Hello fellow dakkanatics. I hope to run this blog as a dedicated posting of my various projects. I play High Elves, Daemons in both 40k and WFB, Tau, Nid's and Starting a Space Marine chapter at some point soon. I hope to get some effective C&C from readers so I can improve my skills. I tend to rotate through the projects, so If you see some sweet nid's don't expect some for a while. I also have been making some terrian lately.

This is my old TL Barbed Strangler Carnifex, It is going to be converted in to a Tryannofex. I have completed the conversion and painting, will post some pictures of it tonight, when I get home.

I just started working on a High Elf mage on Horse, and the following project will be the first 5 space marines. I'm making a chapter where I can use it in all the different lists, even though in the 2 small games I've played so far. I've only played as BA. I will either start with the DC or 5 regular marines.

This is the High Elf Mage, I am trying to work a new approach to gold, I like the metallic, but I think it's very strong so I've blended the burnished gold with some snakebite leather to make it less metallic. I plan on adding white to this mix for the highlights.

Bull spit you have more Blue Berries then 3000 pts. The Pic of the Pointy ear does not give the real feel of how it looks. The Soul Grider is not as loud as "Pinky"

My simple skills for elf hair base coat in desert yellow, wash with devlan miracle,then dry brush with bad moon yellow.

Going to varnish this tomorrow and post if the weather is cooperating, also starting marines now, so will decide what unit to paint first.

Been working on my Death Company, I have installed magnets so I can swap pack to either jump packs or when I get 15 toss them and a chappy in a Land Raider Crusader and drive them in deep.







I still have yet to varnish the elf, Humidity has been high and now that it has dropped, had my dad in town and having to work 3 long days at the job I can paint at. If weather holds up I will finish the elf by Tuesday.

The bases are what make your DC awesome or so-so. As they stand now very cool look!

Finally getting an update in here. I've been painting a lot but not taking pictures.



Mostly completed Swordmasters from Island of Blood. Need to varnish and then gloss the gems, I think that I could be waiting weeks for the humidity to drop.

I bought 3 different pinks at Michaels, I hope they turn out better than my last batch of horrors, those evil metal ones that always broke.



This guy here has like an old school cartoon face similar to some of the Jim Crow's from Dumbo.



Some of the pink is going to look very dusty with the palest coat on top, this picture doesn't do it justice, will take some more after tomorrow's painting session.

This is the WIP Changeling, I am pretty happy with him so far, I hope to tackle the metal shading and details tomorrow night.



Same plan for the rest of the horrors, I hope to get the shading done on the stones on their bases as well tomorrow.

For a Tournament I am attending you are supposed to bring a "Man of Intrigue" Well after a few random buys on ebay. I came up with parts and the inspiration for my Chaos Pimp.

Thanks, my whole chapter will be robed so it fits. Yeah, I am going to make like a ball of energy to fit in his left hand, maybe with a bit of cotton around it and write his name on the sarcophagus. I think I need to do a bit more work on the base, as well.

Libby dread long view. I am pretty sure he is done, however, I would like to add some weathering/battle damage, but have no clue where to start.

My Parasite of Mrotex is getting primed as well as the Reavers from the Island of Blood box, should have some WIP views this weekend.

I will take pictures tonight, the Parasite is looking decent, reavers are starting to come together. I will base and finish the etheral. Also I've been working on sculpting robes with GS on some marines. I've never done this before so it will be interesting.

The following items are projects I painted mid 90's when I was a teenager. I gave them to my dad as gifts, and he still has them in his office. When I visited him in April, I took some shots.









My next project is to start working on a Urban City for 40k, these are the start of two defensive positions. I am trying some new flock stuff Talus or what ever from woodland senics, but it's not adhering well to the plasticard using Elmer's at least. I'm going to pick up some of their spray tomorrow and try a 2nd coat.





And finally just finished my Death Company Dread. This was awesome fun, and I love how Brother Marcus turned out.

I should take newer pictures with him, I got some weathering powders and have gotten some nice dirtiness on the libby dread using a stippling brush. I will also look into some blister foam as well, I think that would work nicely.

Bloodthirster is coming along nicely. Like the red, and thanks for the comment about my Skulltaker. I just noticed it now. >_<
