Welcome!
We would like to present You our latest project ‒ an army of Amazons. All miniatures will be made in 28 mm heroic scale that perfectly fits in with the most of available war games. As a young company we have decided to invest in remarkable design of our miniatures and their high quality that is possible thanks to the excellent resin.
We would like You to see that our miniatures are created with a real passion. And if You like them, we encourage You to support our project, especially that the prices in the campaign are about 25% lower than those planned for the future regular sale. Once again, we cordially invite You to participate in our project!

First, They look GREAT!

Second, make some sci-fi infantry females(amazon style)!

Third, brace yourself for the potential backlash of the anti "women exploitation in fantasy miniatures" crowd. Stay the course.

The basic rank and file cost 15 virtual coins per model. If you pledge $25 that's equal to a price of $5.00. If you pledge $1,000 that's equal to a price of $4.30. That's not an army-friendly price, not for basic human infantry.

I'd like to see some proof that you have the ability to actually sculpt a 28mm scale female mini. All you have to show so far is some sort of chaos spawn. No offense.

The art shown so far isn't selling them for me. For the record, Barbie is not an accurate representation of a 'sexy' female form.

These don't look like amazons. They don't really even look human.

Good luck with it, though.

Two cantaloupes tied to the chest of a woman doesn't do it for you?

Lord Blackfang has the right of it here. A sculpted female mini as proof of ability would be very helpful and, really, should have been done before launching into crowdfunding.

Considering their current track record, I don't think I'd buy into a SOB one for them.

Haha, thought you were being super sarcastic, until I looked them up and saw that they had in fact sculpted a chaos spawn...

To fill that void, I will only say that as you haven't shown that you can DRAW a female I'm less than convinced that we're going to see quality sculpts here.

The concept art they released today didn't look bad at all. Looked very much like the artwork for sisters. I don't think they will be a "cheap" alternative but If they end up like the artwork they released I might have to start buying stuff from them.

This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: March 02, 2014 - April 05, 2014 (11:59pm PT).

I had always assumed that an unfunded offering probably wasn't going to get produced, and if that's the case, everyone would be out there money?

The illustrations show a bunch of barbie dolls in fur bikinis and booties. A good sculpter could make these look nice. A bad one will make them look horrible.
Until i see at least greens, i don't have much trust. Hell, I wasted nearly 1000.00 on a line that I had seen the greens of. Nice greens, models turned out with not as much detail and a bit on the weedy side. After 2 years i cut my losses and got back 200 of the 1000 or so i spent in discount bins.

At the very least, seeing one sculpted figure is needed. Sculpting a chaos spawn doesn't mean you can sculpt beautiful women. Or barbie dolls in fur.

It seems that most people share the problem I have with this project: there just is no evidence presented that the project creator can actually produce the figures being offered.

Let's be honest here, female minis are some of the hardest miniatures to sculpt successfully, with even very established companies and sculptors missing the mark.

There is just... nothing. Seriously, the concept art is not without a certain charm, but it also has the look of a fashion book abstract, not something that could, even in the most competent of hands, be translated into reality.

Yup this is one of the two options on Indiegogo (the other being the KS model),

It tends not to inspire confidence in a business using the method though as that very much depends on them finding the remainder of the necessary funding from other sources

(that said I have backed projects that funded that way and got the stuff pretty much on time too)

This. Successful creative projects require strong concept art. This project hasn't even gotten that far yet.

Going to have to agree with this.

There's always a level of 'embellishment' that can be attributed to aesthetic, but this is missing the mark by miles. It's clear not so much that your artist is trying to make a form with exaggerated images, but rather, that they have no understanding of the human form, and are severely lacking in technical drawing skill, since they struggle to render even basic forms.

If you really want to get support based entirely on concept art alone, have your artist spend a few years drawing from life and reference before you even attempt something like this.

While I think the sketches are great and far more accurate than many are giving them credit for / aware of, I can't support this with little to no reassurance given that I will see any sort of return on my money even if you do make the $4K mark, which also seems optimistic. It doesn't have to even be a similarly sculpted mini (although that would help and probably be the easiest for you), I just needed to see SOMETHING up there.

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.

Exalted.

I can't see any appeal in this offering but each to their own.

More like a lonely teen. Either way, it doesn't look like the women I've met, nor does it resemble the ones I see on TV or movies. I mean, when your pictures are 100% women that would make Angelina Jolie look plain, I think it's clear you've gone over the edge. That's my taste, anyway.

Spoiler:

In all seriousness, the concepts are ludicrous at best and I would not want to build an army from any of those poses. Not something I'd pledge for, especially without seeing any actual 3D models or greens. I've heard the term "cheesecake" used a lot when it comes to female models. I think this might epitomize what those people were talking about.
