You and every kid/collector in the world. It's better to put it in the middle of a group in either the highest or lowest rows(or in the middle of a group of unrelated figures with larger packages). Collector's always check the back first because kids and other collectors think it's safe back there.

Also, if you notice other people looking at the same products and really want it, carry it around with you for a little while and maybe leave it in another row entirely. If you try hiding it in front of them, they'll just watch were you put it and snatch it when you're not around. I've seen guys do it to kids several times.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Methinks our Malf hath spotted a new manbag to purchase?

On going into the local gaming store when I were just a young deff dread, I'd pick out the blister packs that had the right combination of certain models in the range that I wanted, then take all the blisters off the hook and put that particular blister at the back before replacing them. Then come back in the next day to collect my sneaky prize.

I did this so often that eventually the ancient and nice chap who ran the shop came over one day, puffing on his pipe like some LotR wizard and sighed at me 'Y'know lad, you could always ask me to look after the blister pack you wanted for a couple of days'... I thought I'd truly 'arrived' at that point, whereas old John most likely wanted to stop the awful squeeking noise those blisters made when I was obsessive/compulsively rearranging them, especially the giantsized 'unit' blisters, if anyone else can remember those...

When I was a kid with GI Joe or Star Wars figures. I'd take the figure to the Women's clothing department and hide it under a bin or at the back of a rack. After I lost a "Rock n' Roll Machine Gunner" by hiding it in the Toy department, I knew I had to elevate my game.

Thats kind of what I do as well.
Some online shops (mostly clothing stuff) have limited time offers all the time. But you can only put stuff in your basket for 25 minutes and then itll be released back to public.
However, if you add another article, itll go back up to 25 mins. So when im not sure yet, or trying to hold something for someone, I keep checking all the time, adding items and kicking em right out the basket again lol Taxing job

Only once.

When I was a wee lad, I wanted some game guide or something. Seeing as it was the only copy left, I hid it underneath the shelf it was on.

Luckily, I was able to secure it only a day later.

That is the only time I have hidden something in a store because I wanted it.

lol.
