Being dead only seems to have made him angry. He's still carrying Tritus by the looks of things.

I agree with regards to Baldur, as it's all oversized spatulate weapons with glowy effects on a 'HURR--dramatic smash!' dude, but I think the Nihilator warlock holds true to Skorne artwork thus far and he doesn't have any strangely glowing weaponry beyond the arcane feat-runes that by now is characteristic of PP artwork.

Does anyone else think that Baldur's sword looks like the designers were debating what weapon to give him and this was the resulting discussion:

PP Designer 1 - Okay, we need to give him a bigger, better weapon than before.
PP Designer 2 - What about a hammer? I just saw Thor yesterday and Mjolnir -rocked-.
PP Designer 1 - Ehh, it's not EPIC enough. This needs to be epic. This is Epic Baldur. He needs an epic sword! But you're right, Thor's hammer was pretty awesome.
PP Designer 2 - Hey, what if we use Thor's Hammer, but we just have a great huge, honkin' blade coming out of the top of it? It'd be the best of both worlds - a badass hammer, and an epic sword! Win-win!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

It's identical to his Primal weapon.

Huh, I thought Baldur was dead. Oh well, at least there's still Lich Lord Kharchev.

And Damn PP for putting out a Nihilator warlock! I won't go back to Skorne I won't!

It happens rarely, but they CAN resurrect people in the Iron Kingdoms.

He wasn't totally dead. Megalith was keeping him alive.

Generally, ressurection magic in the Iron Kingdoms is bad mojo. Baldur was being kept alive by megalith, which is lucky for him. In the D20 rules, being brought back from death had all sorts of horrible side effects, and a pretty hazy chance of working.

I like that. They should add horrible side effects to Resurrection in DnD.

There was all sorts of bad stuff, like coming back with an alignment shift, or withered and aged, or stinking of death, or minus your soul!
Also, healing magic had downsides. Too much healing in one day would make your flesh rebel.
Cool ideas, but not implemented particularly well, mechanically.

I think my favorite was the version(I think it's Rebirth?) used by Trollkin where you could come back as an entirely different race!

Now, that one -was- reflected in AD&D - Reincarnation, I think it was called?

Yep. IKRPG just used the Reincarnation spell with an altered table due to Immorens wildly different wildlife.

Yes, that's it. However, it also had its downsides(the least of which was that half the races on the chart had ECLs to take into effect).
