So I had this.idea for a game. Basically, it is Space Marine 2. But instead of Titus, you play as a Ultramarine Scout into battle for the first time. After the first mission, maybe Assault.on Black Reach, you go back to a sort of base and become a Space Marine Proper atMaccrage.fortress and you run around, doing mini games like forging and practice fighting. You go through a Space Marines life and enter through the door to initiate through a mission.

In the fortress you can craft weapons. Once it has been crafted succesfully it is unlocked. You then put it in your armoury. When you want to go on a mission you can equip stuff. 2 special weapons, a CCW, a pistol and a bolter of some kind. You can also get stuff like a JP or TDA. You can ascend through the ranks up to chapter master, earning points at the end of each mission.


You can also get special ammo for your bolter like Kraken rounds and Hellfire. Hellfire does more damage, but only against unarmoured targets. Kraken bolts have longer range, Vengeance high AP and Dragonfire has AoE. Along with JP fuel, these are limited and you must spend points to buy more. Bikes are avaible for a handful of specific parts.

Also, more weapons. Add Lightning Claws, Power Fists, Missile Launchers, etc.

Doesn't sound to bad, but well, minigames.. Minigames make me think about Wii games

You should earn 'credits' for how you do in missions, and optional minigames with wich you can earn points, but no special things.

Honestly I would think something of a mixture between SW Battlefront 2 and Team Fortress would be good.

Ah, if you'd make it Chaos, how about the home planet? And the rank system?

Yeah, that sounds quite good. And there.could be like a similar thing for each army (except Necrons and Nids who don't change at a personal level). Chaos could start off as a teenage cultists and you have a part in mission 1 to choose a Legion.

Or for Orks you could have a chance.to choose your Klan. Like you could get rewards such as faster running speed or a permanent.bike for being an evil sun, more money for being a bad.moon and more CC prowess for.a Goff.

With the cultist, Id do 'choose a god-the tv show!'

I think a multiplayer game would be better, with multiple classes and ranks for each.

Yeah. The OP was an.initial idea for a Space Marine sequel.

It's because the campaign is far too hard to properly do without alienating new to 40k players, while some stuff would have to be retconed it keep with the general 40k feel.

It would be a cool mechanic to have a legion pick you. It could be based upon how you completed the level. Ie.

Slaughtered most of your opposition in melee= World Eaters
Attacked head on gunning most opponents down at range=Death Guard
Used movement and subtlety to strike foes from opportune angles of attack=Emperor's Children/Night Lords/Alpha Legion
An even mix of the above=Black Legion

I have to ask, what's with the random fullstops?

I type from a smart phone so I can watch TV at the same time (my TV is also my PC monitor). The full stop is beside the space and it normally happens when I am moving from a letter on the right, like M, to the space. I just hit the wrong key. I try to keep it under control but there is normally a few that get through.

Honestly, i'd rather play the tutorial mission (as all first missions are) with my character at his height...so termie chaos lord with whatever blessings i will get, ork warboss with huge klaw etc. SM captain with all the gubbins of awesome...and right at the end of it, a boss fight that hints at my death.

Then film noir style back things up, and let me progress from snotling to badass.

I just had an idea, i think itd be just as cool to have the game showcase known characters... ie, instead of 'titus' you play through as calgar, ghazzie, etc...having 3 or 4 choices, ie kharne, abaddon, typhus and ahriman for chaos.

For 1t mission, something like SW: Force unleashed 1.
I never felt so badass at the start of a game.

Oh, Idea! We could be like a Captain.or Warboss or something or other badass leader. Then you get killed. Orks could shed spores.and.you develop out of it. Marines could be the geneseed taken from them is put in you and for all other races your son takes you place. Necrons could have your conciousness implanted into a warrior untill a a new body can be made for you.

Something like that. Or he will be your boss for a while.

This sounds like a bad idea, I disliked Space Marine and I guess I would really dislike a chaos version alot more

I wouldn't mind a 40k themed Skyrim type game.

Okay since you acctualy asked nicly I will, for one I hated how the game looked. Secondly it was the other Astartes who really annoyed me. Then it was the lack of suprises and a plot who i had mapped out after the first hour of gameplay.

Then it was the effects of the weapons save the Chainsword & Power axe, also I missed any Terminator missions. I do however praise the attemt albeit if it failed so uttely hard. I would not mind a game with UM if they acctualy where characthers I could be made to care for, I would also like to know more about the good captain.
