I just came across this on GW's website...

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat440351a&rootCatGameStyle=

I know someone had mentioned some time ago about them being sold in GW hobby centers, but this is excellent as well.

Yes I did and yes it is, especially since that will be with free shipping as every book is well more than $15. For people who aren't near a GW store it's great news.

Glad to see that the first Badab book is up there, saves me the bother of ordering it through FW this Christmas and have them mess it up again.

Sad monkeys. I'm not seeing the Badab book up on the US site yet.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Oh well, this is a good thing if it make more people want to play/use Forgeworld units.

I never understood GW not carrying FW in the US. Way late, but a good first step. Now if they'd stock other FW items I'd have a reason to use their webstore or go to one of their shops.

I'm hoping that this is the first step in opening the flood gates. If they start carrying FW items on the main site, it will make it that much easier to get and I guarantee a mob of people, myself included will go ape gak crazy buying stuff.

Yeah, wouldn't it be great if you could order Forge World models through the GW website or at least in the order points in the GW stores? When the US Battle Bunkers stopped carrying FW models as regular stock a couple years ago that was a proposal made by one of the Bunker managers, that FW be accessible through GW in-store order points, but the idea got shot-down by higher management.

They've sold a heckuva lot more baneblades/variants now that the plastic kit came out, same with stompas. Why not make ALL happy and make a warhound kit for $100 ish?

Rather than making a lot more really huge models for Apocalypse in plastic the trend seems more be to take semi-large things that were Apocalypse only and make them part of the regular Codex with an accompanying plastic kit. The Valkyrie and Trygon are great examples of this and with some of the flyers/skimmers that newer books contain like the Void Raven and Stormraven the trend will likely continue. When those flyer-type models finally get kits they'll be huge sellers. Now they just need to come up with another bird species to use in their nomenclature other than the word, "raven".

Sure thunderhawks would be awesome, but only space marine players could use those. Warhounds could be accessible to every imperium player, and with a little work, for all chaos players! Also, both of these are in the apocalypse book, so no need to buy extras!

Same here... Badab's the only book I'm really looking to get right now, and having it in the US webstore or (better yet) in a local GW would be a guaranteed sale for GW.

Canadian and Aussie prices are really off the chart, much better off buying from forge world.

Well, if GW US keeps with Forgeworld's pricing scheme, it looks like IA Vol. 9 will run $74 US. Which, once you add in FW shipping costs, will be cheaper to buy through GW's site (that is, if they ever put it up.)

Yes, in case of the UK and NE sites for a few years now actually.

I'm sure they could make a bundle if they started selling FW through their main shops, FW don't do badly on their own given the relative smallness of their operation and demand is very high on some items. But of course it would require that FW step up production and ensure a greater consistency in quality. Now GW could invest in their FW arm to take advantage of this but they seem to have decided they'd rather not bother. Which is just odd IMO.

Thing is, if GW wants to sell FW through their on-line store, they'd have to take over production of said items because unlike FW, GW cares about the quality of what their machines crap out, plus they want you to have it as soon as possible. What would be ace is if they snatch up the ancient armour packs and do those instead of FW. Better quality, faster delivery time and if they somehow manage to screw up part of the order, you can mail them and they will help you ASAP. Bing-bada-bing, happy customers.

Yeah, because so many people besides Ork players can use Stompas.

Face it, if any single army deserves a super heavy, it's GW's cash cow. Besides, Chaos could use Thunderhawks too as they can use every single Imperial datasheet(so says the Apoc book, you just add the word "Traitor" to it).

If you think $91 is bad, a couple years ago when Forge World was charging $2 to the pound that book costs something like $110-$115.

And Space Marines could definitely use a main product line Super-heavy produced by GW. What a big seller that would be.

Wow, this is pretty cool, I have been wanting to get a IA book for a while, but getting it from forge would was always so expensive.

And also, what would you sugest to be the best IA book for a IG player to get of all of them? Seige of Vraks 1 looked good, but I would like your opinon on which is the best for IG.
