Who's your favourite doctor from the British sci-fi television series known as "Doctor Who". Mine's David Tennant mainly because the only other doctor I've watched is Christopher Eccleston, although I do hope to
eventually see all the Doctors so I can decide on my favourite depiction of the character with a fairer basis.

I can't decide between Tennant or Smith; I mean, they're both good, although Smith suffers from poorer scripts than Tennant, but I think Matt is the hottest of the two and i'd probably do him over Tennant given the chance...
Difficult decision, very difficult...

Matt Smith's funny moments are better but Tennant is better overall and his funny moments are still pretty damn entertaining.

is the closest emoticon I can see to something like this:
The 'Mmmmm...' is a reference to being yummy.

I never got why people started using phrases that are meant for describing food when they talk about people they're attracted to.
FITZZ wrote: Tom Baker is the only Dr. Who I ever bothered to watch, other that when Peter Cushing played the part in an older film.
I haven't watched Dr. Who in any incarnation, but if Peter Cushing ever played the part, then he is automatically the best Doctor.
Don't say that over at the Doctor Who based fan boards.. it'll get bloody it will. Hehe.
To be fair, I do like the two Cushing movies, but there is some pretty vehement opposition to him be classified as a Doctor from some quarters.
..I wasn't aware that Cushing was disliked in the role..learn something new every day...
@ RatBot...If you want to check out the two Cushing films, they're called " Dr Who and the Daleks" and " Dalek Invasion Earth :2150 AD"..

It's mainly because he's Human, and he invented the Tardis as noted in the first film.
Like I said, I don't have any issues, but you put him in a poll like this on certain boards and the poor thread will die a flaming death as a inferno of nerd rage rises.
On a side note, I really need to check if they've brought out the Hammer Horror collection on Blu ray yet. edit - sadly no, still waiting, after the improvement to Zulu, I'd love to see some of the Hammer classics in HD.

Really, Peter Cushing could've played the Doctor in a commercial for "Dr. Who-Os Frosted Fruit Cereal" and he'd still be the best Doctor.
I base this on the fact that Peter Cushing is made of 100% pure win.
I may have that same DVD, four of the Cushing/Lee " Dracula" films?...Great stuff. And ..personally I thought Cushing made a great Dr. Who...but of course...I'm an American with limited exposure to the overall genre.

Ah, I've got one collection with four of the Cushing/ Lee " Dracula" films and the two Frankenstein films on seperate DVD's...along with god alone knows how many other Hammer DVDs.. My personal " Horror vault" is ...a sight to behold. Oddly enough...No Dr. Who.

I've never really understood the appeal of Dr. Who. Crappy sci-fi imo.

Meh, I've watched two films ( as I enjoy B- Movies) and perhaps a dozen episodes back in the 80's...Dr. Who was never " my thing"...
Of course...I've never understood the appeal of Dr. Phil either...the man just seems devoid of even the slightest bit of testosterone ...of course..perhaps that is his appeal.

I chose David Tennant as he amused me when he guested on Mr. Fry's stellar show of interestingness and drollity.
On the subject of Peter Cushing:
We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".
