The BBC wrote:A gun and grenade attack in the centre of the Belgian city of Liege has killed at least two people and wounded about 25, Belgian media say.

They say several men threw grenades and fired on a crowd at a bus stop in Place Saint Lambert, a busy square.

Some reports say one of the attackers is among the dead. Local media said another had been seized by police but gunfire was continuing.

The area has been sealed off. There is no word on who carried out the attack.

What has the world come to?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

They take their beer wars seriously in Belgium.

Maybe its a terrorist attack.

Yes. That plus there are reports one attacker was killed or died. May have been a homicide bomber. However, Beligum is not exactly a lightning rod of antiIslamic focus. DId I miss something?

Maybe its the beer wars after all.

Belgium isn't a bastion of political stability. There are a lot of big rifts there that could produce people like that.

Really? Whats the deal - aka more info please.
My knowledge of Belgium is:
* good place for a movie about British mobsters
* waffles that probably really aren't from there
* good place to parachute into if you hate Nazis and have 45,000 friends with 30-06s.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Apparently its a political reaction to the sentencing of Islamic murderers involved in an 'honour killing'.

Belgium may have political stability but it has Islamics too, and enough of them will suffer anyone to live under no cultural system but their own dismally low standards.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Multiculturalism at its finest (if true).

How come the bomb vesters never meet up with the far right shooters, and have a rumble behind the school West Side Story style?

Evidently there is a Pakistan paper claiming it is indeed revenge for the honor killing trial.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/belgium/8953449/Belgium-grenade-attack-leaves-at-least-two-dead.html

So, if we're following that logic does it mean that Belgium can now do the same in the middle of Pakistan in revenge for the revenge for the honor killing trial?

Plus, there are hard-line right wingers (similar to that guy in Norway) in that country that have not shied away from violent rhetoric against Muslims in the past. However, I'm not aware of any actual violent incidents from that side of things before.

I am interested to see the story develop and learn more about the situation.

Interesting that it was the Karachi Times that knew details about this attack first. There may have been information available, not to the Karachi Times necessarily, before the attack took place.

Is the attack being perpetrated by foreigners or Belgian citizens?

No. Times have always been "bad". 70 years ago this incident would of been caused by a plane bombing something.

BBC says the guy was alone and recently released from jail (which he was in for possession of firearms). He also apparently killed himself with a grenade.

Not me. I hope I get to see something like this in my city so I get to kick some ass and get on TV again.

Flik-flak, dragonpunch, commando death grip, then its talkshows and tea and stickies with the Queen.

Huzzah!

Ah a happy ending at least then eh? Also, I think most of the wounded are alright, you have to look on the bright side and say that 4 is feth all for a bloke going nuts with an arsenal in Belgium.

I hope you are correct, when it turned out to be a Norwegian bloke last time I was terribly disappointed.

Ah thats just typical American overkill.. Surely one firearm and loads more ammunition is better than taking two guns?

I two believe a matched pair is most efficient.

Recent news says two boys killed (15 and 17) as well as someone older. The guy seems to have shot himself in the head after throwing selfmade explosives and shooting around with an AK. Around 75 wounded.
