Supposedly the August issue of White Dwarf is on shelves but I've been to 3 stores and no one has it. Two stores say that their distributor didn't send them any. If anyone has it would you be kind enough to post the new Sisters of Battle 'codex' info that'd be awesome

Wd is certainly out; even the subscriptions have arrived and they are being sent out late these days. Sadly.

GW US has WD #280 as "No Longer Available". I'm not going to get an answer until Monday(I want those dang Terrorgeist rules)--but I'm trying to figure out why. My LGSes do not have it either.

I picked up a copy at my FLGS, which is not a GW store.

I know at my FLGS, this is the first WD to sell out in years. And it sold out by Tuesday.

My local gaming store put them on the shelf during a 40k tourney, and promptly sold out and had people trying to order more but according to his distributor there is no more and no more are being printed

GW marketing strategy, actually working? I havent been to my stores yet so I dont know

Games Workshop will have noted how quickly this edition has sold out. An army they previously believed lacked grass-roots support and must have considered 'squatting' from time to time, despite its popularity in written fiction, finally gets its first update in years and - for the first time in years - the magazine flies off shelves!

Apologies - it seems I accidentally stumbled into a civil war. My light-hearted and ironic jape regarding the Sisters of Battle being overlooked in favour of Vampire Counts wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

Sold out is quite relative. Quite a few stores will have a stack on their shelves. I doubled my order since I figured more people would want it because of the sisters codex.

This is GWs strategy to control information on new releases. Only show new models in White Dwarf and only print five copies of the magazine.

1.) Today is the first official release day for WD in GW stores and selected FLGS.
2.) Newspaper stores will get it next week, as will subscribers.
3.) Indeed the US GW website lists the current WD as no longer available. So either go to a newspaper store next week or order the British issue (British English is not that different fro US English )
