Full rules and model stats available on the official website:
http://www.puppet-wars.com/
Puppet Wars is a new game from Wyrd Miniatures. It is a game for 2-4 players which is played on a board with distinct spaces. It is a hex board with 91 total spaces. There will be miniatures and players assemble their puppet armies and...I guess...kill each other. Building your list is apparently an important aspect to the game and you can use almost any puppet in any list, although some will have better synergy than others. You need very few models to play the game, and they're cheaper than Malifaux. (although how many models and how much cheaper I do not know) Multiplayer is very much supported.
Fluff wise they're voodoo dolls that get up at night and fight with each other.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

Agreed. I choose not to be a part of facebook and by announcing stuff only on a closed network they're excluding me as a customer. Eh, I've got other things to spend my time and money on anyways. Besides, I just got out of an abusive relationship (with GW) and don't want to make the same mistake twice.

Good job on announcing this on Facebook, it's a great way to avoid a non neglect-able part of your customer base and only target people who like facebook.

Uh...it's a fan run facebook which posts information already posted on their forums or in podcasts (with the exception of, I think, two pictures).
So, yeah. So much for wyrd only appealing to people who have facebook. Although they don't have any announcements about puppet wars in their news section (which is, admittedly, odd) they do have an entire section of their forum devoted to it. Oh, COME ON. He was focused on his primary goal: sharing information on a new game and some cool photos with the Dakka community. He really shouldn't be expected to anticipate and counter anti-Facebook sentiment in the original post.

Puppet Wars website is now live. Just got this in my email :
Puppet Wars is a game for 2 to 4 players. The game box contains enough Puppets for 2 players. Additional Puppets and Puppet Decks are sold separately.
Over the course of the game, you construct an army of animated Puppets by making use of Work Benches scattered around the board.
Puppets are small-minded creatures. They resemble their living counterparts but only have a slight memory of how to function once they become animated, and sometimes they are confused about their roles. But watch out! They’re vicious when organized into an army!
Puppet Wars lets you command a Puppet Army. Your goal is to destroy the competition and protect your Master, while retaining control of those valuable Work Benches. If ever your Master is killed, or you lose control of all your Work Benches, you’ve lost… game over, no more fun.
More details can be found here. http://www.puppet-wars.com/index.html

Box of 8 puppets at 32 dollars = 4 dollars per model. Pretty much the cheapest metal minis you're gonna find.
Average Malifaux model = 8 dollars
And you can use them in Malifaux. If you get a puppet wars punk zombie, you can use it as a malifaux punk zombie, etc.

Meh. Not really interested in games that don't know whether they are a miniature game or a board game.
also: the use of the term "booster" brings back memories of the "collectible" games. I thought we took that concept out back and shot it in the head?
