Starting off something I've been wanting to paint for a while. The Great Unclean One. It's a wonderful model and I really like all the little nooks and crannys this thing has.

After assembly I had to do a little green stuff repair here and there to make sure the joins aren't to narly. Over all the model went together pretty smooth.

I've got some base colors down. Mostly washes.

So I've done a lot of work without posting. I keep forgetting to post. So this is the finished piece.

It looks great, in a horrible, disgusting kind of way.

I really like the choice of colours you've used. A bit more interesting that the traditional green.

I have seen so many of the traditional Unclean Ones that have been too dark to really bring out the detail on this model. I wanted to show off some of it so I went lighter.

Start of a new project is always exciting. Now it's on to some termies for my Death Guard. With the base coats applied it won't be too long before they are done.

Ooo I really like that green. What range/colour is that?

That green is from Minitaire called Pestilence Flesh. I choose it because it's not a "health" green color. After all. if your Death guard, who wants to look health?

The Great Unclean one looks great. I would have been happy to get mine to the wash stage your got yours to, when finished it looked even better.
I'm building a Death Guard/Nurgle themed army so hopefully I can get some inspiration from your blog

@ Huron black heart - I hope you find something you like in my posts. I will share techniques and tricks that I know.

Some progress for today on the termies. Blocking out base colors and some battle damage. I'm also trying my hand at a new way to do power swords. I'm not really happy with it right now.

A little more work. Decals are on. Heads in place. I've done some washing on the trim but no highlights yet.

Really nice choices and detail on the demon, Termies coming together nicely as well. I'll stay tuned for more!

Taking a quick break from normal models to do something different. Terrain. Starting with the new containers from GW. Easy enough pieces to put together. Hinging the doors proved a little challenging but it should work out in the end. I am also adding lights to the one with the hinged doors.

I really like your take on the unclean one. Great color choices. Terminators are looking good so far as well. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Another quick update. I wasn't happy with the blue on the sword so I went with red. I think it's a better contrast for the model. With the shoulder pads in place they are ready for some gloss coat then it's on with the weathering. Anyway, here's the next round of pictures.

Good call, I really like the power sword.

They turned out fantastic. Nice weathering. Again, those bases are awesome, they give these guys a ton of character.

Oh My goodness, that weathering looks great! I was scared to do my weathering on my DG Termies and just did a very light sponging of a dark grey... and this has just made me want to get a bit more paint on the sponge and go to town with a brown...
