understand how frustrating the last 18 months have been and for those who have stuck with us “Thankyou “ from Kev and I.
If it seems as if you are getting repeat requests for information from us it is because Dameon C Reynolds is overwhelmed in the unit catching up with orders and I am collating all of the issues each day and sending them to him so that he doesn’t have to waste time hunting for info through email/FB/messenger.

Been a while since I last heard anything about Hasslefree, but the following popped up on Facebook earlier today:
Sally here:
Until a few years ago HF ran like a well-oiled machine and then unpredictable circumstances literally made it stop. It was always a juggle for casting new releases versus restocks of older figures but mostly we coped.
The ‘emergency stop’ 2 years ago hit the organisation and routine very hard, before long we found ourselves struggling to keep on top of everything that needed doing. There are still a few unresolved issues from that time but mostly I am assured they are sorted.
At last it seems like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel, we have releases due soon, restocks of both minis and other resources coming through and soon we will be able to start the long-awaited ‘catch-up’ of unreleased figures that Kev has still been sculpting even through the ‘emergency stop’.
We really do appreciate the way you have supported us throughout this difficult time and thank you all so much for sticking with us.
I went to the resin casters today so decided to share a few pictures that show the scores of as yet unreleased figures that I hope will give you reassurance that we are finally (fingers crossed) getting there x
So, hopefully soon we'll be seeing a lot of catching up with long overdue metal releases. I know I've been waiting on quite a few to happen for some time now.

Only if it actually is only two weeks. The history gleaned from following this thread seems to imply otherwise all too frequently. I'll admit though that I have no personal experience though with ordering from them direct.

I wouldn't say frequently. There was a specific period of time in the recent past where, due to issues explained in some detail afterwards, orders were unacceptably delayed without this being communicated at the time.
To the best of my knowledge, this period is over. While I have not ordered from them recently, none of my orders over the past I don't know how many years have taken more than a couple of days to be sent from what I recall.

I've done that repeatedly since January. Every 4-8 weeks I'd even get a reply with an apology and the promise they'd look into it.
Just this week they said it was sorted out. So, did they put my order in the box and left it to rot in their warehouse? Did they send it out? Am I going to get a dispatch notification? Am I going to get tracking that I originally paid for?
Who knows?
Their communication is abysmal and their ability or willingness to fix problems is even worse.
They're probably just trying to break the previous record. I think I've even posted it in this thread, but the order I placed two years ago took 11 months to get to me. Suffice it to say I'm done with Hasslefree* as soon** as I have my current order. They had their second chance, I'm not going to do this a third time.

Yes that was part of the period when Artemis was in and out of hospital & deep in KS related problems so it's likely they don't even realise you've not got it (either because the missed it, or they shipped and the post office/customs lost it)
now they're mostly back to normal they should be able to sort it out and appologise

So I got an order about a month and a half ago, and one of the miniatures was on the invoice but not in the box. Since then, I've sent two emails and a Facebook message and not heard a peep.
Is this normal Hasslefree customer service?

It’s normal service since Artemis/Dameon has been involved with the company

Officially it's because he's had a lot of health problems.
Obviously the real reason is that 'Dameon' is a clever anagram designed to throw the space inquisition off the scent.
FWIW, I've ordered occasionally during the 'bad years' (to Australia) and never had any real dramas. I do recall at least one email I didn't get a reply to, but the actual orders showed up within a reasonable timeframe.
... I've probably just jinxed myself saying that.

The good news
Hi Everyone.
Just a quick blast to give out some news.
Firstly, a big 'Thank You' to everyone who participated in our Halloween promotion. It was a great success for us and we appreciate the continued support for the business.
In fact we have already managed to get 25% of the many hundreds of promotional orders out the door and more are being packed as I type.
I also took the downtime to solve a number of outstanding issues that had been plaguing us (and the customers involved). However there is now a slight spanner in the works...

The Bad News
I'm not at the office. I'm at home and unable to walk.
Don't freak out, it's not permanent or anything, as those of you who are long time customers of HF know I broke my back when I was younger and sometimes it decides to remind me of that.
I should be fine in a couple of days, I am taking painkillers and rest. However it means I'm not at the office. Which in turn means I can't update anyone on the good work we did over the last week as my notes are there and also I can't answer any enquiries that require knowledge that is at the office.
I 'can' read emails etc. remotely on my tablet, but this is a notice that for the next couple of days that'll be sketchy.
This is 'not' a return to problems, should my back not be the usual 'few days out' then I will arrange proper cover but I am expecting to be back at work for the weekend and will be working it to catch up the missing days.
Our metal and resin manufacturers are busy with orders for us, packages are still being picked and packed so we're not totally shut down or anything, just slightly delayed.
You can still continue to contact me directly on bwartemis@gmail.com for emergencies/issues
Thanks
Arty.

Gave them another shot with this year's Halloween sale, because the additonal versions of the KS models were too nice to pass up. Paypal would've got my back anyway if this ended up dead in the water again.
Received it yesterday, so looks like they are working as promised.
Good quality casts, as before. Hope they become one of the good guys again, though the latest newsletter doesn't look very promising.

