Yep the mask is GS, wasn't very difficult to do – just put a blob on his face and moved it around with a sculpting tool using the point for the eye hole.

The gold was a bit experimental so not sure I remember the exact process. I think it went:
- Black undercoat
- Tin Bitz basecoat
- P3 solid gold
- Gryphonne Sepia wash (2-3 thin coats)
- Rub n' Buff gold highlights
- Rub n' Buff silver highlights

Well done, this Tycho is classy.

Looks good, but I'm not a fan of the legs, just looks goofy and unnatural.

The legs are straight from the Sanguinary Guard kit. I used them because he's supposed to be in Artificer armour and has the head of Sanguinius on one knee (not sure if you can see that in the pic) as shown in the Codex. I think the reason they look odd is that they're assault legs tweaked to look like he's walking / jogging / running – but maybe not tweaked enough!

As for the legs: from behind they look a bit unnatural, but as you said, they were designed for minis with jump packs. From the front the model (and the banner!) just looks amazing!

great looking work! Ive always wondered what Tycho would look like in action...rather than striking a pose with his combi-melta mounted on his hip! I think the only thing that is missing is the power weapon (digital weapon) on his left hand.
