That will be one of the children of Laocoon. GW like classical references.

It needs more skulls.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I like it - it's dramatic.

Ditto on the snakes, but they do look cool.

You mean the ones that make a 'V' shape denoting the Roman numeral for the number 5? As in 5th edition?

Very cool looking. I've looking forward to see what 5th edition brings since the PDF was leaked. I like the artwork on the cover and 40K's classic one liner.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I agree about the Laocoon reference, but it also probably represents the Emperor battling the serpent of Chaos.

This cover is much more eye-attracting than the 4th edition cover. I like it. It's no Rogue Trader cover, but I like it.

I'm sick of these mutha****ing snakes on this mutha****ing cover!

There, I said it. The deed is done. We can go back to our regularly scheduling...whatever it is we do here.

I'm pretty sure that's a halo over the Emperor. Someone mentioned Laocoon earlier, good pickup . Laocoon and his sons were strangled by serpents sent by a God...not unlike the Emperor and his Marine/Primarch 'sons' being strangled by Chaos (Which presents to Horus as a snake cult). 5th right around the corner....

I hope GW posts the 5e video on their websites. The version I saw was taken on a cellphone, so it is too tiny/far away from the screen. The video confirms July 2008 also.

Nor I. Hmm.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

Me either, but I do sort of see a '6'. Perhaps this is the 6th edition cover for 2012?

Anyway nice job.

Me likes... especially if 40k gets this middle age in space feel. More of that please!

The V isn't intended, imo.

Well, who knows what the devs intended, Schepp? I guess we'll just have to wait for the FAQ.
