Belgium isn't a bastion of political stability. There are a lot of big rifts there that could produce people like that.

Plus, there are hard-line right wingers (similar to that guy in Norway) in that country that have not shied away from violent rhetoric against Muslims in the past. However, I'm not aware of any actual violent incidents from that side of things before.

I am interested to see the story develop and learn more about the situation.

Interesting that it was the Karachi Times that knew details about this attack first. There may have been information available, not to the Karachi Times necessarily, before the attack took place.

Is the attack being perpetrated by foreigners or Belgian citizens?

Recent news says two boys killed (15 and 17) as well as someone older. The guy seems to have shot himself in the head after throwing selfmade explosives and shooting around with an AK. Around 75 wounded.
