I can't believe I witnessed this at my Local Gamesworkshop;

this is what happened

I saw these guys, one of them had a baneblade. They were regular friends messing around and stuff and as a prank they put a bunch of erasers in one of their other friend's stormraven while he was away; of course nothing happened to the stormraven as they were erasers and the guy got a good laugh out of it. Someone decided at first put an eraser in the baneblade's main cannon. The baneblade's owner(who was a high school senior getting ready to attend a prestigious college and preparing for ROTC) didn't really cared at first but he didn't want anybody to be touching his baneblade. Then one of his other friends(who was a grown man, a bit obese) came in and joined in and without telling the guy, he tried to get the eraser out of the baneblade's main cannon and the baneblade's owner came to him and though that his friend was further vandalizing it and kind of shoved him away from it. The fat guy was angry because he felt that his help was not appreciated and stuffed the eraser down the baneblade's cannon even further.

Of course the kid got angry both of them started arguing. The fat guy was saying the kid was an incompetent donkey-cave while the kid told the fat guy that he is going to college and will make 6 figures while the fat guy continues his blue collar life. The argument didn't really sound like an argument as it sounded like both parties were kind of enjoying it and were joking around.

But here is the main problem: The kid decided to get some soda at a nearby store and he was away for a little while while the fat guy who was offended decided to teach the kid a lesson by pouring some of his capri sun on the kid's baneblade. The fat guy offered to help clean up the mess after the kid came back telling him that its lesson for being a dick but the kid was REALLY PISSED OFF

and nearly started a fight(on his way out he threw a bunch of stuff at the fat guy)

The GW employee later kind of intervened after the whole drama warning the fat guy not to vandalize like that and he does not want see anybody leave the store angry. He also told us that if we see any deucebags in the store, come tell him if they cause too much of a problem...

So any thoughts on this?

Who was really at fault here?

Edit: I actually misinterpreted the blue collar thing, he didn't really say "blue collar"(I thought blue collar usually referred to jobs that doesn't require a college education so I just used that term), but he commented on how the guy is doomed to make much less then the kid after the kid is done with college and nrotc.

I think both should be executed, publicly, in the parking lot of the FLGS, via either dismemberment by chainsword or flamer.

The only thing I pulled away from this is that kid has lofty ambitions given his lack of tact and the current job market for recent college grads.

Who cares? The fact that the guy was drinking Capri Sun while playing with models is the best part. It's like a Will Farrell skit on Saturday Night Live. I approve

Everyone involved is a cat. Simple the kid who owned the baneblade could has solved the problem by simply standing up for himself.

The older guy should know better then to pull such stupid childish pranks but after the younger kid had just explained to him that he was a looser for being a blue collar worker he should have taken the kid outside for a quick tap and slap and left it at that.

All in all just another example of my fellow nerds being cowards.

Its not like everyone has to be "hard" they just gotta stop letting folks push them around it makes me sick.

Damn I cant wait to the GW legal team codex comes out now there is a dex that will conquer all.

The kid overreacted and his comment about blue collar workers....he should visit a mining city where the blue collars earn a bucket load and and are more intelligent that the paper pushers.... (sorry, that touches a nerve) but to actually vandalise someone else's model is inexcusable.

His attitude about blue collar workers makes me think he's not going to go far in ROTC, which is the newest way to move into a six figure income I've heard.

I have a feeling that when the kid made the comment about the blue collar workers, he was just reaching for something to hurt the other guy's feelings. There are times when we all have said something hurtful that we didn't mean because we wished to lash out at somebody who wronged us. I don't know the kid in question, but almost anything he could have said or did to the guys who messed with his baneblade is okay in my book. You just shouldn't mess with somebody's model.

The kid probably overreacted to the Eraser in the baneblade cannon(which shouldn't have happened in the first place), but what the fat guy did was inexcusable.

Sugary liquid is a to clean off models(I know, I once spilled grape juice on some models. Thank goodness they were only basecoated and not painted yet. It was a pain to clean that) especially ones the size of a baneblade that won't fit in your sink. Thats going to need a bath.