Hi Everyone.
Well that took a few days longer than expected., For those who didn't get/read the last newsletter I was home injured.
I broke my spine when I was younger and every now and again my body reminds me. Only I'm apparently old now so it took a few days longer than I'm used to get back to a working percentage.
However...
The Good News
I'm Back!
We have cleared over half of the sale orders, the rest should go out this week along with issue orders fixed before my injury.
I am going to spend a bulk of the next couple of days sending out emails and despatch notifications and then hopefully be done in time for...
Well, I think we all know what's happening in a couple of days!
Don't forget, you can still continue to contact me directly on bwartemis@gmail.com for emergencies/issues, I have some people to get back to from my away time and I'll be doing that asap.
Thanks

The Artemis Black Friday Special!
Well, after you guys slammed our Halloween Special, why not keep it going!
We're super slammed right now, especially with my time off due to injury but we can't let this weekend float by without our incredibly popular Black Friday page making a comeback!
Let's see what we can do!
You said Black Friday page?
Yup, you heard me, there is a special Artemis Black Friday page with a number of miniatures at 50% off! We've chosen 70 products across a variety of categories, both old 'and' new.
There will just be 10 each of these available, so it's first come first served, just like the real thing Try not to elbow any old ladies on the way to the checkout!
Some new resins in there as well, but I'll wait until they do them in metal instead, hopefully in time for Salute 2020.

Could anyone assist me of contacting Hasslefree? I still haven't received my latest order and my pledge of the Kickstarter it launched and any attempt of contact (e-mail, direct calling) brought no result (there was no reply).
I even tried to communicate via their Facebook/Messenger account and although I have received a reply mentioning that my staff would be dispatched immediately, months have past and any furhter attempt of communication has failed.
If anyone could provided any assistance I would be grateful.
Thank you.

So I'm in the thirteenth month of waiting for my order now. My advice is the same as Hanskrampf's, if you can make a claim through Paypal, do it. If you don't have anyone with the clout to force these people's hands, they'll do exactly nothing for you.
And while you're at it you may want to consider never giving them your business again. I'm sure you can see why I would make such a suggestion.

Holiday Closure Times
Right Everyone, we close on Friday 20th and Re-Open January 6th.
Those are our 'official' closing hours for the Holidays but as everyone who runs their own business knows, I'll be working various days throughout that period and wil be ablt to answer emails etc.
If you need something as an emergency, either email me on bwartemis at gmail dot com or include it in the comments section of the order and we will do our best!
Where Are We At?
Well that's a stack of a couple hundred postal sheets I now have to go through to let people know their orders went out before Christmas. We tried to prioritise international orders to give them a better shot.
Despite my injury stealing a bunch of valuable time, we cleared about 99% of the Halloween and Black Friday Orders plus a number of outstanding isues that contacted us.
Some people will now be getting tracking details or despatch emails before they get a reply to their emails etc. sorry as we had to prioritise orders first.
However, we are on track to close for Christmas issue free!
It will be bloody glorious.

Have you always been "ValentineGames" here of Dakka Dakka or were you once...someone else?
Anyway, I've ordered from Hasslefree and have always received my minis, sometimes not as quickly as the time before.
Some people are apparently still having issues receiving product they've ordered.
Hasslefree is a 'small business' and as such, things sometimes don't run as smoothly as everyone would like.
Overall, I'd still order from them.

I've been ordering from them for many years without any issue. I am not disputing that others have had long waits or even not received their orders, but I suspect they're a vocal minority. Understandably vocal -- if I'd not received something I'd probably be having a moan about it at least once a week till it showed. But it's rarer that satisfied customers post, I reckon.
Made a small order (5 minis) in the sale, anyway. My biggest issue with HF has always been the relatively slow speed they get new metals released: I own almost everything they've made that I have some vague use for, by now.

I've ordered from them several times in the past and was very happy, this is the first time I'm having trouble. They seem to be in a rough patch right now is all. Not long ago everyone was gaking on hasslefree miniatures as they struggled with a kickstarter and severe health conditions and problems with Facebook business and it seemed new problems each week.
Everyone kicked them when they were down and enjoyed doing it too.
It was a true showing that the community has some real scumbags.
But I remained patient as everyone demanded blood.
And now I made an order last week and BOOM here it is 26 figures.

Feigning moral superiority while simultaneously calling fellow posters scumbags who simply wanted a timely delivery of products they paid for really doesn't reflect well on you. Good job I said "the community has some" not all then isn't it.
But of course people interpret SOME however they decide.
It is pretty scummy to demand people work the day after collapsing at a show.
Or (but not as scummy) demanding they answer Facebook messages when Facebook wasn't allowing them.
Mind you. It was allot worse over on Lead Adventure Forum.

Deft backpedalling marred by a slightly clumsy gaslight finish.
I didn't know what had happened. When I saw your post about 'scumbags' I was filled with my own sense of outrage and looked back in the last few pages here. Some ( ) opinions about Hasslefree range from 'ungracious and uncaring' to outright abusive (The latter being those couple of horror stories from facebook rather than here) but there's still a seed of understandable frustration buried under there, and perhaps a lack of the full picture.
But guy, you're taking it way too personally in return. Especially now. What's your angle in being so antagonistic now, months later, when things have died down and Hasslefree are getting on their feet again? What's the point of waving a box of minis under people's noses and crowing like that? Can't you be happy with your new lead, let other people be happy for you, and let them see quick service from HF rather than beat them over the head with it?
Deep breaths VG. In through the nose, out through the mouth.
What did you buy? Is it nice? What are you going to use it for?

Not just go by a thread on the most biased forum on the Internet.
I'll give you props though for being as consistent in your attitude towards for the forum your feelings towards the customers that you as a business are supposed to be serving. Of course, I may just be "misinterpreting" your username's meaning and your post too yet again...

Kindly stay on topic and keep things polite, that goes for everybody.
I am also looking for someone to run a new Hasslefree N&R thread so we can retire this one, someone who is willing to keep the OP up to date with the latest news and releases. Thanks!
