#1. What I mean by a major events are 2 day events (5+ rounds usually) and some well known and established 1-day events that draw 50+.

How many has to be in it to count as a grand tournament? AS In Townsville we have 4 tournaments a year that have over 50 players in each. WE just had one this weekend. THey are on the ww40k website and it is tropicarange

I've stickied the thread (thanks for doing this!).

You may want to specify at the top of your post exactly what you mean by 'major events' so that people don't waste their time posting events for you that don't fit your criteria.

And you may want to remove 'Grand Tournament' from the top of your post, as that's really a GW-centric term, and I'm sure there will be some non-GW events posted here.

I changed it from Grand Tournaments to Major Tournaments.

I think most people use the term RTT for a one day event of 3-4 rounds and grand tournaments for 2 day events for 5+ rounds. Even though GW does not put on their grant tournaments or support rogue traitor tournaments anymore, the names seem to have stuck.

Or maybe I am the only one who calls them that because I am old.

This weekend I will add all of the upcoming events that are being held in the next 3 months, and some of the others farther out.

You have Colonial in March listed as a Fantasy event, they actually have a Fantasy GT and 40k GT, as well as warmahordes (not sure on size of warmahordes as I'm not familiar with the game system, I think it's a friday night event)

I don't see anything scheduled for slaughter in space this year on their website or anywhere else. Is there going to be one this year?

I talked to Phazel/Q at the Bash and they are going to have it. They will put the information ups shortly when they finalize their plans.

Not to split hairs, but they are both (Fantasy and 40k) billed as GT's. It was of a larger size last year (this is year 2 for 40k) but was cramped in size this year due to a venue snafu. Getting the word out on threads like this will help spread the word/info for people who want to pencil on calendars for future years when there's more room to expand it, which as I understand is the intention of the Colonial.

Could we get any Info on some Australian Tournaments?

Beakycon in early october

You're missing all the Astronomi-con's, they run four two day tournaments in the style of the original grand tournaments so some soft scores etc.

Toronto is next June 23rd and 24th. I think it is sold out. Winnipeg is complete and Dallas are complete. Vancouver they are still finalizing the venue and weekend, but late summer just before University starts historically...

Is The WarStore Weekend / Mechanicon going to be in PA, as listed here? That would be really great, as it's closer to me... for some reason I'd assumed that their merging would mean the event would be in NY rather than PA.
