Ooh... so thats why AUS is so hyped , a 17% sale from UK is actually 38% due to exchange rates? I wonder whats the math for us Canadians are .

Picked up 4 of the Strongpoints, plus a box'o'Tomg Kings skellies and some Ghouls (for Warhammer Quest). All up, about £200. Makes it about AUD$400.

Buying them here would have cost me $685. I'm happy with a 41.6% saving.

No it's just that Australia gets butt-fethed by GW more than any other country that I know of.

For instance:

Space Marine Tactical Squad = AUD$55.
Space Marine Tactical Squad from UK = AUD$39.7
Space Marine Tactical Squad from US = AUD$43.4

And everything's like that. I save AUD$15 just from buying from GWUK at their retail prices, let alone any online discounters. Now lop an extra 17% off that price, add in $0 shipping charges, and you can see why I pimp Maelstrom to everyone, and have converted many'a Aussie at this site to their cause.

Maelstrom is the only way I can reasonably afford this hobby.

For around $151USD [and some change] I picked up:

Imperial Sector
Imperial Strongpoint
Imperial Bastion

So I should be getting enough terrain to set up my modular Cities of Death board. I'll probably be using my bastions as throw terrain, though I really want to incorporate them in to my Cities of Death board [hurray for modular elements with an already modular board!] I went with three Bastions so I would be able to actually play Planetstrike with an odd number of objectives as suggested. I'm looking forward to this kit and seeing what kind of stuff I can do with it.

What I'd really like to do is make an indomitable fortress, but we'll see.

The Imperial Sector is SO cheap from Maelstrom, only about $66USD.

A single bastion is only around $24 USD. I Could have picked up three bastions for the price of the stronghold but then I wouldn't have got the Defense Lines.

EDIT: Just as an FYI the maelstrom email DID end up in my SPAM folder as, well, SPAM. I use gmail. But luckily the "SUMMER-MADNESS" discount is a super secret members only thing.
