Subject: Fans Protest at Warhammer World - WarCom (Fake News!)
We have partnered with Calth News to bring you exclusive footage of the demonstration mounted by passionate fans at Warhammer World, the spiritual home of the Warhammer hobby. More to come as this story unfolds.
Next you'll be telling me that the life-size Tactical Rock wasn't real either!

Our partners at Calth News have provided an update on the demonstrations demanding ‘More Ultramarines, More Often’ outside Warhammer headquarters, Nottingham. Now in their third day, the protest shows no signs of abating. The Warhammer Studio has now responded with an official statement. How long can this last? We’ll have more on Warhammer Community as the situation unfolds. Let your voice be heard by email at: UltramarineBlues@gwplc.com

Nah, this is just marketing build up to the 500 Worlds stuff that's incoming.

Honestly, that would be a hilarious bait and switch. Run a couple tongue and cheek mocks about fans asking for more of the poster boys, and finish with “We’ve heard your demands for more Ultras, and then decided to answer with this obscure faction release!”
This doesn't really sit very comfortably with me. Considering one of the armies I play (Dark Eldar) literally just had it's eventual and decidedly lacklustre codex release over-shadowed by new Ultramarine models announced out of nowhere for no apparent reason, I don't really know what they're trying to say that's not just being a dick and rubbing that in. Yeah GW, we know, we're the bloody NPCs. But at least try to look like you care about any of your other factions, yeah?

The whole format is an admission that SM, and Ultras, get the lion’s share of attention. They have heard your complaints, or would not be doing it this way.
What actions they take is another story. We know there is the 500 worlds and the already announced Ultras. But will there be more then the token xenos we’ve seen? Is this a lead up to the foes in the other half of the 11th starter?

I’d love to see Exodites myself.
They already did that somewhat in the last video with the guy saying "We're all Ultramarine fans here" while pointing at his Word Bearers t-shirt.

(I’d actually love to see that. The original had a solid rules base for a game that probably sold 95% to people just adding the minis to their HH armies)
There are a few Heresy type bits in there - even the reporter's name has a bit of an easter egg I think; Mark from (of) Calth...?
More Ultramarine releases, even for 30k, would seem a bit crazy after all the new stuff they've just had but I guess this is some kind of tongue in cheek bait and switch?
Assuming it's staying 40k related, given the Word Bearers t-shirt that James Workshop had on and the use of Calth for the "news" network (rather than Macragge or another planet in Ultramar), maybe there is something coming for the Word Bearers - maybe they'll be the main "big bad" behind the 500 worlds story?
Probably a crazy idea, but maybe a Daemon Lorgar for the Christmas reveal...?

Stay tuned!
Well yeah, we'll see (as ever) but it's getting to the point where I'm really not prepared to have a sense of humour about it! Ultramarine announcement -> Ultramarine announcement -> "Ho ho aren't we funny, we only release Ultramarine stuff". Yeah, no.
