with the uk gt faq allowing demonic speed characters to infiltrate and start on the board during escalation. I was thinking about dumping the fun part of my list for power gaming pieces.

I had fabius bile and genetic corruption on a couple of squads. I could drop this and add two Lt's with infiltrate and speed and talons strength. giving 10 rending attacks on  possible first turn charges. think it is worth it?

i used to use two infiltrating speed lieutenants in my AL, they were uber dirty. The only problem i had was the rest of the list that followed.

Is this in anyway clear? The relevant sections of the FAQ appear to me to be:


"Q./ Can a chaos lord with daemonics speed deploy by infiltration?
A./ Yes."

and

"Q./ Can daemonics speed units deploy in escalation, codex say move as beast, not count as
beasts, but it seams silly to allow them to set up in escalation.
A./ No."

So the character may infiltrate, we can all agree, but infiltrate in itself doesn't allow the model to start on the table in escalation - you need 'scout' for that. instead it appears the character may not start on the table, as demonic speed must start in reserve in escalation.

the 2nd question is now 'yes' speed-lord can now deploy in escalation
other changes as well, and a lot of stuff removed. so shoddy!

I think they changed the FAQ due to the mass spam amount of emails Brian received on the hills issue. But for speed in escalation, who knows. Maybe a few people complained about Pete Haines saying one thing on the GW forums and then it saying another thing in the FAQ.

Its definitely making me consider taking AL with two speed lieutenants, though my eldar are too nice and shiny to resist skimmer doom.
