Mantic's Name A Forge Father Biker Unit Contest!

Mantic has successfully run it’s naming competition several times before – the vampiric Soul Reaver knights, Abyssal Dwarf Decimators and the Dwarf Ironwatch are all examples of where the community got it right and gave us a brilliant name. Well, we’ve taken our naming competition to the next level with Warpath.

We’ve got a fantastic prize up for grabs in the form of a squad of five resin Forge Father Heavy Troopers (see the concept sketches below of what the Heavy Troopers will look like). These resin figures are masters of the original sculpts that are being turned into Plastic Resin and are absolutely gorgeous… though you will have to wait a little longer to see them!

One of the more different units in the Forge Father Army List is the Hel Valkyrs – Forge Father outriders on bikes. Whereas once these bikes would be used to scour around and scout out digs, in times of war they are used to outflank and outmaneuver the enemy.

Hel Valkyrs is a cool name that brings with it the connotations of bikers, but we think there’s a better name out there, and we think you can give it to us. So, what we want you to do is come up with a load of names and put them down inthis thread before the 15th August. We’ll then pick the best, and one of you lucky people will bag yourself the first Forge Father figures!

To get your creative juices flowing, we've attached a few concept sketches below of the Forge Fathers. The models pictured are the Heavy Troopers, but sadly we don't have a sketch of the Hel Valkyrs available just yet, so you'll have to use your imaginations!

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

1) To make your entry, just post it right into this very thread (make sure you're suggesting a name for a biker unit and NOT the heavy troopers pictures above). Its just that easy! You can even make as many entries as you'd like. Not a current member of Dakka? No problem, just click on the Join Us! link at the top of the page and you can become a member in just a couple easy steps.


2) You can keep posting as many submissions as you'd like in this thread until 11:59pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) on August 14th.

WARNING: If you edit one of your entry posts in this thread, all entries in that post will count as having been submitted at the date/time of your most recent edit (meaning if someone posted the same thing as you 3 pages later but you edit your post after that, they'll count as having submitted the entry before you). So the moral of the story is: Don't edit your posts in this thread, just add another post later in the thread if you think of another entry!


3) The winner will be picked by Mantic Games and will be announced here on Dakka* shortly after the contest ends August 15th (it may take a day or two to sort through all the last entires).
