Just to know the general desire of the players, which army, if you could choose, should receive next a new codex (and figures maybe). Note : this doesn't concern the rumours about release schedules and upcoming products, I just want to know what people would like. Also, the poll options only concern the codex of 4th ed (I think we have all seen enough of the 5th ed). Oh, and I also included many choices option (I know how it can be hard to choose only one option sometime).

Chaos. They haven't had a good codex since the 3.5 edition, and before that, 2nd edition. For the 'big bad' of the game universe, that's terrible. They have such huge scope for making a big, chunky, fluffy codex, and GW just pisses it away.

Tau need one, but Chaos deserves one.

I agree with this.

Also, obvisously the Tau. They have one unit that shoots (Fire Warriors), and another that runs out into combat gets killed (Kroot). Their overspecialized, and if they'll left behind, they'll be less playable than they already are.

Tau.

I really hope Chaos Daemons and Chaos Marines get an entirely new design philosophy applied to their codices. I would like to see a codex for Nurgle that included Daemons, Chaos Legion, Renegade Marines, cultists, mercenaries. And then one for Khorne, one for Tzeentch, etc

That adds three codexes though, which means you'd have even more trouble with codices getting left behind.

Also, multi-god lists would be impossible.

Um... SoB.

I don't even play them, but are not they really the army that would logically be most in need of one, being as they don't actually even have one yet but are still a 40k army?

Would've been interesting to see how many votes they'd have had...

Don't need it as bad as the Tau.

Eldar can still kick a WHOLE LOT of ass when used correctly, and Eldrad/council are both very powerful.

So Tau are next?

Hmmm... I thought Dark Angels were next, followed by Eldar, followed by 6th Ed.

We've had nothing concrete soooo....

There have been so many tau rumours, telling true from false is not even slightly possible.

Chaos Space Marines deserve it the best, though the Eldar and the Orks tie for second IMO...Tau, not so much.

And I also want to see Codex: Blood Ravens with their own special characters, and the mystery behind their origins cleaned up (Thousand Sons Legion Fourth Fellowship FTW):
1) Chapter Master Gabriel Angelos
2) Captain Apollo Diomedes
3) Venerable Dreadnought Davian Thule
And so on...

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

Why would you want the Tau to have a new Codex if you hate them ( although I share that sentiment)?

Fair enough.

As much as I dislike the Tau, seeing them disappear would be quite disappointing...better way for GW to troll Tau players/fans would be to completely 'grimdark' the Tau - such as admitting they mind control the Vespid, brainwash/re-educate Humans, use sub-liminal messaging for Ethereals to control non-Ethereal Tau, etc.

Lost in a blizzard, somewhere near Toronto

Chaos Marines, Dark Angels, Chaos Daemons in that order would be my dream come true.

Chaos Marines are boring as gak right now... Stripped to the bare bones, no flavour at all, all the special characters aside from one or two are utter crap, most of the codex is horrifically over-costed, no psychic defense at all, crappy psychic powers (and the few good ones keep getting smote with the nerfbat), outright useless units (*cough*spawnandraptors*cough*), units outright forgetting which god they pray to because a guy with a flagstick dies...
All this from the dudes who have been built up as the greatest threat to the Imperium of Mankind!

Dark Angels suffer from the same problems as the spiky marines - their codex is overly simplistic to the point it's beyond bland, half the book is ludicrously over-costed and it just need options in general. (plus, it would be nice for DA players to finally get access to the newer toys like the redeemer!)
DA's need their idenity back more than anything. Long ago, they were 'those guys' who had plasma cannons in tactical squads, jinking bikes & speeders, stubborn units out the wazoo, chaplains with torture devices, 'real' mortis pattern dreadnoughts (via forgeworld at least), etc... Now they're just 'codex: gimped-marines'. Pretty freaking pathetic for GW to do such a huge injustice to the first gakking space marine legion!

Chaos Daemons need options & new units badly. Again, the book is stale because you only have 1 choice per god in each section of the foce org chart outside of HQ's. We desperately need more shooting to be able to compete in the mechhammer environment that's everywhere. We're crying for a way to alter/boost our reserve rolls - for ceying out loud, we *have* to get something when we're forced to start fighting with only 50% of our army on turn 1! Some form of psychic defense is an absolute must s psychic powers are getting deadlier nowadays, and some psychic powers of our own would be nifty as well.
And feth's sake, we need something to bring a modicum of balance to the game when we're force to fight codex: herp-derp knights and all their broken shinanigans they get against us!!!

Sorry other xenos, but I think if GW is going to push Chaos as being the biggest, baddest guys out there who are litterly a threat to the galaxcy itself, then they should get new books asap to actually make them look like something that's honestly threatening! (right now chaos overall is a joke)

Much as I'd like to see a new Codex for my SoB, I will face the unlikeliness of that and say:

Chaos Space Marines
Chaos Daemons
Eldar

In that order.
