Alright, if you have the money and don't have a bag from battlefoam yet, get one. They are expensive, yes, but they are usually only 15-30 dollars (USD) more than mother bags (like Sabol). IMO, there is no excuse to not get one.
You see how the tray fits in the bag PERFECTLY?!?!?! This means you don't have to worry about things bouncing around or falling out.
This is me holding the tray on one end in the air to show how sturdy the stuff is. Note that all of the models WERE in it at the time
Anyway, don't be skeptical about this. You shouldn't be.

I want to get something from them soon. I need to put my Monolith in something better than 2 plastic bags in a GW shopping bag. And they don't fit in the GW figure and army cases.

I got custom trays to hold my Monolith. Great stuff, however you really need 7 inches to protect the thing at its largest section, adn the battlefoam trays are only 6 inches deep. What I deep was to order another 1 inch tray, customized to get rid of the pyramidal section of the monolith shape, on top of the 6 inches tray. After it arrived at home I cut out the bottom foam, et voila, a special monolith tray!

My only qualms are the price of bags themselves and the rather limited option of using pre cut space.
The pro to Sabol trays is that you can decide how to best utilize the space provided.
If I played a more standardized sized army like space marines then Battlefoam is an easy choice as those models will always be the same size. Not so much when dealing with a lizardmen army, goblin army and dark elves army.
They do look like they are top quality though.

Yeah, BF is way too expensive. Dont get me wrong, its nice good quality stuff, but you're really not getting the most bang for your buck.
Sabol is cheaper, and its of "good enough" quality... its a transport system, not a fashion symbol or whatever.

Being skeptical just means using critical thinking, as opposed to gut reaction, to analyse something. As a general rule, if somebody tells you that you shouldn't thjink critically about what thye are saying, chances are they are conning you.
I'm not saying that YOU are conning us (in which case its the lamest con ever), its just doesn't make sense to tell someone that.

Not to rain on your parade, but that Wal-Mart thing is a piece of junk. I used to use one to store some clothes in. The wheels don't turn on any non-100% smooth surface and barley turn on a smooth one. Plus as soon as you grab it to bring it up stairs, etc. it will come apart. It did this empty, all 4 of them I've encountered. I agree that there are cheaper options out there, but definitely NOT Sterilite.

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity...... |

Im not going to spend 1000$+ on an army and then put it in a $20 wal mart case that is going to dump them into a parking lot. You get what you pay for and if you are just playing with an AoBR army or something a wal mart case is fine, but I like to have the best and battlefoam is definitely it.
I cant even look at sabol anymore, its not as space effecient and I dont want to pluck all that crap out.
Too expensive? Maybe for some individuals but I find it is worth every penny at the old prices, the new prices are just awesome.

I dont trust anything but my socks box.
Knowing how to pack properlyl with nice fluffy towel = as good as any foam transport can be , if not better. ( especially for very fragile models )

Sold out of army transports today, again. Popular item. Ordering another half dozen tomorrow, and another dozen of the various foam trays, and 3 more GW cases. And my big order from Outrider Hobbies is half gone, have to put in a re-order soon.
IMO, there is no excuse to not get one.
-They could just pick up the Sabol and GW cases and walk to the counter.
-They can get more trays for those cases just by stopping by their local store.
-They like the size of those cases.
-They like buying from their local store.
-They like spending less money.
But I will point out that those aren't really excuses not to buy battlefoam, they were reasons to buy Sabol or Games Workshop cases.

My FLGS carries Battlefoam (admittedly, no custom-cut trays along that route).
I'm waiting on the 720; I need a carryon-sized case, and I'd prefer one with greater structural integrity than my current Sabol case. Bonus points if the wheels actually are useful.
