I dont really care what it is, so much as the bits it will contain. But then given that its going to cost an arm and a leg for anything they are putting out with this release anyway, I probably shouldnt care to begin with

But I'm still curious as to what GW thinks they can sucker us into buying this time around

Y'know GW has been putting out quite a few pirates and undead pirates lately, I'm thinking that's what's next.

After all, pirates were super hot 4 or 5 years back and that's usually how long it takes GW to jump on a fad (see Codex Rambo).

So my money is on pirates, zombie pirates.

As well as a whole slew of new warmachines like the "Dark Orb", "Partridge Chest", and special character "Johnny Robin".

I think that would be pretty cool. Not mindless zombies though, more intelligent hard to kill thinker types. Undead Pirates. It would be good to have some of the water ways controlled. Maybe they will even be from Somalia.

And we'd have a use for an Ork Submersable.

I hear that they're Space Marines.

After that, there will be Wood Eldar, Space Warriors of Chaos, and Necron Counts.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Why is there not some kind of monkey-race? Everything is better when there are monkeys involved. That would be like printing their own money.

The original Jokaero were space-Orangutans. We should have had figures for those!

"Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! Slayer of worlds! Felt the power throb in his weapon. He clutched it tightly in his hand and turned towards his foe letting it build in the twin energy spheres and then finally! RELEASE! The throbbing weapon ejaculated burning white fluid over them as Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! laughed manfully!" - From the epic novel, Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! Obliterates! the! All humor aside, I would expect if the rumors are true, the army will be revealed at the UK Games Day, Sept 27th, 2009. I would expect GW wanting to make such a big reveal in their own backyard. I would also expect it at this time, as this could be the late November/early December release. (Got to have something big for the holidays.)

As for the nature of the army, pirates is a possibility. I really believe it is down to four options: pirates, fishmen, cathay, or old ones (angels).

When it was first getting tossed around Warseer and I ran across the thread there, it was supposed to be unveiled around the June timeframe, and released in time for Christmas, if I recall correctly.

But honestly, your speculation seems much more likely if something huge was in the pipeline like that. UKGD would be where it would be shown to the world, cause imagine the hype that that would generate.

Seriously though, I hope it is something knocks our socks off. GW could use the plus, and something nice for us gamers would be fantastic too.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Whatever it is, I bet 5 internet dollars it's going to have something that reams Daemons. It'll probably be some overpriced weapon or sucky unit that ignores wards.

Basically GK is what I'm saying.
