Subject: Typhus, Ahriman, Lucius & Kharn... fight?
|
 |
Fleshound of Khorne
|
Hello
Just wondering how much contact, if any, these guys have with each other post Heresy. Maybe they might work together under Abaddon during the black crusades, or are they too much at war with each other to ever get along?
Also which do you think would win in a fight? Fatal 4-way style.
I'm thinking it would come down to whether Lucius could best Kharn in combat, because if not then Kharn should be able to beat Typhus and Ahriman, what with him being immune to psychic powers and all. Maybe I'm biased towards Khorne though...
The fight is on the proviso of no interference from their Gods ie. bringing their champion back to life etc.
Interested to know Dakka's thoughts...

Ahriman has Gift of Chaos and a 4++ to help him against his fellow champs, not to mention a force weapon for instant death goodness. Typhus has spells and a force weapon as well, making him a good contender. Of course, Kharne ignores this with Blessing of the Blood God and hits on a 2+. Lucius is SOL, his only benefit benefit being Initiative, along with Doom Siren. Slaanesh is the weakest Chaos God, so this only makes sense. I think everybody's take on this will garner new results, based on their favorite god.
So why not put the four in close combat and fight in initiative order? I don't have dice with me and I'm at work, so I can't do this until I get home.

Either Typhus or Ahriman, Typhus will kill Karn with a disease and Ahriman will zap Lucius with some magic.

And then turn into Lucius. Automatically Appended Next Post: That said, Kharn will win. The blessings of the Skull God are on him, immune to disease and the paltry magics that Ahriman can conjure, pure of mind and without and sense of satisfaction, Lucius will die once and for all.

Kharn is the only person who could Lucius as he's too much of a mad killer to feel any satisfaction from it. In my opinion Kharn would win as he's immune to psychic powers and a monster in close combat.

Background wise, and not taking stats into account, Lucius would win because everytime he is killed; the killer becomes Lucius inescappably.

Not proven. The killer has to feel satisfaction in killing Lucius. by that way of reasoning, Kharn, being a mindless killer likely wouldn't, neither would a random guy manning a piece of artillery or firing an orbital bombardment cannon.

Yeah its never been proved that its inescapable when killing Lucius.
Kharn may well feel satisfaction though, for spilling the blood of a worthy opponent maybe.

Kharn probably would feel satisfaction, IMO, for killing a strong opponent and giving the Blood God a worthy skull.
A question: Is Kharn literally immune to all psykers? Period? Not in game terms, but in fluff terms?

He has the blessings of Khorne, I'd say there's a fairly good chance considering immunity to psyker powers and sorcery is something Khorne gives to his champions, I believe its a Collar of Khorne.

It honestly sounds like a no-limits fallacy to me.
What about Magnus? He could not harm Kharn either with his sorcery?

What does the fluff has to say about that, though? I cannot recall any fluff of Blessings of the Blood God, can you point me to where I could perhaps find some?

Theres a few examples of Khorne followers being immune to Psychic powers (the 3rd Ultra Novel for example, off the top of my head), it wouldnt necessarily have a name though....they only made that up for the rule

On another note, I've got a sneaking suspicion that if Kharne did start to turn into Lucian, Khorne himself might personally get involved and "undo" Slaanesh's attempt to steal one of Khorne's most devoted and productive mortal followers.

I feel like a powerful enough psyker would be able to affect Kharn, though not very strongly unless they were EXTREMELY powerful. Kharn would probably win in any case.

I doubt it. A sufficiently powerful Psyker should be able to affect or even kill him with Psychic powers. However, they'll likely have to be able to pour in more power than Khorne is willing (or able) to protect Kharn with; i.e. a lot.

Finally someone who agrees with me. The way some people around here talk, you'd expect Lucius to simply wanderr onto Cadia and wipe out the entire defence.

I think that if a sevitor killed lucy with some massive indirect fire shell that would be the end of him.

I'd have to say Kharn, just due to hismonstrous close combat abilities and immunity to psychic powers.

Nobody would win. Here's the chain of combat:
Typhus kills(via contagion) Kharn who kills(via Axe) Ahriman who kills(via magic) Lucius who kills(via sword) Typhus.

If Typhus kills Kucius with a disease, does it still count as typhus kill? That could work as loophole for Lucius' curse.

Lucius' immortality hints to the fact that Slaanesh likes him so much that s/he'll simply create a new body for him in the unlikely even he's ever killed off for good.
Also, Lucius is supposedly one of the best swordsmen in the 40k universe.

And also that his 'trick' of taking over your body is based on feeling any emotion at all about killing him, regret included.

I do wonder if Lucius's "trick" would work on someone with the blessing of the blood god..
That said if Typhus loses, everyone would still probably die from a huge variety of icky diseases - The destroyer virus was capable of even infecting a Primarch right?
