I'll start;

It was 2on2, SW and Vanilla marines (me) vs xenos (Tau/Eldar)

Third turn, 5 kroot shot their guns and killed 1 out of 5 termies. That's okay..... . Now 11 FWs shooting their str5 Pulse rifles manages to get of 5 wounds. Well the termies have a 2+ save so we can do that........ So we put 2 on the sarge 1 on the assault cannon and the others on the regular guys. Sarge managed to save them but all the other saves were 1s...... Out of 4 dice no save was ever made! Me and my team mate started groaning on the defeat and shouted why why why????.

Just my experience

Having my Master of Sanctity get gibbed by a lone Deffkopta by failing all 3 of his 4+ invulnerable saves. The game depended on that one too, as I would've been able to stop Ghazghkull from rampaging through the rest of my Crusader Squads with 1 wound left...

My opponent and I were both playing marines, 1500 points. We had a relatively small table (4x4) and not a huge amount of terrain (I think we had a small ruined bldg. in the middle as the objective, and two small forests on either side of the table edge).

Pretty much got tabled in turn 1.

My opponent won the roll, destroyed 4 of my rhinos in fiery explosions. I had a scout squad in one that died in the explosion. I had two 10 man tactical squads that each lost 4 in their explosions, and a 5 man devastator squad that lost 3. Then he immobilized my predator and destroyed the assault cannon on my dreadnought.

I actually managed to win a game once.

I faced a vanilla SM player who had 1 guy left from an assault squad. I kept ignoring him mostly and taking a few pot shots at him but he kept making his saves. On his turn he downed 2 radiers with his pistol. Two consectutive 6 to pen and 6 damage result. This was before flickerfields....

Fateweaver jumps into terrain to be within 6 inches of almost everything in my army. Rolls a 1 for dangerous.. then misses his 3++, then misses his reroll, then rolls double boxcars. No more fateweaver...
I could do nothing but laugh.

This happened yesterday:

Ghaz (with two wounds left) is in combat with a combat squad who only has the Sarge left. He gets charged by Mephiston (who has 3 wounds left) who activated Sanguine Sword. Mephiston deals 3 wounds to Ghaz, who saves 2 of them with his Cybork Body (yes this was after the WAAAGH!), then proceeds to punch Mephiston in the face to kill him and the Sarge.

The other week I charged my Overlord and Lychguard into a (slightly depleted) Guard blob in an attempt to clear them off their home objective. Over two rounds of combat, first the (4) Lychguard then the Overlord were killed!
That was a lot more power weapons attacks than I expected.

you can fire a weapon each turn.

he downed one and then i just too pot shots at him in my turn. his next turn he downed another.

Like he said. Surprising.

A unit of Wyches was nearly destroyed by their raider exploding. The three remaining girls was unlikely to do much of anything, especially when they rolled a 2 and a one for DT, then a 2 for Running. His Dred easily caught them next turn (turn 2. Ugh.) I wasn't sanguine about their chances, given that I have a reputation for only succeeding their 4+ dodge/4+ FNP combo almost 50% of the time. (Meaning that even with rerolls, I save slightly less than half of my wounds on average, rather than th 75% I should be seeing) That Dread then proceeded to spend the next 10 combat rounds tied up as my Wyches made EVERY SINGLE DODGE SAVE THEY WERE CALLED ON TO MAKE. Which is amazing on it's own. But then his other Dread charged my other unit of Wyches in turn 3, and saw the same thing happen. Every save. Every turn. Both units. 100% success on the saves. Which, ironicly enough, cost me the game (and the tournament.)

Forgot to add this, same game.

Well from the termies, sarge was left behind right? So, my teamate moves him in range of the devilfish rear armour. We rolled a 6 for armour pen and another 6 for damage result. He then assaulted it with him and he rolled ANOTHER 6 for armour pen and ANOTHER 6 for immoblilsing=wreck. We got a killpoint woot! Except eldar player assaulted my scouts so we lost a game due to the termies' bad rolling haha

Best suprise:
Crusader squad and a loan assault marine taking down the chaos lords terminator retuine and taking the chaos lord with a daemon weapon down to 1 wound, lost many brothers, but it had to be done, the chaos player had destroyed a fellow players sm squad all of a sudden, the coward!

Worst suprise: First time ever buying a land raider, was so thrilled to use it, first game ever with it, it explodes on turn 1 :(

Curving executioner plasma cannon shots (plus plasma cannon sponsons) leading to the destruction of 4 vehicales. 2 Rhinos and 2 Razorbacks (main target Razorback was destroyed by hull las cannon, but the others were exploded by extreamly lucky scattered shots).

A Space Marine Captain missing all of his melee attacks allowing my Company commander and commisar to beat him down. (Commisar power fist to da face!)

Vaporized Creed from across the board with a Volcano Cannon shot from my Shadowsword after hellhounds cok his entire squad minus him.

Tabling a Guard army with five wolf scouts and an outflanking Wolf Priest.

Killing three Thunder wolfs + Wolf Lord with Kharn is the most insane thing that has happend to me

Umm...

Managing to take down a Leman Russ with a Turbo-Boosting Rhino, exploding both vehicles and pinning an Infantry Squad.

Yesterday GK & Tau vs. BT & Chaos Marines in a killpoint game

The BT and Chaos players were trying to get a KP off my lone tetra, firing at it for 4 turns with 3 Devastator squads and various other squads. Got like 15 1's to hit. The few that did hit I always made my 4+ cover save. Ended up tying he game because they couldn't kill a single armor 10 open topped skimmer.

Another game against the old school Necron codex had my Crisis suit commander killing a Necron lord on a Destroyer body in CC.

bringing my master of the ravenwing landspeeder flay out into a land raider and both exploding each other... later we found that i could not actually do this, but we left it as it was lolarific

My mate used his Shokk Attack Gun, aimed it at my Tervigon on Turn 1.

He rolled a Direct Hit, along with Double-6.

Well I was rushing my Sanguinary Guard at my friends Carnifex. Im just out of assault range and then its my friends turn. Then I learn that carnifexes can spawn babies. My SG were then swamped and killed by his gaunts.

An Ork trukk survived a game of shooting from my Mechdar, and ended up being the last KP I needed to draw in an absolutely horrific game of dice-fails on my part, and epic rolls on the opponent's.

Although the epic rolls for him weren't surprising considering that in an earlier game vs Deathwing, he didn't lose a single model bar the trukk, and was making cybork body saves left, right and centre.

Actually, scratch the last bit where he only lost the trukk to Deathwing, forgot that both his loota meks fried themselves, so he actually killed more of his army than the Deathwing force.

Killteam game. 5 Genestealers, a Zoanthrope and 10 Termagants vs a 8 man Sternguard squad. Genestealer inflitrated behind a wall exactly 12.1" away. I even stated where he was. I measured 12.1 and stuck him there. Then I mo ved through cover 6", ran 2" and was still out of assault range by a fraction of an inch? Last time I checked 6+2+6=14.

I had a fully tricked out unit of Death Company, led by a chaplain charge a unit of Ogryns led by a lord commissar. The Death company annihilated the Ogryns in two rounds of melee for next to no loss. However the Commissar made every single save for the rest of the game, eventually killing off the entire DC squad, the chaplain and then surviving my shooting later in the game. If me and my opportune weren't so busy laughing I would have been very annoyed.

Also spent a turn shooting my entire guard army at a different lord commissar, same result, made every 5+ or 5++ save he was called to make. Commissars hate me.

Fought a Necron player with my Imperial Guard Armor Regiment, lost everything but 3 Tanks and a Lord Commissar but still won.
