Wow, very nice, those Trolls look brilliant! The vomiting one looks like a piece of art from one of the really old WFB campaigns, Dark Shadows was it? Years ago. Anyway very cool.

I'm going to find the sculptors responsible for the pumbagor and now these pumboarboyz and beat them to death with a special edition dvd of the Lion King.

I mean, come on, we're not living in the 80's comedy-model age any more...

On the upside the trolls look pretty sweet (if a bit fat). I'd have preferred stone trolls, mind, but that's just personal preference.

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

Wow, the ever so rare triple post. Nicely done Gabe lol

As for the models: I dont really care for the boars. I do see the similarity to Pumba, but I dont find it nearly as offensive as Calvin does.

The trolls are ACE tho!

T-T-T-Triple post!

I'm backing up the poster who said we should murder the boar-boyz sculptor. I'm all excited for more plastic, but those figures are hideous.

Wow, a triple post. Anyway, I'm going to sit this release out. Boars look horrible, and don't get me started on the Trolls. It is probably just personal preference, but I prefer the old ones.

EDIT: My bad. I thought those were replacing regular Trolls, but now I know they are River Trolls. Much Better!

Your powers are mighty, Lord Satan!

Yeah, on further examination, those trolls are nothing to write home about either. I'm really surprised they didn't go with something easier to model, like a stone troll.

Stupid feking GW.

Just when i convince my self to finish painting up my chaos, tyranid and imperial guard armies, they go and do this.

I have no problem at all with the Boars. They're fine. Seriously, what did you all expect? They are supposed to be wild pigs, and I think they made them look sufficiently mean. I really like the River Trolls, but the vomiting head is a bit much - can it be swapped out, I wonder?

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

I expected them to look at least as good as the old boar models. They did not pass.

If the pumboarboyz looked like wild pigs, that would be great and I'd love the models - but they look like pumba.

Hence the name.

I think they look great, and will be buying some boxes to convert into cyboars. They're so much more dynamic than the old ones.

Those Trolls are amazing. I may buy some and I don't even play Warhammer. Boar Boys are a bit meh.

What size bases are those Trolls on 40mm or 50mm?

I'm not entirely sold on those boars, although at least there's a nice sense of movement about them. The trolls are great however, nice and imaginative design.

Could you send it to me once you're done? I really want the movie, but I just can't find it anywhere.

I like both. I'm probably building a unit of Cyboars for my 40k Orks, once I figure out how I can attach big shootas and the Trolls are going in my 40k Nurgle Force.

my problem with the Boarz is that the heads don't like like pigs (or boars for that matter). I work every second weekend at a pig farm, so I should know. However I'm sure some Greenstuff would make them reasonable for me. But I don't even play OaG, so it doesn't matter.

They'd fit the 40k orcs sense of humor quite well imo, fantasy.. maybe not as much... (the armoured one does look great though).

Trolls are great , but those boars are still terrible, as bad as space marines riding a dire wolf.

The boars are... OK.

There is, sadly, a hint of Razorgoritis in them.

The one with its eyes closed is rather funny.

The Trolls?

They are a bit well fed, but nice enough I guess.

But, as someone already mentioned, I wish they would have gone with Stone Trolls!

The trolls are ace, but the boars are a bit close to Chaos Pumbas.

Thankfully, they lack the ridiculous eyes.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I love those Trolls the vomit is going to find a lot of use among Nurgle players. The boars are interesting. I like the armoured one, the unarmoured ones seem to be going down the same road as the Skaven; very stylised with not much detail. It's an interesting change compared to the old mounts that have been going for far too long. As with a lot of the recent models it really comes down to the painter. I have found that the GW paint schemes aren't that amazing lately and as with the models are very stylised. I'll wait to see the models in the 'flesh' before I pass jusgement. I hated the miotaurs until I saw the ones at my local GW which played down the large areas of pink skin. I dont like the way that the Eavy Metal team insist on overly shaded flat areas. It's as bad as the non metal metal technique that makes me want to scream almost as much as the now standard vehicle battle damage that they insist on painting on everything that has wheels in 40k. I really like the way John Blanche paints and he's a good example of what can be achieved with the new plastics.

Nice to see new takes on classic troops though.

I agree about the orcs riding pumba.

Riders good, boars are AWFUL. Really not what I wanted to see.

When did the cartoonish design team for World of Warcraft buy out the grimdark design team for Warhammer.

The trolls are good however.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

The trolls look ok to me - could have done with slightly longer legs, but otherwise they look pretty cool.

The boars - well, they are not horrible, but I think a good paint job will cover up the slightly cartoonish design.
