Hello DakkaDakka!

Recently, hordes of space undead have been rising from their graves and clawing their way onto local gaming tables! We have noticed that many of these forces come with a host of rules and abilities-- some of which require a bit of bookkeeping. We at Genius Factory Games have come up with some new counters/tokens that both help keep track of these effects and look good on the battlefield! We have several different sets of counters available at this time:

Numbered Counters-- This set contains thirteen numbered counters and can be used to represent both fallen models waiting to return to the field and points of armor drained from the enemy by your forces.

Specialist Counters-- This set contains eleven counters with images that are designed to represent the effects of specialist units and characters.

Character Counters-- This set contains eight counters, including both wound markers for characters and counters to represent fallen characters of different types waiting to return to the battlefield.

Large and Small Shield Counter Sets-- These counters, available both in a large set of ten and a smaller set of four, are intended to keep track of deflector shields on your vehicles-- each set is split into two, with half the tokens representing "shields up" and half representing "shields down."

Cyber-Beetle Swarm counters--- These 40mm counters are ideal for representing newly spawned hordes of killer cybernetic insects, and are available in increments of 5, 10, or 30.

Primary Mission Counters.

These 40mm counters provide an aesthetically pleasing way to keep track of mission objectives of varying values on the battlefield. Note that the backs of these counters are completely opaque, making them ideal for use in missions where the value of mission objectives is not immediately known!

Next, we (fittingly) have Secondary Mission Counters!

These 40mm counters provide an æsthetically pleasing way to keep track of secondary mission objectives. Each set contains five counters-- two "Breakthrough" counters, two "Leader Slain" counters, and one "First Kill" counter.

Finally, we have Structural Integrity Counters!

These 28mm counters are ideal for representing the structural integrity of vehicle hulls or other "hard targets" on the field of battle. They are available in two sets: one set of seven counters (containing one four-point counter, two three-point counters, two two-point counters, and two one-point counters), and one set of five counters (containing one three-point counter, two two-point counters, and two one-point counters).

For those who are interested in both primary and secondary mission counters, we at Genius Factory also offer a "Mission Counter Combo Deal" which contains both the primary and secondary objective counters in one convenient (and discounted!) package.

All counters are laser-cut.

To order, check out our webstore at this address, or click on the names or pictures of any of the products above to be taken directly to their product page on our site.

We welcome all questions, comments, and criticisms that you might have, either posted on these forums or emailed to support@geniusfactorygames.com. Genius Factory is very much a "by gamers, for gamers" company and we would love to hear your feedback on our products and designs!

Thanks,
The Genius Factory Games team

These look like excellent accessories for players of space metalloid skeleton warriors.

You should think about doing designator illumination tokens for space alien federation forces.

Is each set going to be sold separately or do you have any plans for bundles?

They look very nice, I have to say this isn't something I wouldn't have thought of buying before but for their look I would consider it depending on pricing.

Nice looking stuff but I'm unsure which army I might use it with.

Maybe the Robot Skeletons from the old Hot Lead game?

I was thinking more Cryx from Warmachine.

But anyway, if I see anyone with an army that might fit these () I'll be sure to tell them.

I agree, all 3rd party stuff should be banned so we can go back to continuing to wait for GW to make stuff that it will never make.

So exactly what army are these meant for?

Is this for something new that the OP is making?

Yes. Space Robot Skeletons that are also possibly Undead. You might be able to use them for other games or armies as well if you get creative.

So they exist strictly because of someone elses IP?

there is no deeper question then "why do we exist?" Except maybe "Why do those alien skeleton robot tokens exist?"

Thanks for your support! Our counters aren't designed for use as shields on actual physical models. Obviously, you can do whatever you want with our products, but they're designed for use as tokens/counters (gameplay aids) rather than conversion kits (modeling supplies), and we can't guarantee that they will work for converting existing kits from other ranges.

Stay tuned! We should have some pictures of our counters in use shortly-- they'll be both posted here and added to our web gallery.

Why not just just use these space undead tokens for your blood angels?

The blood angels and the space undead both belong to the same army, so there's no problems there.

Are you trying to say the tokens swing both ways?

I like these, but I definitely see room for improvement. Your "Numbered Counters" set could do with a bit of a revamp.

Not many Automatronic Skeleton players are going to need counters numbered this high. While I know you're in this to make money, you should think about them, to a degree. By the time they lose 13 of their skeletons, they aren't likey to "be back."
They don't need one set that has a huge number. They need multiple, smaller sets.

IMO, a better set would be to have 2 sets numbered 1-4 and one numbered 1-5, if you want to keep going sets of 13.
What made you chose 13 as a stopping point? I'd think that the optimum selection would be 2 sets numbered 1-6 or 3 numbered 1-4 or 1-5 per purchase. Obciously, 3 @ 1-5 sould cost a little more than the current set (15 counters vs. 13), but it would be a better purchase as most players will not likely use counters above 7 or 8 very often.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks for your suggestions, Eric! We are definitely considering alternative ways of packaging these counters-- but keep in mind that they are not only designed for use as casualty markers, but also to mark other effects, such as "armor drain" abilities. The larger numbers can also come in handy for those of us who like using big units on the battlefield.

In other news, we should have some pictures of our counters in use either tonight or early tomorrow. The gallery page on our website is still under construction, but we'll post the pictures directly to this thread as soon as we have them. In the meantime, keep posting feedback if you have it-- the comments here have been very useful to us!
