Necromunda WIP.
A small but deadly spyrer-team made by me. Most parts are taken from the assault marine and eldar guardian sprues. Would be happy to get any response, good or bad.
Start with my jakara
Malcadon 1
Malcadon 2
Orrus
Yeld
Patriarch
They´re still far from done. Need to come up with a good colour scheme and things like this.

Oooh, very creative mixups from kits. And they actually look similar enough to feel like a gang, while it is apparent that they are just a bunch of spoiled spirer bratz showing off their toys.
Welcome to Dakka btw.

Thanks for the welcome and for the response. I still haven´t manage to come up with a good colour scheme though and wont have access to a digital camera for a while, but updates will arrive.

Unfortunately for my poor Spyrers, their time is up. It didn´t take them too long to get killed in the fierce underhive (blame it on a great amount of bad luck). So instead I have started on a fierce religious crusade. Combining parts from different plastic kits in the WHFB & WH40 range, I have started a redemptionist gang.
Here are some pictures of the progress so far. The pictures are not of superb quality, but I hope they will do till I get my hands on a better camera.
Starting of with my Redemptor priest
Deacon
Zealot 1
Zealot 2
Crusader 1
Crusader 2
Crusader 3
Crusader 4
Devotee 1
Devotee 2
Devotee 3
Devotee 4
More updates will follow.

And yet another update. This time I started painting 3 more models, even if I know that I should concentrate on 1 at a time. Oh well. Then I have also updated my Crusader 3 after getting some good comments from friends and rivals.
Crusader 3 update
Deacon
Priest
Zealot 2
Would be grateful for any comments.

If you´re refering to the big blob of purple on the right arm, it´s going to be a leather band. Haven´t painted it yet though.

I do believe you have gone hobby-insane, that is a lot of odd and interesting conversions... just a note, take your time and visualise the model before you do it. It helps a lot.

I like the conversions!! A lot infact!
What's with the weird grey/stone/crude/drybrushing paint layer though?? What do you hope to achieve? I can't see how it would benefit the layers that come on top.

Thank you. The drybrush here is used to get a good look at all the details before even starting to paint properly. I know it´s not the best one to use, but I´ve grown attached to it.
And here´s a new update on my priest

The rules for the patriarch are in the latest spyrer rules on the GW homepage. Just look for Specialist games - Necromunda - Resources, and there should be a PDF.

I love your creative take on the modelling. You really have a feeling for the 40k look. Another way to see the details is to basecoat the model white and wash it grey or brown.

ANd another small project of mine. I´m not very good at using the Green stuff, but gave it a shot. Making an underhive scum, that I can´t even use myself. Based on a villain in a renowned videogame series.
A short inspiration rush, after spending so much quality time with my redemptionists

Those look great the purple really suits the Redemptionists guess it's because i associate it with the Priesthood. These are really nice conversion what do the Ork guns counts as though? I really like the brutish savage look it gives them however.

Thanks. I´m using the orc guns as a "combat" shotguns. Thought they looked like big nasty weapons. Guess their looks are worse than their bite though.

It is actually technically very simple and pretty useful. Coat your model black, then drybrush it crudely and quickly with grey. That gives you a rough "black and white" idea of how the details look together. It can sometimes be tricky to see how all the different skulls, weapons and other bits adds up if the parts are just different shades of plastic grey and greenstuff green. You can get a similar effect by basecoating white and washing the model with brown or black. It is a useful first step to figure out if a conversion will look as good painted as you imagine it, and it can help to decide what parts to paint in what colour. If you often play with unpainted minatures, they look a lot better when done like this, rather than plastic grey or just basecoated.
