Hey guys, I've got some new Ork stuff I wanna show you:

1. a Bad Moon Warboss.



The basic body for a Big Mek with Burna and Kustom Forrce Field


And a special Weirdboy/Big Mek. I had this idea, since the first sketches for the new Ork 'Dex came along.



I was a bit dissapointed when the actual Weirdboy didn't look at all like that drawing, so I decided to build my own. The basic idea, it that a Mek build himself a device to absorb raw Waaagh energy like a weirdboy does. And if I don't want to use a weirdboy, he'll count as Mek with KFF and Klaw.

so, what do you think?

The warboss made me smile a bit ^_^. Something quirky and cool about him. I think it's the hat.

i tossed around the idea of making a warboss from a ogre bulls body. is it much bigger? can you take a pic of your boss next to a normal orc for comparison?? thanks!

What you see on the left is the normal metal Warboss with a modeled hat, coat, and a new right arm.

that weirdmek is really inspiring for a while ive been racking my mind how to explain a big mek having weirdboy powers, the whole machine to do it artificialy is something i never thought of

I just wanted to make him look fatter. I didn't realize he would turn out to be bigger than the rest.

i dont like the wierdboy head, so personally id use a different head. other than that it looks gggrrrreat!

a small update guys. I have a game tomorrow, so I had to spped paint the Big Mek and the Koptas. Since I am currently in a lazy phase again, I'll call those finished. The Big Mek will get a cigar the next time I work with green stuff.

i have to say they look much better painted, and theyre well painted!

I don't like the Warboss. He looks too naked and far too much like Charlie Chaplin. The Mek w/ burna is really nice though. I didn't think the burna arms would fit him.

He's a supposed to be a Bad Moon Warboss. When Apocalypse came out, I decided I could build a bunch of different HQs for different parts of my army to lead and I thought that a Bad Moon Warboss should look larger (read: fatter) and somehow richer than other Orks. That's why he got the top hat and the monocle.

Heh, I didn't even see the monocle but I was about to suggest one. I like that guy even more than the Weirdmek actually. The ogre body has kind of a stiff pose, but he's fat so he's probably not terribly agile anyway.

You could even put derby hats on your nobs if you're using them. I think that'd look cool. Any further than that, like putting handlebar moustaches on them, would probably just be absurd though.

The weirdboy and warboss are sweet! Loving the hat.

Derby hats are similar to top hats but more rounded and curved. Charlie Chaplin's "Tramp" character wore them.

If you want to explore that aesthetic more, you might want to try watching the movie Gangs of New York for ideas. Daniel Day-Lewis' character in it has a handlebar moustache and wears a top hat. Plus it has some interesting choppas.

Ah, it's like a "melon"-hat I think...
