Colourful knights is basically any Space Marine chapter.

Noble Houses is Imperial Knights. Basically these things are piloted by someone from a house, so they'll often be fighting in their own house colours together with other house knights

Imperial knights.

Alternatively if you don't want massive robots basically space marines are your best bet.

Black Templars
Grey Knights
Dark Angels

These are the most medieval looking/knight based chapters from the lore.

Or you could create your own chapter heavily influenced by bretonnia and using a lot of bikers as knights.

dont exists any sutch official chapters that i know of.
You might want to take a look at the lore for black templars or imperial fists. if not you just have to make you own chapter.

Grey Knights are probably the closest to an Arthurian-themed force.

Otherwise, Black Templars if you want fanatic and honor-engrossed Crusading Knights.

Could do a White Scars successor chapter that's more about 'knightly' bike charges rather than the WS's current 'Mongolian horde'-based theming.

Black templars or any home brew knightly looking space marine army can be made even more knightly looking with simple headswaps. The odd knight style helmet dotted around would work really well.

Look at some of these chaps from John Blanche's BEAUTIFUL 3rd edition cover. Very medieval and one guy is basically wearing a Bretonnian helmet

I'd say Dark Angels are the closest match, they even have knight terminators. Hell, even their primarch is inside "The Rock" sleeping. I believe in Arthurian legend King Arthur and his Knights are doing the same thing.

As a Bretonnian player I'd say Black Templars. They go on crusades, take vows and new members undergo trials (similar to Bretonnian Knights going out on quests to kill dudes to prove themselves) and effectively become a squire to higher ranking members of the chapter.

.... I'm really weirded out by how many people forget about dark angels being almost entirely based around this. Maybe it's due to the play style not being very knightly but they are the ones thematically based around it. You've even got ravenwing for "mounted" units.

If you want true mounted warriors that aren't on bikes things get harder. Hardly any army uses actually mounts. You've got chaos demons, IG, or space wolves. None of which really fit a knight aesthetic. Although you'd hardly be the first person to face me using IG drawn from a medieval world. Could look at death Korps rules is you want to go this route and just use converted models.

Black Templars wouldn't be a good fit because the Knights of the Grail legend/Brettonia have entities like Merlin and the Lady of the Lake, the Black Templars don't abide by sorcerers, so they wouldn't mix well.

There's no straight army to rep this, however if you wanted to do something like this there's a few things to consider. There are about 13 Knights all in all, plus Merlin, and the Lady of the Lake. You would most likely be looking at mounted units, so something along those lines would best fit the bill. A Knight army will only have 4-5 Knights at any time on the field, so you would have a limited selection of people you are representing, but then again you have a bigger model to decorate and customize with.

Another option would be to run some Space Marines, you could do them on some sort of mount, which is how people tend to think of them as being on Horseback, in which case would would want to do something with Bikers or Thunderwolf Calvary but the last one would require some good conversions to look right. Personally I would consider perhaps running at least several of them on foot using a number of HQ units to represent each of the Knights themselves.

Also keep in mind, that each of these Knights were in turn lords of their own armies, so you could run a few of them with some cheap troop or Elite units to represent there personal guards. Going with Inquisitors and their bodyguard units. There's literally no end of options for this theme.

Yeah the Black Templars are more historical than fantasy - they're based around the Knights Templar of the Crusades more than anything legendary.

They're essentially the Teutonic Order in SPAAAACE

I always saw Dark Angels more as monks than knights what with the robes and all.

Which is fair. They look like crusading knights rather than the more fantasy/secular knight designs. Honestly, they should switch with the black templars if the two actually wanted to match their source lore correctly.

Krieg! What a hole...

Using Krieg rules and lots of Death Riders equivalent would work well for a human Bret army.

I would probably design my own chapter and include an imperial knight. That is about as sci-fi knightly as you can probably get. It would be a fun project as well. Each marine being a noble with their own coat of arms banding together under the banner of the head noble.
You could even use guardsmen as commoners who are there to support the lords.
Mounted or biker marines could be a focus with white scars rules or maybe use Death Watch to make each of them a bit more unique. Your limited by your imagination honestly, but I'd love to actually try this out with full background and painting to go along with it.

It's because the 'dark angels are monastic knights' thing was a weird retcon. They started as hypno-induced drug addled psychopaths like all the other chapters, became native americans, then suddenly wham, knights out of nowhere.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

Oh the (I assume) Ogryn Knights are a nice touch. Now that rough riders aren't as useless they might be worth including.

Think I would go with a mix of Imperial forces.

Guardsmen using the plastic bret infantry (as shown above). Marine Scout bikers as your Errants, regular marine bikers as your Realms, and veteran bikers as your Grails. The company champion on bike could easily be done up as the green knight Add an Imperial knight if you want to as well.

Imperial knights are Arthurian knights, full stop.
They're gallant heroes that abide by a strict code of chivalry, they go on individual quests and trials and are all about dat sick personal heraldry.
For crying out loud, there's even a named GREEN KNIGHT.

These marine chapters are space knights, but they're not really based on Arthurian legend.

How about recruits are taken from young knights errant from feudal worlds?

Using White Scars rules, perhaps the former knights / new aspirants' old steeds are harvested to provide matter for the organic cogitators in bikes, jump packs, speeders, APCs and so on that that the knights will be crewing? This way they get to retain the familiarity with the quirks of the steed they grew up with once they are fully fledged space marines!

Or you could have your own custom regiment of AM using Rough Riders and Death Korps of Krieg Death Riders. The Rough Riders being Knights Errant, the Kreig Riders being Knights of the Realm and the Kreig Command Squads being Questing Knights.
Then you also have your men-at-arms as the Infantry.

Was thining their leader to be High king Arthurain (Kor'Sarro khan rules) And Lancelot beeing an imperial knight, going for the trope of them beeing one the missing chapters of the ninth primarch
calling themself knights of the ninth, haveing large squads of bikers and attack bikes, just need an idea for the artillery backup?
Thinking of Uther Pendragon as an dreadnaught with other dreadnaughts laying down heavy firepower
