CALICO KATE & SKULLY
Calico Kate is the most successful pirate to ever ply space. Striking from her base deep within the Star Nebula her band of corsairs are the scourge of the Guild and a ceaseless source of frustration for the paladin orders of the Six Peers. Swarming her targets with hordes of lightning fast ships bristling with weapons, she audaciously strikes at fleets far larger than her own. Favoring rapid assaults the swift fliers focus on hull breaches allowing Kate and her relic to lead destructive assault actions. She has become infamous for her tendency to take a ship’s crew hostage and then blow up their vessel. With the assistance of her cypher, Skully, she often augments the explosions in spectacular fashion to emphasize her ransom demands. Her most notorious pyrotechnics burn as bright as a small sun, a blazing challenge to any who would dare oppose her.

The pose seems really unnatural. Wouldn't all her body weight be on that one arm?

If your upper body does not hold the majority of your mass it is not a big deal. Also she is a woman, who for the vast majority, have a much lower center of gravity than men, even being well endowed. Finally, women's legs are typically their strongest assets. If she wants to straddle her relic with those thighs and hold on, nothing in the galaxy is going to stop her.

Yea, and from the look of it her knees are resting in little sockets/cups on the side of the saddle there.

Bloody AWESOME. This will be my next Soda Pop purchase, and will make a lovely nemesis for Princess Mayla! Soda Pop is definitely a company that exceeds my expectations when it comes to models. The needs to be released and in the mail to my house NOW

When I first saw it, the greaves confused me, as I wondered 'why are there two small things, a robot and a woman?', then it all made sense.

I really dig the piratey theme of this model, right down to the figureheads on her robot. YARRRR!

I am slowly harnessing my latent psychic powers and using them to direct the creative juices of many, many sculptors.

In an unrelated note, I also seem to have developed a purplish/pinkish tentacle coming out of my navel. It touches things... but I am certain there is no connection.

If there were in the FLGS I know I would have already gotten the first mech riding one, and would have to get one of these too.

This one would make a great piece to make into a Cryx pirate Warjack of some form.

What a fun miniature !!

Cate looks like she's having fun, too. After all, that saddle appears to be "ribbed for her pleasure" !!

The skinny thighs of the mech opposed to the massive shins seem off to me but that won't stop me from ordering it.

Needs more pirate hats, though
