I hope that's not a technical drawing from one of the IA books. I want a few Valks like everyone else.

We just got new Commies and Ogryn and a new Commy in the works. These are units that were never used in optimized lists. I hope the designers improve these selections to make them useable. Otherwise, what's the point?

I think they're off on the "Inquisitor and Retinue". I believe it'll be a repack of the old WD High Command rules. Similar enough to be confused as an Inquisitor I guess.

3 LRs that can't move if they want to be useful and 2 Bassies that are actually worth their points? I'd call it a fair trade for the crippling of Vehicles.

I love that Commissar-Lord, though. I might replace all my field Commissars with him just because the model looks great.

The CAD drawing of the Valkyrie is different from the FW version, unless GW plans on adding a centrally positioned bench that swings up into the ceiling as well. This also raises the question of whether or not this Valkyrie will come with door guns and if so, with door gunners.

My guess is that is a new chimera (as apposed to a Valk)

I'm wondering if the Commissar model is actually the rumored new Inquisition HQ. If I remember my fluff correctly, Commissars and Stormtroopers both trained at the Schola Progenium. Perhaps taking one allows for Stormtroopers to be taken as troops.

Look closley guys. There are four different Commissars in that pic. It's the standard 'Make two poses and make four sculpts from it' that GW does with everything (look at the new Commissars, the new Chaplains, Librarians, the Masters of the Chapter etc.), but it's actually four different Commissars.

Which is awesome.

Commissars may be junk, and have been in the last two Guard Codices (they totally roXX0red in 2nd Ed), but they're one of my fav things in 40K (no, really?), so the more the merrier.

I still long for my old 2nd Ed Commissars. One of the characters I made - Commissar Chandler - rocking around with a Power Fist and a Jump Pack. Served me well for quite a few games, including helping an Inquisitor Terminator Lord see off a 20-strong unit of Berzerkers. He was so awesome... until he went face to face with a Khornate Terminator Lord and was brutally slaughtered. Sure, he took out a few of the Khornate Terminator bodyguard first, but in the end he was only a mortal...

Ballots are in and the orks are screwed when it comes down to point matches.

Marines drop in at around 557 pts, assuming that the sergeant is not a veteran and that the captain isn't souped up with upgrades.

Orks come in at 485 pts, assuming that the nobs all have huge choppas and the boss sports a twin-linked shoota.

With all the new commissars continuing to look like fat desk jockies, no wonder FW is always out of their commissars.

Always loved the commissar models and try to get every one and paint them up. I think I still have that Commissar Cadet Squad from the 2nd Ed. days buried around here somewhere . . . .

That would make sense, as a Cadian guardsman (we all know they are not short!) is standing in they crew compartment. Also they back door is diagonal mounted as opposed to the vertical mounted one in the current Chimera.

Also looks like cadians will be the primary infantry for IG again.
