Arcantric Doctrine Acolyte
Few would dispute that Fiametta possesses a mastery of fire matched only by the most learned sages of the Arcantric Doctrine. Those who have are now little more than ash scattered on the wind. Displaying her affinity with primal aethyr at an early age, Fiametta proved a quick study and rapidly grew bored of the Codifiers’ dry and dusty lectures on the many doctrines to manipulate and channel aethyr. After the incineration of the 18th Doctrine’s hall of records and the singeing of Codifier Longfellow’s beard; the Codifiers recognized the futility of quelling Fiametta’s fervor. Instead they assigned her to the Relic Knight, Kisa, where her penchant for pyrotechnics has proven useful to the Doctrine's champion. Fiametta’s name and reputation have become known throughout the galaxy as she brings flame and ruin to any bold enough to stand in her way.

Looks like one to keep an eye on.

Not at all impressed with this one. Even for a line with obvious anime influences, this is over the top ridiculous.

For one, I'm not sure why she'd want her hair to be long enough to drag on the ground. That can't be sanitary...

Secondly, what the feth is up with her ankles? They look like prosthetic limbs. Did one of her pyrotechnic displays go awry and blow her feet off?

I think Sodapop needs to tone it down a little.

Fiametta was always very confident about her butt, thighs, hips and chest, but growing up she always felt her forearms "just didn't look right."

I'm ok with the ankles, it looks to me like it's just high-topped shoes that happen to be form-fitting to her thin ankles. Yes, she has extreme proportions, but so do the other Soda Pops. It's part of the style.

The ankles won't be that thin in the finished mini because there is a minimum size to flow metal into.

I'm missing the clear SF vibe of the other figures. It looks like a wizard from one of the mediaeval based Final Fantasy games.

We're OK with Witches, Anti-Grav Tech and the far-future setting, but we're worrying about hair length?

As noted, this is the "Soda Pop Style" - over the top anime is what they do...

I'm really loving the Soda Pop Minature line. A refreshing change from 'serious' wargammer stuff. When I'm next back on leave, I'll be buying the 2 currently available!

Hrm... not quite sold, though it might just be the color scheme. The hornet look isn't doing it for me.

Just as well, I am not quite done with Princess Mayla's paint job yet!

I'm not a fan of the feet, but it is just concept art. She certainly fits in with the other releases so far... Should look good in sculpt.

I didn't notice the feet/ankles at first due to the lack of color pop on those compared to the rest of the picture. With them being pointed out, and going back to look at it, yeah, they really do look like prosthetic legs.

I guess these might be fun to paint and collect, but I don't realy see a lot of point in these minis in general. Maybe if you are a realy big Yu-gi-oh fan or something, but I just can't see paying money for them. They are nice sculpts, none the less.
