Even if it doesn't win, Jaws really is a sensational film. I bought it on DVD a year or so ago on a whim and sat down to watch it, having not seen it for about 10 years. It is an incredibly well paced and irected film and I strongly recommend that you find it and watch it again, as an adult, especially if you haven't seen it for a while. Yes the special effects are laughable by today's standards, but that's not the point. Trust me. Watch it. It's simply a superb film!

I watch it on a weekly basis. The interaction of Quint (Robert Shaw), Brody (Roy Shieder)and Hooper {Richard Dreyfuss) is amazing.
